Protect Your Heart - Backstory Development Mission Created by: Atlantis_Darts
Your background when you join Snagem, other than what you reveal or tell yourself, is rather unknown. Your hometown/place of birth is under attack. Show what has happened there throughout time as you help defend it. This mission is all about what you want to happen to your hometown, and gives you a chance to lay down some back story for your character. Ridiculousness in this mission will not be tolerated. Show what shaped your character into the person he/she is today, and protect the place you once called home. Protect your heart.
Objectives: Defend your hometown from destruction.
Pokemon: You may snag one first or second evo available at your rank, if you have trainer opposition.
Rewards: Three to five Snag Coins or more, all rewards depend on how well it was done, and how much backstory you added to your character. It was almost silent in the base, except for the sound of her own footsteps, Kairi could hear nothing. She was walking in a pretty empty portion of the base though, where she wouldn't be disturbed. The red-head only travelled these halls when she knew that she wasn't going to be bothered by anyone else, it gave her some time to think. Although Reno had told her before to leave the past behind, Kairi couldn't help thinking about it from time to time. Her bruises had almost completely healed by now, except for a few really harsh ones that only stayed because of how many times they had been renewed Even those had almost healed though, they were no longer tender, and the harsh blueish black and purple marks were finally beginning to fade. Resting on her shoulder was Renata, a female Nidoran, and the girl's most trusted companion. One hand reached up and scratched the small Pokemon behind the ears, making her squeak slightly in joy.
Kairi soon grew bored of wandering the hall, and began to let her eye wander, glancing quickly at the things around her before just staring down at something that happened to be laying on the floor. The girl scowled at it for a moment before picking it up. The object that had been on the ground appeared to be a newspaper. Although she didn't care much for reading the news, her eye caught the image and the words across the top of the page. The picture made her skin crawl as she saw the familiar sight of a very large flock of Spearows, and just above this picture, in large, bolded letters, was the words “The Terror of Goldenrod Continues”. She quickly skimmed over the article, and her blood ran cold, causing her body to start shaking. Renata placed a paw on her trainer's face, trying to calm her down. Kairi took a deep breath, trying to get the courage to speak to the small Pokemon. “Renata... we're going home.”
----------- The streets were empty, and it seemed so odd to Kairi, who had always seen the streets of Goldenrod as busy and filled with people she could steal from. She wasn't here today to steal from the citizens of her hometown, she wasn't even here to 'save' the town really, she just wanted to prove she could chase off this flock of Spearows once and for all. It was, after all, the same flock that had torn out her eye. Kairi wanted nothing more than to teach these flying rats a lesson. They were everywhere, and the girl had no clue as to where to start in taking them down. She kept walking though, hoping that she'd come across the leader of this huge flock of bird Pokemon. Although her outward appearance was tough and unwavering, Kairi was terrified. This was the flock that had nearly killed her a couple years ago, and the reason why she's afraid of bird Pokemon. Despite this, she wanted to prove that she could beat them, face her fears and all that.
Stumbling through Goldenrod was a young girl, having just failed in stealing something from a lady that had been passing by her on the street. It wasn't often that she failed, but when she did, she would run and hide, wait until the streets were calm again. On her way to her usual hiding place, the red-head had gotten lost, and found herself in an unfamiliar part of the city. Not far from her she could hear the loud screeches of Spearows, and the golden-eyed girl wondered just what was going on to make them sound so crazy. She continued forward, eventually coming close enough to see a small flock of Spearows flying about and dive-bombing a small, blue creature. She quickly recognized it as a Nidoran Female, and she wondered what the small Pokemon had done to provoke this attack. The Poison Pin Pokemon did nothing to try and fight off the birds, merely taking all the hits from them and squealing in pain. Kairi could see deep gashes along the small Pokemon's back and face, blood staining the blue fur red.
She couldn't stop herself, running forwards to get in between the Spearows and the young Nidoran, not even flinching when the talons of the bird Pokemon grazed her, ripping her shirt in some spots. Her arms were outstretched, taunting the birds, beckoning them to go after her instead of the rabbit-like Pokemon. The attacks became more violent, and she could feel the gashes in her arm, the blood dripping down her skin. She turned her head and looked over her shoulder at the small Pokemon, wondering why it hadn't moved yet. “Go! Run! I'll hold them off, you get out of here!” she shouted, hoping the Pokemon would understand that she could escape. The small Pokemon turned and ran, rushing down a nearby alley. Unbeknownst to Kairi, she had stayed, hiding in the dark alleyway, watching the human girl get attacked in an attempt to save her
Seeing that she wasn't backing down, another Spearow, slightly larger than the others, came flying down from its roost and landed in front of the red-head. “Spearow! Spear, spearow!” its call was shrill and the other Pokemon immediately backed off, flying up to the tops of the buildings surrounding the scene. Kairi glared at the bird, trying to determine what this Pokemon wanted. Its beak opened, and its wings stretched out slightly, and it looked like it was trying to chase her off. The girl chuckled at its display, and shook her head. “I'm not leaving until I know that you'll leave that little Nidoran alone.” The Spearow was shocked, but only for a moment before its rage took over and it flapped its wings, lifting into the air. The small Pokemon flew as high as it could before dive-bombing Kairi, flying straight towards her face.
Talons raked across her right eye, deep gashes that would most definitely leave scars. Kairi took a swing at the Pokemon, and tried to cover her face when it dove at her a second time. The girl shrieked as an immense pain stung her. She had been too slow in covering her face, and although she didn't realize it just yet, her vision had just been halved. Kairi collapsed, one hand reaching up to try and stop the flow of blood from her face. It wasn't long until her hand was completely soaked with her own blood. She couldn't do anything as the rest of the flock swooped down on her, tearing at her skin with their talons. The flock's leader stood a short distance away, watching the chaos with a slight smirk on his beak.
A blue blur came streaking past, tackling the larger bird to the ground. Claws raked the Spearow's face, and it shrieked. It flapped its wings, trying to get away from the unknown assailant. The Poison Pin Pokemon had returned, and was currently trying to maul the Spearow leader. The young Nidoran had watched the entire scene, and she knew she couldn't stand by as the fearless girl that had helped her got brutally attacked. The fight went on, until the small Pokemon had chased off the flock, some of them having to walk away instead of fly because of injured wings.
Kairi was unmoving, but the Nidoran curled up beside her anyways, nudging one of the girl's hands with her nose. The girl shifted slightly, her good eye opening and staring at the small Pokemon that had returned. When she noticed that the Spearows were all gone, she smiled. “You fought all of those Spearows off for me, did you?” she asked, chuckling. The small pokemon nodded, and squeaked in pride at what she had done. “Well then little Nidoran, how about you join me? Seems like we'd make a pretty good team.” The Nidoran stared at the girl in shock, her mouth slightly open. It took her a moment, but the young Pokemon nodded again. Kairi smiled, and scratched the Pokemon behind the ears which caused her to squeak again in joy. The red-headed girl thought for a moment. “Alright then, if we're gonna be a team, then I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Kairi. And I think... I think I'm gonna call you 'Renata'. How's that sound?” The small Pokemon carefully nuzzled her face against Kairi's in response and chirruped in joy at her new name.
She remembered the day clearly, even though it had been a couple of years ago now, during a time that her best friend had been gone. She had made a new friend that day, and that friend of hers, her most trusted companion, was sitting on her shoulder now, where she usually was. Recalling the last thing she had seen before she passed out that day, she knew that the leader of the flock would have three claw marks across his face, and that's precisely what she was looking for now. But none of the Spearows in this area had any scars at all. Kairi continued walking, headed towards the one area she knew was the most likely region for the leader to be. She was going back to where she and Renata had been attacked.
Just as she turned into a nearby alleyway, Kairi felt someone slam into her and wrap their arms around her. A Spearow flew past her and landed nearby. The red-headed girl tensed up a bit and tried to pry off the person that was latched onto her. “Kairi! You came back! I knew you would!” the voice was muffled but the words made Kairi panic. How did this person know her name? The mysterious person let go, revealing the face of a young girl with beautiful blue eyes. The girl appeared to be about 8 years old, and her face was covered in dirt, as was most of her clothes. She wore a blue cap on her head, her blonde hair in a high ponytail coming out of the back of her hat. “Who in the hell are you blondie?” Kairi asked, scowling at the young girl who was smiling up at her.
The younger girl giggled a little before answering Kairi's question. “You don't remember, do you? I'm the one who helped clean your wounds and bandage your face after you and your Nidoran got attacked by those Spearows. You helped me bandage Mauri's wing afterwards,” she said, her voice pleasant. Her eyes were bright as she gazed up at the red-headed girl in front of her. Kairi thought about it for a moment, trying to recall the events after the attack.
The young blonde had come out of nowhere it seemed, but it wasn't very long before Kairi was propped up and having the gashes on her face looked after. Whatever it was that the girl was putting on her face, it stung, and Kairi kept wincing. How did this girl manage to sit here and clean her wounds? She must have been a great bloody mess right now, much too frightening for a girl who looked like she was about 6. What was she doing out here anyways? Didn't she have a family? Kairi didn't know why those thoughts even crossed her mind, it wasn't like her to judge children living on the streets After all, wasn't that where she herself had been living for years. She felt bandages tightening on her face, but she didn't wince again. She stared at the young girl with her good eye, trying to come up with a reason as to why her face looked so familiar. She looked like her mother, but, that wasn't possible. There was no way that that witch could ever have a child that was a sweet as this little girl. The thought disgusted Kairi and left a sour taste in her mouth.
“There! You're all fixed up now,” the girl said cheerily. Kairi said nothing, staring down at the ground. Renata lay in her lap, all bandaged up as well, sleeping peacefully. It was then that a small Spearow, probably still fairly young, stumbled out of one of the nearby alleyways, one of its wings stretched out awkwardly. The younger female ran over to it and picked it up. Kairi just stared at her, questioning how this girl could want to help the bird Pokemon after its flock had just nearly killed a person and a small Pokemon. “Uhm... Miss? Do you think you could help me bandage this Spearow's wing?” she asked, her voice very quiet and pleading. Kairi glared at her. “No. Not happening.” The little girl's eyes got very wide and her smile turned into a pout. “Please?” she asked again, getting closer to Kairi with the raptor-like bird. The little brat was using the puppy-dog look on her, and the worst part was, it was working. Kairi sighed, one hand running through her red hair. “Fine. Put it down and try and pin it. Try and hold it in a way that I can get a hold of its wing, okay?”
It was quite the struggle, keeping the Spearow pinned as squirmed and tried to escape the blue-eyed girl's grasp. It was probably frightened, considering the look Kairi kept giving it. But, when it realized that all they were trying to do was help, it calmed down, allowing the red-headed one to bandage its wing. The bird knew it wouldn't be able to fly again for a while, and it also knew that it probably wouldn't be able to re-join its flock. Not that it wanted to after that whole attack on this girl that was now helping him. The Spearow was still young, and it didn't really understand why the human girl had been attacked in the first place. Finally, the two girls let the Spearow go, and Kairi gave it a gentle push, trying to get it to run off. “Go on! Go! Head back to your flock,” Kairi shouted at it, trying to scare it off. Although it ran off, it would later return to the blonde girl's side, valuing her kindness much more than the girl with the temper. Now that the Spearow had gone, the younger girl turned to look at Kairi again. She had helped her because she recognized her from the pictures her mother had kept hidden from her. She had found them one day when she was hiding from her, one of the days that daddy wasn't around to stop her from hurting her. A couple weeks before her mother had tossed her out onto the streets to fend for herself.
Kairi stood, wanting to leave this place, go back to an area of Goldenrod that she actually felt comfortable in. The little girl stood as well, grabbing onto the back of her shirt as she tried to leave. Kairi stopped, looking down at her. The look she gave was a harsh way of asking 'What do you want?' The little blonde girl looked down at her feet before speaking. “Uhm... What's your name?” Kairi was shocked at her question, and she scowled at her again. “What's it matter what my name is, blondie? I'm a nobody anyways. Go, run off and go find somewhere else to be. I want to get home.” Seeing that the girl was still waiting for a proper answer, she sighed. “My name's Kairi. There, you happy now?” The younger girl nodded and smiled. “My name's Leslie by the way!” she said back, hoping that it would keep the conversation going. She was eager to learn about Kairi it seemed. “Good for you blondie. Now, I'd love to stay and chat, but, I have somewhere else to be. Goodbye now,” and with that Kairi turned and started walking, leaving the young girl behind. “Oh... Bye then...” her voice was quiet, and Kairi didn't hear her.
Kairi continued to stare at the girl, finally recognizing her. “Oh, it's you again,” she said, scowling. “Now, why are you hugging me? And why the hell do I still think you look like my mother?” Kairi shouted the questions. It was bothering her now, that this girl looked so much like the woman that she despised. Leslie looked down at her shoes, not answering. “Well? Answer me, blondie. I'm waiting.” Leslie sighed and looked back up at Kairi. “First of all, my name is Leslie, not 'blondie'. And second... the reason I look like your mommy is because, well, she's my mommy too...” Kairi looked about ready to break something at hearing those words. She didn't want it to be true. That her mother had unleashed torment on such a sweet little girl. “You're lying.”
Leslie's eyes filled with tears. “I'm not lying Kairi. I would never lie. Not about that...” Kairi continued to glare at the young girl. “Then how do you know that I'm that witch's daughter,” she snarled, causing Leslie to start shaking. “M-mommy had pictures of you... they were hidden, but I found them, and I saw you. When I saw you that day with the Spearows... I-I knew that you must be her. The girl from the photos...” Kairi stopped with the menacing act, and seeing that she had scared the girl, pulled Leslie into a hug ad began petting her hair. “Look, I'm sorry I yelled... please stop crying,” Kairi said, as calmly as she possibly could. The Spearow that had come over with Leslie, the one that she had called 'Mauri', flew over and landed on Kairi's head. The red-head let go of her newly found sister and tried to swat it off her head. “Get away from me you little terror!” she shouted. “No! Don't hurt Mauri! Please Kairi, don't!”
