Wild wolves and dogs had never been much of an issue for the people of Kirigakure. This was due primarily to the actions of entry level ninja, such as Shinzu Akara and Gennosuke Murakami. From time to time they'd be assigned to a simple outpost out in the grove, and watch for any packs trying to move through. The reason for thive was two fold, one it kept the streets of the Hidden Mist clean, and two it allowed the Genin to train skills that could be used in an actual conflict.
So for this reason, the previously mentioned Genin where called up, and given thier mission. Now they found themselves just outside the Grove, with some food, water, and supplies to set up an OP, on top of what they normaly carried.

Shinzu yawned lightly as he readjusted his pack, he hated having to get up early for these kind of missions. Oh sure he still did them, they were assigned after all, but for such an active ninja, he could be incredibly lazy at times. "Ready to go Gen?" Shinzu said, as he turned to face his companion, and, for this mission, subordinate. All they had to do was go into the forest, find a spot, set up an OP, and then wait. That was all. Eaither something, or nothing, would happen.

"Oh, yeah," replied Gennosuke walking past Shinzu. It had been a minute since they had seen each other and since then Shinze had changed in Gennosuke's eyes. "Same old same old, right?" joked Gennosuke referring to them being back in the woods hunting dogs. He didn't want the mission to be completely silent so he figured he would try to keep asking questions and bringing up old memories.

Shinzu grinned as he walked side-by-side with Gennosuke. "Yeah, that's right, though I think these days are coming to an end for me." Shinzu said, serious, but with a slight laugh behind it. "Hey, remember that time I ambushed you in the Library?" He said with a grin, these moments where going by so fast for him. As the rank structure showed, Shinzu was becoming more and more senior, he and his squad had even talked of entering the Chuunin Exams. For all he knew in a years time, he could be doing this for real in an enemy country.

He furrowed his brow after Shinzu bought up the library incident. "Yeah remind me to kill you after this mission," he said chuckling. "You almost got us killed by the library and are you still banned?" asked Gennosuke curiously. Shinzu always seemed two steps ahead of him in combat and sneak attacks. Gennosuke had to plan out his prank before he'd attempt to 'return the favor'. For no Shinzu would be safe as neither of them needed to be injured before the mission even started.

"Actually I am haha, not tha I need to go very often anyway, I jsut sneak in when I have to." Shinzu said as they went further and further into the forest, before he finally stopped. "Okay, this seems like a good spot." He said, they'd been able to find a relatively open spot, with a good large view. Dropping his pack Shinzu pulled out some rope and what not and started putting a clever hiding place together. "Here come help me cover this." Shinzu said as he began to spread moss and leaves over the small lean-to.

"Wouldn't it be better to be in a tree?" asked Gennosuke looking around to make sure there were no animals around. "We're pretty low and this makes attacking up easier versus us having the upper hand and being able to sneak attack them," explained Gennosuke as he stopped spreading the moss and stuff around. He hopped into the nearest tree to look out while Shinzu finished up.

Unknown to the two boys, they'd already been found by the wolves, and currently there where three normals circling them, with an Alpha further back. With a growl and a charge one wolf went after Gennosuke barking at the base of his three, while the remain two normals went after Shinzu. Gnarling one went at Shinzu's feet, while another tried for one of his moss holding hands.

Shinzu had just heard the snarling, and barely had time to jump back and drop the moss, thus dodging the bites of both dogs. "Gen, I think I found a pack!" Shinzu yelled up to his comrade, and he lunged at one of the wolves. "Try just to knock them out, we're not here to wipe them out remember!" He also yelled, telling Gennosuke to avoid killing blows. Meanwhile after a swift punch, he grabbed and tossed a wolf a short distance.

Luckily Shinzu avoided both attacks. With Shinzu dealing with those two Gennosuke set his eyes on his opponent. "Barking up the wrong tree mut," he said jumping down aiming a foot at the wolfs head. Good thing as he was sure it would kill it. He landed right in front of the beast nose to nose giving him just enough time to prepare for a retaliation.

The Dog continued to growl at Gennosuke as he fell down at him, and missed utterly. Waisting no time the dog lunged forward, aiming a bite right for his ankle. Meanwhile the dog that had alreay wounded Shinzu was getting back up and running at him, jumping into the air to knock him down. The other backed away as the other jumped, waiting for his turn after Shinzu was on the ground.

Shinzu watched as the wolf jumped at him. pulling back his fist he waited. When the time was exactly right he went for an uppercut on the dog, hitting it squarely in the jaw. The Wolf flew back and hit he ground a few feet away, cleanly knocked out. He then turned his attention back towards the olther dog, and running for a few feet he jump and kicked. "Dynamic Entry!" He yelled as his foot hit the wolf directly in the side, kncking it back a few feet.
