Andolina: *humming and eating peanut butter off a spoon with harry* O wO

Roserain
Ruger Colt:
*Becomes distracted from the calculations he was trying to formulate in his head by the obviously contented sound of munching and humming. Giving up his mental project with a slight shrug, he went to investigate the source of the sounds, only to find someone that brought some half-memory into flickering life.*
"I... I'm pretty sure I know you, yes?~"

Andolina: *she blinks unsure what to say. Pulling Harry close to her body, frozen.*.......*she looks to the male and then to Harry.*......No?...I'm not sure. I'm sorry. I'm really am. I'm sorry!

Roserain

Ruger Colt:
*Quirking an eyebrow, an expression very much like his father's lightened his face, he watched her stumble in her chagrin...which reminded of something. Or someone. He was sure.*
"Er, no offense taken. Honestly. I just am trying to recall. Begging your pardon, I didn't mean you any discontent."

Andolina: *blinks, unsure what to do. She finish swallowing the peanut butter that was in her mouth and softly places the spoon down. Wide eyed she moves Harry closer to her as to hide a bit. She flicks her tail again unsure how to react to the male* "Um...I'm sorry. I'm a bit dumb?" *she paused a bit unsure how to even phrase it* "....well most people say I am, so I guess I believe. So maybe we met and I forgot. I do tend to forget a lot......plus I don't have any friends expect for a bowl that I met so I couldn't ask if I did meet you before.....but I haven't see it in awhile." *she sighs, going off in her own thoughts* "I'm Andolina, by the way and I'm sorry if I'm in you way. I tend to be in a lot of people way. Expect for Harry. Harry likes me." *she lets out a small giggle and a small smile to him. Wrinkling her nose as if she was just jotted by a sense of happiness.*

Roserain

Ruger Colt:
*His eyes widened as she continued her ramblings, his heart undeniably going out to the girl in her self-limiting assumptions and what he could only fathom must have been painful to hear from peers. Moving slowly as to not frighten her, he took a seat close by and nodded when appropriate. Though there was an 'ah ha' moment when she mentioned a 'bowl', and he correctly assumed she must be one of the many people he met while out on his adventures as a youngster. Keeping the realization to himself, he grinned when she started giggling, pulling the ruff further from his face to make communication easier.*
"A pleasure, Andolina~"
*His smile spread to become a characteristic cheshire grin, winking at her as he beamed.*
"The name's Ruger, and I don't find you to be dull in the least."
*Which was honest truth. She seemed quite lively and exciting, though her mental capacity he decided not to dissect or investigate further. He knew better than most not to judge by outward appearances.*

Andolina: *She watched slowly as the male sat next to her unsure how to take it as make before him did not do the same. She quickly fixed the ruffles that was in her dress and placed her trusted purple hippo on her lap. Blinking once again, unsure how to feel to have a person, really a guy so close to her. She gives a small blush and giggle, like a school girl, unsure what to do around men." "Really?" *she paused unsure if it was right to question him and quickly places her hand over her mouth as if she wanted to take back what she just said. as the male winked at her she let out another small giggle through her hand. Her face turning a bright red. She flick her small tail unsure what to do in this situation.* "Ruger, it's really nice to meet you too! And really. Thank you so much. I hope I have more to say....I think I do!" * she gives a small grin, face still red but softly fading. She flick her tail again beaming a smile at him.

Roserain

Ruger Colt:
*Seeing how easily she could become unsettled, he made sure to be very clear on the way he moved and spoke, the way one might speak to a startled kitten. He chuckled, not unkindly, as his long tail came to curl up beside him.*
"I think you do too, Andolina."
*It was refreshing, in a way. With a family so full of politics and a proverbial labyrinth of what could and could not be said, to have such a clear and honest conversation was very much welcome. It seemed so innocent to him, a girl with her favorite pet, real or imagined, enjoying peanut butter and her own company with no other reasoning behind it other than she could and it made her happy. Nodding to himself, coming to some unannounced conclusion, he tapped his cheek with a finger in thought before speaking again.*
"What would you like to talk about? I'm interested to hear what you have to say, it could be about anything!"
*And for all he knew it really could be.*

