THE Forges

General setting: Deep, deep down, near the very base of the Clan settlement is a staircase that leads even lower, made of iron instead of marble. It leads to a giant, cavernous opening underneath where all the weapons and metals are forged and restructured. The area seems very mildly occupied though, mostly by Clans members who are working away, though the noise is very loud, the consistent clink of metal against metal.

OOC: EVENT ROLLS AND PROMPT MECHANICS:

- When your student has arrived in this setting, you can CHOOSE to roll a 100-sided dice at any point in time. You can only do this twice per RP you make. Match your dice roll to the results below for a prompt/ small reaction that your student may discover. RP out results accordingly.

1-20: You notice all around you, just on the ground, lying there, pieces and pieces of untamed rare and precious stones and metals, just ripe for the taking. Its too bad a Clans member is watching you...
21 - 40: You see a few weapons lying around, swords, sparse amounts of armour, but most of the crafting seems to be centered around making ornate jewelry. All jewelry is interestingly enough, very organic shaped.
41 - 60: The few swords you see lying around seem to have been made ages ago, many of them dusted and unpolished. You do notice a very unique weapon though, a long black scythe, still glinting in the light as if just newly made. It reminds you of an Heir's weapon... (IF YOU HAVE NOT ENCOUNTERED AISA, then the last clause is void).
61 - 80: You hear two clans members talking with each other, the conversation is not heated quite yet, but they seem to be at a dispute with something involving "only a week's time will tell"
81- 100: There is suddenly a loud ringing noise. All clans member suddenly stop what they are doing and kneel on the ground, in prayer. A few minutes later another chime, and they continue to work again. (see below for horsemen point prompt)
- Horsemen point prompt! You also see something glint next to you, but is it just a trick of the light? Roll a 6-sided dice. If odd you obtain one horsemen point! You can only redeem a max of two from all prompt prps/orps your student is in per OOC 24 hours. You can redeem these here and here!

Telling Xiu to "lead the way" on an island that she had never been to was...not necessarily the best idea. Of course, if one were to ask the baku, she would insist that she was not lost, but that she was merely exploring. It just so happened that her "exploring" involved walking in a random direction and hoping for the best.

"I wonder what's down there," The baku stared down at the stairs, and then up at Shun. After a moment of thought, she took a step down, and then another. She assumed that they were allowed down there--otherwise, she was certain that there would have been a clan member to direct them away. As she made her way down the stairs (after ensuring that the reaper was still right beside her), the baku noted that the sounds were growing increasingly louder. "Do you...do you hear that, aniki?" It sounded like...metal striking metal, perhaps?

She bounced down the last few steps, eyes widening as she took in their new surroundings. "Where are we?" ...And why were there swords on the ground?

Following the Baku with his hands in his pockets, Shun looked around as they were in a rather interesting area.

"I believe we're in a forge," he stated, noticing a number of swords lying around. They all looked rather old an unused. It had him wondering just how often they took up arms in the first place. However, he soon noticed one long black scythe, that appeared to be fairly new. Quite frankly, it was reminiscent of what Aisa wielded, but it wasn't the same as far as he could tell.

"Many of these weapons have not been in use," he murmured quietly while looking around.

"Oh! A forge?" Hmm, yes, this did seem like a forge! Though in that case..."Does the Death clan specialize in weapons, then? Or...no, metal crafting?" Holding her hands behind her back, she took a few timid steps forward in hopes of watching some of the clan members at work. She was careful to keep out of their way as she examined the various weapons and armour that was laying around.

However, the more she looked, the more she realized that it seemed as if jewelry outnumbered everything else. Pendants, rings, bracelets--the baku was not only amazed by how beautiful they all were, but at the sheer amount that was lying around. From the looks of it, the clan members were working on making more as well.

"I never knew that the Death Clan had such an affinity for jewelry making. They're very talented, don't you think, aniki?"

"Mitsu did mention of their jewelry making. She said that each gem has a different sort of property that can come out when infused with Fear," he said while stepping closer to one of the tables to take a better look at some of the weaponry. Shun was trying to see if the weapons had any gems embedded into them.

Though, he paused as he heard a few clanmembers speaking in hushed tones to one another. Apparently something was happening within a week or so. Furrowing his brow, he tried to hear more, but that was about all he could pick up on. Shaking his head, he turned back towards the Baku.

"War crafted weapons too, but they didn't use metals. Their basic weapons were all made of stone, bone, and things found in nature."

If Dev enjoyed exploring, then she enjoyed exploring unfamiliar territory even more. It meant everything she saw and heard was new in same shape or form, which pleased her curious side. She didn’t even mind whether or not she became lost. Dev held no qualms about asking a horseman for directions back to the dorms. As long as she didn’t trespass into forbidden territory, she was good.

Her lips parted when she encountered a staircase. Dev’s mood perked up significantly at the discovery. Where did the staircase lead to? The cu sith searched around for a horseman, perhaps one that would possibly herd her away from it, but she found none. Hopefully that meant it was safe to descend the staircase. She grinned wolfishly, her shoes clacking against the stairs as she made her way toward the forge. The deeper she went, the more sounds she could pick up. It sounded like metal clacking against metal, but not that of fighting. Her interest was piqued further when she finally saw the Clans members toiling away.

Above the clatter, she managed to hear a loud ringing noise. Her eyes widened when she noticed the members suddenly stop their work and kneel to the ground. Confused and unwilling to be the odd one out, Dev clumsily followed suit.

