She was growing annoyed by her brothers constant attempts to get her to meet men. No, she was not interested in a dim-witted, stupid, smelly fox that barely could string together a coherent sentence. No, she wasn't that desperate, despite what her brothers thought. She could and did live happily single, she didn't need anyone. Thank you. Being a nomad worried her father and mother, and being single worried her brothers. It seemed her life was bent on inconveniencing her family.
Anat seemed the only one to completely understand that she was a capable person, and he was the one person she missed the most. Anat, her dear brother. Quieter than Abel and Tsubasa, and more understanding... Perhaps she'd go back and see him? This little patch of grass and flowers was starting to get boring, anyway. Anyways, she missed having a proper conversation, just a bit.

Tybalt made his way to the clearing he had found the other day. He was still studying the effects of the lavender flower on moods and he needed a few more plants for his experiments.
Blinking, he stepped out from between the trees and into the sun. "Ah." he said, spotting a large patch of flowers about halfway into the clearing. Trotting over, he began gathering as many flowers as he could hold. Turning to go back home, he spotted a female that was staring into the clearing. Tybalt briefly felt silly holding a bundle of flowers in his mouth.

Her head raised when she saw movement, spotting a male holding flowers. Briefly, she considered laughing, however her mouth stayed shut. She didn't laugh, merely viewed him. What was a male doing with flowers? Hm. No, it wasn't good to judge others based on appearance. Was her prayers being answered, though? Someone that could give her a proper conversation? Was this someone that could speak to her with intelligent conversation, or someone interesting? The flowers themselves were interesting.
".....As much as I'm flattered, I'd have to decline the flowers." An attempt at a joke. It sounded awkward from her, sighing lowly. She was never good at joking, that was Tsubasa's field, not hers.

Tybalt flicked an ear, his music note earring jingling gently. He seriously doubted that the female was serious and, considering her knew what the scene probably looked like from an outsider's view, he had to grin. Lowering his head, he dropped the flowers, trying to keep them in a bunch as much as possible. "As much as your rejection hurts my heart, miss," he joked back, "I'm slightly relieved. I need these flowers for an experiment." Tybalt gave her a small smile to show he was joking.

Hm? Her joke hadn't failed that badly? Watching him, an eyebrow was quirked, tail flicking idly. An experiment? Now that sounded interesting. She was almost to tempted what it was, but she had been raised to not butt into another's life. It was considered rude, or so she was told. She didn't see what was rude about being curious, to her being rude meant insulting someone or pestering them continuously.
She watched him, a slight smirk on her mouth that had gone unnoticed by herself. Considering a response, the vixen flicked her tail again, nodding. "I saw a huge patch of flowers behind those trees, they seem to be a different species. You may like those." She pointed a paw at the direction behind the male, being helpful for once.
"I also know how to make something to carry the flowers in, so your mouth is free." She added.

Tybalt looked towards where her paw was pointing, but didn't immediately see either of the plants he was looking for. "What type of flowers, do you know? I'm specifically looking for lavender and vanilla. Well, to be more specific, I want the beans of the vanilla plant, not the flowers." Tybalt replied, turning back to face the other fox. He had his own patch that he harvested, but having more than one viable patch would be very helpful
"I would love to learn a better way to carry the flowers I collect. Sometimes they bruise before I can get back to my cave. Depending on the type of flower, it ruins them for the experiment."

Head turning to view him, she shrugged briefly.
"I do not know vanilla, but I do know lavender." She responded with, giving him a glance before glancing off in the distance. She knew of a patch of lavender, perhaps she could direct him there. She didn't have much else to do. Ear flicking, she tilted her head back, grabbing a huge leaf from a tree and setting it down. She grabbed another, set it ontop of it in another direction, and then two others, strengthening the bundle. Gently lifting the leaves into her mouth, she approached the male and set it down gently.
"If you want, I can take you to a lavender patch. Along the way is my temporary home, I have something there I need to use on this bundle so the leaves stick together and don't fall apart. I also want to get cloth to put on the outside. It can hold the flowers and not drop them, and be safe from the elements." She mused, flicking her tail.

"That's fine, miss. I have a patch of vanilla that I frequent. And I would appreciate it if you could show me the lavender patch you know. I dislike taking too many blooms from only one place." Tybalt replied with a smile. He studied the contraption she dropped at his feet and nodded. "That looks quite useful. Thank you very much...."
Tybalt blinked, realizing he still didn't know her name and he hadn't given his either. "Excuse me, let me introduce myself. I'm Tybalt."

