A metropolitan area that came into the Merged Multiverse late into the existence of the Multiverse itself. This is the hometown of Green Lantern Hal Jordan, Zamaron Queen Carol Ferris, and their future daughter Carlie.

[Enter Carol Ferris from Hell]
Carol was teleported to her house, which she had called home ever since she was a little girl, and took off her ring before reclining in a living room chair.
"God... it feels good to be back home..." she said to herself, feeling quite tired.

Inertia "I'm one bad B**ch Bottle of beer in one hand, the rest of the case in the other, a tall, lean, red headed being stumbled down the street of a Coast City suberb. Tilting her head back, the tall woman finished the open beer and then threw it with momentum-increased strenth at the garage door of a house. The house that she pelted, however, belonged to one Carol Ferris.
Not that the mutant cared one bit, she just grabbed another bottle, popped the top off and kept walking.

((Does Carol even have a garage? *consults Green Lantern: Secret Origin* Yee-up, it's connected to her house.)) Carol, who was nodding off, awoke with a start at the sound of something hitting her house's garage door. She summoned her ring to her hand and hurried outside.
Her jaw dropped. What the hell was she looking at?! Some tall, purple humanoid?
... And was that a beer bottle that had been busted on her garage door?!
Annoyed, Carol slipped her ring onto her finger and flew above Inertia.
"Hey, you!" she called angrily. "What'd you do that for?! There's a damned recycling bin next to the driveway!"
Meanwhile, one Carlie Jordan was reveling in seeing Coast City as it had been at least several years before she was born. She saw a violet/pinkish aura in the air at her house-- or rather, what would be the house she'd grow up in in the future-- and flew to investigate.
"Hey, Mom," Carlie said, forming up beside her past-mother and looking at the newcomer. "What happened?"
Carol didn't respond immediately, but when she did, she was staring daggers at Inertia. "This... alien? I dunno-- chucked a beer bottle at the garage door."
"Ruuuu-uuude," Carlie said, and Carol nodded in agreement.

Inertia "I'm one bad B**ch Not even bothering to answer, the tall purple and brown skinned woman stopped and looked up at the two floating women. Chugging the rest of the beer in her hand, the mutant brought her thumb, one of only three digits on her hand, to the part of her mask where her mouth would be and made as though she bit it at the two. As plausibly as possible, she'd just flipped the mother and daughter off.
"Bugger off! Ah'm 'avin e gud toime wit meself and me friend Killian's!" She said, smashing the empty bottle on the ground by her feet. The mutant once more grabbed a new bottle from the six-pack she was carrying and opened it with a flick of her thumb. Whoever the woman was, she was obviously intoxicated and probably didn't need another drink, though she already had one and didn't seem to plan on stopping.
And don't you doubt it!"

((I am so tempted to bring my own Irish character, Aiden O'Connor, into this thread. If it weren't for Inertia's attitude and appearance, he'd likely try to hit on her-- while drunk, no less. That was partly why I encouraged you to give her more realistic proportions for a mutant; it'd be easier for Aiden to try and connect with her, should they meet.)) "I can see that. You seem to be having a hell of a time getting piss-drunk!" Carol replied crossly, repressing the urge to attack this ingrate of a creature. She spoke English, at least, so Carol surmised she was a metahuman of some kind. "Now if you wouldn't mind, go get piss-drunk somewhere else!"
Carlie frowned, looking from her mother to this new arrival. She, for one had the gut feeling that if this new arrival was busy getting drunk, either she simply liked to get drunk like a stereotypical Irishwoman, or she was trying to drown her sorrows.
So, Carlie flew down towards Inertia and held out a hand, trying to be kind.
"Hi there, I'm Carlie Jordan," she said gently. "I apologize for my mom, but you should try to be more careful where you're chucking your bottles."

