Kettil was doing his usual thing which was getting into everything he possibly could and try to see what trouble he could make. Exploring seemed like it'd be fun and a good way to observe all the things available to him. Endzela peered around curiously and she pointed a wing over to the Library, "Let's go there," she demanded.
Yes. Demanded. Her tone didn't seem to hold even the hint of an option available to him. Not even a small one.
The Muut sighed a bit with a small grin, "Geeze, Endy, so bossy lately," he muttered as he meandered on in and took a glance around. As his eyes gazed at everything he had to admit it was pretty damn impressive. Though he hadn't spent much time at the library within Amity but he knew back home they had nothing this major. At random he checked out a single book couldn't make heads or tails of it and put it back.
Way over his head, dude. Way over. The Library General setting: The library, like all other structures in the Isle consists of one large open room. Ornate paintings decorate the 'skylight' of the library structure, the ceiling is dome shaped. It is rather dim, other than sparse, yellow lighting, though the walls are crammed full of books. Most of them seem like logs actually, simply stating a simple date. Upon opening the books, they are entirely unreadable, simply filled to the brim with a series of four digit numbers and scrawl in an entirely different language. OOC: EVENT ROLLS AND PROMPT MECHANICS: - When your student has arrived in this setting, you can CHOOSE to roll a 100-sided dice at any point in time. You can only do this twice per RP you make. Match your dice roll to the results below for a prompt/ small reaction that your student may discover. RP out results accordingly. 1-20: You pick up a book, and notice that it has the number1999 on it. Oddly enough, when you open the book up, inside instead of random scrawls, are also strange diagrams. You don't really understand what they mean, as they all the circles in the diagrams are covered in unusual glyph markings. (see below for horsemen point prompt) - Horsemen point prompt! You also see something glint next to you, but is it just a trick of the light? Roll a 6-sided dice. If odd you obtain one horsemen point! You can only redeem a max of two from all prompt prps/orps your student is in per OOC 24 hours. You can redeem these here and here! 21 - 40: You take a closer look at the ceiling of the impossibly high library and notice that the paintings, around the corners, take a more morbid sort of tone, as the figures in the paintings seem to shed their skins and turn into skeletons. Okay then.... 41 - 60: You notice a clansmember scouring the archives, his arms full of books. He has several books that actually have letters on them, though they simply state " The Teachings of the Path of Death. Boring. 61 - 80: You see a Clans member, entirely covered in a black cloak walk past you: one of the Clans priestesses. She seems to be in a hurry though. 81- 100: You notice at the far end of the library there is a sealed passageway. However, the door seems to be firmly shut, and in fact, made out of solid stone.

((ENTERING FROM ORIENTATION))
Though the dorms were interesting, Ace was not really the room-dwelling type of guy. On vacations and such he was never staying in his designated room (unless being punished by frustrated demon parents) so finding a flash of gold and blue around every corner then was not uncommon. Of all the things at the Death island that Ace was unsure of was the lack of gold. He had signed up for Conquest, but the idea of messing with gemstones here at the Death's world seemed equally as enthralling.
Perhaps if he took a stroll around the premises he would find the 'gold' he was looking for. Along his search he stumbled across the grand library where already Ace could see the boil who'd shown up as soon as he did to the orientation.
"Excuse me-" he said, addressing Kettil. "You were the one talking to the split gh- Oh SICK owl-" he interrupted himself eyeing Endy. She wasn't a GOLDEN owl but those creatures could find a lot of rare things when they hunted. Overall they were a good omen to have around if you were the collective type.
"This place is humongous I can't imagine how much time and labor went into making it.." he said stroking his chin. "The name's Ace, by the way."

He was checking out a new book he kind of read a page then he started flipping around in it and it just wasn't his thing to read about so the book The Preachings of the Path of Death was snapped shut and tucked back into its place on the shelf with no further interest in reading much more on it. Then suddenly he was addressed by the boil he'd seen earlier.
Kettil grinned cheerfully at the new person while Endzela peered curiously wondering what he meant by 'SICK OWL', she was honestly feeling rather well. The Muut on the other hand had a handle on what the boil meant, "Thanks! She is pretty nice lookin'," he reached up and pet his Familiar feeling pride. He gazed around and nodded a bit, "Yeah it looks like it coulda been real labor intensive, wonder if they used help or not."
Slave labor was always a way things got done. Pleasant or not.

