{ ORP } The Forges

General setting: Deep, deep down, near the very base of the Clan settlement is a staircase that leads even lower, made of iron instead of marble. It leads to a giant, cavernous opening underneath where all the weapons and metals are forged and restructured. The area is entirely abandoned currently, all weapons and equipment stowed away, other than the sound of the lava floes, everything is very quiet.

1-20: There are small pieces of discarded jewels and remnants of something flat, a carved stone perhaps? You pick one up nearby to examine. OOC: You obtain TWO Four Clans points which you can redeem in OOCLY.

21 - 40: You see a few weapons lying around, swords, sparse amounts of armour, but most of the crafting seems to be centered around making ornate jewelry. Everything is locked away.

41 - 60: There is jewelry scattered around, but only scraps, a piece of unwanted metal, a few tools welding: you see something wedged in one of the tools.
OOC: You obtain ONE Four Clans point which you can redeem in OOCLY.

61 - 80: There is a large book on one of the tables that says "The Guidance of Death", but nothing else of interest. Bookmarked inside the book is a small flat slab of stone with a backwards red spiral on it.

81- 100: There is suddenly a loud ringing noise, but not much else.

Danny ran ahead of Rikki, beating him to the forge in her excitement. She didn't even bother with all the weapons and jewelry that were locked away. Albeit, she would probably go for them later, but that's so not what she was here for.

She wanted to play in dat lava. Though it gained her MANY annoyed looks, she dove straight in, giggling the entire time. If only Rikki could've come swimming with her- it would be so fun!

She basically just flopped around like a magikarp. Don't mind the stupid fire demon. 8|

Rikki did stop to look at the weapons that Danny ran past, however. Unlike the war isle, the weaponry and armor here was heavy. Some made out of the same metal as he pauldron, others quite obviously made out of sturdier stuff. It was impressive really, that they could wear armor this intense. He couldn't imagine fighting in the immense amounts that they seemed to wear on top of swinging weighty swords. It was also a bit terrifying.

Far more bountiful was the jewelry. Rikki didn't wear much jewelry himself, and neither did Danny, but he could tell these were intricate, valuable pieces. And if he recalled correctly, he often saw a lot of the horsemen wearing such pieces. He considered whether they could be status momentarily, but then realized they could just like shiny things. Not unlike his demoness.

He couldn't roll around the lava like Danny could, so he took a few more moments to examine the weapons and jewelry and then move on.

The next thing that caught his eye was a huge book. It was massive, and made Rikki's head hurt just thinking about reading it. But he noticed a weird gape in the pages. When he flipped the book open, he found another of the strange disks he'd been finding everywhere. He held it up for Danny to see.

"Hey look, I found another one of these."

Satisfied and thoroughly soaking, Danny rose out of the lava, sending the orange substance dripping off of her, cooling and hardening even on her skin. Pretty soon she had black patches of the stuff cracking and falling off of her, even when she went to Rikki's side.

"Neat," she said, sitting across the table from him, taking it out of his hand for a moment to look at it, and then (surprisingly) returning it to him.

She sat and watched Rikki flip the pages for a while until she got bored and started rummaging through the horsemen's stuff. Scrap metal, jewelry. A lot of it looked pretty useless to Danny. Was there some point of all this that she was missing?

She picked up a set of tweezers and found a token wedged in between the prongs. "Hey look I got one too!" she said happily. "I like this island already!"

Rikki kind of shadowed Danny. Figuratively of course. He still couldn't shadow shift, which was upsetting. She would walk and peer around, and he would brush patched of dried lava off her skin. It was a good dynamic really. Until there was a loud ringing that made Rikki kind of freak out a flail. It left his ears buzzing for a few minutes afterwards.

"What was that...?" It was unpleasant, whatever the hell it was.

Danny began to notice that all of the really cool things were locked up, out of the reach of public hands. Really it made sense with all of the students here, but Danny was still a little miffed. She wanted to swing that neat sword around!