Inertia "I'm one bad B**ch Inertia looked at the younger woman and the offered hand. Though they couldn't see it, the mutant was smiling behind her mask. "Oh, Mehbe ah could'a been a wee bit mur carful in me throwin o dat bottle. Ah'm turribly sorry, me name's Inertia." she said, somewhat in an innocent sounding tone(which ain't like her at all), reaching out to take Carlie's hand after transfering her open bottle to the other hand.
However, the young lantern would soon learn that Interia's meaning in returning the handshake was not to be friendly. Almost as soon as they gripped eachother's hands, a lethally strong current of electrical energy ran from the tall mutant to Carlie. Before either mother or daughter could react, Inertia spun, using another of her abilities to increase her momentum monumentously, and flung Carlie into the sidewalk behind her. Letting go, the mutant completed her spin and brought the same hand up that had just released the daughter and released a bolt of electricity at Carol. The mother and daughter probably wouldn't know what just hit them.
And don't you doubt it!"

Carlie felt like she was on fire, and as she had gotten flung face-first toward the pavement, her face was scratched up and bleeding. She had not, in her brief career as a Green Lantern, been hurt like this...
She groaned, tears of pain stinging her eyes, and rolled over onto her back, her vision blurry and swimming.
Carol had reacted in time to use her ring and create a bubble of violet energy around herself, which she dropped as the lightning attack stopped. The look on her face would have been terrifying to most, but Inertia likely wouldn't have been intimidated-- not that Carol cared.
"Nobody. Hurts. My. Daughter." she said in a soft, deadly tone, and she used her ring to create a giant hand made of violet energy, swatting Inertia down the road with all her might and then flying after her. This woman, this metahuman Inertia... would soon have the wrath of the entire Star Sapphire Corps bearing down on her, if Carol had anything to say about it.
Carlie was breathing in short gasps, and her head fell back onto the sidewalk so that she was staring up at the sky.
Need... help... Carlie thought to herself as she struggled to get her ring to her lips. She managed it, and accessed the ring of her father-- the one from her time.
"D-Daddy... Help... I-I'm hurt... Please..." she said into her ring, fighting to stay conscious and get her message out to him.((You performing and landing your attack in a single post, without my approval prior, is considered a god-mod. By rights, I was allowed to godmod in response. Such things, generally speaking, are a BIG no-no. So I won't do it if you won't.))

Inertia "I'm one bad B**ch "Ooof!" Inertia had not expected to be swatted away like some sort of insect, but then again, she'd also expected to take down to Lanterns more easily than punching out a drunk in one of the many bars she attended. The arc of her flight, induced by the violet hand, took her into the windshield of a parked car on the curb of the street. The vehicle was totalled by her three hundred and twelve pound frame and the glass of the windshield cut into her back. Her reactions slowed by the immense ammount of alcohol she'd already ingested, the older Lantern was almost to her by the time she stood again.
"Well, tha' hurt loike e b***h. An ah lost me drink! Ah'll keel yeh!" Luckily for Interia, and possibly unlucky for Carol, the car which the mutant had totalled was parked next to a street lamp. Slamming her fist through the metal by implementing her momentum based powers, Inertia ripped the power cables out, prompting a surge of electrical energy to run from the power grid into the mutant, who began absorbing the current with glee. One by one, the power in the surrounding homes went out as the purple woman gathered as much energy as she could in the next few seconds before Carol was on her. A thunderous roar and the smell of ozone erupted into the area as Inertia let the electrical energy from the grid flow through one hand and out the other, directed towards the oncoming Lantern.
And don't you doubt it!" (Technically yes, however, as an unexpected action it was most likely to actually happen without any real chance of being negated or blocked. I'm sorry for it, and will try not to again)

((Normally I would have let such an attack go; but what you did was indeed potentially lethal to Carlie. Such a massive shock... even for a short amount of time, the voltage and amperes were... Well, realistically speaking, she's extremely lucky to be alive. Obviously, I won't have Carlie die. But I've decided that once help comes for her, she's going to need to be hospitalized for a while.
Regardless of that, what I'm saying is that non-lethal attacks that can't be dodged are fair game, and I have no problem with those if they're used in moderation. I control some characters that are either extremely tough to hurt (Captain Marvel, Doomsday), or have healing factors (X23, Paragon), so I don't mind if someone keeps using non-lethal auto-hits on them; especially Doomsday and Marvel. Lethal attacks that can't be blocked, on the other hand, are considered a godmod by... well, pretty much everyone. Hence why I didn't have Carol kill Inertia on the spot for hurting Carlie, though I certainly could have done so. That, and I don't like killing off the characters of other roleplayers anyway.))
Carol managed to react in time-- barely-- to the large amount of electrical energy headed her way by creating another sphere of violet energy around herself.
However, she was still pushed back by the force of the discharge itself, and when it ended, she glowered at Inertia, aiming her ring threateningly at the mutant.
"What the <********> is your problem?! She was just trying to be nice to you!" she yelled, glancing back toward Carlie; the connection she had to Carlie through her ring told her that Carlie was in intense pain and was already close to death... and this scared her on a level she could not describe. She turned back to Inertia, and the look of motherly rage on her face could kill.

