 Chichi sat under the big willow tree, by the river on the hill. It was a beautiful day out, Chichi already laied out the huge checkered blanket, it was huge, ten noodles could sit on it and be comfortable. She didn't unpack the basket yet, not until Yvette showed up. She sat there, leaning against the willow trees trunk, watching the river go by. She realized they didn't give a time to meet, but she would eventually show up.

 Yvette just knew she was late. She had that feeling, even though they hadn't set a time that she was late. Well maybe just maybe she'd get there first, although she doubted it. She tugged on shirt as she trotted towards the tree. The shirt was one Yvette had never worn before, a soft green affair that made her eyes more green than brown. It hadn't been Yvette's choice but as soon as she mentioned she was going to be out for the day and why, Jenna had decided that nothing Yvette owned was acceptable "date" attire.
Despite Yvette's protests, she'd ended up with this new light green t-shirt and a pair of cream colored capris. There was also a new clasp at the end of her braid one of the jasper ones from the case that Jenna knew was a "trophy".
"I'm gonna kill her..." Yvette muttered under her breath as she crested the hill and stopped looking over at the huge blanket with Chichi in the middle of it. "Am I late?" she said catching her breath.

"No, you aren't late, we never set a time, so it's impossible for you to be late, silly" Chichi looked at Yvette in her outfit, she looked so beautiful, her eyes looked so green, she figured it was the shirt. She was glad she wore green today because Ms Lizzy said to Give her a deep green emerald. They made it into a beautiful necklace, even if it was string, strong string, it looked very nice. one big Emerald in the middle and one smaller on each side. 3 gems that she hoped Yvette would like.
" A friend and I made this for you." She handed it to Yvette. "It's Emeralds." She took out a piece of paper to read what it stood for. "The emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus. It was thought to preserve love. The emerald has long been the symbol of hope. It is considered by many to be the stone of prophecy. For some the emerald acts as a tranquilizer for a troubled mind. The emerald is said to bring the wearer reason and wisdom. And these Emeralds are the right green. that means they are worth more then diamonds." She wondered if she would accept this, but it was made just for her. Lizzy has tons of stones, she had a pile of emeralds, she doesn't want money for them, they mean more to her just in her collection. Lizzy was very giving. She was so surprised she offered these stones. She said Emeralds are perfect as a gift. She smiled at Yvette waiting to see what she thought.

Yvette plopped down on the blanket. "True, but I didn't want to keep you waiting forever." she said.
She looked out towards the river then back as the angelic handed her a necklace. The stones were beautiful, the quality of the cut was near flawless and the color was rich and clear. "Oh, wow..." she said breathlessly and looked at the larger stone with a practiced eye. "I'll say they are. These are...I mean just wow...they're gorgeous." she looked over at the other female with wide eyes. "Are you sure you want to give this to me? I mean...its beautiful. I really don't know what to say."

"It was made for you, it's yours" She smiled. She opened up the basket, she put out the container with the sandwiches, then the little pies, then some cherries and strawberries. The big container of lemonade, two cups. "There, eat up." Chichi picked a sandwich up and started eating, The sound of the river was so relaxing.

Yvette nodded still stunned. "Thank you so much." she slipped the necklace over her neck and was about to grab a sandwich when her eyes slid over to the strawberry container.
Being unable to resist the red berries she quickly snaked out a hand and had the top off the box in two seconds flat and had already popped one of the berries into her mouth. "Mmmm...still a little early for strawberries but still good." she said her tail flicking happily at her successful conquest of the container.

Chichi smiled. "Eat what ever you want when ever you want." She stook out a strawberry and ate it too giggling. "Yum! Very fresh. I hope you don't mind i pited the cherries, it was alot of work, but i think it's better then spitting them out." she lifted up her hands, "I'm surprised I got all the stain off, though it was a very beautiful color."
"Oh, My mom had her bowls! One girl two boys! That means I have two sisters and two brothers. I'm the oldest of them all." She picked up another strawbery and studied it. "They look amazing, compared to my sister and mine, ours were so dull. I seen pictures, I mean we were cute, but we look just like our parents, these bowls look like they are gonna be different." She then popped in the strawberry she had been studying. "Did your parents keep pictures of you? I wonder what your bowl looked like, we will have to show each others bowl pictures."