As she knelt down on one knee, Dev noticed something nearby that glinted. She quirked an eyebrow, intrigued. Was it a trick of the light or was it something else altogether? She furtively glanced to her left and right before she leaned down to sweep up the object and pocket it for later. Dev smirked and stood up once the praying was finished.

Arynek decided to explore the Death Isle as what she did in the Famine Isle.
The first thing she wanted to visit was the place making strange loud noise when they were in the dorms. She followed the sound and found a big underneath cavernous opening. Arynek entered the place and looked around. The shadow ghoul noticed that there were stones and metals everywhere, in different kinds of shapes, ready for making various weapons. She believed this was a forge.

When she would like to take a closer look, she found a Death staring at her, she 'd better not touching anything.

Arynek wandered around the forge, looking for different kinds of made weapons. She could see some rotted, dusted swords lying in one place and some arrows on the other side. When she was a bit disappointed that she didn't spot any special weapon, she saw a long black scythe, glinting as if it was previously created. The shadow ghoul recalled she did see a similar weapon somewhere..... when and where did she saw that........She thought hardly.

Then, BLINK!
She knew it! She saw it when she offered her prayer item to Aisa this morning. There was a long black scythe being put next to her.
"Is it possible to be.....Aisa's Scythe?" She wondered.

Lingering in the forges for a little longer, Shun continued to look towards the one fresh looking scythe in the room. It had him wondering if there were others who wielded such scythes similar to what Aisa used herself. If this was the case, he also had to wonder just why it seemed that only one out of the many weapons here seemed to be in use.

Sometimes, when he was free, Alke would head down to the forges and harrass the horsemen working there. They were usually curt, quick to anger- he reasoned that it was because of the heat. After all, if he had to stay in a place like this for extended amounts of time, he would probably not be very happy either, a fact that he enjoyed rubbing in their faces. And as a result, sometimes, when he bothered them enough, he would walk away with scraps of metal and jewels, which he would then bring to Ylaria to trade in for gossip.

This time, it seemed the little halloweeners were out exploring, possibly taking a tour of the facilities. In fact, there was a familiar face- though really, it was the hair he first recognised her by- and her little friend was there with her as well, how adorable, they came in a pair, just like socks! Alke sometimes wished he could do the same with Medea, but his priestess was important, and therefore busy, and he could respect that.

Looking around some more, Shun soon noticed someone else wandering on into the forge. He recognized him. It was the horseman that had stopped by the student resting quarters on the first day.

The reaper glanced away for the moment to look at the nearby table, spotting the jewelry that Xiu must have been spotted a little while ago. There were a few other items around that had a more organic feel to them. Though, he didn't linger on the objects for long as he turned his attention back towards the one clansmen.

"I take it the clan has not had a need for these weapons in quite some time," he said quietly.

Aymet was not a fan of the heat of the forges, but he was intrigued by the metalwork. There seemed to be more going on here, as usual. A pair of horsemen stoking the forges were muttering to themselves. Whatever it was, they weren't happy about it. Aymet only caught a quick snippet of the conversation before they dropped it in the presence of a Halloweener: "Only a week's time will tell."

A.... deadline?

He did give a curious glance to the other horseman in the room not busy working with the heat or the metal. He didn't look busy, right now at least. Good enough excuse to bother him while he had the chance. "Do you work here?"

There were a few others filtering into the forges now. Two were faces that were only vaguely familiar--though she didn't know their names, she recognized them from the group of students they had been traveling in, and the third...

Oh! It was that clan member from before! Upon seeing him, Xiu instinctively lifted a hand to fiddle with her replacement flower hairclip. He wouldn't...? Oh, of course not. She was just being paranoid. Lowering her hand, she leaned over to Shun, her voice dropping to a whisper. "It's...uh, that's clan member from before! Should we say hi, or...?"

Trailing off, she settled for sending him a friendly wave before perking up at Shun's words. "Oh? Then why do they make them?"

"No," Alke grinned, running his hand along the blade. "Usually our fists are good enough, or sometimes we simply give our opponents a stare, and they fall over dead." In all seriousness, no- the death clan liked peace, prizing meditation over sparring. Life revolved around the priestesses, for the most part, and while there were those whose job was to protect, there had not been much need to go all-out on the offensive, not for a long time.

Perhaps that would change, perhaps not, either way that did not bother Alke. It was possible to be rusty, of course, if you were iron, but the death clan did not use such cheap materials, so to speak; should the opportunity rise they would be ready for it.

"And you, Reaper?" He tilted his head, eyeing the boy questioningly. "What use could you possibly have for weapons, as a student?"

Another voice piped up, and Alke turned to regard an undead student, with a fashionable skull over his head- and it had been fashionable, of course, many many years ago, perhaps he too had once worn skulls, though now he considered them overly flashy and garish, there were other, better ways to dress.

"I'm jobless at the moment, actually," he sighed dramatically and shrugged, looking for all the world like a sad alpaca. "I'm not quite looking for a babysitting opportunity, though..." or maybe he was, just for a different baby altogether.

"Because we can," he said patiently, as if speaking to a little child, as he turned to Xiu-Ying. The baku's presence brightened his mood considerably, like a ray of sunshine in the forges, the single cloud in a blue sky-- oh. Well. "Why do you have so many pretty flowers, when you don't need them?"