“And why shouldn't I? Him and his flock nearly killed me!” Kairi shouted, and Mauri flew away from her, landing on Leslie's shoulder. “Because he's my only friend... And he's my Pokemon. I won't let you hurt him.” Kairi chuckled. “You don't have a pokeball with you, that Spearow is still wild, and you know it,” she said, still glaring at the bird that rested on her sister's shoulder. Leslie tried to step towards Kairi, but the older girl stepped away from her, but her menacing expression wavered slightly when she saw the look on Leslie's face. “Damn it blondie, quit using that little puppy-dog face on me,” Kairi said sighing. “Fine, here. Catch your little flying rat,” she said, tossing a pokeball over to the younger girl. Leslie's face lit up a little as she got the ball in her hands. She looked at Mauri and pressed the button on the centre of the pokeball, the red light coming from it engulfed the Spearow, trapping it inside. The ball shook in her hand a couple of a times before the familiar click resounded. “There you go blondie, your own Pokemon. Now, if you don't mind, I have a score to settle with the leader of the flock of Spearows that's been terrorizing the town,” Kairi said, walking away from the girl once again. “Wait! Kairi, I can help you find him. Mauri can scout him out for you,” Leslie shouted out to her, making Kairi stop in her tracks. The red-headed girl sighed, “Fine. You can come with me blondie, just don't get in the way of my fight,” Kairi grumbled, walking forwards again.
----------- As it turned out, it didn't take much longer to find him, the leader of the flock. He had gotten bigger, and he was still just as nasty as ever. Actually, the bugger had evolved and was now a very large Fearow. The scars across his face remained, however, making him easily recognizable, even in his evolved state. Renata's whiskers quivered in anticipation, wanting to fight as badly as Kairi did. “Calm down Renata, you'll get your chance,” Kairi said, a smirk on her face.
“Do you want me to help, Kairi?” Leslie asked, standing beside her older sister. Kairi looked down at her and her smirk quickly changed to a frown. “No, you go somewhere else. This is my fight, not yours.” Leslie took the hint and walked off, though not very far. Renata leaped from Kairi's shoulder and landed on the ground in front of her. The Fearow paid them no attention, in fact, it appeared to be sleeping. It was too high up for Renata to reach on her own, and so Kairi had to think for a moment as to what she could do. She pulled a pokeball off of her belt and tossed it forward, and as the red light faded it revealed Sylar, her Scyther. His wings were slightly tattered thanks to a Poison Sting attack from a while back, but, he'd still be able to fly Renata up to that Fearow.
Renata climbed up on Sylar's back, and Scyther prepared to take off up to the building where the Fearow was roosting. Being as quick as he was, it didn't take long before they were up in the air and hovering before the large bird Pokemon. Renata climbed further up Sylar's back and jumped over onto the Fearow's head, positioning herself so that she could easily use a Fury Swipes attack on it. But just before she was able to start, the Fearow woke and swung its head around, causing the Poison Pin Pokemon to fall. Sylar swooped down and managed to catch Renata before she fell too far. When the Fearow awoke, so did the Spearows on either side of it, who launched themselves into the air, chasing after the Mantis Pokemon who was still carrying Renata on his back. Sylar got close the Fearow again, trying to slash at it with one of his blades but missing. Renata took this chance to jump back down, landing on the Fearow's face. She went running down his neck and stayed put on his back turning around to face his neck. Her foe was focused more on the large green thing flying around his head, and so he didn't notice until too late that Renata was readying a Poison Fang. It wasn't until her poison-soaked teeth clamped down around its neck that it took notice of the small Pokemon. The Spearows that were chasing after Sylar managed to get in a couple good shots, and Scyther was diving to the ground, unable to keep itself aloft. Noticing that their prey had fallen, the two Spearows turned around and started flying towards Renata, trying to get her away from their leader. The Fearow, however, had other ideas, and wouldn't let the two smaller birds come any closer. Stretching his wings out, the Fearow rose into the sky as quickly as it could.
Renata wasn't expecting it, and she wasn't able to keep hold to the Fearow. She was plummeting quickly, and Sylar wasn't able to get up and save her this time. Instead, a young Spearow came flying out, stumbling slightly as he caught Renata. The female Nidoran was confused, but quickly recognized Leslie's scent mixed into the scent of this Spearow. Mauri had saved her. “Nii! Nido!” she called, thanking the bird who had just saved her life. Mauri merely nodded and flew back up and after the Fearow. Although he was still too far away for Renata to jump onto his back, she thought she'd try something else. If she wasn't so high up she'd have probably heard that Kairi was shouting at her to do the same thing she intended to do anyways. She shifted slightly so that she wouldn't accidentally hurt Mauri, and sent her Poison Sting attack flying at the Fearow that was just ahead of them. As the Fearow was hit, its flying wavered, and it began to slow down. It was beginning to go down towards the ground, it wouldn't be long until it landed.
Kairi could only watch as her Pokemon fought up above her head. Sylar had crash-landed after those Spearows had gotten to him, and he was safely back in his pokeball so as not to get even more injured. The Fearow seemed to be falling, its wings moving too slow to keep it up in the air. It didn't take log for it to crash beside her. Mauri and Renata landed as well, not very far from Kairi. Although Kairi was a little irritated that her sister's Spearow had flown in, but, she was grateful that it didn't let Renata fall to her death. “Renata, go and finish off that Fearow with a Fury Swipes,” Kairi said calmly, and Renata went running, slashing at the Fearow's face with her claws repeatedly. It made no motion to try to stop her. “Renata, stop. It looks like it's done.” Kairi walked over to the large bird, and nudged its face with her foot. It opened its eyes and stared at her, recognizing the same fearlessness that had been in her eyes that had been there the first time he had fought against her.
“You, Fearow... Go. Leave Goldenrod, and take your flock with you,” Kairi's voice was a near snarl as she spoke to it. The large bird lifted itself off of the ground and spread its wings again. The Spearows nearby watched as their leader flew off. As all the Spearows lifted into the air to follow their leader, all anyone could see in the sky was a dark shadow as the amount of bird Pokemon managed to block out the sun. There was no doubt that they wouldn't return. They had learned their lesson, and Kairi had finally gotten her revenge.
“Hey, blondie, you can come out now. And take your damn flying rat with you,” Kairi said, chuckling. Mauri glared at her and pecked at her foot. “Ow! C'mon, I didn't mean anything by that!” she said, pushing the small bird over. Renata giggled at her trainer and climbed back up onto Kairi's shoulder. Leslie came out from where she had been hiding and hugged her sister again. “That was amazing Kairi!” she said, not letting go of the red-head. Kairi simply sighed and waited until the younger girl released her. “Yeah, but, I couldn't have done it without the help of your Spearow. So, thank you Leslie.” Leslie just smiled at her, but then her smile changed to an expression of sadness. “You're going to leave now, aren't you Kairi?”
Kairi thought for a moment, wondering if what she was thinking of would be a good idea. “Leaving Goldenrod? Yes. Leaving you here by yourself? Not a chance. C'mon, we're gonna go get you signed up with Team Snagem. I'll introduce you to Reno,” she said, smiling as she mentioned her boyfriend. She had a feeling that the two would get along quite well. And she knew that there was no way that Reno would let a little girl such as Leslie get hurt. Leslie's eyes lit up and she smiled again. “Really, Kairi? I can come with you?”
“Yes, you can. Now come on, before I change my mind.”Mission Completed- Kairi 'protected' Goldenrod against the flock of Spearows and defeated their Fearow leader - Revealed how Kairi lost her eye - Reaveled that Kairi has a younger sister named Leslie, who will also be joining Snagem RewardsUnknown

Tier Advancement Mission #1
So you finally made it to the end of tier six huh? Just to think, not long ago you were a fresh member, having no clue on what you were doing, just starting to trainer your Pokemon, and you already made it this far. You might think you've hit the big time by getting all the way here and choosing to take on the advancement mission but you're about to learn otherwise if you don't take this seriously. But enough of my speech to instill dramatic effect, let's get on to the reason why you're here, and that's to prove you're worthy of advancing to tier five.
This is the first of several missions you will be required to advance to each tier, once you reach the final rank of a tier that is, fortunately you've already met that requirement and now feel that you are ready to advance, so good for you! Now, your mission is a simple one, in theory that is. Our headquarters is situated within Mt. Silver, as you should know by now, which is home to many fierce Pokemon that test the strength of trainers through out the world. Because of their immense strength compared to your average wild Pokemon, and their seclusion from humans, the Pokemon here can sometimes by rather dangerous. Despite all the warnings people are given about the dangers of Mt. Silver and the Pokemon that inhabit it, one group of hoodlums though have completely disregarded these warnings and could possibly endanger not only themselves, but others, which could include us. The group I mentioned call themselves Team Ninja, though they are really nothing more than a small group of adolescent trouble makers from Johto who take their pranks, and love of all things 'ninja-like' way too far.
So what are they doing exactly? Well there is a very elderly Scizor that lives in the forested area at the base of Mt. Silver. This particular Scizor is unique in the fact that it is what is called "shiny", as in it posseses an alternate coloration apart from normal Scizor, in this case, it's a yellowish green. Now normally there is no problem in capturing a wild Pokemon, but their target is the leader of a pack of Scyther that thrive in the forest and removing the Scizor from its habit could severly disturb the hostile Scyther of Mt. Silver. Not only that, but the shiny Scizor is very old, as mentioned earlier. It can't fight much on its own, and it's almost always accomanied by other Scyther, so for Team Ninja to obtain it they would have to go through many Scyther, further disturbing the area, and with us having our headquarters in Mt. Silver, this won't be good for us. Though don't worry about Team Ninja finding out about us being here, they aren't that bright.
Now, your mission is, if you choose to accept it, to location the ragtag group of adolescent punks and stop them from capturing the shiny Scizor and disturbing the wild Pokemon of Mt. Silver. These kids have absolutely no concern for the Pokemon of the mountain and only treat them as toys. Now if it wasn't obvious already Team Ninja specialize in ninja-like Pokemon such as Nincada and Zubat, so Fire and Psychic types will be beneficial. Team Ninja themselves aren't very strong and not that much of a threat, just very annoying and reckless in their actions. So do us all a favor and give these guys the boot off of our mountain.
Objective - Prevent Team Ninja from capturing the shiny Scizor. - Don't allow them to anger and rile up the Pokemon of the mountain. - Send them packing.
Opposition - Team Ninja of course. Going by their numbers I would imagine you would face at least two members of the group with between two and three first evolution Pokemon each. You may also have to face the leader, a red headed scarf wearing teenager named Takashi who uses three Pokemon, them being Nincada, Koffing, and Ninjask.
Pokemon - You'll mostly encounter the wild Scyther of the mountain who are extremely active in protecting their leader. You may capture/snag one first stage Pokemon (Includes non-evolving)
Rewards - Advancement to Bronze Snagger in Tier Five! - Varies from there.
“So, Kairi, where are we going? And why? All I got told was that I should go with you and-” “Would you please shut up Dante. I'm trying to concentrate,” Kairi muttered. She wasn't sure how or why, but she had gotten stuck with Dante for this mission. The constant chatter coming from the blue-haired boy was driving her crazy though, and she really wished that she could just deal with this whole thing on her own, but, somehow, she had gotten stuck with Reno's cousin. The red-head would have to get back at her sister later for telling her to be nice to the older boy, and forcing her to take him along. Kairi still didn't trust him, and she wasn't about to anytime soon. Kairi sighed, running one hand through her red hair. Just when she thought she'd finally have a bit of silence, Dante started talking again. “Can't you please tell me what's going on? Leslie didn't tell me anything,” he said, pouting at the fierce looking girl beside him. “Ugh. Dante, we're going after Team Ninja,” Kairi growled at him. “Oh... Wait, who?” The red-head gave up after that, not answering the blue-haired weirdo.
Realizing that she wasn't getting anywhere by looking for them on foot, Kairi tossed a Pokeball out, releasing Sylar from his confinement. The Mantis Pokemon soon was lifting Kairi into the air, above the trees, and leaving Dante on the ground wishing that he also had a Pokemon that would be able to carry him. Crystal blue eyes wandered to look down at the Vulpix in his arms, and Dante sighed. “Guess we're getting left behind Nina,” he said to his Pokemon, who simply just licked his face in an effort to comfort him. “I'm not leaving you behind, I'm just getting a better look!” Kairi shouted down at Dante, still holding tightly to her Scyther's feet. Although she did wish that she could have a better Pokemon to use for flight, her little 'scythercopter' worked quite well, and she wasn't about to curse the fact that she was able to be carried by the bug Pokemon.
Off in the distance, Kairi could see something, and she knew immediately where it was she needed to go. Steering Sylar back down to the ground, Kairi would land beside Dante. She decided it would be best to leave the Mantis Pokemon out of his Pokeball for now, in case she needed him to talk to the Scyther and their leader, the shiny Scizor that Team Ninja was after. She hadn't seen any members of said group, but, she knew they must be around somewhere nearby. Dante looked to Kairi when she landed, giving her this look that just said 'So? Did you see anything?' The red-head nodded at Dante once before speaking. “There's a huge group of Scyther near here. I didn't see Team Ninja anywhere, but, they're bound to be close.” “What is it that Team Ninja is after? If you don't mind me asking that is... I just need a better understanding of what's going on here,” Dante said, rubbing the back of his head with one hand. Kairi thought for a moment, wondering if she should tell him just what exactly was going on. Deciding that it would be better if her partner wasn't completely oblivious, she told him everything, going on for a bit about how Team Ninja was after a shiny Scizor that was the Scyther's leader, and how it was their job to stop them and keep them from disturbing the Pokemon. Because, y'know, angering a huge group of Scyther was only a good idea if you had a death wish.
The two kept walking, though they were silent now. All that could be heard was the rustling of leaves as the wind blew through the trees. To Kairi it seemed almost too quiet though, and she began to get nervous. Dante could sense that the red-haired girl beside him was beginning to get edgy, but he didn't say anything to her, knowing that it would be best to keep quiet for now. Just a short ways into the distance, the calls of Scyther could be heard, and they sounded pretty mad. The two trainers looked at each other for a moment before they began running. Dante was having troubles with keeping up. Key word being was, because Sylar quickly decided to start pushing the blue-haired male forwards, allowing him to keep up to Kairi easily. As the two trainers came into the clearing, the two could see that the group of Scyther were in fact quite irritated, what with there being a couple of uninvited guests in their midst. Three Team Ninja members stood in the clearing amongst the Scyther, trying to find the Shiny Scizor. Kairi suspected that there was more Team Ninja members nearby, but, she figured it would be better to deal with these three punks first. One of them was giving orders to the other two. He was slightly taller than the other two, presumably a couple years older than them, had spiky red hair, and wore a long, black scarf around his neck. He seemed to be the leader, and he also seemed to be too distracted by his goal to notice that Kairi and Dante were coming up behind him and his two goons. However, now was the time to ruin Team Ninja's fun.
