Lin had been exhausted.. There was no way. No way she chould have kept track of them all. It was like herding sheep, and with so many cubs, she couldn't run as fast as she used to, and even that was slow due to her lack of being able to hold a stead 35 miles an hour.. "Head count.." She learned to do that, and when she was teaching them about flowers, she noticed.. One.. Two.."Oh no.." Looking around. frantically. "Xiao~" She called. "Yinying!" Then she herded the cubs she did have with her back home. Shoving them all in to their cave home when she realized.. Not just two.. but THREE cubs were gone! "ERYU!" She called, then turned to the rest of them. Questioning them.. but none of her children knew.. Except Hua, being close to a mute she didn't speak but watched as her mother went around frantically looking in the boarders of their home..

Yue's ears perked as he heard his mates voice. Now what? He asked himself as he picked up his latest kill. What has she gotten herself into now? He picked it up by the neck, and started to drag the kill back to his new family. Something he never thought he'd be capable of. He honestly never imagined settling down, let alone having cubs. He finally made his way back to the small makeshift den they made for when the cubs arrived. "Lin, I'm home." He said as he dropped the animal by the edge and looked around for his family.

She was frantic, and by frantic, like when she wasn't high. A hyper lin, but worse. She counted, and recounted, When she finally heard her mate's voice, she whiplahsed and ran right in to him. Grabbing at his face and feeling up on it with her pads. "Their gone. The twins.. The TWINS! And And ERYU!" Huffing. "I counted, re counted~ and I don't know where theyareilookedeverywhereandIcantfindthemANYWHERE!" Her speech running a thousand miles per hour while the cubs laid in wait. of what was the punishment. Most if all already got the hint that their mother wasn't always all there.. but this was serious business.. and their brainless mother started to.. cry and speak jibberish in her attempts..

His eyes widened as she pawed at his face. What was wrong with her? She never did this before. "Lin?" His eyes widened as his mouth dropped. "You WHAT!?!" He yelled as he became furious. He looked over to the cubs and counted them. She was right. There were three missing. "How could you loose them?" He asked after a long pause. His voice shook with rage. He tried to calm himself, but he was close to loosing it. "I left you to take care of them for 5 MINUTES!" He yelled, digging his claws into the ground.

"I- I - I was teachiong them, field trip and then I counted and all was good and then now I count before coming back and gone! Three! Xiao, Yingyang, and Eryu! Three Three! I looked everywhere Yue, too many- I .. counted..." When she was yelled at, it didn't even quite sink in, she was still overly shocked at the fact two were missing. Hoping maybe they would find their way- Yue told them not to run too far away! She knew it to be so! "See~ see~" Turning his head for him to the cubs again. "I didn't mean to~ I counted!"

Hua simply watched.. Where they screamed at one another.. she merely watched.. blankly.. almost zoning out their voices..

He shook as he listened to her, seething with anger. He still couldn't believe she lost them. Was he supposed to do everything??? There was no way he could keep track of 9 cubs, go hunting, AND keep track of her. His attention quickly went to the remaining cubs, glaring at them quickly before taking a good look at them. She was right... His look softened as he looked at his cubs. They were a lot to handle. Especially at this age. He walked over to them and placed his paw on his dark daughter. "Come on Lin." He said as he turned and looked back to her. "They couldn't have gone far."

When she moved, she knew her father would see her.. She looked a lot like him, with the except of mother's green circles instead of his blue ones. When he put his paw upon her, she came back to reality, but her facial expression didn't change.. Merely blank as she looked up at him with thoughs soft eyes and nuzzled under his pad.


The poor deae was still in shock.. "The trees must have hid them, the trees will take care of them if they go to far.. I told them.. " The melting of what was to become of her soon.. "I shall look~ I shall.." And she whisped away to try and find them where the group was prior to that..

He rolled his eyes at her comment about the trees. He couldn't understand what this fascination of hers was with the trees. But he let her live her fantasy. He nodded as she retraced her steps. He sat close to his cubs and and watched them as she looked for their missing cubs. He didn't want to risk losing any more of his children.

She retraced, and retraced.. and sniffed, and smelled. She wasn't a hunter- really. She was pretty worthless of a soul excwept her extensive knowledge of herb lore. She was smart and dumb at the same time.. Days later.. She got to the point where she stopped eating and kept searching and searching..
