Mount Hakurei

[Shimmering_Apocalypse]

A once sacred mountain of absolute purity and divinity. Beautiful flowers grew from the foothills below to the mountain's summit, it was a place where no yōkai dared to enter. Naraku is now using Mount Hakurei as his new base of operations while he constructs a more powerful body, the once sacred mountain is now devoid of life and is surrounded in miasma.

He gave a sinister grin.."It seems like we have a visitor...let us extend our welcome...shall we" he said looking over to the old monk that created a light blue aura around him...immediately the barrier over the area had become strengthened...becoming more lethal to humans and demons alike.."to think a being such as myself would hold up in the center of all this pure energy...he laid back in the darkness...the mirror began to glow as it showed him Kikyo..."so the priestess is first to discover my hideout...she aims to risk her own life to kill him...how foolish...this shall be ....interesting" he watched the mirror growing more anxious to see what she plans to do...

The gate closed behind him from the shadow realm, there is no one in sight as he stood on what appeared to be an outdoor corridor of an old shrine. White mist obscured all the surroundings and that is not all. Almost as soon as he stepped into this place did pureifying energy clash with his aura sending up blue sparks that drew at his energy. This mist is the work of a holy order member. A Priest or a Preistess or even a strong Monk. What a strange place for a demon to hide in. Tailos for the moment ignored the pure energy in the mist and walked forward suppressing his youki. He following the outdoor corridors until he found the main shrine itself.

He saw no reason to knock, his youki created his own mist, black shadow realm mist clashing with the holy mist, tendrils of it creeping into the shrine, he used a force of his youki to push the heavy doors open and stepped inside. Down a long isle on a dais is an old Monk. Almost mummified to be precise, the corpse is what is emitting the holy energy. But almost as soon as he entered the room did he sense the presence of a few others in the room. He narrowed his eyes and stepped over the threshold, his youki closing the doors behind him with hallow echoing booms.

Naraku gave a sinister grin as several lights came to lighten up the room...he looked over to the visitor.."Ah much to my disappointment...here I was expecting you and yet you continue to burden me by barging in as a intruder....no need to be rash in you entry...oh mighty Lord Takahashi...please have a seat.." he said as several demons began to watch him they came close to the Lord as ignite his attention..."Don't pay attention to them...they will not trouble you..." whispered Naraku as tentacles grabbed them and dragged them to him...disappearing into the baboon suit

Deep within Mt Hakurei, where Tailos and Naraku spoke, a bright flash of Holy energy mixed in with dark energy flashed through the area. The light would be almost blinding. Soon though, the golden light began to fade into darkness as it overwhelmed the golden light. When it died down, a creature that was quite different from any creature known was there. On its forehead rested a Diadem with Sayu's insignia on it. The small creature stumbled from weakness as it fell to its knees. Opening its eyes, bright golden eyes that shimmered within it a picture of a place beyond the world that anyone may know, it stared upon the two men. It shivered violently, large marks appearing over its body from the darkness overwhelming its body, a thing made of light and goodness. Standing to its feet, the Angel's Pet moved back a couple of feet in fear. It was obvious from the diadem that this creature was meant as a gift for Tailos alone and for no other. A creature of the light to serve the darkness in its wishes. Should any creature attempt to take from this creature a piece of hair or such to use for the purpose of giving form to another creature, the piece would disintegrate. Then again if one were to simply pluck a hair or shaving from it, the piece would vanish. This was a creature that could not be mimicked. Its very make refused it to be done. The creature found its head being forced to bow before Tailos. 'A gift from Lady Sayu I am.' She spoke through the mind, unable to do so in this form. Only on the night of the New Moon was she allowed to do so as she turned human on those nights. 'Mana am I.' Her speech pattern was strange. Finally able to control her movements once more, she tossed her head. Pain covered her body from the darkness. The diadem would be able to control simple movements but nothing more. This supposed man that she was to serve would be able to manipulate the diadem to punish her should she go against him. Raising her head, the golden horn on her head glinted from her inner light as she spread her butterfly wings, standing as tall as she could before the evil creatures in front of her.

Lord Tailos had entered the Temple like room, torches flared to life all along the room. The demon that sat in a white baboon pelt inclined an acknowledgement to him. Tailos ignored the comment about breaking and entering. He made his way down the long room approaching the demon in question. Sesshomaru had spoken of this demon, a crafty character who goes by the name of 'Naraku. He is invited to sit, he considers the hospitality then would decide to show some courtesy, He had nothing to fear in this chamber, this demon or his mummified priest least of all. So he sat at the indicated chair. "You are Naraku." It wasn't a question, he assumed so and the slightest acknowledgment to the name would prove it. His tone is void of emotion. A group of vermin came nearer to his person as if to rouse him. He merely gazed coldly at the vermin, they would have died from suffocation had they crept an inch nearer to his person. "Don't pay attention to them...they will not trouble you..." whispered Naraku as tentacles grabbed them and dragged them to him...disappearing into the baboon suit So this creature is a parasitic type demon...one that merges with many other demons to maintain his body or to perhaps use as building blocks for a stronger body.

