A few patrols in, and Eos was starting to feel like she'd never been away. Whilst it was fair to say that previously she'd never particularly embraced her senshi side, this time she was determined to do so in order to become stronger. After all, she was a stronger person that when she'd last been in Destiny City, so it made sense to have a stronger alternate identity alongside that.

Or at least, it did in her head.

She was still sticking to familiar territory, patrolling near to her home and areas she knew well. That way she could be sure that she knew the terrain, and use that to her advantage. Whilst she was getting back into the swing of patrols, howveer, other things she was finding more difficult to get used to again. The frilliness of her dress, for example. How on earth was that practical? Despite having a bodice underneath to prevent any embarrassing accidents, it was still an unnecessary add on that Eos couldn't comprehend. It just got in the way all of the time. Like now, for example, whilst she was fighting some massive hellhound youma.

Sailor Eos had been patrolling the local children's playground when the youma had appeared out of the shadows - physically it appeared canine in stature, but the sheer size and muscle mass of it gave away the supernatural element. That and the ******** wolverine-esque claws it was packing.

"Eos Flash!"

Jumping back, that frigging skirt momentarily blocked her sight by flying up into her face, but she quickly slapped it back down as she extended a hand and allowed the harmless blast of energy to envelope the youma. She had to dive to the side as it leapt for her with it's claws outstretched, cussing under her breath at the time delay of her attack. She quickly snatched a handful of twigs off of the ground, throwing them towards the hound in the hopes of some sort of distraction.

Instead, it merely lifted a paw and sliced clean through them.

Well, ******** will lose smell next post C: )

The Eternal Senshi of Danger felt the presence of another senshi nearby, and moved toward it. It was like a moth to flame sometimes, but his motivations weren't exactly pure.

He wasn't interested in meeting new friends. He wasn't worried someone from his side of things was in trouble. He wasn't looking to be much help to anyone or anything. Not tonight, nor most nights, save when he had to or it was a friend. No, he was just going to take a look to see if there was any fun to be had.

His brand a of fun included fights, arguments, bullying or finding someone to mess with. He was not particularly picky, either, about his targets.

He saw the senshi and the dog like youma fighting in the playground. He leaped down from the nearest roof and crossed the rest of the distance on ground level, he arrived in time to see her fighting with her own skirt. His laugh cut the sounds of battle, though he did see that she was having some trouble.

"Need some help?" he asked, his voice ringing with his grin. She'd have to ask for it.

The dog-youma dived again, and Eos had to do some very quick side-stepping in order to avoid those claws. Seriously, how did it even walk with them? Surely they had to give it some balancing issues or weight issues or something?

And then all of a sudden, the youma stopped, a look of complete and utter shock on its face as her attack took effect. Eos didn't know it, but the youma had lost its sense of smell - which, for a dog, was a major sense to suddenly not have. Sailor Eos didn't know what she was thinking, but the pause was all the excuse she needed to retaliate with some diving of her own, leaping at its side with her elbows outstretched. It gave a yelp in pain, and brought its back (luckily un-clawed) leg up to kick her away. The blow was to her stomach, and stung as it struck and forced her backwards again.

All in all, a laugh was the last thing she expected to hear.

Allowing herself to be distracted momentarily, she glanced sideways and saw a boy. The massive power signature gave him away as being a senshi, and she spotted the buttwings - an eternal. So why on earth was he standing there and not giving her a hand? "Uhhh, yeah, that'd be nice!" The youma was momentarily disabled by the strike to its side, but she had no doubt that it would soon be back.

Chaonis watched her struggle with the youma, wondering what had happened to it to make it stop attacking for that moment. He might not have been helping, but he was watching, and he saw the strange way the youma had acted and opened itself up for attack when it should have been going for the kill.

Had she done something to it?

Chaonis grinned at her, as if debating her need. Yes, she did look like she could use a hand: she wasn't getting anywhere against that thing. Sure, she had it on the edge now but it would recover and be pissed at her for poking at it. She either needed to dust the thing, or get to running.

Bear baiting wasn't wise.

"Alright," he said, cracking his knuckles and stepping toward the youma. He grinned at it. more and more, recently, he had felt all too pent up and a constant need for fights to release his energy. So he wasn't complaining now, at this chance. He lunged at the thing, a brawler by nature, swinging his fist for its head.

For a moment she'd been afraid that he'd refuse to help, and so there was an audible sigh of relief when he stepped towards the youma. Eos was shocked by how brash he was, however, immediately going for the head in what she viewed as a somewhat brutal assault.

But perhaps that was where she'd been going wrong before.

It seemed to work though, the youma howling in pain as it attempted to shuffle back away from Chaonis. Not wanting to just stand there and not do anything, Eos moved forwards too, somewhat more hesitant than her saviour. Obviously, youma were evil, and needed to be exterminated. But smashing them in the face just seemed...cruel. Still, it seemed to be a kill or be killed world. Eos had promised herself that in resuming her senshi identity she'd no longer be a pathetic pushover. This was the first step on that path.

