From what Jericho had heard, the students at the exchange program were to come back for a day or so for break time. He was, to say in the least, a little nervous. For one thing, he was apparently in trouble with Riley and he wasn't really sure why. In any case, he just sort of waited in his room anxiously. If she wanted to talk, she'd come to him right?

As if just thinking about her managed to summon her presence, a knock at the door heralded Riley's return. She waited, impatiently, for Jericho to open - even though she could have done so just as easily. It was something to be noted that she made him come and get the door for her, instead.

Jericho jumped a bit as he heard the knock at his door. Slowly, he stared at it. Was it really Riley? She could have let herself in. Shifting his wings a bit, he got on up and made his way over to open the door. It indeed was his best friend standing out there.
"Oh. Hey Riley. Welcome back? Uh.. come on in," he said with a nervous smile.
He was in deep s**t wasn't he?

There was absolutely no judgement or reaction on Riley's face. It was smooth as stone, positively nonchalant. She walked in when she was invited, moved past him, and then turned once she had walked to his treasure pile. Her body swiveled in place and dropped all in one move, until she was seated rigidly on the pile, and her hands were placed on her knees.
Then she waited.
Three seconds passed before her head tilted just slightly, gesturing with a motion for him to sit beside her.

Jericho watched as she walked on in and set herself onto the treasure. Closing the door, he anxiously made his way to sit next to her once she motioned him. The silence was unnerving. Really unnerving for him.
"So... You wanted to talk..?" he asked once he was seated.

Did I? The first thing she'd said since she returned, and it sounded distant, vague, and wholly uninterested. She tapped one finger on her chin, as if trying to recall what she could have wanted to talk about. Curious.. if only I could remember what I wanted to talk to you about..*

That nervous grin that Jericho had quickly vanished with Riley's words. It wasn't like her to simply forget.
"... Surely you know," the dragon said. If not, then they were going to be at a bit of an impasse here. Because he sure as hell didn't know what she wanted to talk about.

Jericho scratched his head before slowly shrugging.
"I... don't really know. Um... I guess.. something to do with Shehk? You both were.. texting me a lot while you were out.."

Oh! Riley's eyes widened slightly. Shehk! It must have been something to do with Shehk. Yes, definitely something about Shehk. But what could I have wanted to talk to you about Shehk..
She wasn't letting up. As usual, Riley was as willing to cave as a stone wall.
Now what could I possible have expected you to talk to me about, concerning Shehk.. let's see. You're my best friend, and I am yours. So what would a best friend think to tell another best friend, that may or may not have to do with Shehk..
She paused for a dramatic moment.
.. It is a puzzler.

Jericho cringed a bit as Riley was not letting up with this charade of hers. And as a result, he rubbed the back of his neck while trying to figure out what she was going at here.
"Is this.. about what Shehk texted to me? Her confession..?"

No, I don't think Shehk's texts have to do with it. Though I am quite interested in that topic, too.

Riley could feel Jericho's frustration building inside of her, and it made her want to giggle. So she dropped the facade, leaned in, and pinched him right in the arm.
Why didn't you tell me that you were going out on a date with Shehk, hmm? I thought you told me everything. I don't like finding out things like that from outside sources.

Oh that was it? Jericho let out a sigh as she finally relented. The frustration was released just like that.
"Because it wasn't really.. a date. Well not like that I mean. It was a friend thing. Not.. romance. We were just.. tired of all the rumors going around so we decided to do it on a whim. "