Kairi picked up a rock that was by her feet, tossing it up into the air a couple of times, judging the weight of it. Dante, realizing what Kairi was about to do, tried to stop the red-headed girl, but it was too late. Kairi chucked the rock at them, hitting the spiky-haired kid in the back of the head, making him turn to look at her. “Sorry to ruin your fun you three, but, unless you wanna get your butts kicked by these Scyther here, you'd best be on your way,” Kairi said, chuckling. “Kairi! Aren't these three, I dunno... dangerous?” Dante asked, dumbfounded. “Nah, they're just a couple of kids,” she replied, smirking. The leader of the little group pointed at Dante and Kairi and said something to the other two that the trainers couldn't hear. Though, considering the fact that the two of them both sent out a Pokemon each, it was safe to assume that mister leader-boy over there had told the two to take care of them while he kept searching for the Scizor. One goon had sent out a Nincada, while the other sent out a Zubat, and Kairi couldn't help but laugh. Dante just looked at Kairi with a panicked look on his face. “C'mon Dee, we can take these little pipsqueaks,” Kairi said, a wicked smile crossing her lips.
Dante just stared at Kairi in awe as the red-head sent out her Torchic, who immediately hopped onto the Nincada's back, causing the bug to squirm and try to knock the Chick Pokemon off of it. Dante went to grab Victoria's Pokeball, knowing that the Gothita would be his best chance against the Zubat, but stopped, his hand hovering over the ball that was still attached to his waist. “Did you just call me 'Dee'?” Dante asked, looking rather dumbfounded at the little nickname. “Yes. I don't really feel like having to say 'Dante' all the time, so, I'm just gonna call you 'Dee' from now on, okay?” “Uhh... yeah, I guess that's fine. What can I call you then?” “Ugh... Just call me Kay or something if you really need to call me something other than Kairi.” “Oh, alrighty.” “Would you two shut up and fight us already!?!” one of the two Team Ninja members finally shouted at the two trainers, getting annoyed that the two of them were just talking amongst themselves rather than paying attention to the fight. Dante finally grabbed his Gothita's Pokeball, sending the small Psychic type out.
Luckily for Kairi, the Gothita's gaze was focused on their opponents, and not on her. That little Pokemon still freaked her out, and she likely would have lost her own focus if it had been facing her, but it wasn't, so she was ready to fight. “Zeke, Ember!” Kairi shouted to her Torchic, who promptly sent a stream of fire down at the Nincada that he was standing on top of, causing the bug to screech and finally buck Zeke off of its back, causing the Chick Pokemon to tumble backwards. “Nincada, Dig!” the Team Ninja goon shouted to his own Pokemon. The bug immediately burrowed into the ground, leaving Zeke to wonder where it had gone. “Don't stay in one place Zeke! Keep moving as much as possible!” Kairi shouted, watching as the Torchic began running around in circles, because who knew where that Nincada was going to come up from? Dante wasn't used to being in battles, in fact, he didn't even really like battles all that much, preferring contests over actual battles. But, he knew he was going to have to help Kairi now. “Victoria, use Confusion!” he shouted to the Gothita, who began to send her psychic abilities towards the Zubat that was now charging at her. The attack was successful, knocking the Zubat backwards. It was successful in another way too however, and it was apparent quite quickly when the Zubat started flying around rather haphazardly. “Zubat, Bite!” the second Team Ninja member shouted. The Zubat tried to rush at Victoria to try and bite it, but instead flew straight into the ground in its confusion, actually knocking itself out in the process. Dante blinked, unsure how to react to what had just happened. Kairi just patted him on the back. “Nice one there Dee, looks like your opponent isn't exactly the strongest trainer around,” she said, laughing. The Team Ninja grunt didn't take too kindly to Kairi's words however, and proceeded to send out a Nincada of his own. “Just a suggestion here Dee, but, you may want to take miss creepy as can be out of the battle. She won't help much against that Nincada,” Kairi said quietly, her voice just loud enough for Dante to hear her. Dante nodded and recalled the Gothita.
It was then that Nina jumped out of Dante's arms, her hackles raised as she snarled at her opponent. For something so small and cute, the Vulpix certainly looked pretty vicious now. Zeke had stopped running around when he saw the Fox Pokemon jump down, leaving him open to the Nincada that came bursting out of the ground beneath him and striking him with one metallic looking claw. “Zeke!” Kairi called out, seeing the Torchic go flying into the air. The Chick Pokemon would land on the ground a short ways away. It took him a moment to struggle to his feet, but eventually he was up and eager to get back into the fight. “Nincada, Fury Swipes that Torchic!” the Team Ninja goon shouted. The Nincada would go rushing towards Zeke, only to have the Torchic jump up and land on top of him, forcing the bug Pokemon's face straight into the ground. “Zeke, Ember,” Kairi commanded. The Torchic followed his trainer's orders quickly, sending a stream of flames straight down onto the Nincada, causing it to writhe beneath him before bucking him off and trying to slash at him. “Nincada, Metal Claw,” the other Team Ninja commanded, his Nincada trying to sneak up behind Zeke, aiming to strike with one metallic claw. “Nina, Flame Burst!” Dante shouted. The Vulpix would rush towards the Nincada that were teaming up against Zeke, sending her own flames to blast the two Nincada. Some of the flames struck Zeke as well but didn't hurt him too badly, the Chick Pokemon being used to the feeling of flames. The already weakened Nincada, the one that Zeke had been attacking, would collapse from the Vulpix's attack, no longer able to fight. The Nincada would be recalled just as a Spinarak was being sent out, raring to fight against the two fire types despite it's type disadvantage. The Nincada that was still left standing was wavering slightly, though it still appeared to stand strong at this point, as it rushed towards Nina, aiming to hit the Vulpix with Metal Claw now instead of Zeke. The Fox Pokemon would take the full hit of the attack, being knocked backwards slightly. “Nina, Payback now!” Dante commanded. Nina would spin, swinging her tails full force into the Nincada, dark chi emanating from the six tails. This Nincada would fall as well from the attack of the Vulpix, unable to fight any longer. It appeared that the owner of this Nincada no longer had any Pokemon left, as he cursed under his breath over having lost to Dante and his Pokemon. The Spinarak however, was still in the fight, though Nina just watched now, seeing how well Zeke could handle himself against his opponent. “Zeke, Ember!” Kairi shouted, watching the Torchic begin to breathe in to ready his fire attack. “Spinarak, Poison Jab!”
Zeke didn't have a chance to dodge the Spinarak's attack, taking the Poison Jab straight to the stomach, causing the Chick Pokemon to collapse. “No! Zeke!” Kairi shouted, hoping that the Torchic would stand back up, but to no avail. Zeke was down. Kairi's teeth clenched as she scowled at the Team Ninja member who's Spinarak had just taken down Zeke, having to bite her tongue to keep herself from saying anything to explicitly awful. The Torchic was returned to his Pokeball, and Kairi found herself pulling Griselda's ball from her belt and tossing it out. Out would come the Rhyhorn, the larger Pokemon staring down the Spinarak. Kairi smirked now, knowing it would be much more difficult for the Spinarak to take down a Pokemon such as Griselda. The Spinarak made a sound similar to that of a shriek when it saw the Spikes Pokemon towering over it, afraid it was going to get stomped on by the larger Pokemon. The String Spit Pokemon went running back towards its trainer, crawling up along the Team Ninja grunt's leg and up further to sit on his shoulder. “What the- Get back down there and fight!” he shouted, grabbing the Spinarak with his other hand and tossing it back onto the field. The poor Pokemon was practically shaking, and Griselda tilted her head as she stared down at the jittery Pokemon. “Hey Griselda, Scary Face,” Kairi said, chuckling a little bit. The Rhyhorn obeyed her trainer, making her face as scary looking as possible and practically roaring in the Spinarak's face. The tiny Pokemon couldn't take it, falling over backwards in fright. Kairi burst into laughter, doubling over and clutching her stomach. The Spinarak's trainer glared at Kairi from where he was. “Stupid, worthless Spinarak,” he grumbled, and nudged the bug with his foot. “Get up you pathetic little spider!” At that, the Spinarak jumped up and shot out a String Shot, wrapping its trainer's face in the sticky webs. Kairi had to stifle her laughter, though to no avail. The redhead burst out laughing once again and strode over to the little bug Pokemon. “Hey there buddy, how about you join me and leave your pathetic trainer behind? I can help you get a bit stronger. How's that sound?” Kairi asked, letting the Spinarak crawl up onto her shoulder. The little Pokemon blinked at her a couple times before making a happy little sound and began to nuzzle Kairi's neck. “Okay, okay,” Kairi said, still laughing. Kairi pulled a Pokeball from her belt, her last empty one, and tapped the Spinarak on the head with it, snaring it in the red glow. There was no struggling against the confines of the Pokeball, and it clicked almost immediately.
“Hey! Who said you could take my Spinarak?” the Team Ninja goon shouted at her. Kairi answered by glaring at the boy, and readying what would have been a snarky response if the guy hadn't run off as soon as he saw that Kairi meant business. Kairi smirked and looked over at Dante. “C'mon, we should go run after leader-boy and stop him from wreaking havoc,” she said, actually smiling at Dante for once. It seemed that the girl did in fact have a heart, and could show that softer side from time to time. Dante was just glad that he wasn't going to be used as Kairi's punching bag again. The redhead began walking away after she recalled Griselda, who seemed to be a little confused about the whole ordeal. Dante picked up Nina carefully and went running after Kairi, catching up with her quickly. It wasn't long before the two of them caught up with the Team Ninja leader. And as they got closer, Dante noticed something about him, causing the blue-haired boy to frown. “Hey pipsqueak, get back over here,” Kairi called out, seeing the boy turn to face her. “Hey, Kairi-” “Shush for a minute Dee.” “But-” “SHUSH.” Dante shut his mouth then, even though he desperately felt he needed to tell Kairi what he had possibly discovered.
“Who are you pipsqueak?” Kairi asked, glaring at the boy, taking note that the shiny Scizor was not that far away, glaring at the back of the boy's head. “I am Takashi, leader of Team Ninja! And who are you lady?” Kairi looked at Takashi oddly at hearing his voice. It sounded very... feminine? That didn't make sense, wasn't Takashi supposed to be a guy? Kairi ignored it for now though, choosing to answer the, uhh... boy? “Oh, I'm Kairi. The girl who's going to kick your butt if you don't scram,” Kairi said, smirking. “Heh, well, you'll have to take down my Pokemon first,” Takashi replied, his voice still throwing Kairi off a little bit. “You'll pay for messing with these Scyther pipsqueak. In fact... Sylar, how about you take this?” Kairi chuckled, watching as her Scyther readied himself to attack whatever it was that Takashi sent out, which happened to be a Koffing. “Kairi, I still need to tell you-” “Could you please just shut up for now Dante. You can tell me later,” Kairi snarled, glaring at Dante for a moment before returning her gaze to the battle. Whilst Kairi had her back turned though, Takashi had taken it upon himself to send out his other two Pokemon, a Nincada and a Ninjask. Kairi sighed and glared at Dante again. “You better be helping me Dee, just saying.” “Oh, uh... Okay.” Nina jumped down to the ground from Dante's arms again, hackles raised as she snarled at the Nincada.
“Koffing, Smog. Nincada, Metal Claw. And Ninjask? Go after that Scizor,” his grin was wide as he spoke. All Takashi needed to do was take down these two trainers and he could take his prize. Kairi sighed before commanding her Pokemon. “Sylar, go after that Ninjask, don't let it near that Scizor. Griselda, come on out and hit that Koffing with a Rock Blast,” Kairi shouted as she released her Rhyhorn. “Nina, Flame Burst,” Dante commanded calmly of his Vulpix. Attacks were flying everywhere. Griselda managed to blast the Koffing with rocks before she wound up with the Smog blocking her vision. Nina dodged the Nincada's Metal Claw by jumping into the air and blasting the bug with the burst of flames, knocking it backwards. The Nincada chattered angrily at Nina, to which it got an Ember attack to the face in response. The Nincada chattered again, swiping one metallic claw at the Vulpix, who got caught in the side with the attack, causing her to cry out. “Nina, Payback,” Dante said, watching as Nina swung her tails at the Nincada, knocking the Nincada out with the dark attack.
Sylar had gone racing after Takashi's Ninjask, but didn't have the time to stop it before it reached the Scizor, who looked pretty mad that it was being disturbed. The Ninjask attempted to hit the shiny Pokemon with an X-Scissor, only to be hit by an X-Scissor that was twice as strong from the Scizor. The Ninjask would go flying backwards, slamming hard into the tree that was behind it. The bug Pokemon falling to the ground, unmoving. Takashi turned around to see his Pokemon had been taken out in one fell swoop. The Scizor ignored Sylar, and began to rush towards Takashi, readying a second X-Scissor. Although Kairi thought it would be amusing to watch this foolish leader fall to the blow of the Pokemon he was intending to capture, she knew she had to intervene. “Sylar, block the Scizor's attack while I grab leader-boy over here,” Kairi commanded. Sylar met the Scizor's X-Scissor with his own, stopping the attack in it's tracks. The Scizor attempted to knock Sylar backwards, but Sylar merely stood his ground. “Scyyy. Scy, scy, SCYTHERRR!” Sylar called out, trying to reason with the angry Scizor. Kairi dived and grabbed Takashi, got up, and ran back towards Dante. However, when Kairi had knocked Takashi to the ground, her hand bumped against the boy's chest. “What the-” “I tried to tell you Kairi, but you wouldn't listen. Takashi's a GIRL,” Dante said, shaking his head. Kairi stared at Takashi, dumbfounded. “No kidding,” Kairi groaned. “How could you tell?” Takashi asked, looking at Dante, a blush now spreading across her cheeks. “Girl, you have curves. Can't hide that,” Dante said, laughing. “Plus, you just seemed so feminine to me. My first thought was that you might be gay, but, then I realized that there was no way, you had to be a girl.”
