As she made her way deeper into the forrest, Amaia became certain of one thing, she was lost. She looked around to see if there was anything around her that looked familiar. Nothing. She let out a sigh. Of course the one day she felt adventurous she would get herself lost. Why oh why did she ever leave her den? She was safe there. Nothing dangerous ever happened there. She hoped that once she made her way back to her den she would never have the urge to venture away from her home.
That morning she woke up from a dream. It wasn't a pleasant dream. She had grown old, but was still living in the same area. In fact she never went far from the area. She never met anyone new, never found a mate and never had cubs. The thought terrified her. She had never wanted any companionship before, but she liked that that option was available. She did not want to be stuck in her den for the rest of her life.
That was the reason for her little morning adventure. If she had known that she was going to get lost she never would have left. She was angry at herself for being so compulsive. It would be lucky if she got to her den before nightfall, she thought to herself. As she walked she found a creek. At last a sign of hope! There was a creek that was near her den. It flowed into the lake outside her den. She hoped this was that very creek.

Bedraggled and battered, it was an appearance that he was renowned for but this would have been unsurprising to anyone who knew how often he was dragged through bushes, tossed into oceans or cast into mud puddles. This wasn't to say that he was accustomed to violence or abuse, but he had definitely had his fair share of awkward moments as he had trekked across the world - or at least quite a bit of it... Suffice to say that Eremerus was no stranger to adventure and there was no such thing as 'lost'.
Momentarily misplaced was more appropriate, or alternatively, on the road to discovery.
This evening however he was on his own and was not accompanied by his Klipspringer companion who had elected to stay behind for a family reunion of some description. They had agreed to meet up again when he next passed through the plains but as it stood now, he was on his own for the time being and that meant he could enter even more hostile territory... after all, he didn't have to keep an eye out for the preybeast!
Admittedly he wouldn't call the jungle hostile territory, but it had the potential to be a brief stop over before something more 'awesome', aha but if only he knew what he was about to meet, otherwise he might have brushed up on his social skills!

Amaia walked further down the creek, but it just simply withered away. She knew the chances of it being her creek was small but she at least had hope. Now with the end of the stream she had nothing. She went to turn back and look somewhere else when she saw a hint of pink among the green. She cautiously went closer to inspect the pink. Still feet away, she realized the pink was a marking on a leopard.
As silently as she approached, she quickly backed away. Her back feet though landed on a slippery rock. She found herself losing balance and rolling back into the creek, causing a small splash. At first she wasn't sure what she should do next. More than anything she wanted to sink into the water and hide there. She knew that wasn't an option. The practical choice was to get out of the water and run as fast as she could.
However as much as she wanted to scurry away from the creek, away from the stranger, she found her feet just wouldn't move. She realized that he was probably from fear that her feet refused to move. Quickly she moved her gaze toward the creek, to make it appear as if she was looking for a fish, instead of petrified by fear. Perhaps that way she would look more intimidating.((Sorry for the late tag. I am out of school now so I will be faster at tagging rps))