bunnyilove
Andolina: *she smile happily. Very happily actually, unsure how to feel next to someone who actually cares about what she really has to say. She look up to him and moves over to give him a small quick hug. She turn a bright red and lets go quickly and sits right back down placing Harry back on her lap. She give a small eep sound and then flick her tail* "Sorry......" *she looks away unsure what to do, bright red, embarrassed by her action. But she was overcome by joy and didn't know what other way to express it. She cuddles her hippo closer and looks down.* "I'm not sure what to say Ruger. Um....Do you like ice cream? Harry like banana and I like strawberry. What do you like?" *she shuffle her hands together wondering if the male would leave because she gave him a hug. She move her bare feet inward and outward before sighing.* "I'm sorry....for hugging you. I tend to get to excited and outwardly shows my emotion....I think that why people avoid me when I was younger." *she looks down letting her long hair drape over her eyes.* "Ruger....if you don't want to stay that's fine....Harry is here and I can always talk to him" *she says before looking up to him with a half broken smile, knowing that she ruined yet another possible friendship.*

Ruger Colt:
*Ears pricking as she hugs him, he isn't sure if he's supposed to return it or what's appropriate given the situation, but it's over so quickly that he doesn't have time to react anyway. Instead he watched her fidget while she seemed to struggle with herself. He shook his head gently when she apologized, having no qualm about the contact other than his meager offering of camaraderie shouldn't have merited such an emotional response; the implications were disheartening. Giving her a thoughtful look as he tried to fit more pieces together, he pondered her question. He believed preferences were a good way of analyzing people, like examining the outcome to better realize the parts of the sum. Banana suggested fun-loving and childish, perhaps outgoing and silly. Strawberry was a very feminine choice, and also a shy one. He couldn't remember what else was said on it, though he could recall talking about such things at the ice cream parlor in his father's home world. Amazing the things you could pick up about people without-

In his mental ramblings, he'd gotten sidetracked by schematics and the hidden workings of things to really pay attention to what mattered in the moment. Ruger instantly felt like an a**.
Her meek attitude made him berate himself silently as he promised not to let his attention wander again.*

"No, no. That's not it, I was just thinking too hard. I do that sometimes and forget things."

*Sighing, feeling as if whatever progress had been made was no lost, he leaned back to take in a deep breath. How best to convey his meanings? She probably wasn't used to being hugged or touched in any manner, and-
There he went again. Grimacing, he shook his head. These things didn't need to be thought through to such detail, he really should just learn to act on impulse sometimes. The rest of his family seemed to be fine with such things.

Well, he still hadn't answered her. Maybe that was a good place to start.
He leaned in closer to her, giving her a playful smile.*

"If you promise not to tell... I actually like vanilla. Plain, I know! But... it's the best because of it. You can add so much to vanilla and it'll still be good. Sometimes I might add chocolate chips, or marshmallows, or candy. It's fun to experiment.~"

Andolina: *she watch the male wondering when he was going to leave and move her legs near her chest as she clutched her one true friend.* "......Are you sure...." *paused to look around as if she was waiting for someone else to say something and then looked back at him* "I don't want to bother you, really after....um...hugging you, Ruger." *she let out a small sigh and looked at Harry and let out a small smile. It seem that every time she looked at her trusted stuff animal she felt some kind of joy. She blink a bit nervously as he moved in closer, closing her eyes as if she was waiting her a smack against her face. As she wait she hear his voice instead and open her eyes*".....I won't tell...I have no one to tell other then Harry and he's here already so yeah." *she left out a soft giggle and a soft smile up to him* "Vanilla is nice. It's my second favorite. I like it also because you have so many choices to put in it. Harry doesn't like Vanilla as much because he think it's boring." *she paused to think for a second and then frown gently* "Ruger,.....can you hear Harry?......"

Roserain

Ruger Colt:
*He hid a smile behind his boa, sinking his face into it to cover the amusement of her obvious excitement. He wondered briefly what sort of things Harry must whisper to her, but then, who didn't have those little inklings? Though he'd be lying if he wasn't at least slightly intrigued by it. Sure 'Athena' might drive him to stay up until dawn realigning the sighting on one of his dad's guns, or perhaps designing a blueprint for something new. Perhaps 'she' did guide his hands to turn yet another page to one of his books a few times more, sharpened his focus and gave him more purpose. This consideration was enlightening, and without realizing it Ruger had shrugged out of his furred boa and was gazing away with a thousand-yard stare. The thought that the gods themselves might manipulate his emotions to bring about actions... how disconcerting.