Before any further opening business conversation can be done however, there is a blinding flash of light to announce the entrance of another creature, the light is so strong and pure that Tailos raised a hand to shade his eyes while his youki created a black mist to shade him as well. When it had cleared, the creature that had appeared appeared to be a young female unicorn that sports butterfly wings. A spirit then of some type. And a pure spirit to boot, not something Tailos really cares for, pure spirits. The young filly stumbled to her hoofs and looked fearful of her surroundings, as though she had been dropped uncerimonisly alongside their presence by another force. He would notice the Diadem upon its head, a symbol of Lady Sayu. So the creature is one of her agents. The creature found its head being forced to bow before Tailos. 'A gift from Lady Sayu I am.' She spoke through the mind, unable to do so in this form. Only on the night of the New Moon was she allowed to do so as she turned human on those nights. 'Mana am I.' Her speech pattern was strange.

Lord Tailos merely gazed at the creature, 'a gift' to him. What poor tastes, what use would he have for a weak legged fluttery pony? "Be silent and stand at the door." he said emotionless dismissing the creature to turn his attention back on Naraku. "Now then, You have spoken that you knew of my coming. Then I am to assume that you know why I have come to this place." He is after the rest of the jewel to use for his own evil ends.

Mana grunted. Although she appeared young and wek, she was in fact strong. She could feel that her powers were diminished though because of the damn collar. It wasn't really a collar but it might as well be. Moving to the door gladly, she laid herself down. Nearby she could feel demons advancing on her. It was to be expected. Demons who wanted power often saw her as a way to get it. If she had been at her full power they wouldn't even be able to get as close as they were. Resting her head, her eyes were sad. She could not hate. It was one of things about her when she was created. As a demon moved up next to her, she fluttered her wings, allowing poison to seep out onto the demon. Immediately it moved away, unable to scream as the poison ate away at its flesh. The other demons seemed to take note and remained standing away. Along the edges of her hooves, bright light shimmered from the torches that had lit the area. It twinkled. Looking toward the demon that she had been sent to, hujmor glittering in her eyes. Only those who knew of the ancient heirarchy of the angels would know the power she possessed. It was fabled otherwise among the high ranks of the demons that upon one of her kind becoming human on the night of the full moon, she would be able to grant a wish. A snort escaped. No true wish could ever be made. Everything came with a price. If you used magic, it cost you something. If you used power, it cost you something. It applied to even her.

Resting her head once more, her mind moved to Sayu. The Angel had truly been on of the more powerful angels, on rank with Michael and Gabriel. She had been forced to destroy an innocent and had refused to return. At first, she was left alone. But then word had traveled that she had fallen in love with a human. Or was it a demon? She could not remember now. Either way, both Michael and Gabriel had taken action. Upon discovering it, Sayu had turned. She had fallen. She still remembered the mournful cries of heaven from that day. Her power was still great but was really a shadow of what she had once been. An idea began to brew. If Sayu were to learn to love, she would return to her former life. Not to mention, this evil creature would be unable to contain her power anymore. Of course she was blocked so she didn't know that Sayu was willingly serving and tying herself to this one. Mana's body twitched. She would do everything in her power to ensure this creature did not succeed in whatever he planned. Once she got free of serving this monster, she would regain her power and change once more. She would do everything in her power to destroy this creature as well as the one he conspired with. She made this silent vow to her father. A feeling of warmth moved through her.

Naraku laughed once again after seeing such foolishness..."somethings you cannot predict..." he said as a foul odor filled the room and a dark purple miasma spread as a hole tore out of the baboon suit...and the jewel emerged...almost complete..one fourth remaining...it sank back into his chest and the hole regenerated...the miasma died down.."You have come to waste my time...what could you possible do for me in return?" he said as his hand became a nest of snakes...slowly surrounding him..."That gift has a interesting peak of power...once darkness purges it...it could be a good treat..but though I cannot let you keep the jewel...just a loan...once your done...give it back..." he proposed as the snakes stopped hissing and slithered back forming his hand again..."that is my condition....but if you do agree..." he said taking off the mask...revealing a cold smile..."I want my treat dead..." he paused letting what he said settle in....this is the price

The filly shivered as the dark creature spoke. It was not out of fear that she did so though. It was more out of the feel of the darkness around her. She was apathetic. Raising, Mana’s eyes focused on this other creature. She snorted. Pitiful. If she had her full power, it would be simple enough to wipe the darkness from the creature. Mana usually didn’t like killing anything. She snorted toward the creature Naraku and turned away. Either way, he wouldn’t be able to get close to her. Her barrier would prevent it. It was also a barrier that couldn’t be taken down. The only ones able to pass through would be Tailos and Sayu. As Sayu had chained her and she was to serve Tailos, she was not safe from them.