Takashi sighed. “Please don't tell my teammates. They all think I'm a guy...” she mumbled, the red of the blush deepening in color. Dante laughed again. “If you promise to leave these Scyther and their leader alone, then sure, I won't say anything.” “I might.” “Kairi!” “..Fine, I won't say anything either,” Kairi muttered, crossing her arms over her chest. Takashi smiled and hugged both Dante and Kairi. “Thanks so much. But, don't take this as meaning that I'm completely giving up,” she said, sticking her tongue out. Next thing Kairi and Dante knew, there was a flash and a rush of smoke. Once the smoke had cleared they saw that Takashi and her Pokemon had gone. Sylar was still trying to calm down the Scizor, who appeared to have given up on attacking the foreign Scyther. “Hey Sylar, you done over there?” Kairi called over to her Scyther. Sylar nodded and returned to his trainer. The shiny Scizor and all the Scyther he commanded began to head deeper into the forest, having all calmed down now.
Kairi recalled both Sylar and Griselda and looked over to Dante, smiling at him. “Guess we're done. C'mon, let's head back to HQ,” Kairi said, rubbing Dante's head and messing up his hair. Dante couldn't help but be confused. This girl... Earlier she had seemed to hate him. But now? Now he wasn't so sure. He sighed, following her again. It was a good thing that Kairi was the one leading them. If it were Dante, they would probably be getting lost. Although he was confused, Dante smiled. It seemed like maybe a friendship with his cousin's girlfriend would finally become possible.
“So, do you trust me yet, Kay?” “Shut up, Dee.” The two of them could be heard laughing after this. The blue-haired boy had finally broken through to the cold girl that stood beside him. And neither could be happier at their newly found friendship with the other.

Tier advancement mission #2
Hm. You’re doing well, I see. Got through your first advancement and reached the end of another tier. An impressive feat in itself, but it must be said now. These will only get rougher from here. Fortunately, things might be a little familiar for you if your previous mission was any indication. But unlike last time, things are a tad more serious in nature. If you think you can prove your worth even more, then read on.
As with the previous mission, you must be at the top of a tier. In this case, you’ll need to be at the top of Tier 5. Until then, you won’t be allowed to do this mission. I am not one for many words, though, so forgive any vagueness. I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Now then, allow me to brief you. Despite your efforts, it seems like the pranksters that call themselves Team Ninja haven’t learned their lesson in the least. Their mischief has begun to cause issues again, this time out in the Ilex Forest.
Normally, this might not a big deal, but there is the matter of the forest’s inhabitants. Bug Pokemon are very common, and it’s quite normal to find a tree with several Metapod or Kakuna attached, waiting for their evolution. On a rare day, you might even find a Silcoon or Cascoon. On their own, they aren’t much. But this isn’t what they’re after here. What they are after deals with what Pokemon like those evolve into. A Butterfree and its various powder attacks, Beedrill and its powerful venom, I could go on. Suffice to say that Pokemon like this could be dangerous if something causes them to start up. Not only for the forest’s Pokemon, but anyone around as well. Even these obsessive ninja fanatics wouldn’t be safe.
In this case, your mission has a few purposes. First of all, it’s one of protection, to avoid Team Ninja trying to do something stupid like trying to open up a cocoon Pokemon to speed up its evolution, or agitating any Butterfree, Beedrill, Beautifly or Dustox that might actually be around. Secondly, it’s one of rescue. I can’t say I’m too fond of this, but given how likely it is that something could really go bad out there, it’s imperative to get Team Ninja. I don’t care if the endeavor involves tying them up and dragging them out, while making them listen to a horribly dubbed show and stealing any money they have. Just make sure they aren’t in the forest by the time you’re done.
As before, Pokemon that can handle the likes of bugs and poison would be beneficial for you. That said, try not to burn down too much of the forest. It probably wouldn’t be too becoming, and counter-productive to your objectives.
Objectives - Prevent Team Ninja from causing too much trouble. - Also suppress any trouble that might occur from an agitated Pokemon, especially ones like Butterfree and Beedrill. - Get Team Ninja out of there, by any means necessary. - Kinda important: Keep the forest intact. If there isn’t one left, you’re probably gonna fail.
Opposition - Just as your last advancement, Team Ninja itself. They’ve picked up a few more since last time, so you’ll likely face a minimum of four members. Three of those four seem to be just under their leader. Maybe they look up to them or something, who knows. Their Pokemon have improved as well; they still only use two to three, but some of them will be evolved to their second stage. Apart from this, you’ll have to take on Takashi. Whisperings mention a Dustox, Weezing and Shedinja with him. Did something happen to his Ninjask last time?
Rewards - Advancement into Tier 4, as an Ace Snagem - Anything else varies[NOTE: I wrote Takashi as a girl hiding her gender from her team in the first tier mission. I have stuck with that in this one.] Azalea Town. Kairi would never understand this town's love for Slowpokes, but, that wasn't something that the redhead needed to worry about right now. She had received word that Team Ninja was in Ilex Forest, Azalea Town was just where she decided to head first. The town wasn't much to look at compared to what the girl was used to, but, she wouldn't be there long. In fact... Ah, yes... there it was. Kairi strode through the small building that acted as an entrance into the forest, stepping out into the grove of trees. It was impossible to see the sky through the trees, though streams of light still managed to hit the forest floor. The redhead glanced at various things around her, trying to figure out whether there was any Team Ninja goons around. There didn't seem to be, but, she could never be too careful. Renata, the Female Nidoran sitting on Kairi's shoulder shifted and crawled up onto her trainer's head in hopes that it would help her see things as far away as Kairi might see them. The girl smirked and raised one hand up to the Nidoran's head, scratching her lightly behind the ears, making Renata squeak in joy. "Alright Renata, ready to find Team Ninja?" she asked, the Nidoran squeaking slightly in response. "That's what I thought. Let's go!"
Drao was released from his Pokeball then. Kairi had released the Murkrow so he could provide some form of surveillance. Sylar was also released, the Mantis Pokemon would provide decent protection on the off chance they were attacked suddenly. It took a little while, but, Kairi and her team reached the Ilex Forest Shrine. It was where Kairi intended to search for Team Ninja first. Just as the girl and her Pokemon got close to the shrine, Drao began flying around frantically, cawing at something below. Kairi's eye narrowed, and she pointed in the direction of the frantic bird Pokemon. "Sylar, go see what's got Drao freaking out so much. If needed... attack." The Scyther nodded and went running off in the direction that his trainer had pointed towards. Moments later, there was a sudden shriek coming from the direction Kairi had sent Sylar in. The redhead looked to the Nidoran on her shoulder for a moment before running off in that direction.
As Kairi came up upon the source of the shriek, she called Sylar back to her. Kairi stopped in her tracks as she saw who had been shrieking at the sudden appearance of the Scyther. And who she saw... was a girl that she recognized. Short, brown hair, wearing green headphones, and... no shoes apparently. The girl was barefoot. She also had a stunning set of green eyes, eyes that glimmered with recognition as the redhead came up to her. Kairi held a hand out to the brunette, helping her to her feet. "Didn't think I'd see you ever again, Tsura," Kairi grumbled, though there was a slight smile on her face. "Well, I knew I'd see you again Kairi. Considering I was just on my way to see you," the girl, Tsura, said happily, smiling at Kairi in return. Kairi frowned and looked away from the brunette. "You wouldn't have found me where you seem to think you would. I don't live in Goldenrod anymore." Kairi sighed and looked away from her friend. "You shouldn't be here right now Tsura, I'm busy at the moment." "Busy with what exactly? I know you're not a girl of many words, but, you've never given me the cold shoulder before," Tsura said calmly, pouting slightly. When Kairi didn't answer, Renata placed one paw on the side of Kairi's face, chattering at the girl. The redhead reached up and scratched the Nidoran behind the ears, staring at Tsura with a blank look on her face as she did so.
"Please Tsura... Just leave. Leave and don't come back. I was fine when you left me the first time, I'll be fine when you leave this time," Kairi mumbled, her eye closing as she spoke. "I'm sorry for leaving Kairi, but... I had to. You didn't need me anymore. You and Reno were doing so we-" "Reno disappeared shortly after you left Tsura. I had no one. I lost everything in the matter of a few short months. Including the vision in my right eye," Kairi snarled, and Renata pawed at her face again, trying to calm the girl down. "Now, if you don't mind, I have something I need to be doing." And with that, Kairi turned and walked away from the brunette girl, returning to her search for Team Ninja. Kairi would not see that Tsura would be following her in the shadows of the trees, watching the redhead carefully. She also released a Cottonee, wanting someone to keep her company whilst she stalked the redheaded girl.
----------- Drao dove down towards Kairi, landing on the girl's unoccupied shoulder. There was an abundance of Beedrill and Butterfree flying through the air, and the Murkrow didn't want to disturb them. Sylar walked just a little ways behind his trainer, keeping watch for anything out of the ordinary. The Scyther was always wary nowadays. He had no intention of leaving Kairi's side (save for being recalled into his Pokeball of course), especially after what had happened last time something like that happened. The girl could see the numerous bug Pokemon flying about, and she knew that Team Ninja was likely nearby, her hand wandered to one of the Pokeballs attached to her belt, ready to release the Pokemon within it as soon as she came across some of Takashi's little goons. Kairi smirked at the thought of fighting Takashi again, the little pipsqueak had amused her, and she was looking forward to battling the little brat.
Tsura watched Kairi from a distance, her Cottonee floating around her. The brunette wanted to see just what it was that her old friend was up to, and she wanted answers as to why she had been so cold to her earlier. The girl had obviously changed in the past couple years, and Tsura could tell just by looking at Kairi, that the redhead had been through quite a bit in the past few years. Tsura didn't regret leaving Kairi, she had believed the girl to be ready to deal with things without her, but... there was a shred of doubt in the girl's mind, that maybe, just maybe, she had done the wrong thing in heading to Unova, and leaving her friend to fend for herself.
Kairi came up calmly behind the group of five, specifically, she came up behind Takashi. "Fancy seeing you here Takashi. I thought you had learned your lesson last time~" Kairi whispered into her ear, poison dripping from her words. Takashi turned and jumped back, a wicked grin spread across her face, a fierce look in her eyes. Kairi took note of the fact that Takashi still looked very much like a guy, and she shook her head for a moment. "Still putting up that little charade of yours, I see," the golden-eyed girl muttered, frowning at Takashi for a moment. Takashi said nothing, motioning to the four goons instead. The four of them rushed towards Kairi, one of them coming up behind her and twisting her arms back, pushing her onto the ground so her face was scraping against the dirt. Unfortunately for that particular goon, Renata and Drao were both sitting on Kairi's shoulder. The Nidoran bit down on the boy's hand, whilst Drao leaped up and flew to land on the boy's head, pecking him repeatedly until he lifted his hands up to try and bat the Murkrow away, releasing Kairi in the process, who quickly shifted and managed to knock the boy over with one sweep of her legs. The boy made no motion to grab Kairi as she stood, looming over him for a moment. "I wouldn't suggest getting up," Kairi growled. Seeing the boy shaking and wide-eyed, she knew she would have no problem with him. The other three, however...
Six pokemon were released, two from each of the three goons left standing. A quick glance at the Pokemon released showed Kairi that there was a Golbat, two Ninjasks, two Nincada, and an Ariados, all of them faced towards her, and the redhead just grinned at them all. Drao and Renata both ran onto to the field, ready to fight, and Kairi released Zeke and Griselda as well. The Combusken and Rhyhorn would prove to be helpful, especially considering the opposition. Sylar rushed around to come up behind Takashi, wrapping his arms around the girl, his scythes crossed over her chest. The Team Ninja leader wouldn't be going anywhere until Kairi was ready for her. Though the girl struggled against the Mantis Pokemon, it was obvious that she wasn't going to be getting free just yet.
"Griselda, Rock Blast that Golbat. Zeke, Flamethrower against those Ninjasks," Kairi called out to the two. Griselda rushed towards the Golbat, rocks blasting away from her body aimed at her opponent. The Golbat flew out of the way, and let loose a Supersonic, causing Griselda to go into a state of confusion. As the Rhyhorn glanced around, she felt she couldn't focus on her opponent, as it appeared to her that there was many Golbats rather than one, she stopped for a moment, hoping her head would clear of this confusion. Kairi's Combusken, however, had a look of bloodlust in his good eye, and he released the stream of flames immediately after he had been told. The Ninjasks weren't even given a chance to dodge, taking the full blow of the flames. One of them fell to the ground, the other wobbled slightly as it rushed towards Zeke. Zeke, in his bloodlust, didn't wait for another order from his trainer, slamming one of his feet into the Ninjask's side once... no, twice. The already weakened Pokemon tumbled to the ground. Zeke placed one foot against the Ninjask's body, readying another Flamethrower to finish it off once and for all. Kairi took notice of what the Combusken was doing then, tackling her Pokemon to the ground, pinning him there for a moment so that she could recall him. The redhead sighed, realizing that she should've worked with Zeke more before taking on this mission. The Combusken was still pretty crazed due to recent events.
Kairi had no time to think about this though. There was still a battle to finish, to be won. The owners of the Ninjasks rushed toward their Pokemon, recalling them quickly so they couldn't be injured any further. Kairi turned to Renata and Drao. The Murkrow had swooped down and hit one of the two Nincadas with a Wing Attack, landing on the bug Pokemon's back afterwards. The Nincada tried to run with Drao on his back, though it didn't go very far before the Darkness Pokemon finished it off with Peck. The Murkrow rose into into the air again, turning to face the other Nincada, who looked scared out of it's mind as the bird approached it. Kairi gave no orders to the bird, seeing that he was doing well enough on his own. Renata, however, looked like she was taking quite the beating from the Ariados. The larger bug had deep gashes in it's face, caused by a couple Fury Swipes attacks from the Nidoran, but... Renata looked like she was faring worse. Kairi hadn't seen what her Nidoran had been hit by, but she saw that the Poison Pin Pokemon was having troubles with staying on her feet with her current injuries.
