Rolled a four: Water field: Five large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool. Four form a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it is mainly built for water-types. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to WATER type attacks.

Alexa walked into the stadium with Masked Socks beside her. The Eevee was super happy to be out and up for a battle. Alexa shook her head as Socks rushed off to look at the field. She moved to her trainer box and smiled to herself. She was so glad to have run into her friend at town. She somehow talked Karin into having a battle with her. Though it did seem that she was shocked to see her and wasn't too eager to battle. "Alright Masked Socks. Let's do our best."
Masked Socks looked slightly horrified at the field. So far she hasn't had much luck in getting good fields. First that canyon field and now this... this swimming pool! She would have to watch her step as she moved about. It's not like she was a Vaporeon and could swim.

It had been a while since Genesis had come to the Stadium. She had been busy with her missions, but travel had brought her close and she was eager to test her Pokémon's strength against others equally determined. Luckily for her, she didn't need to wait for an opponent this time around. She had met an old companion in town, one whom she had fought multiple times before, and was eager to see how far both of them had come since they had last met.
"Hey!" she called cheerfully, seeing the red-haired trainer already in her side of the trainer box. "Let's give it our best shot!"
Without another word, she released Leto onto the field. Already used to stadiums by this point, the Rattata traveled easily to one of the floating platforms and cried out earnestly for battle.

"Hey Karin! So nice to see you again! Where have you been? I haven't seen you in ages." Alexa called out with a wave. She watched as Masked Socks hopped onto a floating platform and wobbled for a second."Alright start off with Echoed Voice!"
Masked Socks wobbled a bit on the floating platform and eyed the Rattata. "Vvvveeeeee" She called out acknowledging her trainer. She then took a deep breath and let out a loud echoing 'Eeeeevvvvvveeeeee'.

"Traveling," Genesis supplied with a wave of her own, her response vague. She was glad to see her opponent's Eevee soon after she had spoken, for it cut short their conversation, and would keep Alexa away from suspicion. As it was now, however, she had no reason to worry -- and, indeed, she wouldn't be in the first place, were Alexa not the sister to her partner in crime. Ah, but it wouldn't do to have her focus on other matters.
"Leto, keep her down with a string of Rock Smash!"
Leto laid her ears flat against the attack, her head turned away from the piecing noise. Other than that, she made no move. The thing about voice-based attacks, she had come to learn, was that they were often short-lived. Few possessed the ability to continuously cry out, and the Eevee was not one of them. As expected, the attack inevitably died out, and it was then that Leto struck.

Alexa nodded and would have to wait until later to talk to Karin. For now it was time to focus on the battle. "Socks! Growl!" She called. It looked like that Rock Smash didn't do any damage which meant hat Socks' defense was done. To counter that they would need their opponent's attack down.
Masked Socks dodged the Rock Smash barely but it was enough to get her to lower her defense.... as she was at the edge of the platform and needed to worry about that more. Moving away from the edge she growled cutely at Leto.

Leto hissed in return to the Eevee's growl and quickly followed it up with another Rock Smash. The platform beneath took some brunt of her attack, and an audible crack could be heard. However, there was no danger yet of it sinking on them now, and she focused on keeping up her barrage of attacks.

Socks dodged again but once more was close to the edge. Quickly moving she jumped to another platform to put some distance between them. She then turned to face Leto. Hearing Alexa cheer for her began to rouse her spirit. "Veee veee eeeevvvvveeeeee." She cried out also working herself up.
"Come on Socks! You can do it! Don't let them psych you out!" Alexa cheered. She grinned when she saw Socks use Work-up.

Leto leapt nimbly onto the adjacent platform in pursuit, her tail lashing with the excitement of the battle. Her path left a trail of indented cracks along the surface of the platform, and she continued to strike at the Eevee with blows powerful enough to break stone.

Socks moved away from Leto and slipped on a crack that had been made. She quickly turned, looked at the rat pokemon, and growled cutely. Then she was off jumping towards another platform that formed the diamond around the center one.

If the battle kept going on the way it did, Leto knew she would be at a serious disadvantage. Hoping to slow its process, she suddenly halted and summoned a raging Blizzard in an attempt to penetrate through the Eevee's thick fur and stop it in its tracks.

Socks was moving again this time moving to jump to another platform. However she was hit with the blizzard before she even made it near the edge. She was frozen solid and completely pissed.
"Oh no." Alexa moaned seeing her pokemon frozen. Hopefully it will only last a few turns.

Leto chittered excitedly at the attack's success. She was so excited that she took the time to get worked up, rather than actually attack, and she ignored the cries of a flustered Karin.
Still, Genesis knew Leto enjoyed winning more than anything, and her cries were just part of the disguise. The Rattata may be stupid at times, but she trusted Leto to know what she was doing... hopefully.

Socks was still frozen and seething in her frozen prison.
Alexa was glad that Leto didn't attack but also upset that instead she bumped up her attack. Socks had worked so hard to lower the Rattata's attack to even out the lowered defense.
