The Observation Point General Setting:The Observation Point is the highest point of the entire Clan structures, seated at the very tip of the highest tree. The climb up is precarious, and can only be managed for the flightless on a single, swaying ladder. Even then, the flight up is covered in thick and dangerously sharp branches, spears, and other weapons, just to emphasize facing the obstacles. In fact, it is so difficult to make it up, that one climbing must be aware of all obstacles, and overcome them before reaching the top. OOC: EVENT ROLLS AND PROMPT MECHANICS: - When your student has arrived in this setting, you can CHOOSE to roll a 100-sided dice at any point in time. They are NOT at the observation point top yet, they need to roll to get there. You can only do this twice per RP you make. Match your dice roll to the results below for a prompt/ small reaction that your student may discover. RP out results accordingly. 1-20: While climbing upwards with the ladder, as you do not want to brave the spears, you look down. The ground is so very far down. you begin to loose your nerve a bit, and remain stuck. 21 - 40: The ladder begins to sway and shake precariously, as suddenly a gust of wind billows to one side, causing anyone airborne to also grab a hold onto that ladder for dear life. You can practically see your life flashing before your eyes (again) as you almost get impaled by a sharp spear. 41 - 60: You finally manage to pass the first hurdle of spears, but nearly get pin-cushioned again as a barrage of arrows appear out of nowhere. Really now? 61 - 80: You see a lone clan member fly upwards towards the observation point, dodging all obstacles effortlessly. Sure, they make it look easy... 81- 100: You finally reach the top! At the very top, you can see a large group of War clan members filing out, heavily armed and equipped. They seem to be shouting loudly to each other as well, excitedly as they exit to the portal room. (see below for horsemen point prompt) - Horsemen point prompt! You also see something glint next to you, but is it just a trick of the light? Roll a 6-sided dice. If odd you obtain one horsemen point! You can only redeem a max of two from all prompt prps/orps your student is in per OOC 24 hours. You can redeem these here and here!

Danny was out and about exploring the island again. She had most of her s**t sorted out by now- the big bush was over there. The clump of rock was over there. There was a horseman's house over there, and she didn't like people touching her things. Especially her shiny things. Or her bed. Yeah, oops.
Somehow Danny ended up back at the ladder that led to the observation deck. She wanted to climb to the top again, so she could feel above it all once more. The ground was just too boring.
Then she saw the blue poof of hair standing next to it. Oh no. No no no. Jack no. HEY: NO.
"Hey stupid, how many times have you tried? I know it's just so hard to get to the top. I did it in one try though, y'know." Her mouth was already moving and insulting.

Edel had been enjoying a nice, quiet time alone when The Danny arrived. Shutting her eyes to utter a silent Oh Jack, now what in her head, the ghoul turned around to stare at the flame demon, looking very very unimpressed.
But deep down inside, she was feeling just a little butt hurt. Because Danny had actually gotten a chance to see the view while she hadn't.
Sometimes life could be so cruel.
Rather than contemplate just ending it by jumping down below, the ghoul simply uttered a flat, “Oh hello darling.” I bet she used her wings, she must have, she thought to herself, clearly a little jealous. Though on second thought, the flame demon's wings did look kind of puny....

Edel would be crazy because oh my god Zyph, her wings can't support s**t I mean-
"I'M NOT YOUR DARLING," Danny immediately snapped back. Edel clearly meant it in jest, as an insult, but Danny was screaming it back at her nonetheless. She didn't want any sort of association with Edel, regardless of reason.
Danny grumbled and moved past her, putting a hand on the rung, but then relented for a moment. "You haven't been to the top, have you?" Danny said snidely. She then took a step or two back from the ladder and said, "Please princess, you should go first."
Reality? Danny wanted to watch Edel fail. She wanted to watched Edel fail SO much. Not to mention after her last attempt ... Well it was true she made it to the top once, but after that she had tried a second time and failed. What if it happened again with Edel watching?
Jack no. That was way too embarrassing.

Danny's next line hit the frost demon hard. It stung. The ghoul glared at the flame demon in cold fury. Rub it in won't you? The following challenge did not come as a surprise, and by then Edel was considering it very carefully.
She might never quite live it down if she failed to get to the top in front of Danny.
Quietly, the ghoul took note of the weather currently. No signs of strong winds.
At this point, her mind was telling herself that she could still just walk away.
But she didn't.
Edel raised an eyebrow at Danny and took hold of the swinging ladder.

Carefully, she made her way up the ladder, but not too slowly so that the flame demon could toss jibes at her for taking her time. Past the spears and no signs of arrows. Great, she was doing well. Just a little bit more ....
Before she could bother to take in the spectacular view, the frost demon was staring down at Danny. Triumphantly.
“Care to join me up here?” she snickered.

Danny just gaped. Absolutely gaped. Edel was climbing the thing- and not just climbing it slowly and pathetic. She was BOLTING up that ladder. Had Edel maybe been practicing for hours and just duped her?
She grimaced and looked at the ladder. Well she couldn't just take Edel lightly. If she walked away now, she would never live it down. There was just no two ways around it. She had to climb.
What if she didn't make it? Danny put her feet on the first rung and began pulling herself up. What if she got hit? She was up a few feet now. What if a spear knocked her right off the ladder? A few feet more.
Danny was so lost in thoughts of failure that she didn't even see the arrow come flying towards her. It hit her square in the wing, and the immediate pain made her screech and lose her balance. She went flying and fell the twenty-some feet she had managed to climb. Danny had to resist the urge to cry. A horsewoman came and pulled the arrow out of her wing, but provided no assistance beyond that.
The worst part was that Edel had watched it all.

