It had been a little while since their return and while the voices hadn't quite faded yet Mitsu felt she had waited long enough. She wanted to issue a proper apology to Invictus for having attacked him during the fight that had broken out after their stay on the Isles. She still wasn't quite sure what had come over her but the feelings of rage and anger were no excuse. The lycan had actually started a path toward the washroom where she had known the horseman to reside but paused as she realized Invictus probably wouldn't be there. It made much more sense that he would be by the reserve with the remaining horseman and so she changed her course making her way there. As she drew closer her nerves started to get the best of her, shaking her as she fidgeted with her dress. Would an apology do any good? What if he was really angry about what happened and her attempt to apologize only made him more so? Mitsu supposed if he was really angry she would probably be eating dirt, it was hard to forget the gravity field he could control. Just when she was about to turn tail and run having worked herself up into a state of doubt and fear, Mitsu stopped and took a deep breath. She couldn't turn back, she needed to see this through. Invictus deserved an apology at the very least. Plus, Shun had given her a message to pass along too. Maybe she should have made spookies to bring?

These were his people. These were his people. All of them. Certainly it was strange to be overlooking a clan that was of four cultures rather than one culture that was built up around just that, culture, but with the other three Protectors by his side - and as constant companions, he was adjusting to it easily enough. Yet Invictus could have been described as paranoidly diligent.
He was nearly always able to be found walking around the reserve. In fact, those approaching would have found the Protector-from-Conquest to be their first greeter, despite his calm expression giving very little information to what he was thinking. Always calm, arms folded behind his back as he moved.
That made it easy enough for the once-heir to be the one found on the approach of the lycan, his attention turning to her cooly as she came into view. Fortunately, he was at least in a state to not be summoning a weapon as Mitsu came closer, instead standing and seeming to wait and see what she would do.
After all, in a sense the students of Amityville were also his 'people'. He would not turn them away at an immediate whim.

As she drew closer to the reserve Mitsu slowed her pace, approaching with caution unsure what she would find. As luck would have it Invictus was one of the first to be seen as she drew near. The Conquest appeared to be manning his post in a way, walking calmly by the entrance. When he only seemed to regard her and not look at her like a threat Mitsu continued her trek forward stopping a few paces from Invictus. He seemed so different now, certainly stronger...was he even taller? Mitsu wasn't certain everyone looked tall to her. " Umm...Invictus? Sir?" She added hestily trying to be respectful. He had more responsibility now and he was certainly her senior in many aspects so Sir would work wouldn't it? " I..I hope I'm not bothering you by coming. I was hoping I could talk to you for a moment." She said softly, her eyes looking suddenly unsure, the faint sound of whispering coming from somewhere behind her. Mitsu didn't turn her head but her ears swiveled in the direction she thought she heard the noise.

It seemed that the wolf girl's business was with him of all people as well, which meant that his happenstance of being there was not quite as much of a coincidence as it could have been.
"It does not bother us to see familiar faces coming around the reserve. Many of the students from Amityville have found themselves with some curiosities in regard to the welfare of the clan." He wondered if he was intimidating her somehow with the way her voice got softer and she seemed to half-shy away from his presence. Then again, he had established that he was powerful in many ways, and power alone could intimidate.
"What is it you need from us?" he pressed, not impatiently, but enough to let her know that yes, it was alright to speak.

The use of 'us' didn't escape her. It was familiar and she was certain she had heard someone else use it previously. She didn't bring attention to it though but instead tried to focus on her reason for coming. At least it was comforting to know he didn't mind her presence. " I...I actually came to apologize....for attacking you," She hesitated a moment, her ears perking as she glanced to the side thinking she would see someone there but there was no one. When her unease settled a little she continued. " I'm not sure what came over me but it was wrong of me to harm you." In a gesture she had come accustomed to she pressed her hands against her thighs and bowed forward. " I am truly sorry."

As far as he understood it, Mitsu was Shun's if he recalled correctly. He had not met the ghoul proper, but he did harbor respect for the reaper, which was extended out further onto this rather new meeting. Though it seemed that the werewolf was apologizing to him for previous actions.
"We understand how that feeling may be, as it has come over us before as well." and to that end, had never truly left either. Folding his arms behind his back, the protector bowed back to Mitsu in turn, though not quite as low as she had. "We accept your apology and apologize for returning the attack, as well as the first strike that we made while at the Haunted House previously when we were not under attack. As it stands, we are not entirely undeserving of an attack or two of our own." he admitted.
But at least clearing the air of such things was a good start.

