Sunning Rocks was originally Thunderclan territory, but was won in a battle by Riverclan. They now control both sides, up to the trees on thunderclan side
The trees mark the border between the two clans. There is a plentiful source of fish in the river, and stepping stones to get from one side to the other. On
rainy days, the stepping stones tend to sink beneath the rising waters and it can become much more hazardous to cross.

Ashfall looked around as he padded onto the sand of the river. His long tail
twitched behind him. He didn't see or scent any intruders, nor was the rivers
bank disturbed by cats trying to hide from sight. He shook himself and then
padded toward the river, putting his paws in first and almost shivering at the
chill. Leaf-bare sucked. With a deep breath, he picked his way over the
stepping stones, mindful of how slippery they were. Once on the otherside,
he sniffed the air "Leopardspots, check the trees to the right over there, Ill
mark these."
Ashfall padded forward toward the thunderclan trees. He could scent where
the border stopped just before them, and re-marked it, wary of any other
clan patrols.

Hollowcrest noted that he wasn't given any orders, but he supposed that he
would look around and see what had gone on in the border recently. He
jumped over the sunning rocks and nearly lost his footing a few times, but the
larger tom didn't seem to seem to putt off that he couldn't balance well on the
slippery rocks. He went the opposite direction of Ashfall and marked their
territory that they had won from Thunderclan, though he was careful not to
step over the border, and made sure that he kept his ears and eyes open for
any signs of cats coming towards the area. .¸.·´¯`·.¸¸☠¸¸.·´¯`·.¸.

Riverclan WarriorxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxApprentice: N/A Leopardspots followed Ashfall closely behind and when the deputy told him to check the trees and nodded. Padded over there he took a look around before he marked the trees he was at. He tasted the air once more and scented mouse. He looked at the Thunderclan side and spotted the little creature scuffling around the roots in search of seeds. He turned around knowing it was against the rules to hunt in another territory but his stomach growled still..

Once his secton of border was remarked, Ashfall took a moment to look into
the forests of thunderclan. They seemed empty, deserted, even. The border
had not been checked and the smells were turning stale. His eyes shifted to
Leopardspots for a moment, then to Hollowcrest. "Do either of you feel like
hunting?"

Hollowcrest looked over at Leopardspots and Ashfall as the deputy asked
them if they felt like hunting. Sure, he wanted to get more food for the clan,
but if Ashfall was suggesting that they hunt on Thunderclan territory... well,
he wasn't as game for that. It might cause another scuffle and Hollowcrest
thought that he didn't particularly need another set of scars.
"And where would we be hunting?" Hollowcrest asked, walking over to the pair. .¸.·´¯`·.¸¸☠¸¸.·´¯`·.¸.

Riverclan WarriorxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxApprentice: N/A Leopardspots was looking at Ashfall as he nodded a little in agreement to the tom next to him. Where would they be hunting? He was hoping not on Thunderclan side because he wasn't in the mood to fight anyone. He was basically asleep on his paws. He waited for Ashfall to answer Hollowcrest's question before he started to hunt.

Thunderclan Stonefrost OCC: Welcome Apprentice:Dustpaw The muscular grey tom trudged along the border. He could smell riverclan was nearby. "Riverclan patrol nearby" he warned his clanmates. He hoped they weren't going to start trouble, he wasn't up for any. His strong muscels showed right through his pelt. With each of his steps the muscels rippled. His amber gaze glanced over to the riverclan side of the border to see if he could catch any signs of the riverclan cats he was scenting at the moment. "Dustpaw, why don't you tell me what else you can scent?" he urged his apprentice testing out to see if he was paying attention.

Serenitystep followed the tom, she looked, not nervous, but concerned. As she followed him, each paw step brought her closer to the RiverClan scent. Her fur slightly bristled, then layed flat, remembering not to worry about it. Her forest green eyes were emotionless and blank, she stood next to the gray male; Stonefrost. Serenitystep drew in a breath, almost able to put scent with a name as she sniffed. She glanced at Stonefrost. "let's be cautious" she mewed.

Dustpaw was romping around despite the low spoken warning Serenitystep had whispered. He wasn't paying much attention and his wide eyes were distracted by the other things that were moving around them. It wasn't until his mentor asked him what he could scent that caught the young tom's attention. "I scent....birds," he said with a slight growl. Lowering down he bolted after the song birds and pounced snatching one before it could escape into the air. Prancing back the cat's tail swayed back and fourth. He carried his kill with pride then dropped it down to finish his response to Stonefrost, "Oh...I can smell some of the Riverclan cats too, but...I don't see them as much of a threat. We can handle anything," he sneered before picking his bird up again.

ThunderclanStonefrost OCC: Welcome Apprentice:Dustpaw He gave a node to Serenitystep agreeing with her. He looked at Dustpaw who seemed to be ignoring both. He watched when he went to hunt a bird and carried it over proudly. He listened to Dustpaw's comment and shook his head in disapointment "Never underestimate your enemy, but never overestimate them either." he told him calmly "Go ahead and bury that. You can pick it up on our way back" he told his apprentice and turned around and began padding foreward again. He walked into the brushes and waved his tail for the patrol to halt. Through the brush he could see three riverclan cats.

Serenitystep looked disappear at the Apprentice, her eyes seemed cold ad harsh, finding him disrespectful. Then she heard Stoefrost speak, then put in her own 'word of advice' speaking regular, but in a warning way. "don't get too cocky, next thing you know you'll be slumped over dead" she said, blinking. "and this is a border patrol, not hunting, you remember that and don't do what you just did again" she said, shaking her head,going to crouch next o Stonefrost. Setenitystep's brown ears twitched.

Hollowcrest's fur bristled as he scented Thunderclan nearby. Noting that his
question wasn't answered, he looked over the border and narrowed his eyes
as he managed to make out a few cats. He could also hear their voices, but
as long as they were on their own side he would tolerate their presence.
"We've got company..." he said and wandered casually to the border near
the other cats before he marked their side and licked his maw as his green
eyes observed just what the other cats were doing; suspicious. .¸.·´¯`·.¸¸☠¸¸.·´¯`·.¸.

ThunderclanStonefrost OCC: Welcome Apprentice:Dustpaw Noteing that Riverclan was on their side of the border he led the way out of the bushes. He recognize Ashfall the Riverclan deputy and the Warrior Leapordspots from gatherings. "Greetings" he meowed politely. Since they hadn't set foot over the border there was no reason to be aggresive. Although he could easily see that the one cat he didn't recognize, the one who had come over and marked the border near them was weary of them and his fur was bristling. He ignored the cat and looked past to his clanmates.

Dustpaw looked at Serenitystep and spoke back, "I'm sorry, but you're not my mentor Serenitystep. If I get cocky and die...then so be it, and when you have the opportunity to feed the clan I think you should take it, Serenitystep," he retorted. He buried his kill in a spot where he wouldn't forget it then proceeded the patrol. Dustpaw gave him a friendly nod and even went as far to say, "How's the weather over there?" he laughed before climbing into the tree to get a better look at their surroundings.
