There was little doubt in her mind what training game she wanted to play. Riley found herself sitting at a large table, waiting patiently for some of her fellow students to come play with her. This wasn't as exciting as a spar, except it was - because she'd been promised favors. A game that actually used favors as stakes.

Riley let out a little noise and tried not to seem too excited.

She'd chosen a nice, large table with several empty chairs, wrote down a crown for her first guess, and simply waited, with her chin in her hands. They would come to her, when they were ready.

((Feel free to sit down and make your first guess, when the game has at least three players I'll start rolling for our four rounds. <3 I'll probably do this every day around this time, unless requested otherwise~))

It had scuffed the boards, punctured walls, and generally made a nuisance of itself without meaning to. Malodore was currently feeling rather out of sorts, and rather discriminated against for being bony and pointy and not fleshy. So it was looking for the one reason why it wasn't currently regretting its choice of clan... and it found her before it destroyed anything else.

"Is this chair a relic of great age that my mere presence will irretrievably damage?" it sighed, giving one of the empty seats a dubious look.

The slimer roamed around with his hands in his pockets, and his head tilted down. He was hunched a little bit. Creeping through the crowd, and avoiding as many eyes as he could. His glow was barely visible, and even though his skill in translucency was almost non-existent, he was pretty invisible as he avoided eye contact.

A smile was on his face. Though it was more for appearances, he didn’t want to creep anyone out. Especially since he preferred roaming around with lidless eyes, people are often unnerved when he stares with eyes that didn’t blink.

The staring eyes eventually caught sight of a smaller crowd, a quiet and still one. They sat in a semi-circle and threw dice, exchanging little tokens between them. They muttered a few words between them, and people came and left, and those staring eyes watched a few games until he found an empty table.

He found that he was in a presence of some sort of demon or monster, sometimes, he found that some people often cross one group or another. He was intrigued by the tendrils on her head, and what seemed to be her near featureless face. He wasn’t even sure if it was female, though her shape suggested it.

“Hi,” greeted the ghost with a little nod of the head.

His eye then stopped to a peculiar pin; one most likely associated to their school. She must be important, he thought.

“I’ll go with crowns.” He liked it even numbers, they came in pairs and felt orderly. “Some-“

The ghost stopped as he found that he wasn’t the only one that sat in. His attention was fixated to the pin that he hadn’t noticed a masked figure sat around in the semi circle as well. He leaned back a little from his seat, absorbing the full image of the figure. He wasn’t sure what gender this one was either. Though it looked sort of feminine as well, maybe because of the small, waist, pronounced hip, and the dress it sort was wearing.

The ghost gave a nod to it as well, preferring to say nothing so he wouldn't insult it.

Amrita had watched the game for some time, overhearing a clan member explain it to oneof her distant classmates. Diplomacy...it sounded like an interesting game! Though she did have to wonder what type of people they were if they needed to play a game to get favours... Seeing Riley at the table actually surprised her; she somehow didn't expect her to be there, at a game that gave favours by chance. It didn't look like the game had started though, and she didn't feel too terrible about butting in.

"I think...they let you in, they should know what they were in for?" Amrita piped up thoughtfully; that was her take on it, she who was tracking dirt from the War clan all over this pretty isle with her bare feet. "But...if you're worried about the chair you could always sit on me, I'm easier to fix." Amrita offered completely innocently and without a second thought; it didn't want to ruin the chair? She was unfeeling flesh.

"And uhh...Hi Riley, Hi Mal, and...Hullo, I'm Amrita~"
The Vetala gave a little nod to the ghost whom she did not recognize, before sitting down to mull over her choices in bid. "...What kind of favours should we bet?"

Never play diplomacy with an Illithid? LOL.

Ever since stepping foot on Conquest island Ace was in a sort of... euphoric state of mind. Everything was just PERFECT for him... the architecture, the gold... THE GOLD... the fancy decor the fancy dress. It was enough to impress upon him that it may actually be more exquisite here than any place he'd ever been in Halloween.

When he'd curiously patrolled the vibrantly painted halls in own blue and gold hakama (since WHEN did he ever own one is a question you can just ask your MOM) he'd stopped outside the 'reserved' room the mindflayer had taken control of. "Oh my what is-" Ace's eyes caught sight of a pair of dice and before anyone could bat an eye a flash of gold and blue was now sitting and leaning with a sinister expression at a seat near an end of the table.

Ace's spaded tail was clamoring against the legs of the chair and his fingers clicked along the table. He didn't even ******** know these people. WHO THE ******** CARED.

GAMBLING.

Ace scrawled down scepters as his first choice then stared wide eyed at the three students. "A game with another demon, how exciting-" his voice cracked. Whatever s**t didn't care.

GAMBLING.

The ghost eyed the new players with a face that looked almost eternally surprised. He had no eye lids at the moment, out of choice, and held a grin, this time out of nervousness and excitement. He was being surrounded by new boils and ghouls, and it was a lot for him to take in since he was sort of a hermit in his own little corner of the library. His green glow was a little brighter.

“Hi, I’m El Greco.” He returned a nod to the ghoul, Amrita, with his own. “I think it’s fair if all our favors were roughly the same, an eye for an eye, per se.”

Malodore's voice made Riley's hands clench happily. Of all the students to show up first, Riley could not have asked for a more desirable opponent. Her eyes crescented happily as she watched it eye the chair, and then looked at the chair itself. One can only hope. She murmured playfully.

