It was quite some time before Riley had gathered up her friends and decided to take a trip over to Invi's place of residence. It was an ornate building, but she approved of the lack of useless decor to clutter up the building with. She held Malodore's hand and moved closer, gently rapping her knuckles against the door while her feet already moved to pull her shoes off, leaving her socks on while she slipped into one of several waiting pairs of sandals.

Malodore was feeling quite a bit better than it had during its first meeting with Invictus - holding Riley's hand helped, foolish though it might seem. She was its anchor, a reminder that it was here and now and did not have to be prone to foolish past ways of thinking and feeling. It squeezed back. "Do you suppose they have pockets in their sleeves as well? They are so voluminous, surely they must."

Sammy stood behind the couple arms crossed purple eyes ablazed and shifting rapidly as she took in every inch of the Horsemens residence. It really was night and day between War and Conquest, very interesting.

"Seems like they would. Convenient definitely, but please forgive me if I trip over my feet every other step when I first put one on." She bent over tugging the laces of her boots free before slipping them off to grab a pair of slippers. "We aren't too early are we?"

It would not be Invictus, but rather a young looking attendant who answered the door when it was knocked on, her eyes wide and curious as to who was visiting the household. While dressed as nicely as everybody was, the young ghoul would not have been mistaken for a sibling of the heir - her hair was simply black and she lacked horns, unlike Invictus.

Still, she offered a bow to the company before she stepped back, opening the door as she did so.

"Master Invictus has been expecting you." she said, "He is in the room that is at the end of that hallway.." she explained, pointing towards a hallway off towards the left.

Like the outside of the building, the inside could have been considered modestly decorated, yet everything that was out on display in any way seemed to hold either status or some sort of sentimental value. Yet it was still of the same sort of origin as everything else - little details such as the inverted spiral or small carvings that matched certain decals and paintings that had been littered about town could be found inside of the building.

It was very airy as well, the interior wall almost entirely missing, instead opening out into what seemed to be an open garden with a koi pond and several very immaculately kept trees, offering scenery as the hallways of the building were traversed.

At the end of the aforementioned hallway there was a door which had been left ever slightly ajar and inside the Heir would be found.

Malodore's question and Sammy's answer had Riley chuckling quietly at the curiosity. As soon as the door opened, however, Riley's entire demeanor changed. She looked as though something lifted within her, forcing a gentleness into her. She bowed graciously to the ghoul who greeted them, and followed silently - but her hand remained ever present in Malodore's, squeezed just slightly as if using it to remain grounded.

When the arrived at the door, she pushed it open, and held it for her comrades, letting them enter first.

Malodore slid its hooves carefully down the hall, to make sure it wouldn't mar the flooring. It tilted its head to one side and then the other as they proceeded down the hallway. It did seem somewhat austere, given Invictus' status - or perhaps a better word was restrained. Hm...

Riley opened the door for them; only then did it detach itself from her and enter, eyes lifting to seek the Heir.

Sammy offered the ghoul who opened the door a happy smile, or least the best one she could manage while feeling mixed emotions of being both humbled and terrified all at once.

Where the others moved ahead she stalled for just a moment looking towards the pond. "I like that little pond..." She mumbled softly, "I never thought I'd feel... peaceful here." She turned moving so slip along after the others in the slippers offered at the door before moving through the door bringing up the rear quietly.

Purple eyes wide and flickering with a mix of fear, excitement, and hesitation.

The attendant seemed to follow after the group anxiously as they moved through the halls, pausing to look out at the pond when Sammy commented on it.

"It was a gift from the Young Lord." From? Not for?

As it was, the building should have homed four or five people easily, but not even another attendant walked by during the venture to the room in question which, on the other side of the door, seemed to perhaps be the most grand thing seen thus far:

It was as though they'd just walked into a closet that even the most ghouliest ghoul would have fainted from sheer excitement to be inside. Everything was organized painstakingly. Colors, colors with similar patterns, longest length to shortest amongst colors and patterns... if anybody had ever suspected Invictus of being OCD, this closet said enough about that. It could have taken days or months for someone to organize the way this was.

There was even, oddly, a division between masculine and female wardrobe.

Once the three had stepped in, the attendant made a point of stepping in as well, bowing deeply to the heir.

"Master Invictus, Mistress extends her apologies for not being available to greet your guests, but would like for you to spend some time with her this evening for tea." she explained, almost sounding embarrassed by the first portion of her news.

However, Invictus seemed to have expected it.

"Thank you, Michiko. Please tell her that unless the usual arrangement has changed, I will be there at the same time I always am." There was a warmth in his tone - clearly he was fond of the individual that the attendant spoke of.

Invictus seemed to stand, drawing his hand over a very particular gold and red piece that was amongst the feminine clothing, a thoughtful look on his face which seemed to only change when Michiko left. The Heir offered them a bow in greeting. "I am pleased to see you were able to find this place." It probably wasn't hard for them to ask 'Where does the second-in-charge pony live?' and get pointed that way, but still.

