Ohh, her hands were so sore! Terpsichore tried to hide the pout that threatened as she readjusted the backpack on her shoulders, bouncing it further up. Sure, she liked to help out when it was needed, and she wasn't going to complain about it if someone requested the aid, but she really did not enjoy manual labor. However, who else was going to help pack up camp? Endymion couldn't without shredding the tent, and Margarita... well, she was having too much fun chucking random objects at people to really be more than just a pest.
Besides, Terp was ecstatic to be able to use her arms, something she never really had as a pokémon. She was still on cloud nine about the fact that she was more human-looking now! So of course she was going to jump at the opportunity... Stupid, stupid! Her hands were throbbing!
Which was why she had wandered off from the group in the first place. Nix still wanted to gather supplies at the nearest town -- they always needed more supplies -- so they still had a wait ahead of them. This meant that Terpsichore had time to figure out a way to get herself to feel better. There was a stream nearby the encampment and just outside of town. The sun was still in the process of warming up the spring air, so the stream was sure to be on the cold side. Dunking her forearms into the water, she verified this fact, though a slight shiver ran across her shoulders. At least it felt pretty good!

A young woman with brown hair was resting against an Oak tree, a snoring sound coming from her lips. What appeared to be a little boy sat beside her, looking tempted to wake the woman up. He took a deep breath and poked her in the arm. The woman continued to snore and the little boy let out a frustrated sigh, before he poked her again, more urgently this time.
"Five more minutes, Mommy,"the woman said sleepily without opening her eyes.
"Deanna, get up! I am hungry and I can't seem to get your bag open!"the little boy whined. Dea opened her right eye a crack and looked over to the boy.
"Alright, Eilam, I will get something to eat for you,"Dea conceded as she opened both of her eyes fully. She reached over for the bag and worked on fixing the zipper. Once she had it fixed, she opened it and handed Eilam a sandwich.
"Thank you, Dea. Sorry I was so pushy, I was just hungry and you were sleeping like a rock,"Eilam apologized.
"It's alright, I can understand,"Dea smiled.

At first, Terpsichore thought that she was perhaps hearing things, what with the bubbling of the water over the river rocks being so apparent. When she regained possession of her hands from the water, however, she could have sworn she heard voices nearby. Scanning the scenery, she hoped she hadn't stumbled upon someone else's territory, pokémon or otherwise. Wiping her hands off on her shorts -- still a bit numb, but feeling better at least -- she stood up to determine if she could see more while at full height. It was still so strange, being over a full three feet taller than she used to be as a pokémon!
When it was obvious that that wouldn't help in a heavily shrouded area such as this, she took to exploring. It wasn't so bad: it was a nice day out, and the place was rather pretty! Different than the forest she had grown up in, that was for sure.
She came upon the poké-boy and his trainer rather suddenly, and she stumbled when they came into view. "Oh, um... hi there," Terpsichore said, a sheepish grin on her face as she wiggled her fingers in greeting. Blinking, she realized that the woman seemed a little drowsy, and hoped she hadn't woken either of them up, "Oh, sorry! I'm not interrupting anything, am I?" It was a bit different approaching people as another person than it was as a full-fledged shroomish, Terp was quickly realizing. She was going to have to get over this awkward phase!

Eilam had just taken a bite out of his sandwich, when a voice reached his hearing.
"Noph, yo rent interuphing anyphin,"Eilam replied with his mouth obviously full of food. A look of shock crossed Dea's face as she looked over to Eilam, as if she couldn't believe he had just done that.
"Ummm..Eli, how many times have you reminded me about not talking with food in my mouth? Here you are doing the same thing you are always accusing me of doing,"Dea gasped. A deep blush crossed Eilam's cheeks as she swallowed the food in his mouth.
"You are right, I guess I lost my mind in the hunger I was feeling. I should know better than that, sorry, Dea. Anyway, I meant to say that you weren't interrupting anything. My trainer just got up from a nap, thanks to me. I was hungry and the zipper on her bag got stuck,"Eilam explained.
"Yes, and he knew I could fix it, so he work me up,"Dea laughed.