And then suddenly, her table began to fill up, and Riley clapped her hands excitedly. The first to sit, a new face for her, received a gentle nod of greeting. Welcome, friend. I'm glad you came to join us. Then she reached out with one tentacle, giving Amrita's shoulder an affectionate squeeze, and greeted the next new face to join the table. He looked exceptionally devious, which Riley considered a welcome expression, and she gave him a coy wave of her fingers. And you're welcome to join us as well. My name is Riley. This is my mate, Malodore, at my side here.

She settled in, handing out the bone tokens evenly and giving El Greco an amused glance. Yes, I'm sure we can all agree here that the favors we are betting with are simple ones. Nothing big, no slaves for life, no long term committments, just a bit of fun for us students as we learn the ways of the clan.

She settled back into her seat, and her impeccable poker face took it's place in her expression. Has everyone chosen crowns or scepters?

His brows furrowed; unsettled by the words which seemed to have rung through his mind. His eyes wandered from each of the players, and set on the mouthless Riley. He wondered if he should respond back by thinking about it, or even doing some kind of sign language, it was the first time he had encountered a telepath, well, at least it’s the first time someone had shown him that skill.

“I’ll place my bets on crowns,” said the slimer as he chose to answer with his mouth.

He wondered how far her mind powers went, and found it fortunate that it was a dice game. He thought that the demon would surely win if it was a game based on cards since she might be able to see it by reading their minds.

Ace was curious what everyone else would end up throwing out there. He clattered his teeth watching El Greco when he spoke his name then glanced back at Riley. "Riley then.." he repeated. The demon boil did everything he could to avoid scratching the table itself out of anticipation, and turned to look at the undead ghoul that had arrived just before him. "Amrita.." he pointed then shifted to Mal and nodded. "And Malodore.."

"My name's Ace," he chimed out. And I wager this game will be in my favor, thinking to himself he took a moment to realize the mindflayer ghoul had talked to them through thought... and nervously flit his gaze her direction. Luckily he hadn't focused his thoughts on her... yet.

((btw, scepters))

"Nice to meet you, El Greco." Amrita smiled sweetly, distracted only for a moment when a tentacle came around to hug her. She wasn't sure what all to do about that, so she settled for a light pat to the wriggly appendage. She was used to hearing the mindflayer in her head so it didn't bother her, nor did she feel uncomfortable in losing herself in her own thoughts. Lets see...Crowns or Sceptors? Crowns...Sceptors...

"Yes?" The Vetala piped up instantly upon hearing her name, her single grey eye focusing on Ace. It took her a moment to realize what he was doing, and when she did an odd dark colour stained what was left of her face. "Oh. Um. H-hello, Ace, nice to meet you." RECOVERY, success!

"Sceptors!" Amrita called her bet out loud, twisting her backward hands on the table infront of her, a mindless fidgeting habit she still hadn't let go of.

Malodore opened its beak in a smile and took a seat, not caring particularly if its feathers scratched the finish. It scooted up to the table, then eyed its opponents carefully. "Signorina Amrita," it said, pleasantly, nodding to the other two that it did not know.

"I shall choose Scepters," it said, after a moment.

After tallying up everyone's bets, Riley wished everyone good luck and picked up the dice, rolling them onto the table. The numbers landed on odd, which meant those who had chosen scepters would win, but there was an odd number of winners and an even number of tokens. Riley slid back everyone's original token, before placing hers and El Greco's on the table.

Ace, Amrita, and Malodore, the rules state that you must barter and decide amongst yourselves which of you gets one of these tokens, depending on whether you find them to be worth your while or not. I suppose one of you will have to go without this round. Perhaps the trade off would be that you would get an extra token, should a round appear with one extra? Whatever your decision is, work it out amongst yourselves.

She didn't look very upset about losing. Was it because she had a fair chance of owing someone she cared about a favor? Most likely.

Now, then. Everyone, what is your next bet? I keep my bet on crowns.

If Ace had fur to bristle he'd certainly be now. Even out of the sudden excitement of winning his arm lurched out for one of the two tokens before Riley even acknowledged their dillema. Once his hand was on it though he froze, and realized what was supposed to happen.

"Errr..." he nibbled on his lip before glancing between Mal and Amrita. Clearly he was not interested in.. diplomatically deciding.. though the name of the game and the age old culture of Conquest kept him unsteady, especially in front of obviously older students.

"I... er... don't know what we should pick.." he furrowed a brow nervously. Perhaps since Mal was Riley's mate it would be less obliged to take her token? "In the meantime.. I'm sayin' crowns."

((Poor ace I cant play him as generous, but BUL WOULD LET YALL HAVE IT <3))
((Also Crowns))

The ghost crossed his arms across his chest and slouched a little. It would have been a nice win if he did win, but he lost. His face showed little of the disappointment; his eyes were still wide open and his lips still stretched across his face for a smile.

He looked up at Riley, the other one who lost, and to the others. He wondered whose favor would be most favorable between them. He knew she wasn’t a Snot like he was, more likely a Nob, or even a Hob from the school. She looked older, though age in the school was relative especially with near immortals living among them. The pin on her does show that she was an important person.

“I’ll stay with crowns," he whispered, in defeat.

The young Reaper had been exploring his new digs for the day, spotting a handful of students all crowded around a table. Playing a game? There had been a clansman explaining the rules, and he only half payed attention, hands thrust in his pockets as he slowly made his way towards them.

"So... what's this, some ritzy crapshoot?" He removed his hat, helping himself to a seat as he glanced around the only somewhat familiar faces... other Amity students? "Mind if I join in? 'Aint too late, eh?" He didn't have much on him to bet, but hey, any new ways to learn a good swindle was fine by him.

He popped a wink at the purple chick with the nice rack at the head of the table who seemed to be manning things.

"Scepters for me, doll." He popped his bet down.