Suddenly she felt something caress her neck. At first it was pleasant but then claws traced down the curve of her neck. Mana immediately shot to her feet, poison falling around her. Something laughed within her mind, dark and evil. Fear coursed through her heart. It wasn’t the kind of laugh most who were evil contained. This was true malice. Narrowing her eyes, Mana looked to the darkness around her. The demons around her had pulled back farther. It was nothing but shadows. Then she saw the eyes and her own narrowed. ‘Sayu… pull away from the spell he holds over you!’ Mana pawed the ground. Suddenly the collar tightened around her head and she collapsed to the ground. That had hurt. Still a shadow, she watched Sayu move close to her body. ‘You will not die…” Mana’s eyes drooped as she shifted into unconscious. Once the collar released, she would awaken.




Sayu arrived whilst they were all still talking. She remained close to the shadows, hiding her scent and presence. She became a shadow almost. Moving through the demons around the area, she slipped unseen and unnoticed to her gift. Her Lord would know that she was near but that was it. Slipping by Mana, she smiled maliciously. She would enjoy breaking her. When her purpose was complete, she herself would destroy her. It would be a mocking insult to the Angels. Reaching forward, she ran her hand along the neck of Mana. She appeared so very weak in this form. How convenient to those whom did not know of her power. They had no idea that something so innocent could be so powerful or deadly. As her claws ran down the length of her neck, she watched her leap to her feet. Using the old pathway of speech, she began to laugh in her mind. No one would be able to hear her.

When Mana spoke to her, she scowled. How dare she? She a forced servant? She was not weak. In reaction, she tightened the collar, forcing Mana to the ground. She moved next to Mana as she drifted toward unconsciousness. ‘You will not die…’ As she faded into blackness, Sayu’s gaze turned to the two in the center. She remained hidden in the shadows. She would await her Lord’s command to reveal herself. She viewed the half demon and sneered. Pathetic.

After Lord Tailos had dismissed the pony and returned to this meeting with Naraku, his thoughts were distracted however due to the news of having a half-breed whelp of his flesh and blood. It stunned him that he had a mutt of his bloodline, and for the life of him at first he couldn't think of how or when a child was conceived, all he can think of was when he used some pretty human whores as entertainment when he was younger. He usually killed any that got pregnant from the sport but he must have missed one. It is of no real concenquence. No he did not plan on keeping the mutt, half-breeds are abominations to the demon race. Vermin that needs to be terminated in order to keep good growth in demon lines. He had allowed Lady Sayu to toy with the mutt for the time being but if anyone has the right to kill the brat then that right is his alone. His servant shall give the brat a taste of what it is like to be his son.

A foul odor filled the room and a dark purple miasma spread as a hole tore out of the baboon suit of the being before him, this Naraku is not fully a demon, not a Daiyokai, but a wretch made up of hundreds or thousands of vermin yokai molded together with a single foolish human soul. A disgusting creature, Lord Tailos narrowed his golden eyes as the sacred jewel emerged from the hole in the baboon pelt...almost complete..one fourth remaining...it sank back into his chest and the hole regenerated...the miasma died down.. A display to show that this creature had what it is he seeks as the bargaining chip in this meeting. However it is not something to receive for nothing in payment. "You have come to waste my time...what could you possible do for me in return?" Tailos displayed no emotion on his face, he had numerous items of power to his disposal, "Name your price." He responded finally as the bargain for the Shikon no Tama began.

Naraku must be referring to that spirit over yonder. He spoke of a loan only, arching a cool brow, "A loan hm..." It is probably likely that Tailos could kill this Naraku here and now but the creature may yet be a useful ally to have alive then dead. Obviously he uses the power of the jewel to make himself great and perhaps he fallows the jewel's desires...? A philosophic debate to be considered another time. Naraku continued, "that is my condition....but if you do agree..." he said taking off the mask...revealing a cold smile..."I want my treat dead..." If it is the spirit that he wants then Tailos does not see why he should deny the creature his price. He has no use for the spirit to his knowledge. "As you wish, so be it." He would say finally.

