Nuru awkwardly shuffled right up to the edge of a bridge before looking around again. It was getting a bit on the late side and the boil frowned slightly.

Where was he?

He couldn't figure it out. It wasn't like the other boil to keep him waiting, especially not this long.

He put his foot on the bridge and slowly shifted his weight to it before recoiling. He could swear it sunk under his touch. For that, he couldn't face this obstacle alone. It just wasn't worth trying.

He heaved an irritable sigh and looked at the sky again before grumbling and moving to begin pacing in front of the bridge. He couldn't seem to restrain his lack of patience in this matter.

Zar was late. This was a pretty monumental event. Generally the Incubus had an absolutely perfect sense of time and schedule, he depended on it. But since he'd arrived here in this strange quaint little island, it had been playing with his head. There was no paperwork. These guys used scrolls and other odd primitive things, and even those he wasn't allowed access to.

He was becoming acutely aware of things he wasn't normally. Like perfume and cologne, and the niggling desires that came part and parcel of his race.

The usual clothes were restrictive, he was wearing the robe he'd managed to borrow to replace his suit and he was walking not perhaps with his usual intent and purpose but a much more..meandering swagger, his tail lazily licking at his heels. He spotted Nuru on the bridge and quirked a brow. Pacing. It was nice to feel wanted.

Under one arm he had a box, at least that he'd managed to remember.

"Hello Nrrrru." he crooned with a toothy smile. "Sorry I kept you waiting."

Nuru leapt up at the abrupt voice which he immediately recognized as Zar's and rushed over to greet the boil.

"Fiiiiiiiiiinalleh~" He all but cooed as he draped his arms possessively over the incubus's shoulders.

"Ah was about t'call for reinforcements t'hunt you down." He joked but... there was an edge of seriousness to his words as he moved to turn away from the demon, left hand slipping to grab his right and lead him across the bridge to a floating pavilion.

A coward to them before, now suddenly he was fearless.

The incubus gave the other boil a very fond little grin, outright snuggling up to him in a hug that involved his wings and his tail, nuzzling a cheek against his. "Sorry. Time just doesn't feel as urgent here I've noticed. I tend to spend a lot more time doing..nothing."

He said it as if it was quaint. "Nothing at all. No paperwork. Just listening and smelling and thinking and hearing. Its lovely."

All too willing to let himself be led along, he trotted behind the dog boil, taking a deep breath of the clear air. "Its like being properly alive after being inside a dusty little box."

Reaching the first pavilion which seemed to rock slightly on the water, Nuru turned back around to face Zar. Smiling a bit awkwardly at first before relaxing at the sight of the demon.

"Jus' nothin'? Not even writing a letter back home?" He inquired while he distractedly eyed the boil up and down. Stare eerily hungry as if he were catching a glimpse of a little lost lamb.

He splayed his claws to show they were empty as if this somehow demonstrated a marked lack of paperwork. He gave the boil a giddy grin. "Nothing! Well at least nothing like business like. No paperwork anything, father doesn't even know that I'm here." He held his head proud. "And I also won favours from some people, important people. JD for one, from the trials, and his sister."

Apart from the sinking sense of doom he got from some aspects of the place, he was in a startlingly good mood. Everything was vivid. Like there was colour in the world again. Even Nuru seemed more fascinating through this feelings, as if he was only really seeing the colour of the boil's skin properly for the first time.

"I don't know what's wrong with me. I mean. It doesn't exactly feel wrong. Just unusual. "

He carefully gave Nuru's hand a squeeze, wary of his claws as he did so. "Of course father wouldn't approve."

"Your father never approves." He noted as he gave Zar's hand an approving squeeze back. It was about then he finally noticed Zar had something in his possession. A box? His floppy ears perked up with curiosity as he tried to turn his head for a better look. Was this that gift he'd promised him? Oh jack oh jack oh jack, Nuru sure hoped it was as he gestured in it's direction with his free hand.

"Whassat?" He so eloquently asked.

"Truue" he purred. "He got to live his own youth before he became boring I bet. Wheras I don't get to at all. I'm meant to be serious all the time."

He eyed the box, eyes narrowing to slits as he gave Nuru a wild little look. "Oh thiiis?" he held it up like a stick he might throw any moment, waving it around.

"You want it? Do you?" he playfully teased.

Just when someone might have thrown it had it been a stick, he handed it over. "Here. I hope you like it."

Inside the little drab looking box was a fur lined collar.