The owner of the Ariados grinned at Kairi, a wicked look in his eyes. "Looks like I got myself a better Pokemon than that worthless Spinarak I had before. You know which one, considering you stole it from me," he called out, taunting the redhead. Kairi practically snarled at the boy, lunging at him and knocking him to the ground. "Azoth is a good little Spinarak. Just because you couldn't see that doesn't mean that I don't too. Take back what you just said," the look in Kairi's eye was menacing, and the girl had one hand hovering over the knife at her belt. The boy said nothing to her, glaring up at her from his position on the ground. "I said take it back. NOW!" she was practically screaming now. One moment, she still had this jerk pinned to the ground, and the next, she was being pulled up to her feet, her hands behind her back. The girl practically hissed as she turned her head to look at who had grabbed her, only to have her expression change to one of shock as she saw that it was Tsura. "Calm down Kairi.. He's not worth it." A saddened look crossed the redhead's face, and her head fell slightly. Kairi looked up again just as her opponent's Ariados attacked Renata again, a purple glow surrounded her Nidoran. making her cry out in pain. The Ariados had a similar glow coming from its eyes. It was then that Kairi understood what this Ariados had. Psychic. The attack was one that would be incredibly painful to the Nidoran. And Kairi let out a strangled cry as Renata fell to the ground, barely moving. The Ariados came up to the Poison Pin Pokemon, raising one leg for a moment before swinging it down, poison dripping from it. It was using Poison Jab. Kairi couldn't move fast enough, not with Tsura still holding her arms.
It was then that the female Nidoran began to glow, her body becoming larger and shifting slightly in shape. The Ariados's leg was stopped in its tracks as it was grabbed by a set of claws. Renata's eyes opened, gleaming red as she stared down the surprised Ariados. This Nidoran, was no longer a Nidoran. She had in fact evolved into a Nidorina. And boy did she look mad. She swung one of her front paws forward, the claws catching the Ariados in the face. Once. Twice. No... Three times she clawed at it. The Long Leg Pokemon stumbled back, and ran back towards its trainer, who had gotten up off the ground by now. The Ariados fell to the ground on the way over to it's trainer, unable to gather the strength to move any further. The trainer recalled his Pokemon and ran off. With his Ariados taken down, as well as his Nincada, he had no reason to be here. He didn't care that he was leaving his leader behind. It wasn't like he was the only one. The owner of one of the Ninjasks and the other Nincada had run off, too. The only one left was the owner of the other Ninjask, and the Golbat.
Speaking of Golbat... Griselda had managed to snap out of her confusion and had shot at it with another Rock Blast. This time, she hit it, and the Bat Pokemon tumbled to the ground. It tried to shoot off another Supersonic, which the Rhyhorn avoided by sending off one last barrage of rocks, finally knocking out the Golbat. The last trainer recalled his Pokemon, walking off without another word. Takashi glared at the backs of her teammates as they retreated. "It's not like I actually needed help or anything," she grumbled. Sylar released the girl from his grip, and she fell to her knees. Kairi stood in front of her, arms crossed over her chest as she glared down at the leader of Team Ninja. Takashi looked up at the redhead with a guilty look. "Hey... You know I didn't mean-" The sound of a slap rung in the air as Takashi was slapped in the face by Kairi. The redheaded girl grabbed the other by the front of her shirt, pulling her up to her feet. "Don't even try it Takashi. Give it up. You will never win. And you're not getting your hands on those bug Pokemon either," Kairi said, speaking loudly. Tsura tried to grab Kairi again, only to have Sylar block her, shaking his head at her. Tsura couldn't figure out why Kairi was acting like this, or even why she was after this kid. To her it looked like Takashi hadn't done anything. "Kairi, stop... What are you doing?" "I'm protecting the forest from brats like Team Ninja," Kairi grumbled, still glaring at Takashi. Tsura put a hand on Kairi's shoulder, trying to get her attention. Kairi finally turned, her grip on Takashi loosening slightly. She tried to figure out just what Tsura was thinking by the look on her face, and she frowned slightly. "I'm sorry Tsura. You don't understand what I've been through, where I ended up. But, this... This is something to change things for the better. The... The team I'm a part of... They're all great people. A little strange at times, but, they're all great. Reno's there, and my sister..." Kairi's head fell slightly as tears sprung to her eyes. She had let go of Takashi by now, the leader of Team Ninja was watching her carefully, not entirely sure as to what was going on. Tsura didn't say anything, but instead she pulled Kairi close to her, letting the redhead cry on her shoulder for a moment. Takashi tried to back away, only to have Tsura glare at her when Kairi wasn't looking. The scarf-wearing girl stopped in her tracks, glaring at both Kairi and Tsura. "Y'know, we were kind of in the middle of something here," she finally said, quite angrily.
In an effort to get Kairi back on track, Takashi released the Pokemon she had. The pokeballs revealed a Dustox, Weezing, and... Shedinja? When Kairi saw the third Pokemon, she was confused momentarily. Hadn't Takashi had a Ninjask before? She was sure it was- Oh. OH. Kairi remembered the events of her last run in with Takashi, the images running through her mind again. The redhead shuddered at the realization that that blow from the Scizor must of... must of... Oh, it didn't matter right now! Now was the time to stop Takashi's plans once and for all!
Kairi looked to Renata, and was about to ask her to step in to the fight when Zeke suddenly released himself from his pokeball. He made no move to attack any of the other Pokemon, simply staring at them for the moment. A look of terror came into Kairi's eyes at the sudden release of her Combusken. "Zeke, I know you want to fight but..." her hand hovered over the pokeball, ready to grab it to recall her Pokemon, but, a hand grabbed her arm, stopping her. "Let him fight Kairi. He doesn't look like he's going to act like he did last time," Tsura whispered to her friend. She was right, Zeke didn't look like he was going to crazy again, the look of bloodlust was gone from his eye for the moment. Kairi nodded, smiling at Tsura for a moment before turning her attention back to Takashi. "Alright then Zeke, Flamethrower." The Combusken hesitated for a moment before letting off a stream of flames towards the Dustox. The Poison Moth Pokemon flew slightly to the side, one of it's wings getting singed by the flames. Takashi grinned for a moment as her Dustox flew over the opposing Combusken, spreading Poison Powder over it. Zeke flinched as he realized what had happened, the effects of the poison kicking in, his body shuddering involuntarily. Kairi recalled Sylar and Drao, who had still been sitting around. Griselda and Renata rushed into the battlefield, getting into battle-ready stances. Renata lunged at the Shedinja, trying to hit it with Fury Swipes but going straight through him. The Nidorina snarled, and lunged at it again, this time aiming to clamp down on it with a Bite attack. The Shedinja couldn't stop the incoming attack this time, tumbling to the ground, Renata standing over it. Griselda shot off a Rock Blast at the Weezing, trying to knock it down with the rocks. "Zeke! Try another Flamethrower! Renata, finish off the Shedinja. And Griselda, one more Rock Blast!"
Zeke let loose a second Flamethrower, but the Dustox flew to the side again, only getting singed once more. This time, however, the Dustox's wing caught on fire, the attack having caused a burn. And when a moth's wing got burned, it really burned. The Dustox started flying erratically, trying to get the flames to go out, though it only caused them to increase in size. Renata used Bite one last time, finishing off the Shedinja, glaring at Takashi for a moment before sticking her tongue out at the girl, running back towards her own trainer. Takashi recalled her Shedinja, a look of panic on her face from seeing her trusted partner get taken down by the Poison Pin Pokemon. And she could see that her Dustox was about to be taken down as well, the effects of it's burn worsening. At the sight of it all, Takashi recalled her Pokemon and before Kairi could do anything to stop her, she turned and ran, trying to head deeper into the forest. Zeke, seeing his opponent was gone now, decided to chase after Takashi, knowing by the look on Kairi's face that this trainer was to be stopped. The Combusken ran as quickly as he could and tackled Takashi to the ground, pinning her there until Kairi and Tsura could catch up. The Team Ninja leader squirmed beneath the Combusken, trying to get him to move. "Get off of me!" she grumbled, only to have the Young Fowl Pokemon glare at her with one eye to get her to shut up.
"Good job Zeke," Kairi said with a smile, resting a hand on the Combusken's head for a moment. Zeke let Takashi up then, and Kairi grabbed the girl's arm. The bug Pokemon overhead flew around frantically, some of them unsure what had been going on below them, though they knew that something was up. The redhead pointed up to the Beedrill and Butterfree that were above them. "You see those? They aren't happy with you. If you took things any further... You could have gotten seriously hurt. The Pokemon are wild, and they aren't to be messed with." Takashi glared at Kairi for a moment, trying to get away from her before the words sank in. "You want me to leave them alone? Fine. I will. Now let me go so I can at least leave with my dignity..." Takashi's words trailed off, but Kairi released her. Takashi only looked at the girls standing before her for a moment before running off. Kairi was starting to look rather drained, the events of the day had worn her out. Maybe not physically, but, mentally. And for a moment, it looked like Kairi was going to... Nevermind. Kairi slumped to the ground, unable to force herself to stand any longer. She made no attempt to move now.
Tsura glanced down at her friend for a moment, shaking her head slightly. "You never were very good at keeping yourself under control. Or healthy for that matter. God, Kairi... You look awful. What have you been doing to yourself?" Green eyes showed their concern as Tsura crouched down, trying to help Kairi up. The redhead said nothing, letting the brunette help her up. Renata stood close to her trainer, reaching up to Kairi's belt to tap Griselda's pokeball, recalling the Rhyhorn. The Nidorina reached up to tap Zeke's pokeball as well, only to notice that the Combusken was also helping keep Kairi on her feet. Kairi looked down to the Poison Pin Pokemon with a smile, and reached up to the pokeball that hung off of her necklace. "You deserve some time to rest Renata. You took quite the beating out there today... You can rest now..." Kairi's words were quiet, and she recalled the Nidorina to her Pokeball.
"Hey Tsura..?" "Yes, Kairi? "Think you could help me get back to base? Kairi asked, turning her head slightly to face Tsura properly. Tsura didn't say anything for a moment, but she nodded and smiled. There was still a look of concern in her eyes for the younger girl. Kairi smiled back weakly. She wasn't sure what had come over her, but she felt so... so weak. She'd feel awful later about letting Tsura help her like this, but for now... It was nice that she had her friend back. Except... Kairi frowned again, and Tsura just waited until the redhead found the right words. "You're just gonna leave again, aren't you Tsura?" The words stung, though Kairi didn't mean for them to. "No Kairi, I won't leave again. I'm sorry if my leaving hurt you before, but, I won't do that again. Besides, I want to see this team of yours you mentioned earlier," she said, sticking her tongue out. Kairi smiled, and the two girls walked. With Tsura on one side, and Zeke on the other, Kairi knew that she'd be able to make it back alright.

Thievery: The Other Contestant's Choice Created by: Darksol88
Thievery is commonplace, no matter where one goes or does. It'll happen with or without another's influence. That said, it's not uncommon to see it in a place where few would expect it. There's been a string of thefts around Lilycove City, in a constant pattern. Once per week, one of the contests is hit. Which one and which day, those are the only unknown factors. Just that it happens too frequently for anyone's liking, and that someone loses a prized Pokemon. Worse yet, it's done under people's noses; there's word that this person is in the contests as well.
So, I'd like for someone to head there and try to subdue whoever's behind it all. Go with stealth, enter the contest, do whatever you must. This is a chance to show just what you can do, so get to it!
Objectives: - Subdue whoever is behind the recent thefts - Return the stolen Pokemon to their rightful owners
Pokemon: - Given the type of mission this is, I advise against snagging any Pokemon from the thief. For all we know, they could be from these thefts as well. You may catch one on the way otherwise, or you can risk it and may get an Egg.
Rewards: - One to three Snag Coins, varies from there.Dante was excited. No. MORE than excited to be here right now. This was Lilycove City after all! And this was a place that Dante had always wished he could visit. He had heard that the contests here were absolutely amazing, and as a child growing up watching the contests in Hearthome, he had always wondered just how amazing the contest in Lilycove could be. He already thought that the contests in Hearthome were pretty amazing, but, what he saw in this day was even more than he could have ever dreamed for. He had been told that there had been the stealing of Pokemon here by Kairi, who really hadn't seemed all that interested, but then of course Tsura had to come in and convinced Dante to go and see what was going on. He couldn't help but wonder if the brunette girl could tell just how much he loved contests, or if there had been some other reason she had pushed him into going, but, he was glad that he had listened to Kairi's friend. Although, thinking of her made his heart pound in his chest, and a giddy smile was spread across his face. He was still rather confused regarding his feelings toward the cute and friendly female, but, he didn't care right now. Because hey... He was in Lilycove City!! Dante had to contain a squeal when he had arrived, being overly excited about being here.
----------- It had been three hours and Dante still had seen neither hide nor hair of the supposed thief, and he was beginning to wonder if there even was a thief. The blue-haired boy had spent the last few hours watching some of the contests, and it seemed that nothing unusual had occurred during them, and so, he decided to investigate. And how would he do this? By joining in on the next contest of course! It would be a little while until the next contest actually started, but, Dante would walk up to the front desk at the Contest Hall to sign him and his Pokemon up. For this particular contest, Dante had decided to use his Shuppet, Facilier. Dante had managed to wrangle the Shuppet into wearing a black tophat that was adorned with an image of a skull and crossbones. Facilier was never really very happy when Dante tried to put things on him, but, he had to admit that he liked the hat.
Having gotten himself and Facilier signed up, Dante head to the back, where all the contestants gathered before the contest started. There wasn't too many people back here (probably because most of the regulars had lost their prized Pokemon to the thief), but there was a few people. Twin girls, one with a Plusle, and the other a Minun were sitting together, chatting quietly but excitedly with each other and their Pokemon. There was a guy and girl who were sitting together, though both were silent. Dante could see that the guy had an Absol with him, and the girl had a Delcatty sitting beside her. And then there was one last girl, who appeared to be crying, looking about frantically for something. Dante, concerned for the girl, strode over to her.
"Excuse me miss, are you okay?" "No, I'm not okay! My darling Kirlia is missing and I can't find her!" Dante flinched as the woman started yelling at him. She had long, blonde hair, and brown eyes. He couldn't help but notice that she was wearing a rather pretty white dress and green hat, styled after her partner Pokemon. Dante frowned and it was obvious that he was concerned for the woman. "Do you know where it might have gone, or who might have taken it?" he asked, putting a hand on the girl's shoulder in an attempt to calm her down. She shook her head, tears rolling down her cheeks. Suddenly though, her eyes seemed to light up, and she glared over Dante's shoulder. "I don't know for sure, but, I have my suspicions. You see those two girls over there? The ones with the Plusle and Minun? They've been using different Pokemon lately, ones that they didn't have before. Those Plusle and Minun... Those are the only ones that I remember them having. I don't want to accuse anyone, but.." "You think they might be the ones who've been stealing Pokemon?" Dante asked, one eyebrow raising slightly. The girl nodded vigorously, and Dante sighed. He didn't want to confront the two girls at the same time (if they were even the ones causing all this trouble in the first place), and so, he would wait.
