Ivynian The Broken Hammer This quest goes for any who wish to do it, I know at least Skie expressed interest. Chalybis. Adra. The remaining life within the woman-forge, the belly of fire and birth of metal, is grown thin. The remaining echo of her True Name is shallow, only a whisper. Her last host, mostly unknown, died during Gehenna, still mortal and unascended even to the half-point of a morph. A challenge indeed, to seek unknown locations and unknown remains. (( Arcane and Forge were determined to have failed in the first hosts and to have been reclaimed and available at the shop for their second hosts. The planned second host was mentioned by the owner to be named 'Coyote' and from implication was in fact a canid without hands. For purposes of this quest, the gem was taken by an aoide, Brolga, and put into the belly of prey animal that Coyote scavenged. In this way, Coyote discovered the stone and became host )) Quest Requirements Learn of The Forge - Sun Nov 30, 2008 was the last journal post of the last owner, January 2007 the last for the original. It has literally been YEARS since anyone interacted in any capacity with Forge, and few enough even got to meet her when she was active. Most of the Gods in shop haven't had occasion to meet or hear of this god throughout their rebirth. At least two joint posts seeking out and talking to gods who knew of Forge and/or actually met her. (Fire, Insanity, Medicine, Universe, Love/Khiviance, Gaia actually met her. Others have possibly heard of her existence through quests/others. Do some research, talk to the community, strike up rps.)
Ask an aoide of the Crown about Forge to learn of Coyote specifically and how the gem was given. At least on post, joint or solo, if you solo it, just run it by me as a check for what you wrote for the NPC Aoide. The list of Aoide you can talk to are : -Xedre, a drider -Aristogeiton, Roland, Genji, The Brolga, Nestle, LundiGras, Mars, Lindt, Laithaz, or Sophron - these are all Siira. Destruction likes them and has raised their souls to be his holy steeds. Siira communicate to each other through telepathy, but their ability to communicate increased with being raised to being able to speak in whispers in a mononoke hime sort of way with their ascension. (Note this applies only in Edelshop. I've no inclination/right to enforce this lore into Siira, which is a different shop operated by Xiao that I've guest coloured at.) -Zanalin, a dragon -Zhi or Myrrh, ascended Cera -Anezka, an ascended water spirit
Having gotten information on Coyote and the last known whereabouts of that host, at least one post traveling to a wild west-ish, Earth like world. Its a separate planet, so pick whichever transportation pleases you to get there. At least one post to do this, solo or joint.
Get on world, start hunting/tracking! This is a challenge because this world was blasted HARD by Gehenna. As noted, vestiges that reveal it to have had intelligent species and prarie biomes like to cowboy movies made a planet remain. Nearly no animals remain, and no sentient/high creatures are left here. At least 3 posts either joint or solo. Pay close attention to HOW you're going to track down a dead body/weak god signal, cause that isn't easy. Be creative! Show us the desolation, the trouble of doing this, and the glimmers of hope and renewal with the influence of Creation slowly spreading. How does your god deal with all of this? With the idea of finding a gem that has been so weakened through two failed hosts? You get the idea.