Mitsu managed to look up as Invictus bowed in return. It was a relief to know that he accepted her apology and though it was unexpected that he offered his own it was appreciated all the same. If anything it helped clear the air and made everything start a new. For that Mitsu was grateful. " Thank you, I accept your apology in return." She smiled a little despite her lingering unease. It had nothing to do with the situation just the whispers she kept hearing since their return. " I am also sorry for your current situation. Since I was coming today Shun wanted me to let you know he will do what he can to help you and I will do the same. If there is anything you need please let me know."

It seemed at least a certain amount of the air was settled, then. He would have hated to seem ungrateful for such an opportunity to apologize for such hasty action on his part, after all. Eris's company had a way of lending to acting hastily.
"It is good to know that we have allies still within the school walls while we Protectors will not be lingering there as Heirs as much as we used to - in fact, we are not sure how common place our presence will be after this time. However, if there is any time in which our own assistance could be used, do not hesitate to ask."

For the first time in Invictus' presence she managed to give the now Protector a warm smile. " It's very much appreciated. I will try to check in from time to time to see if there is anything you need if its not a bother. I know there is a lot going on for now so I don't want to be in the way. It's hard," She nodded toward the reserve, her expression saddened. " I...don't know what its like to experience what you have gone through on a whole but I know what its like to lose family." At least in that respect she was familiar. The loss was very real and she had no idea what friends and family Invictus might have had but she was certain he had experienced loss in some way or another. Whether it was someone close or just the loss of his home it was all rather devastating.

He nodded slowly. "Those who remain have taken it well enough to work towards moving on for the good of the whole. We all mourn, but we believe that we will all recover from the tragedy over time." Then again, there had been no time to mourn. There had been the candles and the entire thing with the pyre, but a lot of their time had been put into rebuilding and managing the INSANITY that had infested some of their people.
They couldn't have it getting worse, after all.
"That kind of visitation would not be a bother at all. In fact, given how little information we can get about the world out here, it would be rather nice." He wasn't sure if he could just...subscribe the reserve to a newspaper or something.

Mitsu nodded. " It will take time but you have a lot to focus on." Keeping the mind occupied always helped but sometimes it also distracted from the needed mourning. " And I hope you are doing well. You have a lot more to do from what I have heard." The smile slowly returned though when it seemed she was welcome to come back. She would have to be sure to bring them news and updates about what was going on. " I hope I can meet some of the others sometime. I will do my best to keep you updated on what's going on in Amityville and elsewhere if I can."

"It is the burden of being a leader. However, we have been preparing for it our whole life, so that is to be expected by this point." Invictus said. It seemed he was adjusting to it more easily than others may have. He'd been expecting it for centuries, after all. Just not in the way he had received it.
"When things calm down more, I am sure those from the reserve and those of the school will walk back and forth between each other to meet and talk and exchange information. The sooner we rebuild, the sooner such things can happen." Of this, he was quite sure. The mingling he had done amongst the clans had told him they were social creatures, even when scavenging for supplies - especially those of famine.
They'd adapt quickly.

" I hope so, I'm sure there will be a lot to share between us." Mitsu just hoped there weren't too many students still leery about what they saw on Death Isle. There really wasn't much reason to fret about it, especially not now. " But it was good to see you and see that you are adjusting," Mitsu's head shifted to look behind her for a moment when she heard a faint whisper from that direction but as had been common since her return no one was there. The faint sounds persisted for a moment before they died down, the lycan looking suddenly leery herself. " I...I would hate to keep you though. Maybe when I come again we can have tea?" Mitsu liked tea, tea was soothing and helped calm her nerves. Nerves which were currently shot at the moment.

"Yes, we think tea would be easily agreeable." Not surprisingly, Invictus also liked tea. Albeit, he did not drink it often as his meal plans often were to not do so at all. But drinks he was more ready to make an exception for.
Invictus's eyes seemed to flicker in the direction that Mitsu was looking, his brows raising just a bit, before he looked back to her with almost a faint sense of knowing. He knew even if he told her nothing was there, the nerves would still tell her it was.
"However, I will need to continue my rounds soon."

" O..Oh, yes. D-don't let me keep you," Mitsu bowed again slightly. " I will come again to visit. Please take care, Invictus and thank you for accepting my apology." Mitsu waited a moment longer for Invictus to offer whatever farewell he might have before she turned and began to head back toward school. She would have to let Shun know what they had talked about, though they hadn't conversed much it was more than they had before.