----------- The contest had started now, the man with the Absol, and the lady with the Delcatty had both gone up already, and next up was one of the twin girls. When she went up, Dante would confront the other girl, he and Facilier just had to wait a tiny bit longer. The blue-haired boy looked over to where his Shuppet wa- err... Had been? Where did Facilier go? Dante's eyes widened, and he decided that he couldn't wait any longer. This had gone too far now. He stomped right on over to the two girls, glaring at them from behind his glasses. The two looked up at him and smiled innocently from their seats. "Yes, sir?" "How may we help you?" The two spoke one right after the other. Dante, although usually calm, continued to glare at them. "I have reason to believe that you two are the ones stealing Pokemon from the people taking part in the contests," he spoke through clenched teeth, trying his best not to freak out entirely. The two girls suddenly had a devilish look in their eyes as they stared up at Dante. "Are you missing one of your Pokemon, sir?" "Because we think we saw your... Shuppet, was it?" "Oh yes. Yes, we did~" "Stop that! Are you the ones stealing Pokemon, or not?" "Maybe~" "Maybe not~" The two girls were making it incredibly difficult for Dante to determine anything, and he was beginning to get incredibly irritated.
It was then that they called for one of the twins to come out. The girl stood, stuck her tongue out at Dante, and strode off, leaving her sister to torment Dante. But, what she wouldn't know, is that when she got up, Facilier would release himself from wherever it was that he had been locked away, which happened to be a room not too far away. In fact, the Shuppet had sort of just phased through the locked door. Actually, in all honesty, he went directly through the lock, unlocking the door in the process, releasing the other Pokemon within. There was a Kirlia, a Skitty, a Pikachu, and various other Pokemon which would go running out of the room, right out into the lobby of the contest hall. The twin who was still sitting in front of Dante suddenly had a look of fear on her face, she shoved her Plusle out of her lap as she got up, causing the Cheering Pokemon to shock her with a Thunder attack. The girl shrieked and fell to the floor. The Plusle looked frightened, realizing that it had just shocked its trainer, it rushed over to her, only to be pushed away. Dante crouched down, staring the girl right in the face. She looked scared, and her Plusle kept trying to get close to her. "Leave me alone you annoying little rodent! I don't want you! The only reason I kept you was because my sister wanted to have matching Pokemon. Back off!" The Plusle frowned and let off a few little sparks from its cheeks before hiding behind Dante. "That's no way to treat a Pokemon, especially one that cares for you. You know, you wouldn't even be in this mess if it wasn't for the fact you and your sister are thieves," Dante muttered. Facilier came in close to the girl, touching his head to hers, his eyes would close. 'You've done a horrible thing miss, and it would be wise if you stayed here until my trainer can get someone to take you and your sister into custody.' Dante would not hear the message that Facilier gave to the girl, but, he would see the intense look of fear in the girl's eyes, and wondered just what it was that the Shuppet had done. Facilier floated back over to his trainer, but, he was actually headed over to the Plusle that was still hiding. Facilier would touch his head to the Plusle's, taking his chance to communicate with it. 'I'm sorry about your trainer, maybe someday you will find someone who cares as deeply for you as you do for them. Until then, stay strong.' The Plusle nodded and looked over to its trainer for a moment, and then looked up at Dante. The young Pokemon looked over to the Shuppet and then pointed to the blue-haired boy as if to ask if maybe this kind trainer could take care of him. Facilier shook his head and frowned slightly. Even if Dante wanted the Plusle, he had been advised not to catch any of the thieves' Pokemon, and that would include this Plusle. Dante crouched down to pet the Plusle's head for a moment, and the Cheering Pokemon smiled up at him.
When the other girl came back in, she had to stop in her tracks, seeing that her sister was sitting on the floor, her Plusle sitting next to the blue-haired boy that had approached them earlier. But the main thing she noticed, was that the room that they had been keeping the Pokemon in, was open, and the Pokemon that had been inside, were gone. She glared at Dante, and the boy stood up again. "What is your problem?" she asked, trying to keep her voice low. "My problem? I'm not the one stealing Pokemon. You and your sister need to wait here with me until someone gets here to deal with you two. You both are going to be in a huge amount of trouble."
----------- Arms crossed over his chest, Dante stared down the twin girls, who just stared back at him in fear. Although Dante was not a very menacing person by himself, Facilier had come up behind him, just barely touching the boy, and readied a Night Shade attack, causing Dante to glow black, his eyes glowing a bright red. Of course, he would not notice this, as he was too focused on the girls cowering in front of him. He had brought the two girls into the lobby of the Contest Hall, and they were sitting in a couple chairs, clinging to one another. Dante had made sure to call the police station from his SNAG, alerting the officers there to the capture of the contest thieves.
Around the room, trainers were shedding happy tears as they were reunited with the Pokemon that had been stolen from them. When Officer Jenny arrived, many of the trainers had left, except for a couple who wished to thank Dante though were nervous because of the black glow that was coming off of him. As Officer Jenny approached the blue-haired boy and the twin thieves, Facilier stopped with his 'attack' and allowed his trainer to look normal again. "So, these two are the ones that have been stealing Pokemon, eh?" Officer Jenny cocked an eyebrow and took a quick look at the two girls, giving them a once-over before looking over to Dante and his Shuppet. "Yes ma'am. They're the ones," Dante said, uncrossing his arms as he spoke. "They had even taken my Shuppet. Luckily, Facilier helped in releasing the stolen Pokemon." The female officer simply looked to the Shuppet for a brief moment and nodded. "Well, I'll be taking these two in now. Thank you for your help sir." And with that, Officer Jenny left with the two girls, their hands behind their backs, bound in handcuffs.
If there was any trainers left that had been waiting to speak to Dante, most had left now, save for one. A familiar looking girl with blonder hair, brown eyes, and was wearing a green hat. A Kirlia stood by her side, and trainer and Pokemon strode up to Dante. "Oh, hey! You were the one I spoke to earlier, right?" "Yes, that was me. I just wanted to thank you for stopping those two, and for getting my Kirlia back," the girl said, resting a hand on her partner's head. "It was no problem, miss. Happy to help, honestly," Dante said with a smile, his blue eyes seeming to sparkle. The girl smiled back at him, and she blushed slightly. "Well, thank you again. I, and everyone else, appreciate your help in getting our Pokemon back," she mumbled, stumbling over a couple of her words. "You're welcome, to all of you. I wish I could stay and chat, however, I must be going," he replied, having checked his SNAG and seeing the time. The girl nodded, and just before she said goodbye to him, she came up close to him and gave Dante a quick kiss on the cheek, causing both of them to blush. The girl gave a quick wave of her hand before running off.
Dante smiled as he watched the retreating back of the girl. He placed a hand on the spot on his cheek where the girl had kissed him, and he couldn't help but blush again. He sighed, turned to look at his Shuppet for a moment, and then turned to leave. It had been a busy day, and Dante was ready to head home.

What if? Created by: SubonicXP
Difficulty: Varies
What if? A question people tend to ask themselves a lot through out life. Most of the time they wonder what if they never made an irreversible mistake, would their lives be better? Sometimes you are better off never knowing the answer to your question. Sometimes things happen for a reason that you cannot understand. But this is your chance to get an answer to your darkest question. I can't ensure you that you will like the answer though, so be careful what you ask.
Now you are probably wondering what the heck I'm talking about right? Well, I thought I would give Snagem a little "gift", I had issued a challenge to someone to capture one of every type of Unown there is. And that person was successful, now if you haven't guessed yet I plan to use the Unown's power to answer your questions. Below our HQ I have set up a stone slab lined room for the Unown to stay and rest, travel down there via the elevator if you wish to have your question answered.
One question is all it takes and the Unown will put you in a reality based on your question, maybe you would like to see the world if you never were born? Any question is acceptable, and don't worry, anything that happens in the what-if reality won't affect your true reality. The Unown only have the power to create a reality based on one simple question, so don't try to get too complicated. One last thing, when you are put into your reality you will be escorted around by one of the Unown so they may take you back when you are done, do not lose track of that Unown! If you lose your Unown escort there is little chance you will ever return home. Good luck, and I pray for you.
(Disclaimer: This mission is just for fun, so go crazy!)
Objective ---Go to the Unown and ask your "what if" question, you will be taken to that reality. Do not lose your Unown escort! It's your ticket home. Also be warned that each Unown have their own...unique personalities.
Opposition ---You tell me.
Pokemon ---None, nothing can be taken out of this alternate reality.
Rewards ---One to five Snag Coins depending on story. ---Rewards will be based off the quality of your mission and question.
[NOTE: I have permission from Tesei Utakata (aka Reno) to use Leslie in this, being that she is Kairi's sister. I also make very subtle reference to Reno himself. As an added note, the ending of this is VERY toned down so as to keep it PG-13, the actual scene taking place would have been a lot more graphic, and I didn't want to include that in this. I really need to stop tormenting Kairi, but, I felt I needed to do this to help get her to fix her relationship with her sister.] An Unown letter K floated around her, eyeing her carefully. It was the one that had decided it would take Kairi to the alternate universe based on her question. A question so carefully thought out that Kairi knew it needed to be asked, no matter how horrible the answer would be. She took in a deep breath, picking her words carefully before she spoke. The Unown shook in anticipation as it waited to teleport the girl away to her alternate reality. “What if I had never ran away from home to escape my mother?” The words finally left her mouth, and Kairi was whisked away by the Unown.
----------- Kairi found herself in her old home, watching a younger version of herself. The younger Kairi couldn't see her, as the Unown had simply made the universe so that Kairi could observe, she would be unable to sway any of the events that would unfold here. It was odd to her, watching her younger self. A girl who hadn't dealt with everything that she had, and yet, this young girl was still quite young. The young redhead was hiding in her room, her long hair curling around her as if it would protect her from harm. Kairi knew it wouldn't. She cursed her hair when she was younger, as her mother had constantly used it as a reason for her hatred of the young girl. She looked so much like her father. Kairi had never truly realized that before. But, seeing her younger self here, she saw the similarities. The younger girl was shaking, and Kairi could see the bruises that littered her arms, her face... every inch of her body.
There was a sudden flash of light, and Kairi was brought to a later point in time. And immediately, the girl cringed. She could hear screaming and cussing coming from the other room. The room she stood in was occupied by a very young Leslie. Her blue eyes shining brightly in fear. The screaming voices obviously scaring her. It was a woman's voice, as well as a man's. The man was screaming something about how Kairi was covered in bruises again, and the woman retaliated saying that she wasn't the one who caused them. That she would never harm her child, and that they were obviously caused by that boy who lived on the streets. She insisted that this boy was a threat to the young Kairi, and that he should be taught a lesson and told to leave Goldenrod. The man didn't believe her, that much was clear. The real Kairi continued to watch her younger sister, and turned her head as the door opened. The younger Kairi strode in, and she immediately closed and locked the door behind her, walking over to her sister, holding the younger girl close, stroking her blonde hair. ”Shhh... it's okay Leslie. I won't let mom hurt you, I promise,” the younger redhead whispered. Kairi could see an almost immediate response in Leslie, the girl no longer shaking as she leaned into her sister's arms and closed her eyes. The real Kairi continued to watch them, intrigued by how close she and Leslie were. It made her heart ache to think of her current relationship with her sister. She had left her behind when she disappeared. Her disappearance caused a huge change in the girl, and that change frightened her. She was used to the bubbly personality of the blonde, but lately she had seemed so serious. Forced to grow up too fast, just as she had. She hated that Leslie didn't have the opportunity to be a kid. An opportunity she wished she had had herself. But, that's not how their cards were dealt. They were the unlucky ones, forced to deal with more grown-up matters much sooner than most kids. Seeing her slightly younger self and a younger version of her sister huddled together, hidden away... It made her realize how badly she wished they had been able to grow up normally. But, no matter what, they would never be able to change those circumstances.
There was another flash of light, and Kairi found that they had only jumped ahead a few days, rather than a few years like before. She was in a different room now, and she could see Leslie's father, his things were all packed up. It was late in the evening, the young Kairi and Leslie fast asleep in their hidey-hole. No... no you can't leave us... You can't do what my father did and leave us with her... Kairi found herself thinking, watching as the man lifted his bags and strode through the front door. Another flash of light, their mother stood screaming at the two girls. Blaming them for her husband leaving. She grabbed Leslie by the hair, and tugged hard, dragging the child towards her. One hand swinging hard and fast. A huge red mark forming on Leslie's face, tears filling her eyes. The young Kairi grabbed her mother's hand, pulling her away from her sister. A look of defiance in her golden eyes. ”Don't you dare hurt my sister again, mother. Hurt me as much as you wish, but don't you dare lay a hand on her,” the young redhead hissed through her teeth. Leslie ran into the other room, just barely watching them through the crack in the door, her hand pressed gently to her throbbing cheek. Kairi watched as her mother beat her younger self. Watched the fear in Leslie's eyes as she watched in horror. Kairi felt tears springing to her own eyes, hating that she had to watch this. It was one thing to be in that situation, it was something else to watch it. Especially when you were watching yourself be beaten. The redheaded girl found herself falling to her knees, clutching at her shirt. She wasn't sure how much more of this she could watch...
There was one last flash of light, nearly blinding Kairi before it began to fade to one final scene. From what Kairi could see, her younger self was out of the house. Kairi tried to leave, to find where her younger self was, and found herself unable to leave. The Unown floated nearby, getting ready to end this reality as soon as this last scene was over. It already knew that the redheaded girl who had asked the question wouldn't like what she would see next. The fact that the Pokemon was floating so close to her made Kairi nervous. She wasn't quite sure what she was about to see, but, she knew it couldn't be good.