The ghoul watched as Danny tried to make her way up, just barely refraining herself from making comments such as “Oh, come on now” and “I'm waiting...” After a while she began to get a little distracted and started to look at the scenery sans Danny from up there in the observation point. She was right, the view from up here was the best. From there she could see the beach and the sea beyond. For the briefest of moments, the ghoul looked back down at Danny to check on her progress.
She was still waiting ....
The sudden scream from the flame demon came as a shock. The initial look of confusion slowly gave way to an ashen expression as she saw the arrow that had struck the flame demon. The words “Are you alright?” slipped out of her mouth before she even realised. Maybe it really was pure luck that she had managed to dodge the arrows that came at her yesterday, but she really had not expected for Danny to be actually injured.
Edel stood frozen (ahahaha) at the platform. Should she go down to help? Or would Danny just rage, yell at her and stomp away if she did so. She could never really tell.

Danny sneered up at Edel. She didn't need her sympathy. She didn't need any part of Edel.
"I'm JACKING FINE," she shouted up to the ghoul. Listen to her, faking sympathy when she really just pitied the flame demonness. Danny was disgusted by her fake sympathy. It was like all the people who had said, "Oh! You're Oersted Fitzgerald's sister!" All of the value Danny worked up was just dashed in a few words. She hated being pitied above all else.
No one did pity better than Edel. Danny looked up at the platform and watched a few horsemen flutter up towards the platform that Edel was standing on. They made it look so jackdamn easy! It wasn't fair! Danny could've burnt the whole tree down if they would just let her take off her pin.
Danny turned tail and kicked the ladder, making a few horsemen frown at her. What did Arel say again? "Best behavior"? Well that was good and done. Danny started walking away from the tree. "I'm out of here," she grumbled, hissing as her wing folded behind her.
She was really just all the butthurt.

And there she goes again. Edel furrowed her eyebrows as Danny yelled back at her, obviously refusing to recognise her sincerity in that question. Why was she surprised? The exact same thing happened at the beach during the Trials, Danny getting her wings hurt, Danny telling her that she was fine, Danny stomping off shortly after.
It was a pity that her stay up there at the observation point was so brief; the ghoul was quickly scaling down the ladder to, for some strange reason, go after Danny. The Horsewoman didn't do anything other than pull the arrow out ... which meant that the flame demon was walking around with an open wound. Gosh, why did she sound like she cared so much? But for now she could offer some first aid (which would probably be flat-out refused), or at least get Roch to take a look at her.
So... what should she say? “Danny, hold on and let me take a look at that” ? Or “Wait Danny, let me take a look at that” ?
“You might get an infection if you leave that untreated,” she cut across curtly, deciding a threat might be the best approach. But really, she didn't know. “Look, at least let me get Roch if you won't let me look at it or patch it up for you.” The offer was there, Edel didn't know what else to say. It wasn't as if she could say anything to appease the flame demon even if she tried.

Danny had a dilemma. She really hated Edel. It couldn't be stated enough. She hated everything about the ghoul. The pity. The perfection. The personable attitude. The way everyone loved her, when Edel did virtually nothing. The way Rikki and Roch looked at her like she was going to break any second.
But if she was being honest with herself, her win really jackin' hurt. She could only keep up the facade of anger and hatred so long before her win just gave out on her. She could already feel the FEAR leaking out of it- it wasn't very fun.
After a long moment of silence, Danny said, "Can you fix it?" Not "yes please help me" or "no get away." Just four small words of acknowledgement.

The smallest of smiles was afforded but it quickly faded before Danny could get the wrong idea. It was a relief that Danny was being agreeable for once. Still, Edel tried to avoid most eye-contact with the flame demon and rather focused her attention on the wound. A small tear in the webbing ... nothing that she had learned to fix in her first aid classes. Edel let her fingers touch the wing apprehensively, then she began to channel a bit of her Fear to heal the wound. It wasn't a perfect job, but at least she managed to stop the Fear from leaking. “You might ... need a bit of stitching ...” she muttered, mostly so Danny could know where to go to next.
“Feeling better?”

Danny stood very still as Edel did her work. Everything about the situation was making her feel uncomfortable. The icy fingers on her back left her cringing- the very touch of Edel made her shudder. It was too cold. Her heat aura was all but null standing next to the ghoul. Underneath it all though ... Edel's healing felt ... nice.
As soon as Edel said, "Feeling better?" Danny shoved out of her grasp. Once she got what she needed, she was done.
"Yeah, no thanks to you. I would've been fine on my own," she grumbled. Was that Danny's special way of saying thank you? Maybe. She began walking towards the compound again, no concern in her mind whether or not Edel was following her.

As soon as she was done, Edel quickly retracted her hand. She did not enjoy the heat searing at her fingertips, but that was a small matter she supposed. And now back to brusque and unagreeable Danny. Must have worked since she was back to normal.
The ghoul shrugged and watched Danny take her leave, still unable to take her mind off that fine a** booty off the flame demon's injury. Maybe she should send a text to Roch to take a look at it later after all...
