Finvara nodded before he finished. "Of course, M'Lord," she replied with a kind smile. "If you come around with me to the side, there's a small stable to keep your horse. That's where I keep mine." She didn't like keeping her silver mare in the main castle stable. It was much too inconvenient for when she went hunting at night. She laughed a bit at his last statement. "But that armor can't be comfortable to sleep in," she said, on a serious note. "Have you not anything else to wear?" She hoped at the very least he would keep his helmet off while he stayed. "Use anything you need here," she said, leading him to the stable. "Just come on inside when you're done. I'm going to change out of these clothes.
She left the knight at the stable, confused at the turn of evens. A knight? Requesting to stay in the kitchen of all places? Though she wasn't sure if the way he kept mentioning the fact that she was a "commoner" bugged her or not. She shook her head, telling herself not to think too much in it, that that was the way he was raised, and continued to change. She put on her usual gear, which didn't consist of petty coats and long skirts. She felt so much better. She then went into the kitchen and began to prep for the Royal's evening meal while she waited on Azen.

Well of course, it wasn't like he was nude underneath his armor. "I can help you with whatever you need," she said, scrapping some chopped vegetables into a pot. It always seemed as though she was working in a frenzy when she was preparing meals, but in truth, that was just the way she did things. She called out a few orders to her helpers, and while the pot stewed, she walked over to the knight who was sitting at a table by the door and hopped up on the counter. "I don't believe I've seen you around here before," she observed, taking him in now that his helmet was off. He had striking eyes and lovely dark hair, she thought. "What brings you to the Kingdom, if you don't mind me asking?" She gripped the sides of the counter where she sat, looking down at him.

Finvara let out a "Hmm…" when he said he was from the East. He wouldn't be staying long, then. But he would be around for the wedding festivities, and she found herself very happy about that. There was something about him that she liked. He wasn't overly eager. In fact, he wasn't eager at all. He had been kind and respectful to her since the minute she ran into him. And he requested to spend the evening with her, rather than a noble woman or one of the princess's pretty little handmaids. "Oh, I see," she said, nodding. "Well, welcome," she said with a smile. "I hope you enjoy your stay." She flashed another smile before hopping off of the counter to go turn the boar that was roasting on a pike over a large fire.
"Ollie!" A bald man with a big belly came hurrying over to her. "Would you be a dear and turn this for a little while? Just for a minute. And make sure you stop when his belly is in the air. Do you understand?" she asked him with a kind smile. He nodded and set to work. She grinned, walking back over to the knight. She really did love her helpers. "Is there anything I can get you, M'Lord? A goblet of wine? Bread and cheese?" she offered him, still smiling.

The route to the kitchen was surprisingly difficult to navigate. The corridors resembled a labyrinth, splitting frequently and occasionally ending abruptly to a recently constructed wall that always left Ewan frustrated as he wandered to find a new route to the kitchen. Luckily, such frivolous construction hadn't been performed for several months and Ewan secretly believed the mysterious stone mason had barricaded himself behind one of his own walls. Such thoughts had prevented him from ravishing random women at dead ends in case a haunting voice whispered through the walls asking for water. His unfounded fear wasn't well developed, but he carried around a flask of water at his side at all times as a good conversation starter. Water was what the women believed was inside, at least.
He heard the unfamiliar voices before rounding the corner to enter the kitchen. A woman sat at the table, clad in armor with hair a slightly different shade of red than Finvara's. The cook, on the hand, sat atop a counter with another knight also in full armor (though obviously male) positioned in front of her. Jealousy stirred in the pit of Ewan's stomach, rising quickly to tighten his vocal chords and prevent them from forming surprise accusations. Ewan held no claim to Finvara, at least not one that she consented to, but seeing Finvara likely flirting with the kitchen newcomer evoked such deep emotion that it took all his will power from walking forward and striking the knight to make his brain rattle under his raven-dark hair.
"Who are you?" Ewan asked dryly to the knight at first, but realized he'd have to play the game more carefully if he wanted to get Finvara's attention back. "You have lovely red hair," he said to the new woman sitting at the kitchen table. "Alyss, I think I heard as I walked in?"

Azen Stormcloud Knight
Azen came to decide on water, and promptly told Finvara his choice. Striking a conversation was difficult since he was from a secretive family, and hardly did he hold a conversation but with his own men in battle or in camp. It was just hard for him to treat Finvara to be a battle veteran and talk to her as such, so he was at a loss of words. When Alyss Myss, Daugter of Sir Holden De Ware, entered, Azen stood up and bumped his fist to his chestplate in acknowledgement, but then came another man, who threw such a demanding question and he knew he would have to treat him as a noble, for him to be speaking with such an authoritative air. "Head of the Stormcloud family from the East. I am Azen Stormcloud, son of Lann Stormcloud. And you are?" demanded Azen with the same authoritative air that Ewan asked him.

Everything seemed to happen at once. Alyss walked in and Finvara supposed she thought this was the Knight's Quarter for some odd reason, which it certainly was not. In all honesty, she never really allowed anyone in her kitchen, except for Ewan and now Azen. Ewan would never listen if she told him to scram, and Azen had just shown her kindness by escorting her back to her domain.
Finn rolled her eyes when Ewan all of a sudden got protective of her. She could tell what was going on in his head, and from the tone in which he was interrogating, she suspected jealousy. But from what? "Oh, for Christ's sake," she sighed when he testosterone battle began, her kitchen gone to hell, and slid Azen a glass of water. "Alyss, dear, the Knight's Quarter is on the other side of of the castle grounds," she added wearily as she walked back over to her pot of stew. There went getting to know the knight, Azen. However, she was certain that with Ewan here now, things weren't going to be boring...
