Another clear run in the labs. The first of many Marcus expected. While not the worse thing that could happen, it- okay yeah having the Island overrun with monsters was one of the worse things. Whispers and jabs at failure, at foolishness and ineptitude drove into Marcus just want to move. To do something. To fight and attack and just be useful. It was worth a shot at least. An invite to Wilson and they headed out, Marcus trying to focus on Dis rather than the voices of blather. He wanted something, anything to pushed the voices away. "So Wilson, do you own a volley ball?" It was a dumb question, but god he hated the voices. Annoying and....painful. As he looked up he didn't notice a monster barrel into him, making him stumble back. "God damn it." The voices, and Dis, chided him for not paying attention. The idea of monsters running rampant around the island did not settle well with Wilson. While the trainee was admittedly worried about his belongings, once Clarice had declared Labs to be the priority he couldn’t bear to disagree with the woman. Once upon a time, he had been a sleeper as well. They had to clear out the labs as soon as possible. He couldn’t let the sleepers die without a proper chance at waking up, so the invite from Marcus had been gladly accepted, especially now that he was feeling better. The first day back had been killer. He could have sworn he had heard voices. Ha.
He walked alongside Marcus, adjusting his mask a smidge before he gripped his cannons. “A volleyball?” His voice was slightly muffled. “No, why?” Wilson heard Marcus swear as something barreled into him. “Are you okay?” he asked, about to fire a shot of gas until he realized that was not smart at the moment and smacked the creature with his cannons. [I think you should have used the gas anyways.] Gramps. [What??]

If sleepers died what then? Marcus was betting that then they would be worse off. No sleeper meant no new trainees. No new trainees equaled no new hunters. No new hunters meant s**t was going to be ********.
"No, I am not okay." He said, before stabbing at the thing., yet missing by a wide margin as it moved out of range. "And you ever see that movie? With the volleyball head." He frowned. "Castaway or something?"

“I thought so, but I figured I should still ask to make sure.” Wilson eyed the creature as it moved out of Marcus’ range. It was large and fairly solid. He stepped forward to swing at it with his cannons again. A quick glance to Marcus just as the creature attempted to lash out at him. Wilson ducked and kicked it away as it began to disappear. “Movie? Oh! Castaway! I think I watched that a long time ago. The volleyball had a name right? It was, uhhh…”

The creature was gone and Marcus resisted the urge to slap himself. But that wouldn't do any good and really, Dis was keeping the voices down with bad voice overs of what the vampire had deemed 'sexy' songs. Having bad a** grab music was a step up from voices in Marcus's opinion. But- "Thanks" he said, with a sigh. "Sorry if I'm snapping just a bit on edge you know?" HP: 44 Defeated: 1

A dark blur nearly collided into him.
He flailed his arms as he spazzed out of the figure’s way. “Jesus Christ!” Wilson yelped as he eyed the creature. It looked a lot like the previous one.

Whatever Wilson had meant to say was cut off by the thing, and Marcus scowled as it circled them. Slow, but that didn't make it any less dangerous. "My off day feels like an off week. Save the world, go insane. Seems legit." Staying between the two, he struck out at it. "I've got your back. Let's kill this thing."

Off week did not send good. He winced. Wilson wasn’t sure what to say about that. “Go…insane…I see,” muttered the trainee as Marcus stepped between him and the creature. “Alright, thanks Marcus!” He peered between Marcus. “Watch out, okay?”
Watch out?
Wilson let out a large spray of gas.
…oh.

Why he had to watch out became apparent with the gas in the air. Lifting his scarf over his face, he wasn't too fond of what it might do to his system if he wasn't careful. Still, the thing was near dead, which was the point of Wilson passing gas wasn't it?
Dis chuckled in his head. Stabbing down, the creature was dead before he could even pull back.
"That was anti-climatic."

True enough. All they had to do was run around and kill things. A bit of an easy task, even if insanity bird was possibly lingering around. "True, it does beat jungle duty at least. I- Oh hey." As he swung to get rid of the creature, he felt it hit him in the leg. "Want me to take defense?"

Wilson lunged forward to swipe at the creature with one of his cannons, but he only managed to land a soft blow to its side. It reached out toward the death trainee in retaliation, swiping at him with sharp claws. He leaned away and took a step back, but he still couldn’t completely dodge it. The creature was too fast.
“This guy doesn’t seem too bad, but a little defense couldn’t hurt!”

If only Gramps could have heard Des. He would have been screaming his head off at the stupid vampire for daring to think such a blasphemous thing. Especially when he was the one doing most of the attacking here. T: “Oh, um,” Wilson paused so he could think it over. “I’ll make sure to stay far enough away to minimize effects.” [Or you could use me to bash it, which, by the way, I do not enjoy. I am a cannon that shoots gas not a—]
This thing was fast, but fortunately gas naturally spread out. Wilson took a few steps away from Marcus before he doused it in a thick cloud of green.
