Physical Characteristics: Normally, dark hair, violet eyes, flat nose (Hawaiian feature, lanky body, and scales which are pale cyan. Though you'd have to be paying close attention to notice. Her hair turns red when wet.
Personality: Tula is often bubbly and happy. She is quite hot-headed, and often clueless, but her sense of justice is strong, she is always willing to help a friend in need. She is known to jump into situations without thinking things through first.
Likes: Surfing, singing, being silly, having fun, and dancing.
Dislikes: Jerks, pessimists, fish-eaters, fish-catching sailors, people who litter.
Fears: Being alone, being discovered, and being made fun of.
Bio: Tula is half Atlantean. Her mother is a Hawian woman named Doris. Her father is Atlantean, but Doris refuses to reveal his identidy to Tula, or anyone else. She has previously met with Kaldur'ahm (Aqualad from Young Justice) and seemed to take a liking to the boy- if you know what I mean. wink
Only one person, besides her mother and the Justice League, knows that she's a "Mermaid" and that is a 15-year-old Hawian boy named Garrett. Garrett had a crush on her- but she has no clue.. Her and him run a web show called "Something's Fishy; with Tule and Rettie!"
Tula is not directly involved with any organizations, but has promised Aquaman and Aqualad that she would come to their aid, if ever they called. She plans to join the Team. (Young Justice)
She lives in a small town on the island of Oahu, and spends her days surfing and attending high school- she dreams to be a Marine Biologist.
She also has a pet baby snapping turtle named "Bubbles".
Her powers first kicked in when she was 8, when her and Rettie were on a boat in the middle of the ocean, and it capsized. She rescued Rettie and brought him home. The next morning she woke up to see that her dark hair had turned bright red, and her caramel skin had turned pale cyan. Although it looks like normal American skin from afar. But she's not American, she's native Hawaiian.
The Justice League first took an interest in her when Black Mantra made an attack on Oahu. Aquaman and Aqualad were the first on the scene. Tula was surfing. The villain grabbed Tula and used her as a hostage. Tula, furious at the termination of her surfing, called up the ocean and used her abilities to send Black Mantra to the hospital, and the to prison. Doris, her mother, agreed to allow Tula to help the Justice League, whenever they asked.
It has been revealed that her father may be Aquaman.
Powers/Abilities
Powers: Manipulation of water molecules - This involves being able to alter the temperature of water molecules (Which are everywhere- mostly) and changing water density. Basically, she can heat stuff up, cool stuff down, make it rain, and make stuff float or sink.
Scaley skin - Her scales are hard enough that she can withstand most anything. These scales can also change color. (Normally it's a pale skin tone that iis really a soft cyan-color when you actually look) She can also grow sharp fins out of her forearms, and use them like swords.
"Bubbles" - She can create "bubble" force-feilds that block some impacts. She can also compress some of the molecules inside those "bubble-fields" and make them explode.
Water breather - Speaks for itself, gills grow out of her neck when she goes underwater, and allows her to breath down there.
Telepathy -Speaks mentally with fish, and sometimes other Atlanteans..
Color change hair - Although it has no real use, for some reason her black hair turns bright red when wet..
Weakness(s): Ice, and her short temper. (Which people could use against her.)
Abilities: She is good at resolving disputes between friends.
Skills: She is the best surfer in all of Oahu! Or so everyone says.. She is an amazing singer, and knows the hula.