Yvette snorted. "That sort of thing never flew when I was growing up. D was very meticulous about meal times, but he can't help it." she reached over and grabbed a sandwich and took a bite. "That's a lot of work, but awesome." she reached over and took a cherry and ate it.
"Congrats. I'm the oldest of five as well." she considered then shook her head. "No, there are no pictures of any of us. Least no hard copy pictures, D just keeps archived images for Daddy. Safer that way. Besides Daddy didn't see Raleigh until he was a kit and ran away from his mom's. I don't think he met Lyon really until he was an adult, and I've never met Lawrence at all. Although I hear he's kinda a tool. And I'm pretty sure the same rules that went for Kyna and I went for Dom." she shrugged. "Just a spartan bowl. Nothin' goin' on. I looked pretty much exactly like my daddy."

"Then he must be a pretty guy" She giggled, taking another bite of her sandwich. "Yea, it became very tedious, but it was worth it. I don't understand why they offer olives pit-less but not cherries. They would be eaten alot more if it was done that way. Less messy too." She looked at the necklace on Yvette. "That necklace suits you, you both are beautiful and rare!" She giggled then popped a cherry in her mouth.
"So, you read,.... what do you like to read? I like scary books, zombies, fantasy." She wasn't really close to her mother or father. They never really talked, just kinda was. She planned to be close with her youngest sister. "When my youngest sister is a kit, I will bring her to meet you. Her name is Vicki. Well Victoria, but I find that too long and fancy. What are your thoughts on kits?"

Yvette considered that. "Uh...I suppose if you find scars attractive...D is definitely what you'd call my 'pretty' parent. But he's just about perfect so not sure if that counts. Raleigh's mother is pretty...crazy...but she is pretty." she took another bite of her sandwich. "I think they do, the kind you put on ice cream but they're in the syrup and not just stand alone."
She looked down at the necklace and snorted, but smiled anyway. "I think I'm just me, but if you say so." she munched on the sandwich as she listened and had to quickly swallow to answer. "I like classical sci-fi lit, so Jules Verne that sort of thing. I read some modern Sci-fi but not a ton and that's about it. I collect more obscure things than I read." she blinked and coughed on the last question. "Kids? Eh, crossed my mind a few times years ago. Haven't really thought about it since then. I like kids though. Nothing wrong with'em."

Chichi smiled finishing her sandwich. "You don't like compliments much do you?" She giggled. "I hope you get used to compliments, because I'm always gong to send them your way." She then thought, would that piss her off?? "I mean I will stop complimenting if it bugs you," She sighed then ate a few more cherries. "So yummy!" She then thought about it. "I have never read any of those books, do they um... They talk different, not like Shakespear, but different then today?" She wondered if she sounded like an idiot? "What books did he write?? I might wanna read one."
She then started unpacking the little pies, four cherry cheese cakes and four apple pies. "I brought 2 each, because they are small." (Size of cupcakes, but no puffy top.) "Would you like a glass of lemonade, I made sure it's not too sweet, or not too sour."

Yvette shrugged. "Just not used to them." she paused. "I guess if you insist. Just know I'm not very good at sending them back." she said finishing her sandwich and playing with the end of her braid. "Hmm...well he wrote 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and Around the World in 80 Days, a couple others. They were all written around the turn of the century so it's all steampunk-ish technology and the science is wonky." she said.
She looked over at the little pies and stopped fiddling with her hair. "Those look delicious." she said with a nod.

"Hmmm, that's okay, I'm not used to being called pretty. I don't think I am, I look strange with stripes, I'm just not put together well I guess you could say." She placed two apple pies and two cherry cheese cakes in front of Yvette. "Eat up" Chichi yawned. "Ugh, waited til the last minute to get everything done, so I'm kinda sleepy." Chichi stretched out leaning against the tree sleepily. "I sure is a beautiful day out, the breeze is abit chilly, so if you want, i can help you keep warm." She laughed taking a drink of lemonade, she couldn't believe how cocky she was being. What was making her act this way?

"I've seen worse." Yvette said nibbling on a pie then pouring herself a glass of lemonade. "You shouldn't have pushed yourself on my account." she said. "Although this has been really amazing so thank you very much." she took a sip and leaned back watching the water rush by.
Yvette snorted. Was she trying to come on to her? Yvette figured that was a yes, but decided not to rush things. She'd gotten herself into trouble before rushing headlong into things, and the last thing she wanted was to make a mess this time around. "I'm okay. I run hot." she said.

Chichi giggled. "I'm sorry Yvette, I dunno what come over me. I'm not usually this pushy.... Sorry" She stretched again, then felt really stupid, she was the biggest a** for even saying that. Yvette probably only wanted to be friends. But she kissed Yvette, ugh, She was probably like what the hell?? ugh. She picked up a cheese cake and nibbled on it, she loved cheese cake, They turned out great.
"So, hmmmm, I wonder, tell me more about yourself, if you don't mind." She sipped some lemonade. "And ask me some questions about myself, I'm an open book.'