She made her way over to the door of the room that she and Leslie shared, phasing through it, as she didn't actually exist in this reality. What she saw next horrified her. To describe such a graphic scene would be wrong, so... all you need to know, is that the redhead crumpled to the floor as she saw her young sister laying broken on the floor in a pool of blood. The younger Kairi charged in, seeing her mother crouched over her sister. The young girl shoved her mother out of the way, pulling her sister towards her, holding her close, trying to hold back tears. ”How... How could you do this to her?! She was innocent! Why... why...?” the young Kairi sobbed, rocking back and forth with the lifeless body of her sister clutched tightly in her arms. The real Kairi wanted to pull both of them to her, to sob with them and comfort the younger version herself, but of course, she couldn't. She looked over to the Pokemon floating nearby, a look of pure agony on her face. ”Take me back. Now!” she screamed. There was a flash of light, and for a brief moment, Kairi thought she saw her younger self look at her as she disappeared, though of course this could easily have been a trick of the light.
----------- Safely back at HQ, Kairi stormed away from the chamber which held the Unowns. Her whole body was shaking violently, and she felt like was going to be sick. She eventually found herself up in her room, collapsing onto her bed. Renata, her Nidorina, released herself from her Pokeball and curled up beside her trainer, seeing how distraught her trainer was, she seemed to understand Kairi needed her. Finally calming down, Kairi drifted into sleep. When she woke, she would go looking for her sister. Just to make sure that she was okay. The alternate reality couldn't affect anything here, but, she still wanted to make sure. After all, those illusions were pretty realistic.

Lavender Town Ghosts Created by: RhymeJW
In Lavender Town lies the Pokemon Tower, home to deceased Pokemon. Of course, people in the town believe in ghosts and believe that the Pokemon haven't properly been put to rest. So, a group of town residents have been going to Pokemon Tower and digging up Pokemon out of the grave, thinking that digging them up and putting them out in a field may help. Now, for some reason, the police hasn't reacted to this at all. Your job is to go and stop these residents. You'll battle 2-5 residents that have two Pokemon. Then you'll face the leader of the group who has four Pokemon.
Objectives: -Defeat 2-5 residents that have two Pokemon -Defeat the Leader who has four Pokemon (Make sure the Pokemon are according to your rank)
Pokemon: You may catch/snag ONE Ghost Pokemon according to your rank
Rewards: One to three Snag Coins, rest based on story.[NOTE: This mission is still a WiP. It will be finished ASAP.] When Dante had heard that the residents of Lavender Town were taking it upon themselves to dig up dead Pokemon and move their bodies, he knew something was seriously wrong. And the blue-haired boy knew deep in his heart that these people needed to be stopped. Not only was it morally wrong to disturb the final resting place of these Pokemon, clearly it was going to disrupt the peace that had been achieved with the Ghosts of the town. As soon as Dante had heard what was going on, he Claydolported over to Lavender Town, not wanting to risk getting lost on his way there. This was too important for him to screw it up, and he knew that his sense of direction was too horrible to get him there soon enough.
And so, that's how Dante ended up in Lavender Town, staring up at the Pokemon Tower, which almost seemed to touch the sky. Fog covered the town, making it hard to see most of the buildings around the Ghost town. It certainly looked eerie, and it was enough to send shivers up Dante's spine. No, wait... that was caused by the hand that was currently resting on his shoulder! Dante whipped around, trying to locate the owner of the hand, to no avail. No one was there, and Dante immediately began to panic. Even Ratchet, his Pikachu, seemed to be shaking as he sat on Dante's other shoulder. Dante placed a hand on the Mouse Pokemon's head in an attempt to calm him, immediately feeling Ratchet's body relax when his trainer began to pet him gently. Although they couldn't see it, both trainer and Pokemon felt something floating around them, and they had to strain their ears to try and listen to what was being said within the rushes of air. 'Leave this place human... You are not welcome here!' The voice was chilling, and Dante found himself shivering again as something seemed to pass through his chest, knocking the wind out of him in the process. Dante dropped to his knees, trying to catch his breath enough so that he could get up again. But, before he could get up... “Are you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost,” a soothing, feminine voice called out to him, and Dante looked up.
Standing above him... was a girl. Curly, bluish-green hair with lilac colored tips framed her pale, slightly rounded face. Large yellow and red eyes stared down at him, a gentle smile gracing her pale lips. Around her neck, a rosary made of red, perfectly spherical gems, currently dangling ever so slightly forward as she leaned over him. Her dress was almost the same color as her hair, flowing around her. Despite the clearly obvious hints that were provided to him, the only thing that Dante found odd about this girl, was the fact that she wasn't wearing any shoes. The blue-haired boy found himself admiring the girl's petite figure, the way the dress fitted her... she was remarkable. It wasn't until the girl started looking concerned that he realized he had been staring at her instead of answering her question. “Y-yes... Yes, I'm okay. No need to look so worried,”Dante mumbled, smiling as he spoke. The girl returned the smile, and offered Dante her hand. He reached out and clasped her small hand in his own, and she helped him to his feet. “We haven't gotten many visitors around here lately, so, it's nice to see a friendly face once in a while,” the girl chimed, still smiling. “I'm Oktavia by the way, and you are..?” she looked at the boy expectantly, patiently awaiting his response. ”I'm Dante. It's nice to meet you Oktavia. What are you doing out here by yourself, anyways? I heard that the Ghosts around here have been rather violent lately,” Dante said, a look of concern on his face. “Hmm? Oh, the Ghosts don't bother me. They have been violent, yes, but, they're quite angry with the residents of the town. Or at least, a select few of them...” Oktavia's voice wavered a little. “I've tried to talk to them, to say that the humans mean no harm, but, they won't listen to me...” Dante nodded, and turned to face the tower again.
”Do you know which of the residents are disturbing the Ghosts?” Dante asked, still staring up at the tower. With his back turned, he missed the red, misty glow coming from Oktavia's eyes as she stared at the back of Dante's head. The glow had disappeared by the time Dante turned to look at her again, a questioning look in his own crystal blue eyes. “Yes, I do... I can lead you to them. But first, you need to speak with someone else. She can give you more details on what's going on,” she said, practically staring Dante down. She grabbed a hold of his hand then, and raced into the Pokemon Tower. Dante faintly noticed that the girl's hand was icy cold, but thought nothing of it for the moment. Suddenly, she stopped moving, turning to look at Dante again. “Do you have a Ghost Pokemon, Dante? She might not speak to you unless she can see that you're a friend of the Ghosts,” her eyes seemed to glow again, which Dante only barely noticed. He grabbed a hold of one of the Pokeballs on his belt, and released Facilier, his Shuppet. The Puppet Pokemon immediately drifted over to Oktavia, quickly realizing what the girl really was. He floated around her, trying to understand why she looked the way she did. He got right into the girl's face for a moment, his Ghostly energy spreading and feeling the opposing energy of the girl. Although he could not understand what was going on, he accepted Oktavia quite quickly, and drifted back over to his trainer. Oktavia had stood still whilst the Puppet Pokemon examined her, knowing full well that if he deemed her unnecessary, he likely would have attacked. He had made no attempt to delve into her mind, but, he seemed to understand that she was not as she seemed, and so Oktavia released a sigh of relief when he floated over back to Dante.
”So... are you going to take me to this person you said I need to speak to?” Dante asked, curious as to what kind of person she was, and why it was necessary he speak to her first.”Yes, I will... However... she's not a person...”
----------- Oktavia hadn't explained much more to Dante, in fact, she had completely shut up as she led him up to the top of the Pokemon Tower. It was silent as they walked up the next set of stairs. They just had one last room to go through, one last set of stairs to climb, and then Dante would finally meet whoever it was he was supposed to be meeting. Something was wrong though... It was much too silent, even for a place such as the Pokemon Tower. Oktavia stopped in her tracks, looking to Dante with a look of fear in her eyes. “Something's not right... There should be more Ghosts around...” Just as Oktavia finished speaking, a swarm of Ghosts appeared, coming down the stairs, and through the ceiling. Numerous Duskull, Shuppet, Gastly, Haunters, and many, many others filled the room. Many continued further down the tower, but, a fair amount stayed behind, swarming around Dante and Oktavia. A barrage of sounds would reach Dante's ears, though he was incapable of understanding the many sounds. Finally... “Stop! All of you! One at a time for Arceus sake...” Oktavia apparently had had enough of all the chatter, her eyes glowing fiercely, her hair lifting and floating around her face. It was enough to send chills up Dante's spine, and he could feel the intense energy coming from the girl. Ratchet, still sitting on his shoulder, had crouched down slightly, his ears laying flat against his head. “Chuu...” Dante placed a hand on the Pikachu's forehead, petting him gently in an attempt to calm him.
The chattering from the Ghosts had stopped, and Oktavia seemed to return to normal. The rest of the Ghosts had dispersed except for a few that had stayed to speak to Oktavia calmly, so as not to overwhelm the girl. All Dante could do was sit and watch, unable to understand what the Ghosts were saying. While Oktavia was busy, Dante took this time to think about what Oktavia must be. It was clear that she certainly wasn't normal, but, she had such a powerful connection with all the Ghost Pokemon, that he was starting to think that she was a Ghost Channeler. It made the most amount of sense to him at the moment, so, that's what he had decided to believe. He'd ask her later, once things were all settled down. Oktavia had been listening to the three remaining Ghosts rather intently, nodding when it was necessary. Finally, she turned to Dante again. “It seems that a few of the residents were in here again today, and... Well... it seems they have moved her body elsewhere,” she mumbled, hoping that Dante would understand. ”Her? Her who..?” So much for Dante understanding. Oktavia sighed, and rested one hand on her cheek as she thought for a moment. “The body of the Mismagius who resides at the top of the tower. She acts as a motherly figure to many of the Ghosts here, and she's very powerful, but.... They moved her body. The one that is buried here, and so keeps her bound to the tower. With her body gone, she's gone with it...” ”Well then we have to get her body back. We have to get all of the Pokemon back that have been removed from their resting places... Before the Ghosts are angered further,” Dante responded to Oktavia's words almost immediately. ”But first, we should see how bad the damage is upstairs...”
Up the stairs they went, walking in silence. Dante just hoped that the damage wasn't too bad, and that they'd be able to fix everything before all the Ghosts got too worked up again. As they entered the single room at the very top of the tower, they stopped in their tracks. Over by one of the graves, was a man. The grave itself was untouched, the man simply knelt down beside it, and it sounded like he was crying. However, Oktavia didn't hear this, and in her own fit of rage at the fact there was still someone here, possibly defiling the graves, she rushed forward and dove her hand straight into the man's back, causing him to jump. Dante looked a little frightened as he saw that Oktavia's hand had in fact phased through the man's body. The girl herself was starting to look a little transparent, her hair flying everywhere, her eyes glowing fiercely. The man turned around, crying out at them to stop. “Please! Don't hurt me! I was just here to check on my dear Pidgeot's grave... She passed away many years ago, and I wanted to make sure that she hadn't been moved,” he said, tears in his eyes. Oktavia seemed to calm down, and she removed her hand from the man's body, her own form solidifying again. Dante opened his mouth to speak when he suddenly heard someone coming up behind them. “Hey! No one's supposed to be up here when we're moving Pokemon, no exceptions!” a girl's voice called out. Dante turned to face her, seeing her glaring at him from halfway down the stairs. ”You shouldn't be moving these Pokemon in the first place! You're disturbing all the Ghosts!” Dante called back.
Rather than saying anything else, the girl tossed out a Pokeball, releasing the Gastly that was contained within. Facilier floated forward to take on the Pokemon, but, Oktavia suddenly shoved Dante aside, moving swiftly past the Shuppet. A light engulfed her, blinding everyone in the room. When the light disappeared, there was a Misdreavus in the place where Oktavia had been. ”Wait... You're actually a Misdreavus?!” Dante couldn't help but shout, and then immediately covered his mouth. Oktavia, now in her true form, turned to look at him and gave him a look that was quickly translated into 'Really? You couldn't figure this out before?' that caused Dante to look sheepishly down at his shoes. The blue-haired boy wasn't quite sure what to do, but, he knew that Oktavia needed his help, and he would continue to help her in any way that he could. Facilier floated on over, staying close to Oktavia, having quickly picked up on his trainer's intentions. “Fine, you wanna double battle? We'll double battle!” the girl with the Gastly screamed, sending out a second Pokemon, a Haunter. “Both of you, Shadow Ball!” The Gastly aimed its attack at Oktavia, while the Haunter focused on Facilier. Oktavia attempted to dodge, but was hit by the Gastly's attack, tumbling backwards. ”Facilier, Faint Attack!” The Shuppet quickly hid itself in the shadows. The incoming Shadow Ball missed Facilier, but dove straight into Dante's stomach, causing him to drop to his knees for a moment. Facilier came up behind the Haunter, charging into it while surrounded in the shadowy Dark energy. The Haunter stumbled and tried to swipe at Facilier, who floated backwards quickly, although, he had caused himself to be cornered now. Seeing her comrade in trouble, Oktavia sent a Psywave at the Haunter, causing him to float down to the floor, knocked out. Facilier nodded at the Midreavus female in thanks. The two Ghosts decided to team up against the Gastly, sending out there respective attacks at the same time, knocking him out as well. The owner of the Ghosts recalled her Pokemon, and immediately ran off in the opposite direction without saying a word.
Oktavia seemed to glow again, and returned to her more human form. Dante looked at her, with a rather confused look on his face. ”Why are you able to do that?” he asked calmly. Oktavia looked sheepishly down at her bare feet. “I'm only able to do this because Mismagius picked me to find someone to help out all the ghosts. Once everything is back to normal, I'll be stuck as a Misdreavus.. But, unlike her, I'm able to freely leave this place. So, if I wanted, I could travel the world and never come back. After this is all over I'd still like to do that, I don't need to be human,” she said, running her fingers through her hair. ”Well Oktavia... I'll help you with everything here, and then... How about you come with me? I could always use someone new to help me along the way,” Dante offered with a gentle smile. Oktavia's eyes lightened up, and she smiled and quickly grabbed a hold of Dante's hands in her own. “Really?! I can come with you? Oh, that would make me so happy!” she said, releasing Dante's hands and spinning around in a circle, her dress flowing around her. Dante smiled again, and both trainer and Pokemon started to head back down the stairs. It seemed that none of the other residents of the town were in the Pokemon Tower, besides the man that had been checking on his Pidgeot's grave anyways.
