Tonight was like any other night, or so it seemed thus far, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. He hadn't had any senshi or knight run-ins and he had been roaming the higher end shopping area of Destiny city gathering energy as he went. It wasn't something new, being around the most expensive clothing stores in the city and gathering energy, it had been a while though. Tonight the little orbs of energy were tucked into a pocket for safe keeping, no need for a messenger bag since this wasn't some planed out energy gathering event of his. Those little plans, such as the college library, required such just to hold on to the energy as he was unsure of how much he'd get and if his pockets could fit the energy orbs without risk of spilling.

Making his way down the block, calm as ever and seeming as though he owned the street which he walked down, both hands were out and moving and brushing against passing people. Each brushing was just enough for him to gather a small, very small, amount of energy. Each orb tucked away in a pocket before his hand was back to work gathering energy. It wasn't all that hard tonight, it seemed like he might be getting a lucky night finally. He knew not to assume too much, or hope, as at any moment some knight or senshi could brush his senses with their presence and head his way with the intent to ruin his night. For now though he'd smile and work with ease, he was getting better at walking amongst people and doing his gathering. It was one of those things which took time to get good at, like most things in life, and this was one of those things he worked on. Making sure people didn't notice, didn't feel, he didn't take too much. He was good, though not perfect. he'd been caught before and stared or glared at for brushing up to a person or grabbing on to a coat. No, it was something to continue to work on and he was.

Cealian might have been patrolling, or she might have been window shopping, though if you asked her, it was a fine mixture of both. This was the farthest she had gone out on a patrol, but it was worth it. Some of these clothes…Well, someday she’d be able to own some. Maybe. A pipe dream, at least a pipe dream with how much she spent on raising Millie.

The page gave a little sigh and moved away from a window then wrinkled her nose, giving a little shiver. Wait, that meant something, that…feeling meant something. But…what. An enemy? Was it that Remarque fellow back again, or a youma? She glanced around, then figured that the feeling was coming from somewhere to the left, giving herself a small nod before taking off towards it. She felt so much more confident know that she knew there were…a bunch of other knights around…one that was a Venus Page too, so, that was good! She would have to meet up with her one of these days!

She drew closer to where she was feeling that shivery…wrongness, but saw only what seemed to be an older teenage boy, in a very lovely coat. He couldn’t be giving off this feeling…could he? “Um, excuse me,” One way to find out, right? Make conversation!

Most of the clothing stores he passed were ones he either had shopped on or, looking in the windows, would be shopping in. He had his favorite designers but a collection, and what else the store carried at the time, always determined if he shopped there at any given time. he wasn't loyal to the point of shopping in a place even if the clothing was...less than ideal in appearance. That was the case as he stared into one window, ick. Pastels and far too many rhinestones and it was mens clothing. Sometimes he did wonder about whoever came up with ideas.

Shaking his head he continued on his way, gathering energy and peering into windows. What he wasn't expecting, though he wasn't unprepared. "Well, there goes the easy night." Mumbled to himself though in a good natured way. Now to find the knight, or let them find him..

It seemed, as he noted the oddly dressed female approach, that the knight had found him and that they were clueless. For a moment he considered laughing but decided against it in favor of playing along with whatever came from this knight. "Yes, can I help you?"

She proceeded a few steps closer, hesitating just slightly. Something about this…boy still seemed…off. Like, sour milk or something. Souring milk? Milk that was just on that edge of being so bad you got a stomach flu from drinking it. Well, whatever.

“What are you?” Well, that was the epitome of eloquent questions there, Caelian. Bravo. Now he wouldn’t think you suspicious what so ever. If he was an enemy, that just gave him each and every indication that you were completely new to this and knew absolutely nothing. What a way to show your weakness.

The Venus page gripped her powder puff a little tighter, sighing. “I mean, who are you? Not what. Haha. Slip of the tongue and all of that.” That was pathetic. It was no wonder that she had never been picked for a school play back in high school or college. She had no finesse for any of this…playing it cool stuff. Her emotions were always right on her sleeve and so easily seen.

