The bad thing about being part of such a large team, Ganymede decided, was not the unavoidable bickering or the shouting over one another to be heard, but that there would invariably be one or two members he did not know quite as well as some of the others.
This sad fact was true for at least three of the current Jovians. The rest of his teammates he had seen more than once or twice, or had fought alongside in at least one large-scale battle (two in the case of Valhalla, Babylon, and Europa). It was a circumstance Ganymede thought he would do well to change. Unfortunately, his lack of confidence as a senshi tended to get in the way, and he often avoided any sort of confrontation if he could help it—friendly or otherwise. He’d encountered the others before, but it had usually been the result of them looking for him, not the other way around.
Tonight was different, not because he was intentionally looking for one of his teammates, but because he happened to come across one of them anyway.
“Vin!” he called upon recognizing the fuku (mostly by the hat, though the tights and skirt helped, too). Ganymede increased the speed of his steps to catch up with him, offering the other boy a smile he hoped looked friendly enough and not quite as strained by day-to-day stresses as it had been so recently. “Hey, I haven’t seen you in a while.”
