After being on War Island for a week, it was almost strange yet refreshing to be back on Halloween Soil. The sun here was weaker so everything wasn't quite as bright. The environment wasn't so much of an issue for him though. Shun was anxious to meet up with Mitsu once more. Communication through texting just hadn't worked out all too well to say in the very least.
Once he was back, he went on and dropped his things off at his room, then gave the girl a call to meet him at the school gates. While he would like to relax, the reaper figured it would also be nice to spend some time out with her as they caught up. It was already relieving to be able to hear her voice on the phone. While he was aware the events in the cave were merely a hallucination, he couldn't help but feel a little anxious about her well being as a whole. Was it possible that could happen in the future?
He certainly hoped not.

Mitsu couldn't have moved any faster if she wanted too. The phone call had came as soon as she had stepped through the portal and the lycan barely made time to run back to her room to throw her things through the door and head back out again. If it wasn't for the fact the the stuff would have been in the way she would have just dragged it along with her. She just had to tell herself to be calm, Shun was okay and she had been able to hear his voice. No cryptic text messages but his actual voice. It had been so soothing to hear but she was anxious to see his face.
Her pace had started at a fast walk which shifted to a jog once she left the monster dorms that eventually turned to a full out run as she made her way to the gate to meet up. She was far too excited for her own good, her heart racing once she saw her reaper ahead of her. It was like that time when he had left for two weeks and finally came back. Mitsu couldn't help but smile upon seeing him, not even bothering to slow down as she approached.
"Shun!" That was the only warning he got before she leaped, her arms wrapping around him tightly. "I missed you!"

At the gates, Shun waited. It really wasn't too long before he spotted his lycan running at him full speed. His eye lit up at the sight of her and his arms opened up to catch the girl as she practically jumped onto him. Stumbling back a bit, he wrapped his arms around her tight while swinging around to prevent knocking them both down.
"I missed you too.." he said in a softer tone while he embraced her fully. The worry that had been in his heart melted away. She was here. Really here. Not in the hands of some hunter. Or his father for that matter. Not wanting to ease up on his hold just yet, he closed his eye and soaked in the moment.
"I was worried about you Mitsu.. Are you well?"

They had spun and come to a stop and Mitsu wasted no time coming in close, embracing Shun as he embraced her. Her ears folded back as she nudged under his chin with the top of her head, pleased to feel his warm embrace, to smell him, hear him.
She was only coaxed out of her blissful stupor with a question. "I'm alright," She pulled back only slightly, trying to examine Shun from where she was. "What about you? Are you alright? How is your eye? Have you been taking care of it? You said you were high, you didn't fall did you?" The questions kept pouring out as she looked him over to confirm he was okay. It was probably a bad idea to have leaped at him out of the blue but she had been so excited she couldn't contain herself.

Unconsciously, Shun nuzzled into the top of Mitsu's head before she pulled back to look at him more. He gazed down into her eyes. Her actual eyes. Not that of a shield's.
"I'm fine. The eye has healed more, and no I did not fall. I don't think anyone did. But yes, the people of War live up in trees. How was Death Island? You weren't lonely were you? Did your class go well?" he responded, giving his own little barrage of questions. It wasn't quite like him to do this, but he truly did miss her. That and he wanted to make sure that her time at that island was well.

"Death Island was okay. I was lonely without you but Hel was there a lot to keep me company. And...Sabine." Though Mitsu still wasn't sure why the vampire decided to hang around. She could still hear the words creepsta, and freakacitas, and it made her twitch. Not to mention the ghoul couldn't seem to get her name right.
"Class was good, the gems we used in the jewelry crafting were able to help us in battle. At least a little. They kinda wore out by the end of class but I ended up leaving my piece with the Priestess as an offering. They have a huge library, there are so many books but at lot of them I couldn't read. There was one titled 1999 but I couldn't make sense of any of the diagrams."
Mitsu paused then remembering one of the things she had been able to complete in her down time. Pulling back just slightly she reached into the messenger bag at her side and pulled out a small bundle of cloth. "I was able to finish this while I was there." Her gaze settled on the bundle sadly, again reminded of the terrible incident. It was going to be hard to forget and likely would never leave her mind. "Here."
She unraveled the bundle and held it up for Shun to take what was inside. In the center of folded cloth the reaper would find the eyepatch she had worked on everyday. It was simple as he had asked, black since it would be easier to match, and made so that it would be comfortable. The stitching was carefully done, Mitsu had taken her time with hand stitching and had gone to the forge for help with the small metal snaps that kept the inner lining in place. It was done in a way that the snaps didn't touch skin could still allowed the attachment of the lining to be flush with the eye patch but easily removed.

The mention of Sabine caused a subtle curious light in his eye. He didn't know who this was. But it was good she was meeting some new people. Shun nodded quietly as he listened to her list off some of the things she did while she was there. The mention of a 1999 book caused him to frown a bit as it made him think of a few things. The words of Invictus, as well as that strange glyph room. Shaking his head of those thoughts right now, he turned his attention back to her, looking down as she took out a small bundle of cloth.
Gently taking it, he unwrapped it to find a finished eyepatch there. It wasn't something that had been hastily put together. No, the stitching was even and from what he could tell, a good amount of time had been put into making this. His gaze softened before he looked back to the girl.
"Thank you.." he said quietly before leaning down to plant a kiss to her lips.
Pausing there, he leaned back and lightly touched his left eye. He may be able to go without bandages now.
"Would you like to help me get this on before we go?"