"I know what you are, I don't know who you are - not that it matters." He didn't care who she was, enough of the profiles and information his notebook contained didn't have a senshi or knight name attached to it. Most of it had descriptions. "As for me...you'd call me your enemy, or you should if your wise." His voice, almost mocking but certainly superior. She had shown him just how new and clueless she was, she was weak in his book. At best she would do to him what that green haired one did to him, at least best for her.

"You should learn to act better, one would think if they were going to play dumb they would have the intelligence to do it only if they can act well." Insulting, and slate eyes gazed at her calmly. For once who was younger he had a certain...calm and even coldness with her. He wasn't as new as her. The darkness had tainted him.

"Now, tell me why you sought me out."

“Curiosity, I suppose.” She kept a few feet away, perhaps so she would have some room to run if it came down to that, though perhaps it was just to give them both enough personal space to feel comfortable. “So…are you really one of those Negaverse people that I’ve heard, oh so much about?”

He didn’t look like Remarque did. But, she was at least somewhat sure that nobody would look like he did…what with those colors and that outfit. But this one, he felt differently too. It was a different kind of darkness? Maybe?

She still wasn’t sure she was doing this aura thing right…but she was trying. “Yes, well…” The whole acting comment had gotten to her and she gave a scowl. “An actress was never something that was in my career bank, I’m afraid. Guess I’m going to just have to get information so I don’t have to show my stupidity, hm?” At least he was being…polite. If not intimidating. He hadn’t gone straight for the jugular..yet.

"Indeed, I am one of those Negaverse...people. Though the term agent or officer is more proper a term. If you wish to be as specific as possible, without knowing my name, I am a captain." Would she get that he was giving her a free lesson, even if it was in fact veiled in nature. If she knew his rank and his power level she would know less than him was...a lieutenant and more power was a general. It wasn't necessarily the best way to teach someone but he wasn't about to go handing out information either.

"I can tell, but in this field you need to act, to a point. I'd suggest you learn, take drama classes." It was something which came in handy at times, hiding fear or nervousness as well as covering up other feelings. It was all a matter of acting and pulling on different masks, being someone else.

"Tell me, how did you hear of us and what did you hear?"
PostPosted: Sat Apr 14, 2012 2:56 am

“What have I heard?” She took a mental note about the acting classes, perhaps that would be a bit more useful in the future…or, maybe experience alone would have to do…when she got the experience, of course. “I’ve heard that you were terrible people set on destroying the lives of countless people, and taking over the world!”

Wait…was that the Negaverse? Or was that the goal of the bad guys from Power Rangers…or the Sith from Star Wars? She shrugged. Well, if the Negaverse were the ones on the bad side of the tracks, then it was all the same anyway. Villains never changed their plans, not now, not then, not ever.

“And of course, I heard of you through…the grape vine of goodness!” Okay, now she was just taking this whole ‘acting’ thing a bit too far, even by her standards. This boy was going to think she was just some old coot and wouldn’t take her seriously at all. But…maybe acting stupid would make her seem like a girl who wasn’t any sort of a threat…and then he would just…leave her alone. And maybe he’d spill some super awesome Negaverse secrets…

Huh. Maybe playing dumb wasn’t always a bad thing.

"Us? I do believe you've made quite the mistake." Laughter colored his words as he spoke. She thought they were the bad guys, how cute. But...the enemy's ranks all thought that and the newest of the enemy ranks seemed clueless, at least every new member he'd encountered. Did someone not take the time to teach them? Where they all really just brought into this war and not told a thing aside from Negaverse = bad guys and go fight the bad guys?

"Are you really this clueless? Do those who bring you, and your kind, into this war not tell you anything aside from feeding you that drivel about us being the bad guys and to fight us?" He asked, not being able to help the bluntness of his words. "You really need to open your eyes and look around, think and learn for yourself."