Rikki had a little ... freak out behind her and Danny turned around, watching him look around. Her hands slid up his cheeks and she said, "Rikki? You okay? I'm right here..."

Though it might've been odd to some people how calm she was, Danny was sadly growing used to panic attacks like this. The trials of death had been harsh on them both, and she had simply grown used to calming Rikki down.

He gave her a strange look, brows furrowed. "You didn't hear that?" He dabbed at his ears with the tips of his fingers, making sure he wasn't bleeding from the ear drums or something. The jack...

He stumbled around a bit after that, giving the weapons one last longing look, but he couldn't help still thinking about that ringing.

[Entering]

Willow's tail twitched as they headed to the forges. She was pretty sure Roch would like this area. "So... the Forges are kinda loud. But they make a lot of weapons and things down here."

She explained very well expecting any minute for her ears to be assaulted with the clanging of the metal. However, it never came.... Willow paused at the bottom of the stairs and stared.... "Weird..."

He listened as he followed her. Then said the first stupid thing that came to his mind, which was typical. "Damn, you got some SERIOUSLY sensitive ears there," he said. "Seems pretty quiet to me." He caught sight of Danny and Rikki, but was more intent on looking around. His eyes fell on the jewelry, and he moved closer, looking at it. Welding tools, scrap metal--

He leaned down, seeing something wedged in one of the tools and reached out, pulling the item from it and slipping it into his pocket. "Huh," he said. "I have to sharpen my own weapon. A place like this would be awesome to have around.

Willow chuckled and rubbed the back of her neck. "Well... it was super loud last week. And yeah... I had to borrow Lizzy's headphones when we went to the Arcade to muffle some of the noise."

She rubbed her ears just thinking about the noise. She moved over to a table that had a book on it. There wasn't anything else interesting so Willow flipped through it. "Interesting..." She wasn't really reading it expecting that she probably couldn't understand a word it was saying but noticed a small flat slab of stone with a backwards red spiral.

Roch kept looking at the tools, figuring that where there was one shiny, there was likely to be another. Sure enough he reached out, grabbing the second from another tool.

"So it gets really noisy down here--metal forming and everything?" he said. "I'm seein' more jewelry items than weapons. Did somethin' change since you were here?" he asked Willow, glancing over at her.

Willow shrugged, looking a little... bewildered. "I saw a scythe that I'm pretty sure belongs to Asia. The heir? I mean it's only speculation but it looked new."

She was looking now too.... "I wonder if their meeting thing.... has.... them arming......" She paused, "Oh Jack, I hope it's not anything that involves weapons." The Byakko suddenly looked a little pale as she found more flat stones....

Glancing over at the tiger ghost ghoul, Roch hesitated, wondering how he should put it. "They have their own scythes," he said slowly. "They can summon them like reapers do. That might be why it looked new." He headed over to the book she'd been looking at and flipped through it, finding another token and slipping it into his pocket. "But... you realize... these guys aren't peaceful. Even Conquest, they got these pictures of them killing humans by the masses."

"The... weapon isn't the problem..." She started when suddenly a loud ringing happened her tail fluffing out as she looked around with a hiss.

"Nhhh......" She shook her head moving closer to Roch so she could speak without being over heard. "If they kill all the humans, it'll be us next." She keeps watch as she speaks. "The last vision we saw.... the horsemen.... they had our kind in cages... killing us for fear.... because all the humans were dead."

She explained closing her eyes for a moment. "They're killing innocents... When we should be focusing on..... those with weapons."

Danny patted Rikki's cheek and said, "Yeah, you're okay." She laughed and turned around, continuing to peruse the scrap metal. While Rikki was bearing with her and being a great boilfriend, Danny was busy not even noticing that her boilfriend was upset.

She saw Roch somewhere behind Rikki, but he was talking to a ghoul and Danny figured he was busy. For the moment, she was just going to play with scrap metal.

"You think the horsies like us?" Danny said, playing with a piece on the table that was L-shaped. We might have a resurgence of token-town soon.