It was only then that he realized he still had an audience and looked back to Andolina for a moment before recognizing her. Blinking, his smile came slowly but it lit his eyes once more.

"I honestly don't know when or why she speaks. She just does. I don't think I'm the only one that hears her either, but I don't think everyone can. Perhaps she likes it that way? Suppose Harry only wishes to speak to you, I doubt I'd be able to hear him then."

He tapped his cheek as his ears perked, giving his words a bit more thought.

"Or maybe I just can't understand. Like a radio that's on the wrong channel. Suppose that could be too."

Andolina: * the excitement that was building up in her was growing to great and she moved to her hunches, her tail lightly wagging, waiting for his answer. Her small pale blue twinkling in bright childlike fun. She move closer to him clasping her hands together and placing them under her chin, waiting for the answer. She loved to hear about others, maybe it was because many didn't listen to her and she just got use to listening but truly she was interested. She moved and placed her tiny little hands, on his leg as if to grasp for something to stable her when he relieved his exciting news. She nodded as he talked, taking everything in. How delightful, she wasn't the only one that had others to talk them. She let out a small giggle and a even smaller squee*
"Yes! You understand! Harry says that he doesn't like to talk other because they don't understand the way he thinks! Do you think Athena is the same way. Maybe she scared that people will not want to listen to what she has to say. That's what Harry's main worry is, but he knew that he could talk to me because I'm a good listener. I bet you're a good listener too! I bet that's why she talks to you!"

*she let out a even bigger giggle, out of pure excitement. It was nice to finally find someone like her even if she didn't know him to well it didn't matter because they shared something in common. Maybe she had just found a friend and that's why she was so excited! She smiled looking up to him, shaking her head as he talked again*
"No! No I don't think that's the reason at all! Really. I think maybe Harry has to warm to you. Do you think Athena will ever warm up to me and talk to me?"

Roserain

Ruger Colt:
He patted the top of her head kindly, perhaps his first instinctual act. Instantly regretting it, worried that it would appear as if he was belittling her rather than appreciating her glee on the subject, he withdrew slightly. Though now she was openly discussing the inner workings of Harry, and Ruger knew it was so much more than bits of cloth and stuffing that she was talking about. Listening intently, he considered the pieces to the puzzle he'd been given. He wasn't ready to try and lock them into place though, and this was one of those things that had to be done in a specific order. Ah, well... all in good time.

"I try to be a good listener, but sometimes ideas and thoughts get in the way... and listening requires all of your attention to do it right, it seems."

Fidgeting at this admission, his hands started tugging at random tufts of fur on his boa, needing to actively do something as he spoke.

"I... I don't know, Andolina. I'm not exactly sure what her intentions are, or why. She comes and goes as she pleases. Does Harry tell you more about how he thinks? Athena's not like that."

Was this lying? The thin line he was treading was starting to make him anxious, worried that a slip could be easy, and an omission of truth was still something that could cause pain. But this gave them a point of relativity, and without it he doubted she would open up to him at all.

And admittedly his curiosity was well and truly and piqued.

"Did Harry have to warm up to you? I didn't know what was going on the first time Athena 'spoke'."

Andolina: *almost as a nature reaction she nuzzle her head lightly against the hand that touch her head. It had been some while since she had other human contact so she enjoyed the little she always got. As he moves his hand, she let out a little gasp almost surprise that he moved it. Looking up blinking slightly, wondering why he had left her head she look down ashamed that she enjoy it more then she should of. She twiddle her feet a little and look too Harry as if to seek an answer to why she enjoy human contact. She let out a small giggle to his answer as she thought about how stupid she was told she was and it made her last because she knew now why she was a good listener. Thinking about what she done she clasped her hands over her mouth as if this giggle might offend him. She look as far away from him and twiddle her feet as a way to try and change the action she did.*
"I'm sorry....I didn't mean to giggle. I thought of something that remind me of me and that's what made me giggle.....sorry...."
*she blink to remember what he was saying and regain her thoughts. She nodded remembering what he just said and smile*
"Yes. I see, it often hard but I guess that's why I'm so good at it because I'm rather dumb and have nothing on my mind."
*she sighed and started to wince as her mind went back to horrible calls the people use to say to her. She pulled her little purple hippo close to try to move her mind away from it. Wincing she shook her head to get the thoughts away from her*
"Oh.....I see.....Yes, Harry talks about that and a lot of things.....he talks a lot actually... A lot more then I do."
*Her voice cam out as a small whisper, as if she was just talking to answer his question because she had too. Moving closer to her hippos, her little body started to shake as her thoughts consumed her. Small tears ruining down her face, landing against her frail white dress.*
"Harry....came to me because I was crying,...like I am now......"
*her voice was smaller then before. She had shut her eyes and begin to place her tiny face against her hippo. Her shaking grew more intensely and she didn't move from her spot other then to shake.*
"Please make them go away, Harry. Please........"
*she spoke quietly to her hippo and only to her hippo.*

