The pleasant spring weather was perfect for a day out in the sun. Kallis was especially glad since the winter had been one full of wet snow. She was happy to finally have the sun's warmth back. Even better was that there wasn't a cloud in sight; chance for rain is zero!
Kallis ran her way through various fields of grass and flowers until she came upon a lake. Perhaps she could try fishing. A cat should know how to fish! Silently she crept up on the water, expecting the whole thing to run in fear if it spotted her, before raising her paw in the air.
She waited for what seemed like a long time before a fish finally came into her field of vision. Quick as a whip, her paw dashed into the water, claws extended, but she accidentally flung the fish farther than she intended. Kallis watched her prey sail across the sky toward a willow tree she had not bothered to notice before. She sighed heavily before making her way toward the tree, curious as to what became the fate of her fish.

Curtis herat something flopping around near his tree. He slowly stretched then plopped down on the ground slowly walking to what turned out to be a fish. "Where did you come from...." He looked around and seen a feline coming towards the fish. He decided to play a trick, he could tell it was a she, and that she was very pretty. He picked up the fish and ran to his tree, then jumping into thr branches. He wondered is this would make her come after him? He hoped so, it had been a very long time since he had been around the opposite sex, and he was lonely.
His tail wagged , in wait of this fem, He didn't see what color of eyes she had, but he guessed they were pretty, I mean it is a female, though he had seen some really ugly felines out there. Some were even zombies. But he didn't judge other people, even if he called them ugly in his mind, he never acted like they were. He flexed his claws while waiting.

Kallis was keeping her sights on her destination, the willow tree, when she saw movement. She frowned as she realized her poor fishing attempt had been witnessed. Kallis had thought she been alone but now she was blushing in embarrassment. They better not make fun of me... Suddenly the stranger grabbed up Kallis's fish and then went up into the tree. Her shame was completely forgotten and replaced with irritation.
"Hey!" Kallis said as she picked up her speed. "I'm pretty sure that's my fish!" She was now at the base of the tree and as she placed her forepaws on the trunk, she sunk her claws into the bark. "You better give me it back or I'm coming up there after you." Kallis did not care that the stranger above her was a fellow cat. In fact, that gave her even more reason to be upset. They might actually eat her fish!

Curtis looks down in surprise. He puts the fish down on the branch. "Finders keepers!!" He said and stuck out his tongue, then started laughing. "I'm just kidding" He jumped down, and plopped the fish down in front of the female. "Sorry, I should have known better, fish just don't fly outta nowhere. That's quite a talent there, you must be very strong to flip the fish that far!" He bowed his head. "My name is Curtis, it's a pleasure to meet such a lovely lady. I haven't seen you around, and believe me, if I seen you, I would remember such a pretty face." He sat and smiled at her.

Kallis's legs tensed, ready to propel herself up the tree, as soon as the other started laughing. She stopped, however, mid spring when the male suddenly landed beside her. "Oh... Good." Kallis said a bit confused. She carefully detached her claws from the trunk and place one foreleg in such a way as to block the stranger's path to her fish.
The male's strange way of complimenting her added to Kallis's confusion. She was torn between being embarrassed and being offended. "Yeah, you should have known better." She knew at least where she stood on that part. "It takes a lot of patience to catch a fish, y'know..."
"Y-yeah, I'm new here." The embarrassment was wining out and Kallis's cheeks were starting to flush. "The name's Kallis." She could feel that she was blushing so she stared hard at the fish below her arm. It gave her a thought as to how to change the topic from her to something else. "Thanks for giving me back my fish, by the way. Most other cats probably would have eaten it right in front of my face..."

"Well I'm not a normal cat, most cats only think of their selves, but I always think of how a female would feel." He cleared his throat. "Tho I guess I do that to males too..." He forgot he liked both girls and guys, but at this moment, his thought was on the pretty young fem. " What a pretty name, Kallice, I wonder if it has any meaning?" He sighed. "My name is very boring, I really dislike my name. Wish I could change it." Shrugs. "Oh well." He sat in front of Kallice, "Do you have plans for today? Because I'm free if you would like to hang out, but I understand if you don't want to, most cat's don't like company."

Kallis nodded, agreeing easily with Curtis. "Yes. Most are very selfish. But it's a .... 'dog eat dog' world." She nearly choked just saying that phrase. Why wasn't it easy to make a cat equivalent? Kallis hated dogs and hated even having to mention them in passing.
Kallis was pulled from her attempts at making a cat phrase as she heard more compliments from Curtis. "Err... Thanks? I'm not sure, really. It's the last thing I remember my parents telling me; my name." Kallis's nose scrunched up as the male complained about his own name. "Can't you change it? Unless your family is keeping you from doing so. Still, you're an adult, are you not?" Her head tilted to show her confusion before she realized he was now asking her hang out with him.
Truth be told, Kallis hated that she was alone. She missed all her sister and brothers. Still, his compliments made her feel uneasy... "Al-Alright. I don't have any plans, so.... we can hang out, if you want." Kallis was trying her best to hide the blush that came with accepting his invitation. Why'd she have to act so weak in front of a strange male? "What would you like to do?"
