It was an absolutely beautiful day, with a warm breeze and bright sunlight. The perfect day for a trainer to let her pokemon have the run of the world. And that certainly what was happening at one of the lakes where a very young Feebas was swimming around to her little hearts content.
Arethousa darted from one end of the lake to the other, loving the feeling of the freedom and enjoying the fine weather that was making this currently possible. Granted, she was feeling pretty confident considering her father was somewhere in the vast waters of the lake with her.

The sunlight felt so nice as the recently hatched Gallifrey ran near the shore, leaping up onto the stones sticking out from under the water and staring down at all the fishes. He yipped softly as he pawed at his own reflection with some curiosity to watch the ripples distort the image. The silver youngster gave soft bark and ran in circles onto of a flat rock on the lake. He was fearless, and no, it had nothing to do with his daddy being at the shore with their trainer!

Arethousa slowed a little as she felt the ripples from the surface of the water. Diving a little deeper, she swam over to investigate the cause of the disturbance in her lake. As she came closer to the shallow end of the lake, she noticed something silvery darting along the rocks.
Very carefully, she swam around the base of one of the rocks, then slowly rose to just under the surface. As she looked up at the small fuzzy, four-legged pokemon on the other side of the water's surface, a small and evil thought came into her mind. Without a second thought, she spit a stream of water out at the other pokemon's face.

The young eevee let out a squeal of surprise when the cold water hit his face all of the sudden. He yipped and pawed at his face, getting over the shock, all his dry furcoat bristle up(or rather poof up, making him look like a silver puff ball). He let out loud puppy barks towards water, tail up and high and angry.

With a flick of her tail, Arethousa surfaced and shot another stream of water up into the air. It wasn't that she was being malicious, but seeing the furry thing magically turn into an even furrier thing was just ridiculous.
"What exactly are you?" She laughed a bit as she slowly swam to the other side/.

Gallifrey eyed the fish with his mismatched eyes, shaking himself up until his furcoat was once again back to its normal density. He edge closer to look at it curiously, well the only fish he had seen so far were the ones his trainer would roast for dinner...those didn't talk. "I could ask you the same! With your fins and no legs!"

"Well, I'm Arethousa. And I'm also a Feebas." Without another word, she suddenly ducked under the water, then launched herself as high into the air as possible to show off her amazing jumping skills and her beautiful scales.
Unfortunately, due to her small size, her leap was anything but graceful and after floundering midair she splashed down on her side back into the water. Surfacing again, she immediately looked to see how impressed she'd made the mangy four-legger.

The eevee sat down and watched as this very odd creature of water disappeared from the surface of the lake and then came out to do a very sorry leap. Yeah, he had seen better. Utter confusion came to the puppy face. "That was.....um..well...." His father always told him gentlemen were polite. Yes, this came from the paranoid ninetails sitting at the shore, who was very much keeping an eye on his puppy. "Good...could use a bit work on the finish, but it was good..."

The feebas couldn't keep her face from falling a little, then she completely frowned. "I don't know what you're talking about, that jump was completely perfect! A piece of art in motion. Besides, I don't see you making beautiful jumps arching across the sky."
Arethousa snorted and turned away, then slowly glanced over at the silver eevee to see his reaction.

Well now she was just being quiet a bit of ridicules fish, wasn't she? Gallifrey looked at the rock he was sitting on, it wasn't very large, the best he could hope for was hop a bit. "Well I would show you how well I can jump if I had the room!" He didn't think his father would appreciate him falling into the water.