"You're welcome." She mused back, raising an eyebrow as he introduced himself. Tybalt? Not a name she often heard, but she liked it. Gathering her thoughts, having been distracted by attempting to map out where her home was and where the flowers were. Red eyes blinked, tossing hair from her eyes as she stood.
"You're welcome." She responded, considering him with narrowed eyes. Deciding to give her name, she flicked a light ear, padding ahead. "My name is Nobu." She swore if he said that was usually a boys name.... she'd go flying at him.

There was a soft warning in her tone when she said her name. Tybalt didn't know why, exactly, but he assumed that she probably got teased over her name, or something. Well, he'd simply not tease her. He wasn't much for teasing in the first place, so that was pretty easy. "It's nice to meet you, Nobu. You have an interesting name. Any special meaning behind it?" Tybalt asked. He had a hobby of learning name entymologies. They served little to no purpose in his daily life, or experiments, but they were fun to learn.
"My name means 'brave and bold' which doesn't really fit with my personality, really. I'm more into research than taking on a fight." he said, shrugging nonchalantly. He had no want or need to live up to his name.

She listened quietly, stepping over a root here and there. A frown touched her lips, briefly, head tilting back to consider him briefly before responding.
"You can be brave or bold without taking on fights." Her father was, actually. Well, he did fight at times, but he never liked to, and he rarely sought them. Either way, the male was shortcoming himself, probably. She didn't really know him that well to judge. She suddenly laughed as she realized the real reason for her name, tail twitching in appreciation.
"A stretch, or prolonging. My parents have been wanting kids for so long, but things kept happening to push it back."

"Maybe, but I'm more of the quiet and thoughtful type. I'd rather find a way to help heal or relax a fox than fight or bluster my way through an argument." He said, smiling faintly. "I don't really see that as a bad thing, myself, just commenting on the dichotomy of my name meaning and my personality." Tybalt shook his head, his earring tinkling lightly. It wsn't like he thought of himself as a coward, simply non-confrontational. He didn't want to heal wounds he'd caused himself.
Tybalt smiled at the vixen. "Oh? Well then they must have wanted you very badly. Very poignant meaning." he said the last softly to himself and nodded. "I think you're very lucky to have parents who gave such thought to your name."

A slight smirk touched her face, head nodding as she tilted her head back to view the male. Her parents had thought long and hard on their names, though she wasn't sure if it was because they wanted them to mean anything in particular, or rather if they simply wanted the names to ring properly in their heads. Either way, she liked to think her parents were smart and had given their names based on the meanings. She clicked her tongue quietly, spotting the earring curiously before responding.
"My parents had been trying for many years for kids. It was almost a question if my father was unable to have kids. I wonder what it was like to suddenly have six little kits ruining anything you considered peaceful when you thought you'd never have the chance to chase after fluffballs that clearly have no intention on listening." She laughed, as if this was a topic her mother often brought up. Shai was known for fretting at times, she could imagine her father panicking as he wondered if he had waited too long to have kids, or if perhaps he was unable. She could also imagine her fathers face when the BCRs arrived, filled with immense joy and relief, mixed with apprehension. Her tail twitched, mouth twitching in a smirk.
"I like your name." She admitted, smelling the scent of lavender approaching.

He listened to her talking about her family, especially her father, and could hear the fondness she held for him. It sounded as if her family was close and it caused Tybalt a wistful smile. He wondered what it would be like to have a large family, and he wasn't going to even try to fool himself into thinking that wasn't one of the driving forces to joining a tribe.
"You childhood sounds like a lot of fun. And hectic." he said with a chuckle, joining her in her laughter. "You like my name? Thanks, I like yours as well." Tybalt grinned, a touch bashfully.
A small silence reigned before he continued their conversation, "I didn't have a large family. I had one sister, but we weren't close so...." he trailed off and shrugged. He did feel bad about not caring very much about the lack of familial bonds, but that was just how it was.

Head tilting, she nodded. She didn't know what it was like not having family, having always been surrounded by her siblings, parents, various cousins who visited, and at least Aunt Nuishan. Sometimes Aunt Runaiu or Aunt Unia would visit, but both women were tense at times with Shai. Nobu wasn't even going to try and figure out her family dynamics, it was far too complex and constantly shifting. She much rather focus on what was constant and immediate.
"Fun and hectic? Yes. I was always babysitting or helping my father bring my siblings in. I was deemed the mature one. It was my siblings who were the chaos." Anat was for sure one of the difficult ones... But for some reason Anat and Nobu had bonded closely unlike her relationship with her other siblings. She wasn't a fool to believe one didn't pick favorites even in family. Out of all her siblings it was Anat she bonded and favored the most.
"It isn't such a bad thing to be not close with family. I believe, anyway, that limiting family to blood is unusual in itself. I'm sure you'll find your family, large or not." She didn't sound like she was trying to comfort, more as if she was stating simple facts. Classic Nobu.
