The Toxic CaveSometimes you just end up in places not really… good for scaring. Or just not good for one’s health. Which oddly enough, can be a toxic cave filled with noxious gas. Sent down an elevator, students wait at the bottom as they are sealed in. Even those who can fly find they must go down…to get back up. Several outposts exist in the cavern to make sure that no one ends up dead, horsemen having taken a certain mixture that allows them temporary immunity. A clank and a light purple gas starts to fill the room. The test has begun, so students better start to run!Quote: Rules: -Running out of HP means game over, regardless of any saves you might have -If your student falls into two or more of the automatic HP reductions, please only apply one! You may ignore the others. -If you use a save start at the place you left off Stage 1 RNG 1-3 in your FIRST post. Subtract one to see how many lives you have. (IE get a 2, subtract 1 you have 1 save) Stage 2 Running, the hall ends in a pit. You need to descend into the thick of the poison haze to go further. But- it’s hard to see where it might be safe. Thick ropes hang from the ceiling and rocks just from the sides. Roll 1 d4 to advance! 1- You grab the rope and slide your way down but ouch! Rope burn! -5 HP 2- You try to go down the walls… and make it! Better move though the gas is thick down here! 3- You jump down… not the best idea. -10 HP 4- You try the walls but miss a step falling and knocking you out (Fail) If your a student that can fly/has wings in any form, you take an automatic -5 HP Stage 3 Running down yet another hall, you have to dive into a pool of dark water and swim through a tunnel. Roll 1 d6 to see what happens. 1- You manage to swim quickly and reach the other side just in time! 2- Fish bones dig into you, slowing you down and making you swallow some water! -10 HP 3- Weird. It feels like- Uh oh. You somehow managed to end up at a dead end. No time- you fall back and let the gas overtake you(Fail) 4- Something brushes past your body but lucky enough, you make it to the other side. 5- You try swimming up too soon and bump your head! -5 HP 6- Something bit you, but you can’t tell what, -5 HP If your student is aquatic, or fire based -5 HP automatically Stage 4 The path seems to be getting smaller, looks like you’ll have to crawl you way out but- which path do you take? Roll 1 d8. 1 and 3- You run into a spider who bites you for a nasty sting! -10 HP 2 and 4- You end up taking a wrong turn and hit your head! -10 HP 5 and 7- You managed it somehow to crawl you way to the next room, which has yet to be filled with that gas or… 6 and 8- You get lost and get…sleepy… (fail!) If your natural form is bigger than that of a dog, take -5 HP Stage 5 The last part of the tunnel! You can see light at the end but- It seems that in order to get there, you’ll have to beat the doors that are closing, trying to trap you in the poison caverns! Just as you make it to the end- the door slams down, leaving you stuck. You’ll have to break your way through! Roll to attack! For each miss -10 HP, you may keep going until you break free or pass out. For year 3, you must subtract versus the normal 6! It seems the horsemen expect a bit more from you. POINTS DISTRIBUTION [ Horsemen Points Distribution: ] (Select only one option based on your results) TO OBTAIN 1 HORSEMEN POINT: You get to stage 1 or 2 of the cave TO OBTAIN 2 HORSEMEN POINTS: You get to stage 3 or 4 of the cave TO OBTAIN 3 HORSEMEN POINTS: You get to stage 5 or PASS the cave

Amphi stared at the extensive course. War sure did have a lot of hardcore training excersises. In fact, she almost looked a little intimdated by the sheer amount of violence she would cause if she participated.
Amphi shook her head though, she didn't come here to be the shy little mermaid. She came here to grow stronger and better....so she could protect those that she loved...and liked.
Looking at the Moira reaper, she paused before taking the slip that would allow her to continue you on if she failed.
"Let's see how well I can do huh?" She gave a small smile to Thana and Biskoto.

"They have quite the method for training," He raised an eyebrow, staring into the cave after exiting the elevator. His coat was taken off and deposited outside - mostly because foxfire fur was oh so delicate (much like him, judging from the roll on this post), and he did not want to risk spoiling it, "Rather extreme, actually."
Biskoto just looked like she wanted to turn back - right now. The only reason she was staying was because Amphi looked determined to see this through.

"No kidding..." She blinked before stretching. If she was going to do this, she was going to do it based off the training Hel gave her.
Rule 1: Stretch.
She reached for the rope and grabbed it, testing it before swinging her legs around it. How she managed to slide down it was a different matter as she loosened her grip and used the rope like it was some fireman pole.
Big difference was...
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE." She squeaked the whole way down and two: "Oh my Jack my hands." She teared up at the sight of the red rope burn and tried to clench her hands together. Oh god that hurt. "Okay Thana! Your turn!"

Thanatos took a moment to admire the view - seriously, wearing so little and stretching? Amphi, you little minx you! - before watching as the ghoul slid down the rope. His poker face held true as he grabbed the rope... And used it help him grab the rocks at the side. Carefully, he climbed down, somehow managing to support Biskoto as he made his way to Amphi; it was a tough, tiring climb, but at least he made it without any significant injuries.
"Let's keep going."