Strangely enough, although speaking with one's mouth full tended to be something that Terpsichore avoided for the lack of etiquette it showed, the fact that Eilam was disregarding this thought actually made her feel more at ease. In fact, she tried to hold back a laugh because of it, a mixture of appreciation over the lax environment as well as a relaxation of tenseness. Well, that seemed to work with the awkwardness she felt!
However, the scolding that ensued prompted the shroomish-girl to quickly pipe up with a snicker, "Oh no, it's fine! I came by unannounced and everything, after all." After a moment to process the scene, she frowned in thought, "Are you a pokémon, too?" Obviously she was indicating Eilam, but she wasn't sure what pokémon he may have been if it was true. She hadn't exactly ever seen a legendary, let alone Arceus, before! She may have heard stories, but they never gave a consistent physical description. Of course, there may have been some other reason for the clumsiness when it came to unfastening a zipper, but it seemed like a logical conclusion!
"Oh! Before I forget to introduce, my name's Terpsichore," she chirped with a little eager bounce. She always did like meeting new people, even if these were the first she had met as an actual poké-human!

Dea and Eilam exchanged looks, a soft smile coming to both of their lips. Eilam laid his sandwich down on top of Dea's bag and brushed the crumbs off of his hands.
"Yes, I am a Pokemon as well, my name is Eilam. The nagging female beside me is my trainer, Deanna. She and I have known each other since she was a little girl. As for what Pokemon I am, I am an Arceus. I am sure you have heard stories about my kind,"Eilam answered. Dea gave him a look, still thinking about how he had called her nagging.
"I don't nag...that much...well,"Dea began muttering.
"It is okay, Dea, I meant it in the nicest way, I did not mean to hurt your feelings,"Eilam explained.
"I suppose I can forgive you,"Dea sighed, then smiled softly.

As Eilam confirmed that he was, indeed, a pokémon, Terpsichore's mind began motoring toward trying to figure out what type the child was. Perhaps a glalie? No... they didn't have tails like that, last she checked. An aron, or perhaps one of the aron's evolutionary line? He had the blue eyes for it, but there was also the blue markings on the crested armor... that didn't seem to fit much, either. She had just been playing with the idea that maybe he was a hybrid, like Alexis and Sasha, before he stated which pokémon he had evolved from.
She froze in place, mouth gaping in awed silence. Was he... was he serious!? Instead of being intimidated by such a revelation, like so many others might be tempted, she was quicker on the uptake, seeming to forget that she was practically speaking to a god. "Ohmygosh, for real? You're the Arceus!?" she exclaimed, all but dropping her backpack, "Sure have! Who hasn't heard of all your great endeavors! So, um... they all real? They're not just exaggerations? You helped create all the pokémon in the world?" She bit her tongue to stop herself, pausing for a moment before she added, "Sorry about that, it's just... wow." Luckily for her, she wasn't a cat, so this sort of curiosity wouldn't be life-endangering, right?
Terpsichore giggled at Dea's attempted counter, "Well, doesn't that just mean you care? You don't want anything bad to happen, so it's just a bit of caution!" In all truth, she thought it was a bit sweet, almost like Dea was more like Eilam's mother instead of his trainer. It was a bit of a contrast to her own 'trainer,' who tended to be, well... a bit of a workaholic. "Do you mind if I sit down with you guys?" she asked after a moment. These two were quite the interesting pair!

"Yes, I really am an Arceus, though there is more than one of my kind. Yes, I I did help make the world we live in and it is alright, I won't hurt you for being curious....much,"Eilam smiled and Dea shot him an eye roll at the last of that.
"Why is it that everyone seems to either be in awe of you and flood you with questions or they nearly pass out?"Dea asked teasingly.
"You have known me since you were a baby, Dea, you do not quite understand how awesome I am,"Eilam pointed out with a twinkle in his eyes.
"Says the boy that couldn't open a simple bag to get a snack, totally impresses,"Dea countered with a laugh, which Eilam joined in on.
"Of course you may sit with us, just decide which patch of grass you want to rest on. I hope mine and Dea's weirdness has made you uncomfortable,"Eilam smiled.

"More than one? Really? There is?" Terpsichore asked, though it was more of a way to drill it into her own head than anything else. After all, there was no reason to really question one who knew such notions as facts. This was quite interesting indeed! Did that mean it was sort of like a council of arceus demigods who determined how the world should be or something? Or... really, did this kid have any of that power, or was it all just legend blown out of proportion? She was beginning to doubt that anybody would believe her if she said she ran into the god of all pokémon on her way home, and the kid's name was Eilam. She giggled inwardly at the thought; who would have known that the gods would traverse the same paths as the pokémon they helped create? It was actually quite comforting to know this!
Terpsichore flushed at the nudging comment Dea made, and realized that she was being quite silly. "Haha, I'm sorry about that! It's just... it's just that, I suppose, most pokémon and Gaians don't really consider that... even gods, demigods, pseudo-gods... they can be just like them, in some cases," she tried to explain, but felt it was an inadequate response. She scratched the side of her head, trying to think of how to elaborate, "They don't expect to ever run into someone of such, um... power. Oh, that was a horrible word to use... but you see where I'm getting at?" She laughed, finding it silly how badly she was explaining. She hoped that, at the very least, the jist of it had gotten across!
A smirk crossed Terpsichore's face at that point, taking note of the teasing smug attitude that Eilam offered to his trainer. "Well well, so even you have a funny bone," she snickered, taking a seat as it was offered. She pulled her arms out of the backpack's straps and let the bag tumble behind her, arms now folded in front of her and leaning against the knees of her crossed legs. "No, it's quite alright!" she reassured, "This sort of interaction makes things seem a lot more carefree in nature. It's rather friendly, if a bit silly!" They really were very nice people, and it made the prodding curiosity that she was currently exhibiting much less of a hazard!

