Sailor Tsui might not have found her true calling as a Senshi, but she was eventually going to figure it out someday. The days in between were spent in class, or out in the streets, patrolling the area and on the look out for the usual bit of trouble. Youma, Negaverse lieutenants and even Dark Mirror Senshi were on the prowl somewhere in the city, and Tsui was determined that even if she couldn't figure out what her long term goal was, her short term one would be to keep the streets and citizens of Destiny City safe from the forces of Chaos. 'I should wear a mask and have a cape, and then I could be like Batman!' Tsui thought to herself, standing on the edge of the building and observing the city below. She never really thought of herself as a hero... then laughed, because that was a complete lie. Of course she thought of herself as a hero; she ran about the city, fighting the nefarious forces of Chaos and claimed to be protecting the innocent; if that didn't make her a classic comic book hero, she wasn't sure what did. 'Okay, no capes. If there was one thing I learned from The Incredibles, is that capes are bad. Very bad.'The thought of being sucked into an airplane engine was present in her mind, despite the fact that she, Senshi of Tigers, could not fly and likely never would. Still, she could only imagine the horrors of wearing a cape and how'd it'd get caught onto EVERYTHING, and that was more than enough to convince her to forget the subject all together. As well as the sight of a a yound adult female, probably in her early to mid twenties, walking down the night street alone. She thought to herself what an easy picking that woman could be to not only a potential criminal, but to an agent of Chaos, and she followed the woman's progress from the rooftop, leaping from one building to the next and trying to be as silent as... well, a tiger, of course. 'Never thought I'd be the type to stalk, but I want to make sure you'll be safe...' Tsui thought to herself, putting out her 'feelers' and trying to sense if there were any dark energy nearby. She could sense it, but just barely, but it was enough to keep her following the lone woman, watching her pass through a desolated street to take a shortcut. If there was an agent of Chaos out there, that's where they might be...

An agent of Chaos certainly was out there, but likely not one senshi often ran into.
One Carnelian was perched on top of a street light, using the darkness created in its blind spot as a hiding place. He was still the first rank and never really aspired to much more save if his girlfriend allowed it. Euclase was too busy at the moment and so her man was taking it upon himself to work her shifts for her gathering energy. A lone young lady would certainly be easy prey and though he always made sure they ended up somewhere safe, it was still a terrible thing he was doing.
Once she passed beneath the light, Carnelian silently landed behind her, coat furling in the air. "Excuse me, miss. I seem to have lost my way." he started, using the few lines he knew always worked. A gentle smile, non-predatory eyes. He was clean cut and carried no visible weapon, though the corrupted senshi did nothing to hide the gaping holes in his chest and forehead. "Would you mind accompanying me? I'm quite lonely. I hope you don't mind?" If they ran, they were easy to catch. If they screamed, they were easy to silence. Carnelian didn't like having to harvest energy from people, but at least finding targets was easy, escaping was cake and he could easily dodge pepper spray or the like. Battling was not something he liked to do.

The young woman was startled by the sudden appearance of Carnelian, and it was obvious that she was a bit suspicious (likely, the gaping holes in their chest and forehead were meant to be noticed). Perhaps they were simply tattoos, completely realistic looking tattoos? The woman took a step back but didn't run away, and she was about to address him when Tsui decided to make her entrance. Like hell she'd allow an innocent citizen to be hurt! "I'd step away from him, if I were you, ma'am!" Tsui said rather loudly, announcing herself not only to the possible victim and the other senshi. She didn't recognize him, but she couldn't ignore her senses or the tingling on the back of her neck. She didn't know who he was, but she didn't have a good feeling about him. As the woman turned to look at her, she pointed a firm finger at Carnelian, waiting to get a better look at him until she was safely out of his reach. "And you, whoever you are! Don't you dare think of hurting a single hair on her body!" She didn't understand the look of fear in the woman's eyes when they flashed over to her, and she was relieved to see that she was moving away from Carnelian, until her panicked shout reached her ears. "Wait- aren't you... one of them? Those Sailor Scouts? EIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" Without warning, she screeched and ran, away from Carnelian and away from a very, very confused Tsui. She asked aloud, but not to Carnelian specifically. "Wait, what? What's up with that response?"