----------- “There they are! They're the ones who were in the Pokemon Tower!” Dante and Oktavia had only just stepped out of the Pokemon Tower when they heard the familiar voice of the girl they had defeated earlier. Standing beside her, was two trainers, a guy and a girl. “Don't worry, we'll take them down. They aren't going to stop us from finishing this job,” the two trainers said in unison, both sending out a Pokemon each, a Shuppet and a Duskull. Oktavia stepped forward, but Dante placed a hand on her shoulder and just shook his head. ”Let me handle this,” he whispered. Facilier floated onto the battlefield, and he was quickly joined by Ratchet, who had jumped off of Dante's shoulder and onto the ground, sparks lighting his cheeks. “Shuppet-” “Duskull-” “Night Shade!” The two trainers' voices interlocked, and both of their Pokemon's eyes started glowing purple. ”Facilier, Shadow Sneak! And Ratchet, use Thundershock!” Dante's voice rang clear, and both of his Pokemon moved swiftly to avoid the oncoming attacks. Facilier quickly faded into the shadows, coming up behind the other Shuppet and ramming into him with the Ghost attack. However, the other Shuppet quickly retaliated with another Night Shade, causing Facilier to tumble backwards. Ratchet let loose a Thundershock against the Duskull, throwing it off guard, its eyes no longer glowing as it drifted to the ground.
While the Pokemon were in the midst of their battle, and Dante was distracted by watching them, the two opposing trainers would sneak into the shadows. The blue-haired boy would not know what was happening until it was too late. Oktavia shrieked as one of the two trainers body-checked her and pinned her to the ground so she couldn't move. Dante would suddenly have a hand covering his mouth, and someone wrapping one arm around him, attempting to bring the boy down. However, the trainer had misjudged Dante, not realizing that the boy did have some strength to him. A gasp could be heard as Dante bit down on the hand that was covering his mouth, which caused the grip around his body to loosen, allowing Dante to elbow the man behind him in the stomach, causing him to fall to his knees. Ratchet, seeing that his trainer was under attack, decided to ignore the fallen Duskull, rushing over to his trainer and letting loose a Thundershock which would hit the man that was currently on his knees. A cry of pain released itself from the man as he was electrocuted. Just as Dante went to grab his Pikachu to get him to stop, Ratchet was knocked to the side in a blur. When the two Pokemon stopped moving, Dante would see that the Duskull had managed to recover though it seemed to be wavering a bit as it floated around. Ratchet, however, struggled to get back onto his feet, only to slump to the ground in defeat. The Payback attack had done its damage and the Duskull drifted toward its trainer.
Dante rushed over to his Pikachu, recalling him back into his Pokeball. When Dante turned around, everyone would be gone. Like they had never even been there to begin with. Facilier floated over to Dante, looking around in confusion. Both trainers had disappeared without a trace... And... Oktavia! Where was she?! ”No... No, this can't happen... I was supposed to help her, to protect her!” Dante said, falling to his knees, his hands clutching his head. Tears sprang into his crystal blue eyes, and he could feel himself shaking. Facilier bobbed about, finally ramming into Dante's head in an effort to get the boy's attention. The boy did finally look up, tears in his eyes, to see what Facilier was trying to get his attention about. In the distance, Dante could see them. He could see Oktavia! Taking a deep breath, Dante stood up, dusting himself off as he did so. ”C'mon Facilier... we can do this!” The blue-haired boy would start running towards the group, Facilier floating along behind him.
As soon as they had almost caught up to the group, Dante bolted. He ran as quickly as he could, tackling the guy who had taken him off guard before. In a fit of rage, Dante found himself actually punching this guy in the face. The guy's female companion, who still had a hold of Oktavia, screamed. “No! Please! Don't hurt my brother! We were forced to do this!” she called out. Dante looked up from what he was doing, seeing the tears that were streaming down the girl's face. The look in her eyes said it all. She was telling the truth. Teeth grinding a little in anger, Dante released the guy, standing up again to stare down the girl. ”And who forced you to do this exactly?” Dante asked, his voice angry, but wavering slightly. So much for trying to intimidate people. Dante wasn't exactly the most intimidating guy around, and his voice going all weird on him certainly wasn't helping anything.
“The guy that insists on moving all the bodies from the tower... He... he threatened to hurt our younger sister if we didn't kidnap this stupid girl...” “Hey!” “Sorry, those were his words not mine. We didn't have a choice... We don't want her to be hurt... It's... it's not worth fighting back...” the guy said, the fear in his voice was apparent. “A lot of this guy's groupies actually don't want anything to do with him. He's just abusing the fact that we all have people we care about. We don't know why he holds a grudge on the Pokemon of the tower, but, no one here is able to stop him...” the girl went on, since her brother had gone silent. ”What does this guy want with Oktavia though? What reason would he have for needing her?” Dante asked, genuinely curious. The two siblings looked at each other for a moment, as if trying to decide whether or not they should tell this guy the truth. The guy nodded once, and turned to look at Dante. “He wants her so that he can easily use the Mismagius. Seems she has some sort of attachment to her,” he said, looking over to her with a questioning look. Oktavia's eyes widened at hearing that. Dante looked over to Okatavia as well, curious as to just how close she was to the Mismagius. ”Oktavia? Do you know why he might think that?” Dante asked, just wanting to understand everything. Oktavia stayed silent, not wanting to say anything quite yet. Dante didn't need to know her true connection to the Mismagius quite yet... No, she would leave that for later. Deciding it was better not to push her further, Dante looked back to two trainers. ”Take us to him. Act like I'm your prisoner or something. Just... we need to stop him, please.”
----------- Dante's hands were tied behind his back. And he was being dragged along by the two trainers from before, Oktavia walking along beside him. They had left the town now, on the route just north of it instead. It seemed this guy didn't like staying in Lavender Town for too long. Regardless, it seemed they were almost at his hideout. The group was silent, all of them focused on the task at hand. Dante could see a small cabin in the distance. It seemed they would be confronting this guy pretty soon. Dante just hoped that he was prepared to take this guy on.
It was the girl who knocked on the door, the guy kept a hold of Oktavia and Dante while she did so. At first, there was no answer, and it seemed that maybe this guy wasn't home. The girl knocked again, louder this time. “We know you're here! We've got the girl! Just like you asked... We also found a troublemaker that we thought you might be interested in dealing with,” she said, looking over at Dante for a moment. The sound of footsteps could be heard inside. As soon as they stopped, the door swung open. A tall man with black hair stood there, there was dark circles under his deep, brown eyes. A smirk would creep onto his face as he saw Oktavia. “Perfect. Now maybe I can get this damned Mismagius to do what I want,” he said, walking up to Oktavia and putting one hand under her chin. “Don't you dare touch me, or hurt her either,” Oktavia hissed through clenched teeth. “Oh, I'll do whatever I want darling~ You two will cooperate.” Oktavia's eyes started to glow a little, causing the female trainer to let her go in shock. “What the hell? What are you?!” she shrieked. “Hey! What exactly did you put us up against?” the male trainer asked, looking at Oktavia in awe as her hair started to whip around her face wildly. “My mother would never cooperate with the likes of you!” Oktavia screamed. Dante's eyes widened in shock. Her mother? He supposed it was entirely possible that the two were related, being that Oktavia was actually a Misdreavus, but... She had mentioned something about their bodies being buried in Pokemon Tower, hadn't she? Of course, Oktavia had also said that she wasn't bound to the tower like the Mismagius was. Was it possible that she came into being after her mother became a Mismagius? It would certainly explain why she could leave the tower when the Mismagius couldn't.

Micromission: Our New Responsibility
So, we have Zygarde with us. Part of it, at least. I think. Or Zac, as it's been affectionally called. Anyway, it's still trying to get used to being around us and around the HQ, though it seems anxious about something. We're not sure exactly what has it anxious, but it wouldn't hurt for Zac to become more accustomed to us and taking care of it's kinda become our responsibility. So, in less words... maybe take care of the "dog" a bit? Think of it as a little one-on-one time with Zac that might ease its worries. There could be something in it for you, too. Win-win, right?
Objective Take care of Zac for a little bit, simple as that. It might warm up a bit if your Pokemon are out and about with you, too.
Opposition If taking care of a legendary that's assumed the form of a dog brings about opposition, I'm asking GRAY to print a statue to join the one he made of Beau. Seriously, though, there shouldn't be any opposition to worry about.
Due Date November 21st, 2016, before the Team Mission begins.
Loud snoring seemed to trail through the hallways of HQ. An odd sound, considering it was pretty late in the afternoon, but, apparently one Snagem member was still asleep. Said member was currently tucked away in their room, draped over the edge of their bed, an empty bottle clutched in their hand. A few other bottles were strewn around the room. Clearly, the hybrid hanging off the bed was sleeping off a rather nasty hangover. However, Silver was about to get a rather rude awakening.
A loud, high pitched beeping would come out of Silver's SNAG, causing the Houndoom hybrid to jolt awake and fall from their position on the bed, landing hard on the floor. “Okay, what gives? Can't I sleep in peace?” Silver would growl out angrily, clutching at their now throbbing head.
“It's your turn to take care of Zac,” an annoyingly familiar voice rang out from Silver's SNAG, replacing the obnoxious beeping that had been coming out of it before.
“Who, or what, is Zac?” Silver would growl, rubbing their eyes with one clawed hand.
And despite the question being asked, Silver was greeted with silence. The hybrid would let out another growl before pulling themself up from the floor. Better to find out what they're getting themselves into now instead of waiting any longer. Silver would grab one of their pokeballs, releasing the Cubone within it. Asriel would look up at his trainer, unsure as to why he had been let out. Silver would start walking out of their room, Asriel trailing behind them for a moment until the Cubone latched onto Silver's pant leg, leading the hybrid away from any obstacles.
It was as the two entered the main area of the base that Silver picked up on the strange scent. It smelled... oddly familiar, and the hybrid couldn't help themselves from lifting their nose into the air to get a better sniff. It was only when Zac barked at them that Silver realized what was going on. This was the... oh, what was it? Zygarde? Ah, yes, the Zygarde that had tackled them to the floor and licked their face at the chateau. Silver still didn't remember too much about what had happened after that moment, but, at least they remembered that part. Zac seemed to growl at Silver as the hybrid got closer before finally dashing away to hide under a nearby table.
“So, I'm supposed to take care of this thing somehow?” Silver asked out loud, not really expecting an answer.
Asriel would let go of his trainer's pant leg to walk warily towards Zac. Since the Cubone had decided to investigate, Silver decided to sit down on the floor. Zac was clearly on edge, and Silver didn't want to make the situation any worse. In fact, maybe there was a way to get the dog-like Pokemon to come out and stop growling.
Out would come Kaede and Monster Kid, Silver's Growlithe and Scraggy. The two would run to catch up with Asriel to investigate the newcomer. Zac would still be growling, but, they were starting to quiet down as they watched the trio of Pokemon walking towards them. Their ears would perk up slightly, and the Zygarde would tilt its head as they watched the others carefully. Silver could hear that the growling had stopped, and found themself smiling. However, the hybrid could tell that Zac was still feeling tense, considering they hadn't actually come out of their hiding place quite yet.
Zac would recoil slightly as Asriel reached out a hand to them. However, noticing that the Cubone didn't seem to make any other move, Zac would sniff at Asriel's outstretched hand for a moment before deciding to lick it. The Cubone would stare at Zac, clearly confused by this turn of events. Monster Kid would let out a little giggle, prompting Kaede to nudge him when it got to be too much. Asriel would glare at MK for a moment, shaking his head slightly before turning back to Zac. Kaede would approach the Zygarde as well, laying down next to it. Monster Kid would roll his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest as he walked away from the others and back towards Silver.
“What? Don't like that Kaede and Asriel are focused on someone else?” Silver would ask with a snort as the Scraggy climbed into their lap. MK glared up at his trainer for a moment before headbutting them in the stomach. “Oof, hey! That's not okay MK,” Silver would growl, lifting the Scraggy up. Monster Kid would stick his tongue out at his trainer, knowing that the blind hybrid wouldn't be able to see him doing so. Silver's ears would twitch as they listened to the shuffling sound of the trio under the table moving around.
“You coming out? Or are MK and I gonna just have to sit over here by ourselves?”
Kaede would let out a little bark before rushing over to her trainer, Asriel following close behind. The two Pokemon would climb into Silver's lap, making themselves comfortable. The two would gesture at Zac, who was watching them carefully from their place under the table. Silver would set Monster Kid down next to the other two in their lap, trying to not focus too much on Zac, despite Kaede's and Asriel's attempts to get the Zygarde to come over.
Finally though, Zac would creep out from their hiding place, inching forwards. Silver would turn their sightless eyes towards the Pokemon, causing Zac to stop in its tracks, flopping down where it was standing and resting their head against the floor as they gazed up at Silver warily. Kaede would bark a couple times, jumping out of Silver's lap to butt her head against Zac in an attempt to get them to stand again. Eventually, the Growlithe was able to convince their new friend to get up. And because she wanted Zac to properly meet her trainer, she chose to stay right beside the dog-like Pokemon, letting them lean on her slightly.
Silver would reach a hand out towards Zac, allowing the Pokemon to sniff them if it needed that confirmation that the hybrid was okay. Kaede sniffed first, and Zac followed suit, giving a gentle lick afterwards. Kaede would yip in excitement after that, jumping into Silver's lap again. All three Pokemon shuffled to make room for Zac in case they decided to join.
“I promise I'm not gonna bite, Zac. You can trust me,” Silver would say as calmly as possible, trying to tone down the growl that was naturally embedded in their tone.
Zac, deciding that Silver was indeed safe, chose to leap onto Silver, knocking the hybrid backwards. And before Silver could sit up again, Zac would place their paws on Silver's chest, pinning them down as they chose to cover the hybrid's face with licks. Silver would place one clawed hand on Zac's head, trying to keep them from going too much further. Following Zac's example, Kaede, Asriel, and Monster Kid all piled on top of Silver's chest, showering their trainer with love alongside their new friend.
A few hours later, Silver found themselves still pinned to the floor, Zac sprawled across their chest, and their Growlithe, Cubone, and Scraggy asleep all around the Zygarde. It was a good thing that Silver didn't have anywhere to be, it was clearly going to be a while before they could get up again.