Eilam could see all of the questions in Tersichore's face and he smiled softly. He was always glad to answer questions, he really wished more people knew he was pretty much like them.
"There is at least one other of my kind that I know of, though I do not know whatever happened to him or her. Do not worry about how you were overwhelmed when you learned what I am, as Dea said, we actually get that a lot. I really am just like everyone else and I do not mind answering questions. Trust me, if I wasn't like all of you, I would not live such a normal life. I want peace in this world and I do everything I can to inspire peace and teamwork together with my partner and her family. As for a funny bone, yes, I love teasing my friends and family, even my trainer,"Eilam laughed.
"Yeah, Eli is really a sweet Pokemon and no matter what, he is always special to me,"Dea smiled softly, ruffling his hair.
"Hey, don't mess with my hair!"Eilam pouted playfully.

Terpsichore nodded, quickly remembering after a bit of a falter that those pokémon dubbed as 'legendary' by the normal populace tended to be considered 'genderless.' She almost had slipped and said how strange that sounded, to call the other arceus by an unknown gender-identifier before remembering this. How strange it must be... but then, what was abnormal for her wasn't so strange for others -- rather, it was probably Terpsichore who could be considered strange. This seemed to amuse her; they were both just as curious as the other, weren't they?
She shrugged, though, "It can be hard to keep track of just one individual. Heck, I have a hard enough time keeping up with the people I live with, so it must be harder when you aren't always in contact. Heh, does that make you something like pen pals?" The idea was an intriguing one, and it had always been to her since she found out about the hobby. She grinned, "So you've already talked with a number of others, have you? Good, good! Maybe they'll learn not to be so intimidated, in that case!" Sure, she was assuming some things, but it sounded about right.
"Well, that makes you sound almost normal!" she taunted, but it was all in fun as she pointedly stuck her tongue out in a playful manner. Thinking about all the questions she's asked, and the fact that Eilam was not quite so different than any other pokémon-turned-human, she considered taking it a step further and get them standing on common ground, "So, I've asked you a ton of questions and you've been very nice about answering them all. Thank you! You also have permission to ask me anything as well, if you feel the need! Unless you have all-seeing powers... not sure about that." Terp giggled, especially when Dea started tousling the other child's hair, "Aww." She could get in on the teasing a bit, too, but she did honestly feel that it was rather sweet for Deanna to have been so motherly. All Terp had gotten with her transformation was a trainer that didn't know whether he should be treating her as an estranged daughter or like he's always treated her... like an odd specimen of a pokémon.

Eilam thought for a moment about Terpsichore's question for a moment, trying to think of the best answer for it.
"Well, we used to keep in touch, but I haven't spoken to the other Arceus in quite sometime. Yes, we have met some others, a pair of girls when I was still an Arceus and some other females since I was changed. I would hope at least they could see I was not someone to be feared, but I am not sure. Me, normal, I do not know what you are talking about, "Eilam snickered.
"Yes, Eilam is very normal, don't let his ego tell you otherwise,"Dea laughed.
"Aww, Dea, you are just embarrassing me even more now,"Eilam whined in a teasing manner.
"I know, but you know it is because I care,"Dea smiled.
"I know. As for questions, I wouldn't mind asking, since I do not know everything. What were you before the change and why are you out here?"Eilam spoke.