"Yes! Yes! Ah verreh much do!" He danced around, poised to chase the box down had Zar actually thrown it. Even if that meant straight into the drink. Thankfully however such was not the case and he eagerly accepted the offered box. Tearing into it like a predator tearing into it's hapless prey. Nails raking across the ribbon binding it closed, snapping it like it was nothing. The lid was sent flying in the chaos and soon the prize was unveiled.

His eyes went wide. It was so... so... beautiful. It looked like it'd be very comfortable on his neck. So he excitedly removed it from the box and after a quick inspection slid it around his neck. After which he lent in towards Zar, presenting the buckle to him for fastening.

The demon had such nimble fingers, surely he would be better at the job than himself.

Zar admired the collar even as Nuru put it on, his grin growing decidedly broader as he looked on. It was a subtle little assertion of ownership. He'd chosen it carefully, even the stitching was bound up with the repeating pattern of his initials.

He edged over to nimbly pull it tight, not enough to restrict the other boil, but enough that it would stay on neatly and not slip off.

"Perfect. You look more than handsome." his tail danced behind him. "I hope though you don't feel I'm being too pushy or possessive. Those collars are often a sign of ownership. I just want to stress if there is any ownership going on here."

He leaned in a little to purr "It goes both ways."

Nuru gently fondled the edges of his collar between a thumb and forefinger. The craftsmanship was surprisingly careful and yet thorough. Not one edge was exposed due to the plush fur wrapping perfectly around the underside. He had to give a subtle little nod of approval. A nod that grew at the handsome remark. His tail shifted side to side as he certainly felt handsome too.

His tail froze however at the ownership remark, not sure where the demon was going with that until he leaned in with the purr. He leaned back, attempting to press his forehead into Zar's as his tail took off again at a mile a minute.

"Mine?" He asked for confirmation softly under his breath. A word meant only for Zar.

The most subtle of nods against the other boil's forehead. "Yours." He replied in the same barely audible whisper. He meant it too. "Even if I think you are crazy for choosing an Incubus as..whatever I am to you." He was never sure what it was they had, just that it was close.

His statement though was mostly because in the overwhelming rush of sensations lately, there had been decidedly upsetting urges tied up with everything else. Infidelity just wasn't him. But at the same time, it was. It was a primal drive, one that was slowly slinking back to coax him. And he'd fight it every inch of the way.

He gave Nuru another possessive hug before letting the boil go.

"Lets go explore a bit."

"Ah didn' choose you for what you are anyweh." He chuckled as he gave the demon a hearty squeeze. Not wanting to let go even if the demon pulled away giving him no choice in the matter. His ears drooped as now his arms were forced empty.

"But... but... mine?..." His voice and the look on his face pitiful as if Zar had just kicked him. Yes, he was getting the kicked puppy look. But that was okay, it was very short lived as he scurried after him. Intrigued by this "exploring" thing.

"Indeed. That's true, no one chooses these things. They just happen. " he gave him a toothy smile.

He wandered onto one of the other pavillions, hooves making a bit of a racket against the wooden floors, even as he tried to walk quietly. His tail waved behind him lazily as he walked, still with a decidedly serpentine delight in its motions.

As he arrived to the other side, the two of them were passed by a clans member, a woman dressed in long elegant robes. Apparently thanks to Zar's current dress she paused and spoke to them both. He had no idea at all what she was saying and just blinked helplessly. Was it the horns? Invi had horns too. He had no idea.

He watched her walk off looking irritated with him and was slightly sorry he couldn't actually do anything to have helped her. Hell he didn't know if she was even asking them a question.

He looked to Nuru and shrugged his shoulders. "These horsemen types are.. pretty strange aren't they?"

"Ahm pretty sure a ghost would have been t'last thin' on your mind." He returned the grin rather eagerly.

Watching the strange woman come and go with an idle nod before his gaze traveled upward. Such pretty pretty pictures... except for one. His giddy smile abruptly flipping upside down. Why would the guy in red do that? It honestly bothered him and his eyes only lingered a bit longer before he tore his gaze away in disgust to give Zar a hopeless and somewhat stung look.

Was it just him who thought that was a bit sudden and uncalled for in such a ... peaceful and quiet place?

1-20: Your student looks up at the roof of the pavilion. The picture seems peaceful, but there seems to be one painting oddly out of place: of a Conquest member slaughtering several what look like humans rather graphically. It catches your eye for a second longer.