The scream was annoying, but he couldn't pursue with a White Moon senshi nearby. That would cause a battle and that was the last thing he wanted. All he wanted to do was relieve this young woman of some excess energy, which would be donated to a very good cause, and be on his way.
But no, someone had to come along and ruin it.
Carnelian rolled his eyes and shifted his weight to his other leg, hand on his hip. "She was talking about you, Miss Terrorist. Now look what you've done." He sighed, hopping deftly to sit upon the stone wall towering over the sidewalk. One leg over the other, he smoothed out his coat. "They're all afraid of you and your kind for a very good reason. I wish you'd just..." Another sigh. "...opt to just see the light and be done with this silly war. People don't need to keep getting hurt."
Their lunar queen wasn't going to come to fruition, not so long as the protectors of Earth were around to stop them. Not that Carnelian thought he could do much of anything on his own. His game was more to disarm with words than with blows. Besides, Euclase was the fighter. Carnelian was the lover and rather liked it that way.
"Look, I'm not sure what you and yours' deal is, but you really should learn to leave people alone. The people of Destiny City are growing tired of the constant property damage and your frills and magic. I'm rather surprised they haven't simply rioted against all of you. Why not just go back into space where you belong, hmm?" The corrupt senshi tilted his head. "Miss... whoever you are."

"'Miss Terrorist'?" Sailor Tsui was taken back by the word, and that was only the beginning of his rather harsh verbal assault. She stood there, thankful that the woman seemed to have escaped (despite her rather rude behavior towards her), but now she was in complete silence and awe at this other Senshi's audacity. He was the one that was going to harm her, and he had the nerve to call her a terrorist? She took in his words, feeling the familiar confusion she felt from the time she met with Sailor Remarque present, but slowly being clouded by anger. What the hell was he going on about? See the light? Silly war? The citizens fearing the Senshi? She didn't even bother to introduce herself, pointing at the other Senshi and letting him know that she was NOT going to put up with his insults silently (as well as her inexperience). "Afraid of us? We're not the ones sending out youma to collect energy or kill innocent civilians like the Negaverse! And you... you got some nerve, talking to me about seeing the light!" She stepped closer to him to get a better look at the senshi, seeing the black holes in his chest and forehead and unable to ignore them, despite her boiling hot anger. She knew right off the bat that he wasn't like Remarque, as he was, well, whole, and this guy was obviously missing something in those two locations. Finally, her curiosity got the better of her anger, and she asked, not making any motions to attack him but remaining alert and aware. "What's with the holes? Tattoo service in the Dark Mirror Court takes things to the extreme or what?"

Carnelian tilted his head. Her anger was white hot and apparent and that fact made him alert and jumpy, but he tried to maintain an air of indifference. "What, you don't watch the news? Don't read the paper? That's what they call you. The people of Destiny City see all of you as terrorists and label you as such." He gestured broadly to encompass the city as a whole. "All the property damage, the attacks, the wasted man-hours trying to clean up your messes... the city's under siege and it's really all your fault, you know."
There, maybe that would do it.
The closer she approached, the more uneasy Carnelian became. There was a hand placed firmly on the wall so he could get airborne quickly. Negaversers were fast and he thought himself faster than her despite their age difference. She looked so young. How on earth was it fair that these cats were awakening children and asking them to do their dirty work? It was disgusting. She was older than Lenka so she should know better. This girl should be back home with her family and let them protect the city from the alien invasion.
The corrupted senshi blinked. "Tattoos? Oh, you mean these." Carnelian looked down at his chest, at the hole that appeared there every time he henshin'd. Gingerly, eyes locked on Tsui's, he thrust his hand inside. "It's not a tattoo, you see." Pulling his hand back out, he chuckled and poked a finger into the hole in his forehead. "I have nothing to do with the Dark Mirror Court, I assure you. Sorry to disappoint. Were you looking for one of them? If so, I'll take my leave."