"Aww, well I hope you can talk with the other arceus again soon, in that case!" Terpsichore replied. Must be a bit irritating, if not worrisome, to not be able to find out if a friend was doing alright. Granted, again she was assuming, but being a bit of a social butterfly only made the girl think the best intentions out of someone. She giggled when Eilam noted who all he had met, "All girls, huh? Well well well, if you're not careful, Dea, he's gonna turn into a little heart breaker!" She could blame her mature speech patterns on her research into becoming an actress, but she had been using terms so fluidly for so long that they came natural. So, however much she had been trying to sound more regal, she only made herself sound more like an older woman who could pass as an aunt, if it weren't for the child's body she drove.
She shot a scrutinizing expression, calling Eilam's bluff immediately, "Heeeey, didn't you just say you wished everyone could see you as just another normal pokémon? I see what you did there!" She wagged a finger as though in reprimand, but the grin that appeared made the motion hardly effective.
Terpsichore nodded, ready for the questions. It made to solidify the notion that Eilam was not all-powerful, and that he was no different than any other pokémon, save for a few unique abilities and, well, being more powerful than normal. Then again, did being in a more humanoid state take any of those capabilities away? Hmm... it was a curious thought, but not one she was willing to voice; it might be seen as revealing too much weakness, even though Terpsichore wouldn't have done anything bad with the information, or so she'd like to believe. "Ah! Right, I suppose it's hard to tell what I am, isn't it?" she glanced down, pulling at a mushroom frill at her wrist, "I'm a shroomish! Not very grandiose or anything when it comes down to it, but hey, I'm not a normal shroomish, either!" She rocked back, still seated, "Why, coming out here for the sight and relaxation isn't enough? Hee hee, naw. Actually, my trainer is a pokémon researcher. We travel all over, and our campsite isn't too far from here. Over in the plains just outside this patch of trees, actually!" She pointed in the direction, even though it wasn't currently visible, "We were packing up to move to a different site, but other than Nix -- that's my trainer -- I was kind of the only one up to helping. My hands got sore, and I remembered the river through here, so I used it to cool 'em off, make them stop hurting!" Terpsichore held her hands out, palms up, as though for proof. However, it was a little hard to see soreness, and although they were a little roughed up, didn't look much worse for wear.

Eilam nodded softly, hoping he would hear from the other Arceus again soon. He was worried something bad may have happened to the other, but he tried to keep such dark thoughts from his mind. At Terpsichore's words, he blushed profusely and looked to Dea for help.
"Don't look at me for help, old friend, I don't know what to say to save your behind. You may have some girls wanting to be more than friends with you down the road,"Dea replied.
"I don't see why, I am just a kid and even if I was't, people are too nervous around me. I don't think so, Dea, it just happened that we met girls, that's all. Yes, I did say I wanted to be normal, you are correct. Ah, a Shroomish, I suppose I should have known, but it was a little hard to tell. It is nice your trainer is a researcher, always good to learn more about this world. Dea is a Pokemon linguist and normal do-gooder"Eilam smiled.
"What can I say, I like helping others,"Dea replied with a smile.

Terpsichore momentarily felt a bit badly about embarrassing Eilam so fully like she had, but she was much too amused to bail him out. She could, however, keep from rubbing it in; Dea was doing a pretty good job of it, and she didn't want the boy to feel like he was being ganged up on with the teasing. So, snickers aside, she offered, "Well... suppose I could get you to meet Endymion, another pokémon-human that lives with my trainer, but he isn't very social. Still, you could at least then say you've not only conversed with girls?" She giggled at the thought, fully aware that it was a plan set for failure. At least it could possibly lessen the tension, but it led to another realization. While she had to think about it, she noticed that she was just about in the same boat, "Y'know... the only other pokémon I've run into lately have all been girls, too. I mean, other than you and Endymion, they all were. Weird..." The statistics for poké-humans when it came to girls and boys weren't that skewed, were they?
Shrugging, she continued to try to reassure the arceus-boy, "At least you're still a kid. You don't really even have to worry about that sort of thing until you grow a bit bigger! Heck, I don't think about it at all..." Tilting her head, she realized that was slightly inaccurate, "I... suppose unless I'm teasing someone about it, I don't, that is!" Thinking it over, she added, "Well... maybe if you don't go around announcing what you are unless someone asks? Don't they only get intimidated if they know who you are? Though... that's asking a lot, huh? Hrm..."
Giggling, she batted at the air in front of her in dismissal, "No, it's alright, it is hard to tell. I'm not a round little armless mushroom-pokémon anymore. This is, for lack of a better phrase, a big difference." She glanced down once more; it may have been very different, but she was still very pleased with it! Glancing back up, she nodded before she found herself frowning, "Lah... linguist? What's that?" While Terpsichore was normally quite efficient when it came to fancy wording, titles still had a habit of eluding her -- she hardly knew the difference between a researcher and a scientist as it was, and she only lived with one!
