Walpurgis walked into the arena, head low. He had lost the last battle, badly, and although he wished it didn't bother him, it did. How was he supposed to justify the help he had received if he couldn't even do that much? His opponent this time had dominated in her last battle - his battle was over so quickly he had time to observe the others. What's more, she had a legendary pokemon. It certainly didn't look good. Gangrel would be up for anything, he knew - the rattata was angry from his loss to Tenka, and Walpurgis knew he'd want to redeem himself.
There was no point in over thinking things, though. His opponent might use the pokemon she had used before, or something else. There was no use in trying to figure things out right now, and Walpurgis knew that.
He knew that, but it sure didn't make it easier.

Even though Lizzie had soundly won the last match, she was still nervous about this one. It could be said that she only defeated the other trainer because of luck, and if her luck wouldn't hold up for this match then she hoped that at least her skills and her Pokemon's strength would pull them both through.
"Good luck to you." She said to the other trainer. He looked even more nervous than she was, although she still was going to go all out.

When she said that she would go all out, she really meant it. Lizzie took her Pokeball and released the Lugia inside, his size dwarfing the battlefield once more.  (1000/1000) Psywater looked more confident in this battle, probably still giddy about his last win. Lizzie shot him a look that would've shot his attitude down but he was too excited about the oncoming fight to notice. She sighed and crossed her arms. "Just don't get too ahead of yourself..."

Walpurgis sighed. The lugia. He'd only ever fought one legendary pokemon before, and he and Gangrel had been trounced soundly. He knew Gangrel would be perfectly willing to continue, but Walpurgis suspected another loss so quickly after the last one would do more damage than should be risked. He pulled Satori's pokeball from his belt, throwing it out onto the stage before him.  900 HP

Psywater glanced down at the little cat Pokemon with a quizzical expression on his face. He was supposed to battle this? To him, it seemed doubtful that the Purrloin could do any damage but Lizzie gave him another 'you-better-take-this-seriously' look.
"Just like last time." She called out. "Put up a Safeguard!"
The Lugia pulled his focus away from the Purrloin and concentrated. Throwing up his wings he casted a veil of light over himself.

Psywater found the Purrloin's theatrics to be cute but he wasn't sure what's up with that. If he goofed around like that he would be scolded and besides, it was useless to keep on using Safeguard anyway.
Lizzie couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. Disaster averted. And now he's opened himself up to attack. "Psywater, use Rock Smash!"
Snapping out of his thoughts, Psywater swung his tail at the Purrloin, trying his best to hit the small target.

Satori was hit by the huge tail of the lugia, but held on to negate the far more punishing impact of being slammed into something. Climbing up the tail, she raced along Psywater's back before emerging onto this head. Leaning down, she peered into his eyes cutely, blinking a few times for added effect.

Psywater craned his head, searching for the pesky cat that decided to clamber onto his back. When he found the Purrloin right between his eyes, the adorable eyes made him falter a bit. Well, a lot actually.
"Don't fail me now!" Lizzie should've anticipated that the opponent would work his way around the Safeguard. But they still had a lead and she was determined to keep it. "Keep on using Rock Smash!"
Psywater could barely hear his trainer over the cuteness clouding his brain. But he heard something remotely like an order to attack and he brought a wing up to smack Satori.

Satori hopped off Psywater's head before tilting her own.

Satori quickly spun around with barely visible claws, a wave of dark energy radiating outward.

Psywater got confused when the kitten suddenly wasn't on his head anymore. He looked around frantically before realizing that she was on the ground. He still really wanted to pick her up and hug her, but that was before he got a face full of scratches. He shrieked in pain and flailed wildly, not believing what just happened.
Lizzie grinded her teeth. This really wasn't going to well for them. If only Psywater would just snap out of it! "Come on! Attack with another Rock Smash!"
The Lugia couldn't very well, since the Night Slash attack had scored his eyes, but he swung his tail around anyway. He really didn't want to hurt the Purrloin though, even after all she had done to him...

{You won't do it, will you? Attack me like that mean human said? I can't bear the thought of you betraying me like that! Tell me you won't do it, please? Please!}
Crocodile tears streaming down her face, Satori hid a grin as she launched another wave of darkness at the lugia.
