Personality: A gentle-voiced young troll, her wide eyes and too-big blanket and clothes can make her seem delicate and soft, but Tierte is really a calculating, panic-driven and very judgmental person.
She doesn't often leave her cave, for fear of her life, and believes there to be conspiracies planning her death. As a lowblood, these may very well be true, but nonetheless it has taken over her life entirely. However, this does not make her a weak or feeble troll, by any means! Tierte is more than willing to snuff out any troll who dare wish her harm, and often works in her spare time on perfecting her technique with ropes and string. She's terribly stubborn in her suspicious beliefs. While this isn't to say she can't ever be convinced a troll isn't trying to kill her (she'll probably slowly make a handful of acquaintances she's not entirely sure would murder her by the time she's an adult), it will be a difficult and long process, painful for probably everyone involved because Tierte is straight-up convinced. She'll probably be stubborn in any other various beliefs she has, like choking being the best way to kill someone, and the mountains being the safest place on Alternia.
Tierte adheres to the hemospectrum quite religiously, if only because she knows for a fact highbloods are way more likely to kill her than a fellow lowblood is. If she met a highblood on the street, she would do her best to keep a low profile from them, so that they don't put her on their magic "murder list" (which is probably a thing they have, she's sure of it!) Other redbloods she is slightly more comfortable around, but really that just means she might actually stick around one after she's decided they can't kill her.
She enjoys learning things, because it's harder to kill someone if they know things. She watches documentaries on technology and other things like that (such as Troll Modern Marvels) to watch in her spare time to calm her down. Since she doesn't sleep much anyway, it's a good way to pass the time and still learn things to keep her safe. However, this lack of sleep does catch up to her, as after a few days with minimal rest she'll pass out, wherein her Lusus will put her into her recuperacoon to sleep. Those days before she gets some sopor, she'll be more likely to lash out and be aggressive with other trolls she meets.
Tierte keeps a lot of half-broken and half-assembled electronics and mechanical things around her hive in small piles. Fixing and taking them apart help relax her, as she enjoys working with her hands. If she were to hang out with a troll under the spell of that troll disease called "friendship" she would likely be constantly doing something with her fingers, even if it's just a kind of cat's cradle with her rope or clicking a gear back and forth, to keep her panic on the lowdown.
She sews her own clothes, both as a hobby and a necessity. They are not extravagant or colorful and are mostly bulky, too large, and hastily stitched and need constant fixing (which works in favor for Tierte). She sews intricate patterns on her blankets, however, since the stitching, as another thing to do with her hands, calms her.
She's a quiet troll, content to keep to herself, suspicious of so-called "friends" (what is that anyway, some kind of disease?), and she watches and listens before acting.
Strengths: - Dexterous: She's clever with her hands, and strong with them too. She's good at unhooking her knots and wrapping them around someone's neck with enough power to knock them unconscious with minimal effort, usually. Just a few minutes.
- Inquisitive: She likes learning. She likes taking things apart and knowing what they're made of and what they're all about and how they work. Tierte is like this with both trolls, and objects around her. Tierte knows stuff. And if she doesn't know it yet, she'll find out as soon as she's able to. She keeps on top of the climate in the world, and always knows who her enemies are...
- Resourceful: Tierte is a very resourceful young troll, her accumulated knowledge and hardiness has helped her survive the tough life up in the mountains. She has learned how to trap some of the various beasts in the mountain to use as food and fur to keep her warm, and to avoid a trip to the towns to actually buy food (that they probably poisoned anyway). She always carries around string, and she loves the many uses it can provide her.
Flaws: - Paranoid: Unfortunately, Tierte is wildly paranoid and is pretty convinced every single troll ever is going to kill her, or is planning on it. If they haven't yet, it means they're going to someday. Tierte's intense paranoia came about so harshly from a bad experience as a very young troll, where she was playing with another troll and they pushed her off the mountainside. Her ever-protective lusus was quick to grab her last minute, but ever since Tierte was sure the other trolls were trying to kill her.
- Introverted: Her paranoia also makes her terribly timid about ever leaving her cave-home, and only does so when she needs to get food or something. She doesn't like talking to other trolls, and gets flustered when asked questions, sure that they're wanting information from her to hurt her.
- High-strung: She easily tensed out and can quickly go from quietly regarding someone with suspicion to screeching and hissing that oh my god you're trying to kill me NOT TODAY before trying to choke someone out to escape their murderous clutches. She's always pretty jumpy and being around highbloods or trolls with weapons doesn't help.
Weapon: Garrote - Tierte carries around various lengths and materials of strings at her waist, and when she feels threatened she pulls them around her would-be assassin's neck and chokes them into unconsciousness (usually).
Appearance: Long messy hair that goes down to her ankles with bangs covering her eyes. Carries around a large gray blanket (her symbol can be on the blanket) which she is almost always wrapped in. Much in the style of this girl. She wears a red and black sweater far too big for her, and a loose pair of black pants. She doesn't wear shoes and instead wraps her feet in a thin cloth. Her horns are long and all twisty. She should be frowning.
Home: Tierte makes her home on Busthind mountain, hidden deep in a cave. It's the only place safe enough! She was a hardy little wriggler, and with the help of her Lynx Lusus, was able to get safely to her cave hive. Although she knows the mountains have their own danger, Tierte is much less afraid of the creatures and temperatures that want to kill her, because they don't plan to kill her the same way other trolls want to. So to her, less trolls = more safe!!
Lusus: Lynxmom is highly protective of Tierte and often helps alleviate some of her overtly suspicious behaviors so she can rest. Lynxmom will sit outside the cave-hive door for her during the day with the intent for Tierte to sleep, but she's usually too strung-out to. Lynxmom will also assure Tierte that the food she's purchased isn't poisoned so that she'll eat it, for instance.
Power: Nothin' but her crazies.