Mitsu leaned into the kiss, her expression lightening ever so slightly. She brought a hand around to the back of his head to hold him in place while she placed a light kiss against the bandaging over his injured eye before he pulled back.
It was actually surprising that he wanted to put it on now. Mitsu nodded, reaching up to unravel the bandages carefully. Her fingers lightly gripped the final patch of gauze, nervous to pull it away. The damage was still the same, his eye was still gone, but it didn't look nearly as bad as it had. Her hand rested lightly against the side of his face, her expression sad as she looked into his one remaining eye.
"It doesn't still hurt you does it?"

Shun remained still as Mitsu helped him take off the bandages, so that they could get the patch on. The cut was still a little pink, but it had made a good amount of progress in healing in the past week. Seeing that sad expression upon her face, he brought a hand up to lightly rest it against hers.
"No. Not unless it gets provoked one way or another. But over all, it doesn't hurt any longer," he replied softly.

"At least it doesn't hurt you as bad," He was adjusting. At least as far as comfort was concerned. As far as mobility Mitsu had yet to see.
Taking the eye patch back Mitsu held it up for Shun to see. It looked it it was all one piece but the back actually slide and snapped into place once adjusted. "I tried to make it easy to adjust. You can pull it apart like this." She slid the pieces apart which made the strap a little bigger. "Or pull it in like this." There were two pieces on each side that she pulled that closed up the small gap she had made making the whole thing smaller. "Once its adjusted just pinch this and it will stay where you put it." She pressed the little metal clip and there was a small snap. Mitsu then demonstrated by tugging on the eye patch to show it wouldn't pull apart.
Unlatching the snap, Mitsu held up the eye patch and waited for Shun to lean forward. Once he was close enough she slipped the eye patch over his head, moving his hair out of the way. She adjusted it and locked it into place before stepping back. "How does it feel?" It seemed she was nervous to find out. Had she done a well enough job?

Nodding to her, he watched her demonstrate how to work the eyepatch. It was pretty simple enough, and he was pretty impressed with the amount of thought she had put into it. Once she was done, Shun leaned forth so she could get it onto his head. He brought his hands up to give a few last adjustments, as well as to feel the patch over his eye.
"Pretty comfortable actually. More so than the bandages," he replied after taking a moment to decide how it felt.
"Again.. thank you.. You didn't have to make one for me," he added quietly.

Mitsu breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed it would work then. She was glad. There had been a slight fear that she wouldn't be able to pull something together no matter how she tried. It was a terrible wound and she wasn't sure if her thought into making it comfortable would be enough.
"I'm glad its okay. And....I wanted to," Her ears fell back though, sad as it made her to work on it she wanted to make him something instead of him having to buy an eye patch. She figured hers had to be a little more comfortable than those.
Reaching out she took hold of his arm, nuzzling her head against his shoulder. She really had missed him, it had been tough being away especially after what had happened in the Haunted House. "So where did you want to go?"

As she nuzzled into him, he pulled her closer for the moment to brush his fingers lightly through her hair before looking towards the down. Since she asked where they were going to go, he began to walk with her.
"I was thinking we could stop by that one teahouse we visited awhile back. It's a pretty quiet place so we should be able to catch up more while we're there," Shun said, "I want to hear a few more details of your time there. As well.. as something else."
While he didn't really want to worry her, there were a few things he was wondering about regarding the Death clan. He was going there next, so he supposed he could find out for himself, but it was better to be prepared if possible.

"Oh, the tea house." Mitsu nodded approval as she began to walk along beside him. "We haven't been there since Christmastival." It was a quiet cozy place and the desserts were pretty good.
"I want to hear about your time on War Isle too." She had learned a great deal about the Death Clan and would be going to visit Conquest next. She wouldn't get a chance to really see the war clan so she was hoping for some inside information.
The walk to the tea house was quiet since they decided to leave their catching up to happen at their destination. It allowed Mitsu plenty of time to soak up being in the presence of her reaper again, walking closely beside him. Once they finally arrived she made her way in slowly before having a seat at the table they had sat at before. The fragrance of brewing tea and pastries filled the air. It was enough to make Mitsu's mouth water.
"So tell me what the War Clan is like." Mitsu said while pulling up a menu. "You said you were up in the trees..." She was thankful she wasn't going there to visit. "Do they all fly I guess?"

Their walk was silent, but that was fine wish Shun. He was one to enjoy a quiet time after all, and he usually wasn't too wordy of a guy. Just having Mitsu there with him as they strolled through the town was comforting.
Once inside, he seated himself while sort of looking at the menu. He wasn't going to really bother trying to read it.
"It's what you might expect. They're a proud group of warriors. Most of them, from what I could tell, were women. I didn't really see too many male clansmen. But yes, they all had wings. Some of their way of thinking is not too far off from my own. They believe that one's fighting prowess shouldn't just rely on Fear, so many of them are trained in using and crafting various weapons outside of what they can naturally summon," he explained before reaching into the messenger bag Hel had made for him for Christmastival. Carefully, he took out a wrapped object. Inside was the obsidian knife the one horsewoman had made.
"I learned how to make knives myself, but this one was made by one of them; showing me how to properly put one together."