The Broken Hammer Locations To Be IntroducedWorld(s): Daelyth was once a beautiful world but with the advent of Gehenna, it was blasted and warped into a wasteland. The oceans are very saline and acidic, killing most of the aquatic organisms and the land is almost entirely desert. Rifts opened up across the continents, widening existing valleys and destroying others, swallowing whole nations as the ground itself shifted when the planes collapsed into each other. No sentient life remains as disease and war swept the lands. Demons roam the wastelands, feeding on each other when they do not form rag tag bands. Few animals live on, only the hardiest of the plants and animals eke out a meager existence. Small oases and rain shadows are the only refuges for life. Some trees, some bushes cling yet to life in these places of moisture or along dry river beds where the water is buried deep in the earth but still present. Places: Birnam on the Sea A ruined city built on a bluff above the ocean, half of the complex is broken and slid into the sea with the collapsed bluff. A tumble of rocks, debris, and broken buildings in concentric circles, it looks as though something underground collapsed fell into the water and took half the city with it.
What is left of the infrastructure is mostly stone foundations up to chest height with rotted or wind blasted upper walls and collapsed roofs of oriental style. The decorative founts along the edge of some roofs indicates the location was once wet. The palace is all but missing, with most of the main buildings swallowed by the landslide but the stables are mostly in tact, able to house a large number of steeds. The skeletons there indicate a bipedal, avian species of mount.
The Fehlari Ruins Fehlar was once a world renowned city, etched into the cliff faces of a massive canyon. Well known for its crystal and light displays even in the depths of the tunnels, it was a beautiful city inside and out. A large river once ran down the center of the valley, sometimes flooding to the bottom of the lowest bridges, and provided a ready source of fresh water. When the world fell into chaos and the river dried up, so too did the city.
Carved into rounded homes and arcing doorways, there is much artistry in the architecture - especially the bridges, jutting platforms, and archways that span the canyon at heights most would be find nausea-inducing. Few of the crystal displays remain in the open, however, as theft and greed and envy wracked the land. Dry but sheltered from the sun, along the walls of the empty river bed, some hardy plants still cling to life, having begun the long process of reclaiming the land.
Many skeletons can be found in rows in the larger caverns, arranged as if in a make-shift hospital. Rags of clothing confirm the idea - a plague had ripped through the city killing most of those who remained. By no means hominid in shape, the denizens appear to be reptilian, possibly avian, by their skeletons thought much more is difficult to discern.
It is in one of these sick rooms where ghosts linger and pain permeates the rock that Forge's gem lay abandoned.

The Trail of Spirits This would be a location created by the searching of Numbers, Trickery, Spirit Guide, Forest, and Lifewater as they cross the vast deserts of the world. The world is dead - it is a wasteland. With the visitation from these five gods, the land will received a definite boost to its recovery. However, being a desert planet now, it is bereft of life - both sentient and feral - and crowded with untended souls. As they travel, sustenance will be required and provided via Xun and Glyph, the souls will be sorted out by Cosine and Ankou, and Trickery will aid in both. Where they stop, they will build an oasis, a shrine to the dead and a waypoint for the living who travel here. This path, punctuated by the ruins they explore, the springs and fledgling forests, and the shrines they erect, will become known as the Trail of Spirits. Benefits and Goals A launch point for new cults for each of the gods involved In-game holy location for pilgrims to travel and pay hommage to the gods A new legend spun from the events of modern/current game rather then from Ages Past We need a map - Xun's springs can be done once only every few days, which is good for spacing on the search How many stops on the trail? at least 2 ruins, 3 shrines? The place where Forge's gem is should be a sort of destination At each watering hole a shrine to the dead could be erected, warded by numbers and trickery, blessed by lifewater and forest Ankou settles/shepherds the spirints, Cosine soothes them with her joygasm ability, Xun and Glyph bless the land with life, and Trickery helps ward/confound intruders The residual power from the gods working together would leave a bit of an imprint at the location, the succor for souls and living beings alike

Proposed Itinerary 1 Group RP - Getting together/travelling to the world, initial impressions 1 Group RP - Travelling, getting lost, discovering the vast devastation, finding nothing 1 Group RP - Spotting the first ruin, long way off, first wellspring/oasis, idea of leaving shrines for the spirits and oases for pilgrims, construction of the first shrine Solo RPs (one per character) - Arrival at and searching of the ruins, no gem, but a map of the land is found 1 Group RP - Following the map, stopping occasionally for an oasis/waterhole (off screen, mentioned IC), dealing with the desolation and the frustration of finding nothing but bones and death. No sign of the gem - continue to follow the 'trade route' denoted on the map 1 Group RP - Arrive at the city Forge is to be found in, split up and search, find the infirmary that Coyote died in, drawn to the stone and it is discovered Solo RPs (one per character) - reflection on the travel? DONE

Questions? Comments? Idears?
If we go by the itinerary I proposed, and everybody gets 1000 words, that's 14 points from the journey alone!
And we'll have an interesting IC Location to add to the knowledge/location base of Edelsteine!

