Inner PeaceThe room was divided into cubicles, each cubicle with a small, rectangular carpet in it. The whole place was so quiet that it was almost odd, and smelt strongly of incense; however, the smell seemed to calm your mind, and some students might find themselves feeling a little too relaxed or sleepy; there wasn't really anyone in the room to man it, just a sign lit by candles.
"Calm your mind, seek inner peace"
Perhaps you should try meditation... As you take a seat in one of the cubicles, a horsewoman of Death appeared behind you, and lowered a curtain that closed ypur cubicle off from the rest of the room; maybe there was someone manning the room after all...Quote: -> This is a solo activity! It is the horsewoman of Death; she smiles, and escorts you out. 61-80 : Despite your uncertainty, your concentration stayed and when you finally open your eyes, you feel... Relatively at peace. It was as if you got one step closer to overcoming your fear, in that moment. (+ 1 Horsemen Point) 81-100 : You battled with your fear, beads of sweat cling to your skin. It was tough, and you wasn't sure how many hours you spent in that cubicle, and you might had been crying, but... As you opened your eyes and walked out of the room, your heart is light as a feather. (+ 2 Horsemen Points) Horsemen Points - See above and match your roll to the results of potential horsemen points gained. You cannot claim over 3 per ooc 24 hours

It wasn't long before Shun found his way to one of the rooms that seemed to be divided up into numerous cubicles. The island, he found, was rather quiet in general aside from the noises coming from the forge. But this area seemed even more so. The incense he could smell here was rather relaxing. Perhaps it was a room meant for meditation.
Glancing over his shoulder, he looked towards Xiu.
"Would you like to meditate for awhile? I have a feeling that is what this area is for."

So far, Xiu found this island to be quite pleasant. It was quiet and peaceful, and contrary to the baku's initial thoughts when she first signed up for this exchange, it seemed as if the trip posed little to no danger to them at all. The only thing that had even come close to dangerous last week was--
--but that thought could wait until later. She nodded eagerly at Shun's offer, her gaze sweeping over the area surrounding them with interest. "Sure! I guess we both go and pick out our own cubicle, right?" And then after that, they would...begin to meditate...somehow...
...
Xiu had never done so before, so she wasn't sure how this was going to go. Hopefully she didn't fall asleep.

Shun just nodded quietly to her before stepping on into the room. Quite frankly, he didn't know that Xiu had never meditated before, otherwise he might have given her some pointers. After some looking around, he found one empty cubicle and went on in, setting himself down and relaxing his body.
The reaper let out a slow breath and closed his eyes, working on clearing his mind. Before too long, he could feel a sense of tranquility. Sort of. He wasn't quit there yet, but he wasn't concerned. Sometimes meditation took longer than other points in time.

Xiu took a deep breath and stepped into one of the cubicles, only to jump when she heard the sound of the curtain being slid closed behind her. Oh! So there had been an attendant present...?
No matter. She knelt down, tucking her legs beneath her and clasping her hands together in her lap. Okay, she could do this. Uhh...just...relax, right? Though frankly, that sounded like it was easier said than done. First step...maybe take deep breaths?
The ghoul closed her eyes, trying to cast aside all of her thoughts and worries as she took deep, calming breaths. With each breath, she mentally pushed aside some of the things that had been troubling her. The incident with Seeds. The rune at the isle of Conquest. Shun's eye injury. Slowly, they all began to disappear, and with each worry being temporarily lifted away, Xiu found that she herself was beginning to feel lighter.
This was...quite nice.

It seemed the Reaper wasn't quite prepared to be so relaxed by the incense. He normally didn't meditate with them. And thus he actually drifted off for a little while. Or started to at least. when he realized what he just did, he furrowed his brow and shifted himself.
It was a good thing no one could see him. That had been.. embarrassing.

Making a note to not relax himself too much, Shun let out a breath and resumed his meditation. Before long, he found himself in a rather familiar tranquil state. He continued to control his breathing carefully, as his mind became cleared of all polluting thoughts.

Too bad the peace didn't last long.
The scene that hit her came from seemingly nowhere. One minute, her mind was empty and devoid of all negative thoughts, and the next? She was back at the Haunted House. The members of Seeds--her friends--were around her...or rather, to be more specific, they were sprawled out over the ground, unmoving. There was red staining the ground--a lot of red--and standing in the center of this blood bath was a single figure. His face was shadowed, but he seemed...familiar. Who was it?
He turned to face Xiu, and then he lifted his arms. That was when Xiu noticing the glowing scythe.
The baku jerked herself out of the scene just as the weapon was brought down on her, her heart beating heavily in her chest. Her eyes had snapped open, shudders running down her spine. That had been...
She decided it would be best if she sat here for a few more minutes until she recovered. Or at least, until she recovered enough to walk--as it were, her legs were shaking too much to support her weight right now.

Though he was at peace for a little while, Shun soon furrowed his brow as some concerns began to bubble up inside of him. There was a flash of the hunter standing over him, wielding Mitsu, and immediately his eye snapped open. Letting out a sigh, he shook his head to himself.
That illusion was going to haunt him for awhile wasn't it?
Grimacing, he slowly pushed himself back to his feet. Now was not a good time to meditate it seemed. But he had plans on coming back to this place later on. Stepping past the curtain, he ran his hand through his hair, then looked to see if Xiu was around. It was hard to tell if she had finished or was still in meditation.

When she heard what sounded like the sound of a curtain being pulled open from nearby, she gathered that Shun had finished with his meditation. Feeling a little better, she pushed herself up onto still slightly-quivery legs and made her way out of her cubical. The moment she spotted the reaper, she moved up towards him with a small smile.
"That was...less relaxing than I had hoped..." She admitted, looking a little embarrassed as she reached up to wipe her forehead. Perhaps she would come back again later, but right now...right now, she needed to focus on something a little more positive.

Shun could see that Xiu was a little shaken by her own meditation. Frowning, he set a hand onto her shoulder for a few moments before moving to leave the area.
"Meditation can sometimes bring out inner fears.. Perhaps the incense in this area aid in that. If you can overcome them however, you will come away better," he said quietly.
"Come now. Let's move on. Why don't you lead the way?"

The next day, Shun returned to meditate some more. He wanted to clear his head and yesterday's attempts weren't all too helpful towards that. As he settled down in his little cubical, he let out a breath and started to work on relaxing himself.
However, there were far too many thoughts running through his head right now. The events of the class were rather thought provoking. He was finding it a little hard to meditate right away with so many distracting things going on.

Shifting his shoulders to loosen them up, he began to control his breathing. It was a bit of a futile attempt, as he soon heard some footsteps nearby. His focus went in on that, rather than on meditation. Grimacing, Shun shook his head to himself. He did not want to be distracted.

Finally, Shun managed to tune out the various noises around, as well as shove out a number of the thoughts going through his head. Though, he idly had to wonder how Mitsu was doing back at Conquest. In any case, he managed to began to relax.

Little by little, he found himself becoming more focused. Going into more of a tranquil state of mind. Shun controlled his breathing, working on relaxing himself further.