Anything that Carnelian said before poking his hand and finger into the holes were almost forgotten, and Tsui was visibly startled by this feat. What she thought were realistic tattoos were actual holes; what sorcery is this?! She remained where she was, stopping her advance but making it absolutely clear that she wasn't going anywhere, which wasn't necessarily a good sign for Carnelian. "What... what the hell is up with that? How can you even be alive with those holes in you?" In truth, maybe she didn't want to know. Her mind shifted from the unnatural orifices to the topic of terrorism, and her anger overrode her curiosity again. "The city's under siege by the Negaverse, and we're the ones defending it. How confused are you?" In truth, she never bothered with the media; she was only a teenager and what use did she have for such politics? It was too complicated, too heavy; she'd worry about that when she got older, she told herself. For now, she focused on the present, and she threw another question to the not-a-member-of-the-DMC senshi. "If you're not a member of the Dark Mirror Court, then who are you?"

Damn, that little display of creepery usually scared them off. Carnelian looked annoyed for a moment, frowning. "How can you even henshin and look like that? It's magic - powers us all. I'm not the only one with these holes, you know." Euclase, Lyra and so many others he'd met were slightly different than their relatively new Dark Mirror cousins.
Her agitation was making him antsy. He couldn't tell what her powers might have been, only that she and he were the same level in terms of power. That also meant he should flee as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Carnelian was monstrously taller than her and that meant he could cover distance faster. This thought was comforting. "How confused are you?" came the reply. Carnelian gestured as he spoke. "You're the ones from space, coming down here to enslave the earth under some Lunar Queen. If you were truly defending the city, then why is everyone afraid of you?"
Himself included but that was another story.
On the topic of introductions, Carnelian stood and bowed at the waist, ever polite. "I'm Carnelian, Senshi of Pain. I work for the Negaverse."

"A senshi... that works for the Negaverse?" Tsui was more surprised by this fact that she was with him showing off his holes, and finally, it seemed that her initial anger was quelled, if only for a moment to take in all that he had said. How could a Senshi work for the Negaverse? Weren't they the sworn enemies of the Senshi? And what was he going on about with this alien invasion? She brought this up, anger in her voice still but masked greatly by her confusion (which she didn't even bother to hide). "What are you talking about with this alien invasion? I don't recall ever being told to conquer this planet when I was awakened; just told to wait out my leader's arrival. And I'm pretty sure she has no plans of world domination when she returns..." The thought of that actually kind of made her chuckle on the inside. What if she was waiting on the moon, and one day came out screaming like Rita Repulsa? The thought was humorous, but she was certain that it wouldn't be the case. Why would she want to conquer Earth? Wasn't she meant to be Order? She... didn't get it. "I think we have a pretty big misunderstanding here, Carnelian," Tsui said, hands on hip and firm in her stance, but not approaching the taller senshi anymore. "We're just here on Earth to defend this city from the forces of Chaos and evil, and I'm sure once our queen does show up, then we'll gladly either take our leave. Assuming the forces of chaos don't try to destroy this planet or something." She knew she sounded naive, but what else could she do? She was still young, didn't know the complete inner workings of the White Moon Court, much less that of the enemy's, but she was absolutely certain that wherever her leader was, she wasn't planning on conquering this planet. That just wouldn't seem very Orderly of her... "Name's Sailor Tsui, Senshi of Tigers, by the way. Figured since you were nice enough to introduce yourself, I'd do the same." She looked at those holes again, honest curiosity getting the better of her. "How did you get those, by the way? Did... someone else do it?"

