General Setting of the Obstacle Course

The open obstacles are located just a little away from the dormitory quarters. They span a fair chunk of the untamed portion of trees that populate the isle, littering the branches with nets, sharp spears, arrows, weapons, every single trap and surprise that you could possible think of. The goal of the obstacle is not to pass it as there seems to be no visible beginning nor end, but to simply get as far as you can.

It was so close to the dormitory that she really had no excuse not to try the obstacle course. Not to mention the notion of testing her mettle against the War obstacles made her thoroughly happy. She didn't really want to go alone, though; not because she was scared, but because it would be a lot more interesting if there was someone to talk to.

And she had really liked Kettil's owl. She looked forward to seeing them, given she had asked them after class if they would mind tagging along with her. Looked like her outings in the isle of Conquest, and now War, were really helping her with her social ineptitude. Well, kind of. She still had difficulty displaying normal facial expressions, at times.

While she was waiting for Kettil, Amarus got curious. She eyed the course over and over, until she eventually took a running start and made it all the way to the canopies. That was about when she heard a snapping sound, and got flung out of the entire obstacle course, right back to the beginning. She landed hard, at the front of the course, getting up and rubbing her muscles.

"I was not made to fly," Amarus muttered, trying to brush herself off and get back up on her feet.

Kettil and Endzela had been there for a small while before Amarus simply checking things out for the same reason the ghoul had - out of curiosity. They'd gotten quite a distance before they got to a bridge which didn't last long. There was a loud snap and the sound of a displeased owl screeching as Kettil fell as she took wing to try and avoid crashing onto the net in a way that might hurt her.

"KETTIL! SEE! THIS IS WHY WE WAIT," Endzela called out as she watched her student squirm and claw at the net while ... laughing amusedly at her distress and his own misfortune.

It was going to take him a while. Endzela tried to pull at parts of the net as she flew, "Heeelp~. Over here please!?"

[[OOC: I'M SO SORRY ; A; I had to write a final, I'm not the brightest OTL It took me 8 hours to do =_=]]
For a second time, Amarus rushed the course, making it fairly far and-- same jacking trap. As she flew overhead again, it was hard not to see Endzela and Kettil. Mid-air, she waved at them and called out some kind of hello.

Still sore about having flown through the air thanks to some kind of trap catapult, Amarus tried to figure out how to get back to Endzela and Kettil, as he was somewhere within the net. How... could she get over there? Amarus sort of... edged around, and then thought about it. Maybe she could do the lasso thing. She tied a lasso with a vine she tore off the obstacle area (she hoped no one was looking) and then made the lasso knot. That part was easy. The best part about this was she didn't actually intend to lasso Kettil, which was always the hard part anyway.

Instead, she looped the lasso around something that seemed fairly sturdy, and then dropped the free end down to Kettil. "At least you didn't end up in the air," she said, frowning faintly. She seemed to perk up when she looked up to see Endzela in flight. "Hello, avian friend. Do you have to follow him with everything he does? It seems like you would get injured fairly fast."

At least it wasn't Amarus she was following. Amarus had a knack for winding up in terrible, terrible situations. And then not exactly getting out, or barely.

Kettil settled in the netting for the moment beaming a grin up at Amarus as if this was all completely the natural order of things. When she expressed concern he just laughed, "If anything she talks sense into me so that it isn't as bad as it could be or even should be," he smiled as he took the free end of the lasso so that he could start climbing out.

Endzela moved to land nearby the ghoul with a small huff, "Sometimes it doesn't work out so easily," she muttered to Amarus, "I don't know what I would have done if you didn't happen to be here just now."

"Shhh, I'm fine and so are you. Amarus is glad to help!" Kettil said as he pulled himself up.