Amphi continued to lightly blow on her hands before frowning as Thana easily climb down. Damn...he was good.
She smiled as he joined her before nodding.
"Alright, Here I go..." She jogged the hall before hitting a pool of water and smiled. Her home. However, even the light played on her eyes as she dove in and swam to the bottom. Her body lurched and she waited for the change from her legs to her tail to happen.
When it didn't she panicked and turned the corner of the tunnel and hit a dead end.
She had another brief moment of panic, her air, which she needed because of not being in her natural form was starting to tighten in her lungs. She swam out and broke the surface, gasping for breath.
That was terrifying, in a way that Amphi didn't expect it to be. Her hair dripped as she crawled out of the tunnel and curled up, waiting for Thana to come out.

He stared into the water, frowning a little when he realized that the water was unnaturally dark; it was almost as if the light was being swallowed. Quickly helping Biskoto to unwrap her body from his shoulder, he gave her instructions to keep close before taking in a deep breath and leaping into the water after Amphi, just as his familiar slipped in and vanished under the surface.
He somehow managed to navigate through the tunnel with no problem, Biskoto swimming behind him.
When he finally broke the surface, it didn't take long for him to spot Amphi, although she looked a little... Odd. Swimming over, he climbed onto dry land, suddenly really glad that he had removed his coat before the ordeal... Because it would most certainly be ruined if he had to swim through the tunnel with that.
Biskoto, glad to be out of the water, hurried over to the poor ghoul, wrapping herself around her and gently squeezing, attempting to give her a hug, "There, there darling... You're alright now..." She cooed softly, hissing in what she hoped was a comforting manner.
"We don't have time to lose, let's keep moving," He really didn't see what all the fuss was about, seeing how the poison fumes were catching up, "Here, allow me-" Without another word, he pretty much lifting her up, gestured for Biskoto to follow and ran - that was, until he realized that they would have to crawl.
Setting the mermaid down, he paused, "Ladies first?"

She took another breath to steady her and jumped when Thana and Biskoto broke the surface. Her smile weakened when Biskoto wrapped herself around Amphi and she held on to the snake.
"Your-" She flushed though when he lifted her up with ease and took off on a run, savoring the warmth of him despite that they both had just come from swimming. She had been terrified, terrified of the water she thought of as home and when she had been freed, she had been relieved. Relieved of being free from the suffocating fear that she would DROWN in the water, "Here...". The next obstacle stopped the Reaper though, setting her already wobbly legs down before nodding. "I have something to tell you...to tell you when we get out if you don't mind." She took a breath and started the next obstacle.
Slipping down the cavern, she moved as fast as she could, Rock scored her legs and arms that were bare but she didn't feel it.
She stopped as something crawled over her legs, giving her a tingly uncomfortable feeling before a sting on the back of her leg.
"Ow!" She bit her lip to lesson it and finally crawled out into a room filled without gas. "Thana..." she waited again for the reaper to appear, rubbing her leg where there was a giant bite mark.

"Oh?" Was all he said in reply as he watched Amphi vanish down the tunnel. He made Biskoto go ahead as well, before crawling in after his familiar; he still wasn't sure what the objective of this training was... If they wanted to strike fear into their hearts though, they had certainly done it right, judging from Amphi's reactions.
"This training course is certainly treating you badly," He helped her up, his familiar staring with worry at the both of them; the room was not filled with gas yet, but... It was only a matter of time, "Ελάτε πρέπει να συνεχίσουμε." He muttered, aiding her along.
"Darlingssss, we have to hurry!" She hissed, clearly distressed; however, it was too late. The doors had closed.

Amphi waited before she saw Biskoto first and then...Thana appeared not a moment before her. She went to help him up and sighed in relief. They had made it to the end....
Until the door's slammed shut. She stared flabbergasted before touching it.
"Θεά, μπορούμε απλά να ξεπεράσουμε αυτό σε ένα κομμάτι?!?!?" She didn't realize it but she was nearly on the verge of tears, and poor Thana, he must thought it silly she would cry in the middle of a training for war. Training! This wasn't even the beginning of the stuff to happen!
Her hand banged against the door.
"I don't wanna be in here anymore, I don't wanna be in here..." Her tears were starting to plop as the door remained oblivious to her plea's.

Holding the mermaid, he knocked on the door before nodding at Biskoto. Immediately, the familiar hissed, and hit the door with a quick strike, putting a dent in it... Which was better than nothing.

It didn't take long for the Mermaid to fade under the gas.
"Sorry Thana." She said with tears before nodding off. Fading to the blackness.

So Thanatos ended up carrying an unconscious Amphi out; once they were outside, he put his jacket over her to keep her warm, and carried her off to the dorms that they had been allocted.

Day Two SoloAmphi looked at the cave, this time alone without Thanatos with her and rung her hands together. She failed last time, and only with Thana did she make it so far. She took a deep breath before entering the cave. Her hand reached out for the slips that would grant her...a save before taking a deep breath.
"Let's do this Amphi."
