The Fire Field: A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are hot to the touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FIRE type attacks. This field reduces ICE and WATER type attacks by 25 HP.

"Whew, it is hot in here!" Sienna started fanning herself as soon as she walked in the stadium. Kipper would not have fun with this field. It would be decent flying practice though, as the pillars looked very hot.
"Come on out boy!" Sienna tossed his pokeball at one of the rock pillars. The psyduck appeared in a flash of red. "" He quacked, dancing at the top of the pillar. "Try to stay in the air, Kipper!"

"All right!" Zinnia said as a wave of heat hit her. She immediately began to sweat, but the grin remained on her face. "This is a field that we can use to our advantage! Let's do our best, Zyk. I know that heat is uncomfortable, but at least we don't have to worry as much about ice attacks, right? Let's do our best!"
"Zu!" Zyk agreed fervently. If there was an attack type that he hated more than electric, it was ice! He flew out into position in the stadium. It was hot, but the breeze from flying made it bearable.

"We'll go first!" Zinnia said to Zyk. "Use Ominous Wind!"
Zyk flapped his wings quickly, enveloping himself in a chilling breeze that was actually quite comfortable in the boiling stadium. He was ready to go!

"Use Giga Drain!" Zinnia commanded.
Zyk opened his mouth, and a strange green ball of pale light formed there. Suddenly, it shot out at Kipper, and a beam connected the two pokemon. Zyk then attempted to suck some energy out of Kipper.

The green light was not kind to the psyduck, and stole away a large portion of his health. He stayed airborne as best he could though, and circled on the hot air.

((Kipper actually took more damage because Zyk has increased attack. 150 * 2 = 300 + 50 = 350... 900 - 350 = 550))
The Psychic made Zyk stumble in mid-flight, but he recovered himself quickly, shaking his head to clear it. He continued to emit high-pitched chirps, allowing him to 'see.'

The psyduck barely had a chance to recover before another powerful giga drain hit him.
"Psychic again!" Her pokemon was obviously tired, but they weren't out just yet.

The next Psychic attack distorted Zyk's concentration so severely that he crash-landed on one of the hot pillars. He got back to his wobbly feet, but his head was still pounding.
"C'mon, Zyk! Just one more Giga Drain!"

Just after he got in a powerful hit of his own, he was struck with that dreaded green beam of light. Kipper fainted promptly; Sienna saw it coming and quickly returned her pokemon, not wanting him anywhere near the lava below.
"Thanks for the battle! That's quite a Zubat you have there," She smiled. "See you around~"

"Yes! You did it!" Zinnia exclaimed as her pokemon flew back to her. They were both ecstatic; it was the first match that Zyk had won in a long time, and they had done it so quickly! "Thanks for the match!" she called back to Sienna, somewhat belatedly.
Overcome by their shared enthusiasm, Zinnia snatched Zyk straight out of the air and held his warm, furry body in an embrace. Zyk didn't complain, though it wasn't the most comfortable of positions, particularly right after a battle. He squeaked happily, and was proud that he could at last prove to his trainer that he was strong after all, and that she could rely on him in the future.