"Even with help it had to cost them a bundle of seeds doncha think?" Ace smirked. "What's your name?" he asked as he idly prodded some of the bookshelves, dragging his dark fingertips over the spines of the books while following the boil around. Out of curiosity Ace snatched the book Kettil had just looked at to see if it might interest him but flashed the clansmember golden eyes of intrigue. Really he was interested in talking to them, but blowing off Kettil would've been too obvious.
Now facing the Muut, Ace tapped his fingers together and steepling them together. "And what about your owl? She got a name?"

Pause.
Oh wait. RIGHT you're supposed to offer your name in return for the name given to you. Right. Endzela gave an annoyed sigh, "My name is Endzela and the boil that needs to relearn his manners is named Kettil," she introduced both of them for him.
Kettil let out a laugh of amusement, "I don't need to relearn anything. I just got caught up in thinking about what it would take in building this sorta thing. That's all. Dunno that'd depend on if it was enforced slave labor or not, Ace. Don't gotta pay slaves a dime but if you involve workers? You do."
Endzela let out a disapproving sound, "Perhaps it is a question to ask in a more polite way with proper phrasing."
There she went again talking about being polite. Geeze.

Wow so the owl talked? "s**t I want a talking owl.." Ace's eyes glazed over at Endy as she talked, practically missing Kettil's own name. It took all the effort in his bones to avoid reaching out to snatch up Endy. Snapping out of it Ace crossed his arms behind his back while listening to Kettil. "You don't have to pay for slaves, this is true but that material doesn't mold and polish itself," he said, now unlocking one of his arms to inspect under his nails.
Endy was really all about the manners. Ace reconsidered having a talking owl, especially if they were sent wit instructions from his parents.
"You know I wager these Death clansmen and women would not share the expenses behind these walls. Seems like a very exclusive culture though the clan of Conquest, whom I'm hoping to stay at next week, might be more than happy to brag about their worth. Where are you stationed to be after Death?"

Kettil let out another laugh, "They're more trouble than they're worth, trust m--OW, OW, OW," he suddenly yelped as Endzela reached and began to pull on a part of his ear forcefully with her beak as she let out an angry sound from the back of her throat.
Endzela probably lost a point for talking owls everywhere just then but she didn't care. Kettil was being so mean!
"Stop that, Endy! My ear is attached to my head y'know," he gave a small whine and she finally relented, "I was just jokin', Jack almighty." He rubbed his ear mumbling under his breath as he turned his attention to Ace barely catching onto what the boil was saying.
He seemed the glamorous sort in that he seemed interested in the value of things. The Muut pursed his lips a bit before he offered, "Well I guess that is true but y'know slaves mold and polish too. Though you're probably right even if you asked the question right they might not share the answer." Kettil stopped rubbing his ear and let out a hum, "I am going to War next time, if I can believe what Endy told me."
"Of course you can," she snipped harshly and tilted her head up in an insulted manner.

Ace's filter must've been set to off. "What slaves or the owls?" he asked before slapping his knee chuckling until he understood that Kettil really meant owls. "Erm.." he cleared his throat and regained his composure, and kept his lips zipped for the time being. Tact. Something a greed demon could either have plenty or absolutely none of it seemed.
"Aw, bummer. War sounds too much intensity for me, as you can see I'm not quite built for rough housing. I hope you enjoy it there though," he said dryly before strolling around the library a little more, idly scanning for something sparkly and exciting. "Kettil, you been around more than just the library yet?" he asked cocking his head. "I'm a bit.. shy I suppose you could say. I got the stink eye from a couple people during orientation so I gotta be careful where I walk." Regardless whether Kettil cared, he was hoping to maybe bounce some knowledge off the boil. He also apparently ignored a lot of what the introductory orientation discussed about.
He rolled his head up to observe the library walls and ceiling. The images painted above him did not help his nervous situation. Imagining West ripping Ace down to his skeleton was unsettling. But not for me. B)

Kettil almost said both. Almost. He gave his owl a meaningful glance but let Ace have his amusement at the idea for the time being though Endzela just kinda hunkered down and glared at the world as if it was fast betraying her on all the fronts.
"Nothin' wrong with that. Not everyone can do everything and not everyone likes everything there is to do," he observed in what he felt was a sage manner. The boil crossed his arms over his chest thoughtfully, "Yeah, I been in a couple places! Mostly I only just tried this meditation spot it was...Kind of interesting. I plan on tryin' some of the other stuff too. Seems like you can do most of them on yer own if ya wanted," he said thoughtfully. While Kettil was mostly a social creature he did want to see if he could do some of the training on his own rather than in a group, y'know. As a challenge.
Tilting his head up to see what Ace was staring at he blinked up at the view. That was kind of wicked but not something he'd put up on his walls or ceiling, "...'m Not much of an art boil, I'll tell ya that much."

