Banshee was finding herself lonely these days. Her best friend had vanished, leaving her truly alone. Never had she experienced a time without Penda. Penda had been beside her since the day she left her bowl. Now? She was alone, and it was heart-breaking. She didn't know what to do with Penda. She didn't know what to think or feel. Her best friend was her only friend, and now... She... She....
Banshee had left home recently. She didn't want to be there anymore, where everyone was prettier than her and she was left to sulk about the loss of Penda, who just randomly vanished. She hated acknowledging the fact that she was not special among her family. Everyone had something different about them, whether it be feet wings or hair. Her? She had nothing except a glowing mouth. She was not unique. Perhaps this was why her friend left her.
She was growing depressed, she realized. Normally so sweet and hyper, Banshee was currently in a pit. The only thing that really cheered her up was seeing her father from time to time, her mother lately being gone somewhere. It seemed the women in her life enjoyed just vanishing.
She had met a vixen recently, she remembered. Shandeigh was her name. Banshee had met her and was happy to do so, but as usual she hadn't seen her since. It was a sad thought, knowing that she had friends only for seconds. Hrn. She really wasn't one to sulk this much...

 In all reality, her absence hadn't been due to the other fem only having a smile - it was because she'd gone on a trip to see the big museum, and it was a long ways away. Couple that with a few mishaps here and there, and Viola! You have a missing noodle for some length of time. As fun as it had been though, she was finally back in the area, and ready to explore again.
It was as she was bouncing through that she spotted the girl with the glowing grin. She'd seen her before! She was sure of it! She pranced forward and then shouted, "Hippo!" then sat down and smiled. "They kill more people a year than sharks and crocs combined. Isn't that weird? They're so fat." she said happily, and then sat down.
"You look sad though - why is that? Did someone you know get killed by a hippo?!" she said, and then looked sad and patted her freind on the shoulder. "I'm very sorry for your loss."

Now, Banshee was more than surprised when a certain female ran by and up to her. The hippo comment didn't startle her, instead her eyes widened, shocked. "Really?!" She squeaked, glowing mouth turning into a faint "o" before dropping. "I think their kinda cute. <3" She purred, though stopped when the woman spoke further, ears dropping.
"A hippo didn't kill someone." She muttered lowly, looking down. "A friend just vanished off the face of the earth. My best friend." Once more her head lowered further, then suddenly she looked up, smiling.
"But enough of that! Hi! Nice to see you again!"

The darker furred noodle wagged her tail in energetic fashion. "I'm sorry I went away for so long - I was visiting the museum, and I got really lost along the way in the city. It was really kindof fun though - very exciting. It made my heart go doki doki!" she said, and giggled. "That's the Japanese sound for a heart beating."
It took a moment for her to finally find the presence of mind to pull out the little gift she'd bought for Banshee. "I saw this while I was wandering, and couldn't help but think of you - so I bought it for you. It's a little necklace with glitter stars in it. The glitter will shine in the dark!"

Doki doki? She blinked, nodding in thought. "Doki doki?" The silly vixen touched her chest, chirping along "doki doki" with her heartbeat before grinning back at the other. It was a relief knowing that Shan hadn't just ran off because she disliked Banshee. Actually, it was more than a relief. It settled her worry of her being annoying right down.
Suddenly, the other was moving about and presenting something, mentioning about it being a present. Her eyes widened, mouth becoming a wide smile as a tiny gasp escaped her. Oh! Gently, almost worried she might break it, she took it from Shan, admiring it's glitter. Slipping it over her head, she looked up at Shan, giving her a quick but firm hug.
"Thank you so much! This is the nicest thing I've ever been given, it's amazing!" Anything shiny, glittery, and glowing made her go over the moon. Banshee stared at the necklace lovingly, tail wagging quickly. "Thank you so so much!"

Sha hugged her back, and wagged her tail just as rapid, excited that her freind had liked the gift. "You can get it to recharge if you sit out in the sun, and it's good for about 10 years before any fading will occur!" she said, and then burst out another random fact. "The first glowing time pieces were made with radioactive material, and applied solely by women, who's hands were surer. They had to lick the tips of their brushes to keep them sharp, and that means they would ingest the deadly paint."
She seemed unphased by the fact that this was a kindof gruesome fact - all facts were equal in her eyes, and all of them just as fascinating.