And so, with brutality to equal that of Chaonis' strike to the face, Eos swung her leg around to connect with the youma's chest.

Brutal might as well have been his middle name, though he had a lot of those. Strong, brash, crazy, annoying, dangerous, reckless, cruel, mean, bully. He got rather used to all the names people threw at him, and bore each brand like a badge of honor. Why shouldn't he be proud of who he was?

He didn't care if others liked him for it. He wasn't living for anyone else but himself, so what was the point?

Chaonis was not going to hold back on the account of a youma, when he didn't even pull his punches when he was training with other senshi. He believed in strength, if he believed in anything, and he was going to use what he had to beat every enemy to the best of his ability. It was the one thing he actually put effort into, and only because it was fun.

"Good hit!" Chaonis said, in something that was almost a compliment. He flashed her a big, handsome grin and winked at her, charging toward the youma but not attacking yet. "Follow through! You've got it stumbling and don't let it recover itself! Crush it into dust!"

She was surprised by the resistance her leg met, presumably from the abdominal viscera of the youma. Still, she had enough momentum behind her to send it careering onto it's side with a shriek of pain, and a warm, bubbling sense of achievement rose in her. She wasn't enjoying this, was she?

Hearing shouts, Eos was already there, not even turning to see Chaonis' handsome wink as she brought her fists down on the collapsed youma's face in quick succession. One, two hits, all to the skull, and it was with the third to the eye socket that a final horrific scream resonated as the youma crumbled into a pile of dust. Eos stood there breathing heavily for a few moments, looking at the remnants of her foe before turning to face Chaonis with a somewhat shy smile that certainly didn't suit the brutal fighting style she'd just exhibited.

Had she really just done that? And...sort of enjoyed it?

"Thanks." Whatever the case, it was very clear that without the boy's help she would have been youma chow by now. Offering a hand - albeit covered with a somewhat mucky glove - her smile became slightly more solid. "Sailor Eos, Senshi of Senses."

Chaonis watched the dust clear, grinning ear to ear.

"That was very good. Very good. You kicked that thing's a**." He laughed and hooted, moving toward her and looking her over. Maybe for injuries. Maybe just because he could. He grunted and shook his head.

He looked at her hand and debated it.

Every cool guy declined handshakes, at least in the movies. They were too cool for school, and certainly too cool for formalities. But he was not the typical cool boy. He didn't like to do anything typically, in fact. He actually never really gave too much thought to his decisions. He nodded his head and took her hand, giving it a firm shake and hanging on to it.

"Chaonis. Senshi of Danger."

The compliments and praise made her heart swell a little, and Eos couldn't help but feel proud of herself. She'd killed a youma. Her, the previously bumbling, terrible, pathetic excuse for a senshi. And she'd done it mostly by herself (she did have to give Chaonis some credit).

"Only because you stepped in to help," she retaliated, not feeling comfortable in taking all of the credit. This swollen ego was a foreign feeling for the blonde, and something she wasn't accustomed to. She was usually very modest, and it didn't quite sit right with her to feel so proud. She noticed his looks but shook them off, not thinking much of them.

When he took her hand and shook it firmly, she smiled, although her pinks did pinken somewhat when he kept his grip. Most would have let go by now.

"Well, thank you Chaonis. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Let's not call it help," Chaonis grunted, though he was grinning. Clearly, he liked credit and he was not very good at playing otherwise.

"Training. Something anyone who wants to actually survive is probably doing. Just wrong. Now you know how to do it right." He grinned at her crookedly. He didn't care if another person had some confidence, felt a little cocky, so long as they didn't step on his toes.

Or his own ego.

He released her hand to fold his arms over his chest, grinning. He saw her blushing and he liked that, chuckling to himself as he nodded his head. most people did not leave saying something like that, but he had been pretty nice, all things considered.

"Alright. Stay in touch then," he said, taking his phone out and getting her information down. "You need training, or want to get into some trouble, you give me a call." He winked as he spoke, but he meant it. Both parts.

Training. That was a far better way to put it. Her grin growing wider still (it was possible!), she nodded eagerly at his statement. He seemed a massive egotist himself, but right now she didn't mind. It was nice, refreshing almost, to meet someone with so much confidence. Then again, he probably wouldn't have earnt his buttwings without it.

Stay in touch? He was going already? She was about to express her disappointment before managing to catch herself just at the last moment, instead allowing her grin to fade to an almost knowing sort-of smile. Play it cool Eos, don't appear too eager... He had his phone out, presumably to get her details, and she responded by doing to same. Chaonis...it suited him. "I may take you up on that offer," she said, flashing him another smile. Getting into trouble sounded like fun, and god knew she could use some training.

"See you soon, Chaonis."

Not wanting to be the one left standing behind staring aimlessly after him, Eos took the initiative and swiftly leapt onto the nearest roof, departing back in the direction of her apartment.