Sayu narrowed her eyes in anger. He was giving away her gift to this creature. Glancing down at Mana, she watched the foal. Her dark eyes glittered in malice. This parasite wished to claim her gift for his own. Kneeling by Mana, she watched her carefully. Her gaze barely shifted to look at that creature. A dark smile appeared. He wanted to purge Mana with darkness. How foolish. Nothing could destroy the purity of this creature. It was made strictly to go deep within darkness and destroy it. He would be condemning himself to his own doom. If it was one thing she enjoyed it was chaos and destruction. It didn't matter whether or not they were evil by nature. It wasn't like he would even be able to touch Mana. Here barrier was unbreakable. All she needed was manipulate the collar.

Gently caressing the collar, she began to change it, not letting it loosen up whatsoever. It would change the type of control that her Lord had over it. As soon as he turned Mana over to that creature, it would be enough. Naraku would be able to tighten the collar to a point. It would make incapacitate her enough to make her obey but no more. The barrier wouldn't let Naraku close to her body to harm her as well. The collar would recognize his aura as unwelcome. Any who wished to harm her would feel the blaze of her purity, so powerful it would destroy them before they could ever destroy her. They may be able to physically cause damage but nothing life threatening. Those that wished to help her would only feel pain when attempting to remove the collar. She was the only one capable of removing such a collar.

Dropping her fingers, her eyes grew malicious. Settling her eyes down on Mana, she allowed the collar begin to loosen. It wouldn't do to have her completely incapacitated. She wouldn't reveal her presence either. That creature Naraku wasn't even worthy to lay eyes on her. Besides, he would know nothing about the truth of Mana. During her human nights, Sayu would come and take her away from the creature. No one would use her on that night. No one. Besides, she had bound the Angel's Pet so she had the ultimate say when it came to her. Was her Lord perhaps a fool and unworthy of her allegiance to him? Doubt filled her mind. She would see with time. Only her blood flowed into the making of the band anyways. No one would be able to add to it due to the barrier that would form around her or the band itself. Touching Mana's ears, she smiled darkly. 'You will feel pain and suffering like no other...' Rising, she slipped further into the shadows. She would leave when her Lord left. She would have to watch him closely. If there was at any time that he revealed weakness, she would dispose of him. She had no use for the weak.

Naraku expression changed as the jewel began to glow bright purple and flare..."Tell the wench to keep her pet...I sense it's intoxicating purity...take the jewel...but know that I will be taking it back.." he voice boomed as the ground beneath them churned and shook as if it was alive...demons escaped the walls and the ground...those beneath the pony hisses as they were half burned due to the purity...Sayu was discovered since she was standing on him the whole time...the demons came and began tearing Naraku apart...devouring him...until nothing but the jewel laid on the ground..as the demons escaped the structure...all that was left was a old wooden temple...the jewel rolled towards them...not black but purified, except for one small clould of darkness...Naraku had taken the darkness from the jewel but left a trance to prevent it from becoming almost impossible to taint again...a voice boomed before he completely disappeared..."The mighty Tailos...did you bring a servant because you were too much of a coward to meet me alone...your title and honor have fallen over time haven't they....we will meet again...until then enjoy what little time you have with the jewel...I will enjoy your attempt to get the two shards from Sesshomaru...my intel has told me he has also been awarded a rank as a Daiyoukai like yourself..then your battle with Inuyasha...I will enjoy this" a laugh followed as he was gone..

Possesses THE Shikon no tama

Tailos made a irritated sound when Naraku spoke, revealing that Lady Sayu is in the area, he had sensed her presence but where she was exactly is not known. It seems that the creature is not as appetizing to this abomination as it first thought. He would watch as demons came to devour Naraku and at the same time he narrowed his golden eyes as the abomination dared to speak so dis-respectively to one such as he in parting words, As Naraku disappeared, Tailos' youki lashed out causing the bundle of demons to combustion into white hot flames which disappeared with Naraku. Leaving a mostly purified jewel for him to take. Weather or not Naraku survived being burned alive in his departure, Lord Tailos could care less. He would use flows of air to pick up the jewel causing it to float up into the air in front of him as he stood, held out his hand and the gem fell onto his palm. Mostly whole with a few shards missing still. He had 2 more shards, he would pull them out and with his power bind them to the jewel itself so that he had but the shikon no tama in his grasp.

With his business finally at an end in this too pure place he turned away from where he had seen Naraku vanish in flames and made his way to the door, there he paused by the unconscious spirit, he could sense Lady Sayu's presence in this area specifically now that he is near enough. "So, how goes the progress with those intruders in my realm?" He would ask the air above the spirit, his composure calm and quiet. Surely by now most of that pathetic group have perished, if not then he does not care, his tone gave off the edge of not caring as he asked.