Invictus must have known that the interaction between himself and his attendant would absolutely flood Riley with curiosity. Whether he expected her to act on it or not would remain a mystery, for she remained calm and aloof until he had completed his conversation with her, and only then moved up to hold her hands out for him.

And I am pleased that you have allowed us this rare honor to come. Thank you, Invictus. She turned to look at the array of clothing, seeming pleased with the wonderful choices they would have, before turning back to her host. This place is lovely. Is this your usual residence?

"Thank you for the invitation," Malodore murmured, head turning this way and that; its neck was getting a lot of exercise, lately! The clothing was so beautiful, of such lovely manufacture, but... "I, ah. My wings may prove troublesome, and my shoulders..." It tapped ruefully at the pointed bone spurs that jutted up from its shoulderblades. "But they are lovely..."

It started to move towards one side of the room, then stopped. "Ah... what... these are gender-coded, are they not...?" It left the rest of its question unspoken.

From? Her eyebrow quirked up ever so slightly, was this is home or something else? Honestly she wasn't sure what now. "Who ever it was for, they're lucky. I wouldn't mind something like that myself."

When they finally entered the room, her other eyebrow popped up, she was floored honestly at all the colors, types of clothing, just everything in general was a sensory overload almost of color and texture. She was tempted to take a picture then and there to send to Siddie, but she might be a bit jealous of that.

And never let her live down the fact she was playing dress up with a Heir.

Eventually she turned towards Invictus nodding politely. "We aren't keeping you from prior plans at all are we? Who ever this lady is you seem..." She paused for a moment, "Fond of them." She glanced at Riley tilting her head some before going back to the horsemen, "Not to be rude but, I've never seen you smile like that back at Amity."

"Do not worry of your wings causing problems. If it will help you, the lady of the House also has wings, so you might more conveniently find something convenient towards that end amongst her things." he explained.

"Yes, they are organized in such a way so that myself and the Lady of the House do not have to spend too much time figuring out what belongs to whom." he explained, "Our morning routine has made it such that it was simply more convenient to keep our things together - however, I have asked of her about lending a few things should you be inclined towards her things more than my own."

So at least it sounded like they didn't have to be shy about things.

"If I had prior plans with this individual, I will confess that they would have come first for me. She is one of the few people I would fully raise hell for, after all." There was more of that fondness - in fact, it was so obvious that he was just overwhelmed with love[/i for this individual that he couldn't even mask that.

Without meaning to, Riley's curiosity felt sated. She released Invictus and immediately drifted towards the female wardrobe, her hands brushing across them gently. Her eyes flickered to the heir for a moment, crinkling before they looked away. Such a lucky woman she is, then. I could only hope to meet your mother, one day. If she deemed me worthy of her presence.

The mere idea that the wardrobe they were given the chance to choose from came from Invictus himself made Riley want to smile. High favors, indeed. She moved through the wardrobe, until she returned to the heir, and her hands folded neatly behind her back.

Everything you offer is perfect. It would be impossible for me to choose. Do you have a favorite? She spied a swath of red, and held it out for Malodore to see in case it was interested.

"My mother is simply a busy woman, that is all. She does have certain responsibilities that came with being the mother of the eldest son of his Imperial Majesty." It was striking how much more stiffly Invictus referred to his father. Yet perhaps it was also unsurprising as well.

"If she was available I am sure she could have been here to greet you, instead of Michiko." Not to say Michiko was unfavorable, it was simply how his mother was.

Still, Riley's inquiry about what his opinions of what he felt she should wear actually did seem to get some serious thought from the heir. "Perhaps something in gold or orange. Both would accentuate your lovely hue strikingly." Plus purple and gold was simply a regal color combination in his opinion. Although, gold and red seemed to be slightly more favored by the heir in terms of personal wear.

"Though it would also depend on how many layers you would like to wear as well. I realize not everybody has the luxury of having time to prepare themselves each morning."

"I have to say, we owe your mother thanks to for opening her wardrobe up to us as well." Slowly she moved down the lines of clothing tilting her head this way, then that way, she honestly wasn't sure what to pick out. This was Siddie's place, maybe Shehk's, correction. Junko would have been the best bet for this. She almost wished the three ghouls where here to help her selection out.

"Michiko pointed out that the pond I saw on the way in was a gift from you, was that to your mother? It's lovely from what I saw." She slowly gravitated towards Invictus' more masculine robes, her blackened fingers gently touching each outfit she was interested in as if it was delicate glass. The last thing she wanted to do was ruin one of his outfits.

"Layers and time, being dead I could wear as many as I please and no one would have a clue how long it took me to get dressed. Siddie likes to fuss when she has to spend the morning getting ready in a rush while I was dressed for the day hours ago on a whim because I was bored that night." She glanced at Maladore grinning, "I'm sure the Doc agrees that never sleeping has it's wonderful benefits."
