First thing she'd done when she'd hit Amityville ground again was text the Red Dragon: 'I'm back.' It had been a simple and almost uninformative message outside of the fact that it had been informative, before she'd head back to her room to revel in familiarity and do a few touch ups on two things: The knife she'd made and the journal she'd somewhat attempted to keep, making a point to put a fine layer of tape over the leaves so they wouldn't dry out and fall out of the pages, as well as the feathers - amongst all the various other things she'd shoved in there.
Once she was sure both things were ready to go, she'd tied the two items together and waited. Mostly to find out when Jericho wanted her to come meet up with him (and where). She hadn't expected immediately and in that sense she hadn't gotten immediately. Which had given her enough time to clean up, get some bruises FEARhealed (by her own hand! A nice skill, that one was! She'd keep it forever), roughhouse with the minipets.......
Either way, when it was time to head out, she'd gotten ready, grabbed the tied up bundle and headed out, making a point to run for the dorm 'office' of sorts with a teasing text of 'Race you there! =)'

After receiving the text, Jericho felt his nerves act up once more. Today was just an anxious day for him it seemed. He quickly texted back to let her know to meet him in a few hours outside of the dorms area as a whole. That should give them both ample time to relax and get ready.
When it was about time, he took in a deep breath and headed on out. Hopefully the thing he had in mind today would be something Shehk would enjoy. Before he was able to step on out, he received another text from her and he couldn't help but chuckle lightly at it.
Pocketing his phone, he ran on out. Like hell he was going to turn down a race.
Outside, he could sort of see Shehk in the distance running towards their meeting point. And so... he began to flap his wings to give himself a sort of boost towards the 'finish line'. He had never really figured out a way to deal with the grey settling at the bottoms of his wings, but he hoped it wouldn't cause too much of a stir. It should be fine as long as there weren't too many students around in general.

Oh, it was on!
Shehk noticed Jericho's speed boost and countered with one of her own, grinning like an idiot as the faintest of an after-image was left behind her and she seemed to suddenly be launched forward several feet - once again, the open classes were doing well for her, even if it was just out of play this time.
However, the 'stopping' part of being at a mad dash had Shehk nearly crashing to stop, tripping over herself and going tumbling into the grass instead, rolling for a while before just stopping.
And then breaking out into a fit of giggles. Had she won?
Nope.

Wait. What!? Jericho glanced to the side only to see an after image there. Holy Tiamat's s**t she could move fast. Only... she ended up crashing to the ground shortly after. Cringing a bit at the sight of that wipe out, he jogged his way on over before offering a hand to help her back up.
"That was a pretty big trip there. You alright?" he asked with a weak grin. She seemed to be in good spirits to say in the very least. That was a good sign.

Shehk just continued to laugh as she took the offered hand, using it to pull herself up, tail wagging all the while.
"I've had worse meet ups with the ground. Never tried to do that when I was on two feet instead of on all fours.." she flexed the fingers on her hand that was holding the tied together knife and journal bundle before she looked at it, then offered it out to Jericho.
"For you~" she said, a big grin on her face.

Once she was up on her feet, Jericho let go, though his eyes lit up as she presented a little gift for him. It was a knife and a journal of sorts.
"Woah. Is that.. real?" he asked while carefully taking the knife. Sure enough, it was fairly sharp from what he could feel of the edge. He also took a moment to flip through the journal, noticing that it was pretty filled. It was something he would have to read later on for sure.
"Thanks!" he beamed before looking over the knife a little longer. It was hand crafted from what he could tell.
"So how was the trip? Come on. We'll talk while we head to the spot," he said as he began walking towards the woods.

"I hope so! If it isn't, I fantasized the couple of hours I spent on that." she answered, seeming to light up at the fact he seemed to like the knife. "Turns out I've got some sort of hidden skill in knife making or something." she laughed, scratching the back of her head.
As he moved she moved to match his stride, half a bounce in her step. "It was nice! Seemed to get my a** kicked everyday by something or other, but I had a lot of fun." she paused, pulling out her phone to flick through to one of the few pictures she'd taken before holding up said phone to the dragon so he could see the view: or rather, a picture that looked like Shehk had practically thrown herself over the edge of the observation point to take a picture of everything below in the canopy.
"I wasn't lying when I said it was really high up. I was up at the highest point I could climb to when I took that - and it was hard to get up there too!"

"That's a pretty useful skill to have," he grinned. Tucking the two items under his arm, he moved along with her, happy to hear that she seemed to have had fun while she was out. When Shehk showed her phone, he peered over. That was a big higher up than he had personally expected, but it looked pretty amazing really.
"Wow. That's an awesome view... Who would have thought they'd be tree dwellers?" he remarked before stopping.
"Oh. That reminds me... You said you're perfectly fine with heights right? I mean. You had to be if you managed to climb up that high."

"They've all got wings, so it seems like a logical step to make to build their city up off the ground. The ground seemed....suspiciously dangerous from what I could tell, so probably for the better." she explained, "Which made it harder for us to travel. They tried to accommodate us which I appreciated, but there was definitely an extra risk to everything."
Like going splat on the ground.
His question caused her to perk up even more than she already was, a wide grin spreading across her face. "I love 'em." she answered without an ounce of doubt.

That did make sense when she put it that way. Nodding, Jericho put the gifts away then grinned a little deviously at Shehk.
"So then you won't mind me doing... THIS!"
At that, he went on to try and scoop her up prior to taking flight.

Shehk made a surprised noise as she was suddenly scooped up, immediately grabbing onto the dragon and holding on.

Jericho was grinning a little madly as he beat his wings down, taking them higher and higher into the sky. Originally he was thinking of walking to their destination, but this was probably a better idea. Once they were a fair distance up, he slowed their ascent.
"Does the school ground look the same from up here?"

The higher up they got the more Shehk seemed to grin, carefully looking back down towards the ground - or rather the school, since that was what he'd asked.
"The view from up here is fantastic!" she beamed, completely excited by the sudden height development. "Definitely doesn't look the same at all!" the pricolici agreed, looking back to Jericho for a moment before looking back down towards the ground.

Grinning, Jericho began to fly around in slow circles above the school to give Shehk a little more time to see the view.
"Yeah, it's pretty different up here. So then. Since you're my passenger for this flight, I'll let you choose how we get to our destination. Quickly. Or steadily."
He had ideas for both options.

His grin was matched by her own as she continued to just look at everything from the view he was allowing her - she wasn't a flyer. She would never have wings of her own so it was a sort of rare opportunity for her to have - and she seemed to relish it.
"...... Hmmmmm, that's a tough decision." Shehk said after thinking for a moment, looking back to him again. "I pick the fun way." she answered, relatively sure that Jericho would be able to improvise in that sense.