Roserain
Ruger Colt:
Was she... she most certainly was.
Well s**t.
Not knowing what to do as her tears kept on falling, he stared in open bewilderment. Though he'd been handed the answer to her most disconcerting behavior, he didn't have time to ponder and focus on that currently.
Because she was crying, and he was pretty sure it was a direct result of him.
Or his prodding at least.

Perturbed, his movements were slow at first as he reached for her, and then pulled back. Perhaps she would view it as an overt expression of unwanted affection, or maybe he would just compound the problem and-
He was over-thinking again. Besides, he had noted her seeming enjoyment of any contact, and if this was indeed his doing wouldn't the prudent thing to do be to offer comfort? What was the code of conduct here?
Time was passing, and he knew the small window of opportunity to right this grave wrong would be coming to a close if he didn't act quickly, so he took a deep breath...
and then before he could rationalize away his action, he grabbed her shoulders as gently as he could and brought her against his chest before folding his arms around her.

This certainly wasn't something he was used to, so at first he was rigid and awkward with his broken bundle, but instinct soon lent itself to him and he softened his grip, cradling her as he rested his head atop of hers.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you... We don't have to talk about such things unless you want to, I promise."

Adolina: *her body was limp for a while as her thoughts consumed her. It had been sometime since she was like this but then again it was awhile since someone had really talk to her. The emptiness that she self cover her body as she try to reach for hippo which seemed miles away. The only thing that gave her some pleasure was the wet tears that was falling upon her. She wasn't sure what to do now, most of the time she would just weep until she was able to escape from her misery and she hope that this would be just the same. A soft whimper escaped her mouth as she tried to pull herself out. Shaking she bit her lip when she felt something different then the times before this. What was this......? She had never felt warmth when she was engulf in her misery and she moved closer to it. She laid against it, whimpering soft as if to tell the warmth thank you. Her little snuggling against it, she curled up in a little ball next to it as a sleeping child would. Not until the sound that came from it did she realize what it was. Whimpering she lifted her head to look up to Ruger, and gave him a small weak smile.* "Thank you...." *it was soft and weak but loud enough to hear. Sh placed her tiny head against his chest and closed her eyes, slowly trying to escape the sound that filled her mind.*

Roserain

Ruger Colt:
*With every whimper and whine he cringed visibly, ears tucked so far back against his head that they were lost within his hair. He'd never heard someone sound so broken before, and the auditory onslaught of anguish was physically hurting him. The nearest thing he could relate it to was being unable to prevent a disaster; standing too far away to reach and intervene. He tightened his hold on her as she shook, hoping he could keep her from further falling apart.

He'd never felt so useless in all his life.

He could break apart and remake weapons, build machines, design and construct and renew... but this... He couldn't decide if he was angry, depressed, stymied, or what. The emotional turmoil was starting to make him nauseous.

He loosened his hold as the bundle began to stir, pulling away from him to look up. She looked exhausted, worn down. The slightest smile only illuminated how weary she appeared.
But when she uttered 'thank you' it damn near broke his heart. She was thanking him? For what? Purposefully manipulating her so he could analyze her responses and dissect the inner workings as if she were some psychoanalysis case study. This did not merit a heart-felt thanks but a thorough chastising. Holding his head up to avoid further eye contact, he chided her gently with a soft 'shhhh', lowering his head again once she was resting against his chest. He rocked gently, feeling rather forlorn as he cradled her.+

"I'm so, so sorry."

*He muttered softly, berating himself mentally as he imagined what further damage his proverbial prodding had caused.*
