Hi there everyone!
This is just some quick info on Wix's new HTML5 feature.
- What is HTML5?
Basically it's the most recent revision of the HTML standard.
It includes some cool features like video support without Flash.
However, Gaia profiles don't allow users to add HTML to their profiles, so for our purposes we can only use the Flash version.
- How do you tell if you're using the HTML5 builder?
At the moment, the HTML5 editor looks a bit different: one difference is that the publish button near the top isn't green.
If you try to publish your profile and don't see an embed button, it's possible that you're using an HTML5 template.
You can also check by right-clicking any part of your Wix profile - if the dropdown's last option says something about Adobe Flash, you're using the Flash tool.
To get a Flash template, go to the create page, scroll all the way down, and click the flash templates link as shown in these screenshots:

Do you know of anyone who would help me make an entire wix profile? It's quite hard, and my computer keeps shuting down Wix. sad and I really want one!

Your best bet is probably going to be the Art Freebies forum.
I know there's people out there who make Wix profiles for other users, but there's no profit in it so there's not a ton...

I was browsing the guild forums and found this..If you make an account with wix and send me some basic information, I'd be happy to help you. smile --However right this second Wix is having a minor issue saving and loading profiles for me so you would need to be patient.

How do you switch too the flash verision from HTML5? It never gave me an option.

When you click "create" to make a new profile, there's a menu with a bunch of boxes on the left. The top section of that is called "templates", and has the boxes "all", "flash", and "html 5". By default it is set to "html 5", change it to "flash" and pick one of those templates.
If you already started with an html template, there's no way to convert it and you'll have to start over ):

Ok, I missed that or was looking at the small links on the wrong page or something. Thanks!
Now to go update some stuff. Maybe I'll just link the flash create page...