{Entering}
After awhile of her own touring of the dorm rooms, as well as the corridor's between there and the other places of interest, Ev found herself quite enamored with the setting. It was... well she couldn't quite put her finger on it... but it made her put at an even more eased state of mind. Having a small troupe of peers didn't hurt either.
The few precious moths that remained, a few starting to die off already, kept hidden on her person. Though they were a touch daft, they were slowly picking up on the hint that... they wouldn't last very long here. And not being able to summon more of them had the Grand Bois a little uneasy. She could only hope her newfound acquaintances and studies would keep her busy enough not to think about it.
Entering the library, again, she was struck with the grand majesty of it all. Her head tilted back a touch as she gracefully walked in, lowering once she heard that two familiar voices of Kettil and his lovely owl. Oh... and there was someone else. Watching the two interact, again she didn't want to to interrupt, so she went on to pick up a book for inspection. Of course it was unreadable... but the script was interesting all the more. A manicured claw just barely grazed over it, a few moths peeking out to have a gander too.

Thank Jack Kettil had no objections to what Ace had said. Tasteless or not, he would've felt mega awkward making another enemy so soon. "A meditation spot? Huh.. they got any treasure viewing rooms ooorrr..?" he asked still gazing at the terrifying ceiling. "I like me some art buuuut..." Ace eye-rolled a little. "This stuff is a little dated for me.."
Just as he was looking down again Ace spotted someone floating their way into the room followed by a couple dusty moths. The greed demon shuddered a little but tried not to make a huge ordeal out of it. Moths were kinda gross really. Lizard fodder if you asked him.
"Well Kettil I do appreciate the talk. Glad that I have someone with a chatty owl to come to if I need some help," he grinned then contemplated the door. Hmm.. could he afford to stay a little longer? Time was money but here that principle could be falsified.

"I think I saw something about spelunking as I wandered about trying to figure out what bit of training I wanted to try out first but I had a mouthy owl saying I couldn't meditate and I had to prove her wrong," he grinned a bit and shrugged and then flinched after as Endzela nipped at the now very sore part of his ear, "anyways I am pretty sure spelunking might get some sort of treasure-things goin'?"
He'd always heard of people finding stuff that way.
"Mmm, not somethin' for me but different strokes for different folks, y'know?" He observed casually as always and then gave Ace a bit of a grin, "Always glad ta bore someone with my and Endy's talkin'," he said playfully. Then he saw Ev from the corner of his eye and waved toward her, "Hey ghoul!"

Turning the fragile pages with great care, Ev forced herself not to eavesdrop on the conversation going on. It wasn't polite, after all! A few of her moths daintily fluttered out to perch on the binding of the book that the sheer pages didn't entirely cover. The walked along some of the parchment too, but receded back to the ghoul once she closed the book.
Kettil's voice had prompted it, and she looked over to give him a warm smile in return. Ah so they were done, or at least it was an opportune moment for her to go over. Placing the book back in its rightful spot, moths all tucked away, she walked over to them, "Hello Kettil~ Endzela! I just keep finding myself further entranced by this place the more I see~" she giggled faintly, and in a very reserved, lady-like fashion. Her masked gaze flickered over to the other boil, giving him a polite bow of her head in greeting, and a small curtsy, "I do not believe I've met you quite yet, sir. Are you a friend of Kettil's then?" she asked curiously. A few of her moths poked out to stare at the other demon, but Ev's silent warning kept them at bay... for now.

"Spelunking?" Ace asked glancing back over his shoulder. "...hmm.. maybe.. if there's treasure involved, most definitely." Before Ace could escape though the ghoul with the moths had approached them formally, and he had no other choice but to acknowledge her.
Those... hidden eyes.. on that moth pattern confused the ******** out of the greed demon, even gave him shivers. "Ah.. I guess we're like acquaintances. I don't know many people from Amityville yet, I'm going to be enrolling later in the season," he said confidently. "Name's Ace," he flashed a golden cufflink before rocking on his heels. "And you miss?"

((Entering)) Despite being nearly trapped on a island and potentially going crazy from the inability to dig up the ground as much as he wanted, Phos was coping with the stir crazy feelings he was having. By focusing on a certain hunter and his burd. It mostly just started out with the hellhound staring at the owl from around the corners of bookcases, and then developed into a primal needs for the dog to sneak up on the flying creature and stick his semi cold humanoid nose up to its beak. To Kettil, it probably didn't look right. "Hello Burd.":3