"Of course they won't tell you when you're awakened - it's more subtle than that, you see." explained, pacing leisurely back and forth on the wall with his arms wrapped around behind him. "Would anyone want to power up if you were told to take over the city? Most wouldn't." That was his reasoning anyway, and to him it made complete sense. The cats were the instigators of all this ridiculousness and therefore had a direct hand in continuing the war by awakening more and more senshi with these lies. Carnelian chuckled when the Lunar Queen was mentioned. "You were told to wait out your leader's arrival? And you can assume her intentions? Have you ever met her? Has anyone ever met her? Did the cats tell you this? They conveniently left out how you and your queen were responsible for destroying your own civilizations thousands of years ago. I hear they like to keep that bit very quiet." These were questions meant to disarm. Once she introduced herself as tsui of Tigers, Carnelian knew he was in for it if she decided to attack. Being on his feet gave him an advantage over sitting as well. "These markings and how I got them aren't any of your concern." came a stern reply. He didn't want to tell her how painful they were or how sometimes they creeped him out. That was too much information. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way~" The wall was too short to use as any sort of runway, so he landed near Tsui and hoped all his questions to her would allow him to flee without being followed.

Tsui had taken in all that he said, going back and forth between crossing her arms to resting them on her hips, and when the other senshi had the nerve to leave, that REALLY set her off. How dare he insult his Court and say such lies and then try to run away before she could even get a word in otherwise? Despite her better judgment, she followed after him, thankful for the athletic training she had and the increased speed from her henshin that she was certain that she'd keep up with him, despite his longer stride. She called out after him, giving him a fair warning before she pulled off the little stunt, running towards the wall and leaping onto the trashcans and pushing herself off. "I'm not done talking to you yet!" She timed her landing perfectly, twisting in midair and landing right in front of the retreating Negaverse senshi. She didn't call forth her white aura to strike, yet, but with the way she pushed out her hand towards him showed that she wasn't going to just let him get away. Not yet. "You got some nerve to badmouth my court without even giving me the chance to defend it. That kind of stuff my fly on the internet, but not here," Tsui said, holding her ground and preparing to give chase again in case he darted around her. She wasn't very tall and she knew she couldn't block the entire street, but she'd be damned if she didn't try to appear menacing. "Now what's this about my queen supposedly being responsible for destroying a civilization?"

Carnelian gestured the holes in his head and chest again. "Zinkenite and Tanzanite gave them to myself and Euclase when we pledged our loyalty to protect the earth." He sighed visibly, shaking his head and sending tendrils of red hair waving like so many snakes in the wind. "We saw a senshi nearly assaulting a poor woman and that's when we were offered the chance to make a difference." He stood up again, facing her fully. "And so we have." The corrupted senshi waltzed back and forth in front of his White Moon counterpart, one hand in his coat pocket. "There are so many homeless and disenfranchised because of the wanton destruction caused by White Moon Senshi. This is why the media doesn't like you - it tells the truth. Maybe not all of you do this, but enough of you do to cause a problem. That's why I must insist that you return to space. It's safer there for all the poor people of Earth. Don't you want to help them?" It seemed to him that Tsui was not going to back down, and she was the senshi of tigers on top of that. That meant claws and probably bleeding. The last thing Carnelian wanted was a fight but it was looking less and less likely. Setting up his casting position, Carnelian faced his target again and raised his forearms. "Now please, if you'd turn around and go back the way you came, this will end peacefully."