I am perfectly chill with all of the above and plotting to steal Skie's brain in order to have amazing ideas as well for reference <3
But ! Well. I don't think it's a state secret that I plan to have Ankou grow on quest (if Ivy gets uneaten by RL). I don't have a solid set in stone plan for that reason, but I have mostly two goals in mind for my part of this :
1 - Don't take the whole dang thing over even if I have two characters in this. PLEASE SMACK ME if this happens. Ktnx.
2 - Make it fun for everyone. That's the point ;D
Like I said, I don't have much planned. I tend to be more reactive instead of having perfectly shaped plans for everything, but I figured I'd let you guys knows what I do have planned, and see if there was anything specific you guys wanted to see / happen that my characters can do.
We're going to a world that was blasted of life, and while Ankou is pretty much as his peak, power-wise, he fluctuates greatly. There will be a few oops moments (not constantly through because that would be a pain in the a**, both for me and you guys). The spirits are going to sense life where there was none only seconds before, and well, they are going to haul a** to investigate. I know Mista wanted to play with this and I figured Skie might want to, too ? Also by all means if you want to npc yourself some ghosts, feel free. I mean, we have a whole dang planet of dead people here. XD
Ankou is going to be overwhelmed for a bit when they first arrive and pretty much the whole planet starts to locate them and go toward them. The ghosts here can be curious, angry, whichever you guys will like ! It's perfectly up to you weither your characters can sense them or not, and how well they can. There's probably a few strong ones there and there (dead heroic mortals, most likely) but they don't have to sense OMG BUMRUSH if you don't want them to. Ankou's reactions will probably be enough to clue them in that SOMETHING's happening if you decide your god/ess can't sense spirits at all.
Ankou will get them in check once he recovers from the initial rush and will, for the most part, keep them at bay / keep them busy by looking for Forge's gem, but keeping ghosts away does go against his nature, and his power is fluctuating, so he will probably lose grip every now and then if you guys want to play more with this. He's going to be humming/singing often since his herding power is voice based. Don't worry, he doesn't break teapots. ;D
And that's pretty much all I DO have planned, Ankou-wise, beside introspective s**t and some weird little apparence flickers, but they're harder to do without having seen the final art, so... Xun will mostly be a little freaked out by the shitton of ghosts + dead land and tired from popping out wellsprings like candy. But he will bear it like a bawss.
If there's something you would like to have happen, let me know !

SkieBorne I must say I adore this idea! >> and I'm not the only one who calls Power 2 Joygasm, this amuses me. xd Read my mind really, I was thinking when I read about the hospital that her Joy power might be useful. Esp as like Ankou she's approaching deity. I was also thinking, if it's okay with you Zedre that after the Pythagoras incident and hanging around Kou too long, Cosine might be more intune with the spirits, nothing big just be able to realise if they're there or not ... a bit like a chill down your spine type thing? Her OCD need to log everything could be used too, she can keep a journey log/diary of the locations of shrines and happenings which could then become a scripture of some kind? Can't think of anything else right now.

As I told Skie last night- love this! Like Zedre I'm just gonna roll with it and see what happens. Planning never seems to work with Tien anyway since she just does what she pleases regardless. rofl She is not fond of creepy ghosties at all, but she'll get over the initial panic once it registers that they aren't going away anytime soon. As for the Trail of Spirits it sounds quite interesting. I shall find something for Tien to contribute. There are lots of ideas but nothing concrete yet. The only mental image I can conjure for Ankou singing is like that one scene from the LotR movies of Aragorn singing the song from 'Lay of Leithian'. Sadly it is only on the extended version of the Fellowship of the Ring. Oh look I found a video. At least I hope its the right video the speakers on my machine at work are terrible.ROFL. Joygasm. <3

midnight_medea Her OCD need to log everything could be used too, she can keep a journey log/diary of the locations of shrines and happenings which could then become a scripture of some kind? This is an excellent idea, especially for mapping purposes! She'd be a hell of a cartographer, I think. Also, Glyph will be OCD planting stuff so fair's fair. Travel time, I'm thinking 2-3 weeks, maybe 4? If a wellspring is made every, say, 7 days, that's 3-4 wellsprings and 3-4 Shrines. Plus the ruins they stumble upon

Sounds good to me!
I'll keep a IC Journey log in here for safe keeping.
>> though sadly I must go pass out now. *glares at timezones* Hopefully time difference won't affect the flow of things. I was telling Zero I'm on hols in the U.S in 4.5 weeks so I'll be on CST >> I think that's right. I'm going to Texas for a few weeks.
Wish I could swing by Canada but sadly splashed all my monies on plane tickets.

I think 3-4 weeks is good. It's also more realistic since Xun is a morph and wellsprings ARE meant to be hard as ******** to do for him at this point, so the timespan gives him time to recover and not be completely useless in between wellspring creations.