/// Here's your posty. Might have time for another one tonight, might have to wait until tomorrow or Friday. Yay Capstone! *sarcasm* -__- '' ////
Barely a moment after Carol sent a glare in Inertia's direction, a stream of green light raced across the sky. For many in neighboring cities, it may have looked like a shooting star at first. But as it raced into Earth's atmosphere, and came to a screeching, blindingly bright halt on the sidewalk, it was far too clear what the light really was.
With his green aura radiating off of him, and a tail of energy still streaking into the sky, Hal Jordan stood on the sidewalk looking down at his daughter. He stared at her for a moment, his eyes wide with what for a brief moment could be mistaken for fear, then turned his focus onto the other two.

Inertia "I'm one bad B**ch "Ah dinna do nice, Lil' Violet! An ah dinna loike havin' people stoppin me good times an whatnot! Heros 're nutin but a race o' self-servin' hypocrits an' stock up snobs! Yeh all deserve worse'n wut th' lil' lass just got!" Inertia held her hand towards Carol, but also noticed the Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, land and stare first at his daughter, who was badly, almost fatally, wounded, then at herself and the girl's mother. The mutant kept her other hand inside the street lamp pole, still gathering as much electrical energy as she could wring from the grid, cause she knew she'd need it.
And don't you doubt it!"

If she were thinking clearly, Carol would have calmed down and used her aura of Love to attempt to calm Inertia down and try to connect with her on some level. But right now Carol Ferris, the CEO of Ferris Aircraft, Queen of the Zamarons and Star Sapphire Corps, and now a very, very angry mother, was most certainly not thinking clearly.
"If you call hurting an innocent girl who had done nothing to you 'good times and whatnot', you should get professional help!" Carol snarled, but she looked to Hal.
"Hal, get her somewhere safe; I don't care where, just get C.J. out of here!" she said, before looking back to Inertia, waiting to see if the mutant would make a move...
Carlie coughed and sputtered, struggling to breathe. Her breaths were coming out in pained, quick gasps; her muscles were spasming, her heart was beating erratically, and she felt like death. Her vision was blurring, both from losing consciousness and tears of pain, but she saw her father standing before her.
"D-Daddy..." she managed to gasp out, although this pained her as if her lungs were being torn apart. "I-it hurts so mah-hutch... Make it stop..." she continued, and then she began to cry, both from desperation and her intense pain. "Daddy... m-make it sta-hop... Please..."
The fact that Carlie was alive, retaining consciousness, and speaking after receiving such a powerful electric shock was a testament to her inborn stubbornness... and her willpower. As her father stood before her, he would likely recognize, in some distant part of his mind that was not clouded by fear for his daughter's life, that he had made the right choice in giving her his ring for her sixteenth birthday; which to him was mere weeks ago. Even in such a life-threatening manner as struggling to talk in this state, Carlie was too stubborn to just pass out, and was desperately trying to stay alive at the same time.

Hal bent down and gently tried to hush his daughter. "Shh...don't speak sweetie..." he replied, forming a slab directly under her body. He gently raised it up off the ground, then let it form into something more cushioned for her to lie on.
Within the next moment, he was up in the air with the bed close to him. He sped off towards the closest hospital he could find. Leaving Carol to deal with Carlie's attacker.

((Focusing on Future Hal and Carlie atm))
As Hal neared Coast City General Hospital and went inside, one of the on-duty nurses at the check in area noticed him immediately and, forgoing standard procedure, called up the closest doctors on staff to hurry toward the location.
"Green Lantern?" said the first doctor to approach Hal. He looked down to Carlie and frowned. "Who is she, and what happened?"