Shaking his head he felt the urge to rub at his temples, this really was trying his patience. "Then tell me...if you've heard of me who am I? Tell me what you've heard, as I doubt you've heard a single thing." Just the way she spoke told him she was making things up. He had been to enough social events he had learned how to tell when people were making things up and giving half truths. It was a nice skill to have, not that he even really needed it here as common sense worked well enough.

"Come on, do tell."

“It’s not like anyone brought me into this war.” She muttered, making a face, not as happy at being caught so easily. Lying had never been her strong suit. She was too transparent, always had been.

Caelian shook her head. “It’s not like I had anyone holding my hand and leading me through anything. One moment I was a normal woman, and the next I was a page of Venus. I didn’t ask for it. It just happened.” She didn’t sound bitter about it, it wasn’t the worst thing in the world that could have happened…it was just one of the strangest.

“I know nothing about the Negaverse other than you are the ‘bad guys’, the ones who control the monsters, and I know absolutely nothing about you personally.” The page crossed her arms and shrugged. “And I know I have a lousy poker face, don’t rub it in.”

Oh how he wanted to laugh, the poor thing seemed so utterly clueless, and helpless, it was amusing to be honest. "Perhaps than...you should seek out one of your kind and seek whatever knowledge they have." He really didn't trust they could give her proper information, but it was their version of what was going on and the truth.

"Someone should hold your hand, it's obvious you could use it." Yes, Knights and Negaverse agents had some sort of...connection, as much as he disliked it, but he wasn't about to be nice to this one and hold her hand. Let some other knight hold her hand, he wasn't going to coddle someone. "You clearly need to learn, and fast, or you may just find yourself dead and not due to an agent either. As for those...monsters as you call them they are youma. Not all are controlled by us. A good deal of them do as they please. To think otherwise is a bit of a mistake." Shaking his head he tapped one booted foot idly.

"Go, go find a knight to teach you. As for myself...I'm not the bad guy but I'm also not a saint. Aside from that my name is Benitoite." A crooked smile came across fair features as the teenage agent bowed to her, mocking. "Of course, I needn't rub it in yourself further."

Caelian sighed, rolling her eyes, and feeling much like her daughter when doing so. “Well, fine. Then I will. And when I find some knowledgeable knight, then I’ll be sure to have all of my questions answered.” She thought back to that room with all of those other knights and suppressed a sigh. They hadn’t been very organized…and they hadn’t even seemed to get along…How could they help protect the world from monsters…if they couldn’t stop fights from breaking out amongst themselves.

The system was very disorganized.

She watched him give the mock bow, then gave a mocking curtsy of her own. “It’s a pleasure then. Benitoite. I’m Caelian. Page of Venus. I suppose I should say that part of my hopes we don’t run into one another again, I don’t think it would go as smoothly as this. Even if I did make a somewhat fool of myself.” She glanced down at her powder puff and shrugged. “I suppose, now I know what you Negaverse people feel like, so, I can watch out for that and perhaps not be caught off guard. Perhaps I should thank you.”

"Perhaps you should thank me, though it really matters little in the long run. When you find a knight to help you learn to fight...and not with that so called weapon only." He'd met a handful of Knights who seemed incapable of fighting or went for their supposed weapon and well...a bowl of water was really only good for splashing someone and than throwing the empty bowl - not much use. Some other fighting was needed, those poor knights.

"If your lucky we won't run in to each other again." Or if they did she didn't interrupt anything he might be doing, or not doing, and start some fight with him. That wouldn't be wise for her.

(Lame, yes. But I think we can call it done with your next post.)
PostPosted: Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:00 pm

She gave a curt nod, agreeing with him. She did need to learn to fight. Sure, kicking and smashing things with her heels worked now, but there were things out there stronger than she was, and Benitoite was living proof of this.

She quite agreed that it would be much better just to not meet this boy again...she had a bad feeling that it wouldn't go so smoothly the next time. The two were fighting anyway. On opposite sides. That was how a war was...

"Well. Thank you for the conversation. Have a pleasant evening, Benitoite." She darted off, making some plans to invest in some sort of martial arts classes.
