Dances Through Dawnbreak yawned and stepped back into the small clearing where she and a few of her friends had held a dance last night. It had been a private affair, broken up by a fire that'd started amidst their private celebrations. It was out, now, of course (thanks to their collective efforts), a small cluster of ashes beneath her feet. Should she clear them?

No, she thought tonight's party would be somewhere else. Perhaps somewhere not surrounded by trees; she liked them but they were, she'd discovered, really very flammable. Somewhere near water, too - they didn't want to repeat their mistakes.

Oh, but she didn't doubt that they'd return here soon enough. They were all kin, and, Party thought, all kin were creatures of habit.

But it was really so much work. She was sure that the wind would clear the ashes away on their own, in time.