Blinking, Banshee frowned slightly. "Really? What happened to them as a side-effect? Did they have mutated babies? Did they get cancer?"
She wiggled gently, raising her necklace to try and see through it, failing. Tail twitching against the ground, she grinned joyfully, deciding that she'd never ever not wear the necklace. It belonged right where it was! Though, hopefully this wasn't made of radioactive goop, too!

"I never really heard. I'm sure that some did develop cancer though. It would take a lot of exposure for that to happen. Today we make things that glow either with two chemicals that mix - namely Phenyl oxalate and fluorescent dye solution and a hydrogen peroxide solution - or, by simple use of a fluorescent powder mixed with plastic - neither of which are harmful to the human body." she said, and smiled, taking a breath. She hadn't breathed the entire time.
It was clear that she was pleased - the other fem liked her gift! People normally didn't like her gifts so much - they always tended to be weird in some way, or they simply didn't want all the facts along with it. She never undrstood why - these things were fascinating.

Nodding until the other was done, she flicked her tail across herself, nodding. Well, she had her personal little.... um.. what was the word? Encyclopedia! Purring low in her throat, she grinned at her friend.
"I'm so glad you came back. I was worried you'd..." She trailed off, shrugging. "Nevermind~ Hey! Since we're close to my house, want to come over for some drinks and food?"

"That would be awesome!" the darker furred one said, excited at the prospect of food. She hadn't eaten for a while, and the thought of food was just... "I'm so hungry that my stomach is growling at me - the scientific term for that is borborgymi." she said, and bounced a little. It was also stisfying - to think that she had a freind. She really didn't have any of those - people tended to think she was just this hyper know it all.
She looked around, to try and see if she could spot the place, and then looked at Banshee, striking an epic pose. "Lead the way, Mon Capitan!"

Smiling wide at her friend, she nodded and happily hopped forward. Perhaps her mother would be home, but then again.. she hadn't seen here mama in awhile.
- Time Skip -
"We're here!" Finally. It had only taken them hours to get to their house, what with Shan and Banshee's stops. They both seemed to be distracted easily, and together.... well.... However, here they were, and as she opened the door to her house she was greeted with the smell of cookies.
"If you wait in the living room I'll go see whose home!" She chirped, smiling as she pointed at a red room adorned with chairs and paintings, hopping off to visit the kitchen.

Doing as she was told, the dark furred girl went into the room and looked all around, exploring everything and then some before settling on the couch and looking around again. This certainly was a pretty room, and the red paint on the walls was lead free. The paintings were positively fascinating, and some of them had the texture that could only be because of oil paints. She wanted to touch, even if she knew you really weren't supposed to do that. "I wonder who made all these?" she mused, tilting her head cutely.

Hopping into the kitchen, she stopped her beloved daddy. Her arms immediately wrapped around him, snuggling into his broad back. Chamber laughed gently, setting down the tray of cookies he held firmly in his hands.Chamber turned to view his daughter, hugging her tight. His eyes drifted as her emotions flickered through him, though she was usually safe to hug. Usually. Today she seemed elated, which only meant two things. Penda returned, or she met someone. Judging by the lack of a lion noodle running in here, it had to be the second one.
And then Banshee was dragging him by the paw, eager to show him something. When he stumbled into the living room he spotted a pretty young noodle, blinking. Oh?
"Hello...Miss....." "Shandeigh." She chirped, grinning. "She's my friend! Oh, and, this is Chamber, Shan~" She grinned and hopped off for cookies, returning with a full plate and setting them down.
"And daddy make cookies~

Shandeigh quickly tried to hide the bit of fluff she'd been playing with that she'd found between the couch cushions and looked rather like a deer in the headlights for a moment before starting to recite a simple recipe for chocolate chip cookies - only stopping herself when she realized how silly she probably sounded. Her ears drooped then, and she looked away. "Sorry - I'm just nervous. It's... Not every day I get to meet one of the parents of someone I care alot for."

Smiling brightly, she turned her head back and looked towards the kitchen. "Daddy, play nice, okay? I'm going to make us food that isn't sweets!" With this, she smiled fondly at the two before skipping off. He was about to protest. He always played nice! Besides, he liked making people happy. Also, this girl had said something very interesting. Turning to view her, he noticed she was nervous. Sitting down to comfort her, the male folded his paws.
"You two are close?" He smiled warmly. "I'm very glad. It's a pleasure to meet you. I worry about her. I'm so glad she has a friend, thank you." He smiled again, relaxing. "Do you want a cookie?"
