- The Taizai are a group of seven spirutually aware beings that have been around for thousands of years but have been hidden from the Soul Society until now.
There are currently seven Taizai, each being the Embodiment of the Seven Deadly Sins: Envy, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Pride, Sloth, Wrath.
Bōkuto refers to the Taizai's release state.
➟ Origin
- The Taizai have been around for thousands of years, roaming around the World of the Living, mostly under the radar, getting innocent humans trapped in between their own sinister games.
They currently live in Taihei, their home world, home to the sins and their own personal arsenal of weapons and creatures like hollow slaves and such (mostly Menos).
Taizai form from Pluses and those that have committed mortal sins, to the grave extent of being worthy of one of the seven deadly sins, and is given the opportunity to become a Taizai. Those that have failed to become Taizai have become a Reiryoku pool almost for them, and it is how they've been able to accumulate so much power.
➟ Basic Powers
- All have high speed regeneration. However this ability takes a toll on their body and temporarly lowering the Reiryoku amount in their bodies.
Their abilities come from their aspect of sin. This allows for uniqueness between each sin and having powers that reflect their own aspect of sin.
Each has the ability to make their own abilities unique to themselves. This means that their weapon's appearance can be whatever they desire (katana, bow, staff, etc).
They can condense nearby reiatsu and their own reiatsu to create Kidō-like attacks and bindings as a form of combat. Thus allowing for similar like attacks like Sōkatsui, Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō, Kin, etc.
They can slip between dimension to dimension as their form of Sonído and Shunpo, making attacking harder compared to other opponents. However the speed of this dimensional slip is a tad bit slow, making it at least possible to hit an opponent with some success.
➟ Sinner Powers
- Envy - Has the ability to mimic a Zanpakutō's powers to some extent, but the copied powers aren't perfect.
Gluttony - Eats just about anything it desires from Kidō based attacks and spits them back at the caster.
Greed - Tends to want everything out there, so, he has incredible tenacity when he wants something and gains incredible durability.
Lust - Can tempt one to do their bidding through a form of mind control that is limited to one person.
Pride - Tends to be quite fast on his feet and, because of his speed, he can land blows at a faster rate of speed than what others can react to.
Sloth - Incredibly lazy but is brutally powerful for short bursts of time.
Wrath - Has heightened strength, and same goes for his senses, determining on how high his anger is.