Tsui didn't know who Zinkenite nor Tanzanite were, but she assumed that they had been high ranking officers within the Negaverse if they had the ability to recruit others to their cause. Which meant that Carnelian's loyalty was to the Negaverse, and that... honestly interested Tsui. She had no idea that Senshi could be recruited into the Negaverse, but she was still young, still new to this business, so her not knowing this didn't surprise her too much. What did surprise her was the thought of a member of her OWN court hurting a civilian, and Tsui simply couldn't believe it. She allowed her disbelief to be seen, but she tried to chose her words carefully; after all, she didn't want to call Carnelian a liar, as he was there during that particular event and she, however, was not. "That... doesn't seem right at all. I don't know any member of the White Moon court that would even DREAM of hurting a civilian... when I was awakened, I was told that my duty was to protect the innocent from evil. And the media reports wrong information all the time, so I wouldn't use them as a valid source of information, if I were you." She brought a hand to her chin, considering the possibility, even though the thought was rather radical, even to her own ears. "Maybe that Senshi in particular didn't get the same kind of awakening that I did... but that doesn't seem right at all." And then there was the talk about space, and once again, Tsui's curiosity got the better of her. Now she couldn't let this Carnelian leave, not when she felt that she was learning a lot about him and just how completely different he was, despite being a Senshi like herself. "Well, how do you imagine we'd be able to get back to our homes in space? Last I checked, they closed down the NASA program, and unless you feel like donating a lot of money to the 'Send our asses home' drive, then I think we're stuck here." But the idea of space travel DID interest Tsui greatly, and she was so caught up on the thought of visiting her own homeworld constellation that she failed to see how he was moving into a combative position until he spoke up again. In truth, the thought of fighting him was long since quelled, in lieu of gathering more information from him, but she wasn't going to leave. "No, I don't think I'll leave yet. You're telling me an awful lot of interesting things that I find really useful, and allowing you to leave when you have the completely wrong idea about the lot of us White Moon Senshi would be a shame." She didn't raise her fists to strike, but she did stand her ground, and if he ran, she'd simply give chase. But like hell would Sailor Tsui turn her back to anyone and flee. That simply wasn't her style.

Carnelian sighed and shook his head. She didn't take his warning, not one bit. He didn't want to hurt her, really he didn't. He rather wanted the White Moon to come to understand what they were doing to the poor people of Earth. Carnelian was a lover, not a fighter. Euclase's job was to kick a** and take names, and it was his job to stand back and give cover fire. He wasn't built for up-close combat, wasn't made for the front lines. He was more like Zinkenite - a plotter, a planner. A backstage puppeteer. Too bad he didn't have any backup. "Whatever the case, I saw what I saw." he repeated simply, hoping to appear more intimidating than he felt. In all honesty, he was shaking a bit in his boots. Sure he had age and height on this Tsui of Tigers, but she had tenacity. A tenacity much like his girlfriend's. "I cannot believe you after meeting so many people you've disenfranchised. Too many have been injured, pulled into battle and left homeless. That's why we must stop you." Carnelian stood up straight, raised forearms at the ready. His magic pulsed around him, impatient. Aching to be fired. "By any means necessary." A breath. "Pain."Pain He breathes the name of his attack and bands of white energy form around the target he is currently facing. There is a two second delay before the energy bands collapse and dissipate into the target, causing pain to erupt in a part of their body. The pain is much like a muscle spasm or like one's leg falling asleep - prickly and painful. These bands can be dodged because of the delay and the limited range of the attack, and allies can be hit with it. The effect wears off after one minute. He can use this twice per battle. The target can only be hit when within ten feet of Carnelian.

Tsui was willing to fight, but she was more eager to find out more about the Negaverse and the Bizarro Senshi that was standing before her, along with the bizarro story about how she was apparently evil. And yet, she only had herself to blame for pushing Carnelian too far, as the moment those words left his mouth, she had managed a single step forward to strike him when the muscles in her thigh began to spaz. Tsui was not a weakling, not by any stretch of the word, as a lifetime of being physically active and her gymnastic training, as well as schoolyard fights, had made her rather resilient to pain. Or so she thought, until now. She could not hold back her pained yelp, and despite how much she prided herself for her perfect balance and strength, her leg had given out from beneath her and she hit the pavement at his feet with a grunt. As the pain consumed her thigh, she couldn't help but want to laugh at herself for being so stubborn, for being so interested in chatting that she didn't dodge the attack. She tried to hide some of her discomfort, as she glared up at him and spoke through gritted teeth, but she was certain that she was failing miserably. "O-OH... you... better run then... because if I-ever get feeling back in this leg... I'll rip you to pieces!" Lucifer Force Ermehgerd, charlie horse! Charlie horse!
