It had been one of the longest weeks that Faleen had ever lived through, and being a Team Rocket member, she had lived through some trying times.

There was still a confident, celebratory feeling in the air, left over from the great success that Team Rocket had achieved, the feeling only made things more awkward when mixed with Faleen's own confusion and nervousness.
That night she had gone to see Hayes, while she tried her best for force it from her mind, play over and over again, most prominently when she had nothing to occupy her mind with.

She could still feel his hands on her back, something she tried to shrug away before that feeling of confusion sank into her chest, and made her feel like she wanted to curl up away in her room.

Why had she done that...?

She felt fortunate enough to have quite a lot of work she needed to do. Be it with the Galactic Boss, Julian, or Deimos as most people knew him, getting the Yanmega Jet reassembled or seeing to other projects in robotics. She was able to keep herself quite busy.

Umbreon, who had been shaken by the recent events, having been the one to see Faleen's changes in behavior, was never far from his master's heel.
She didn't seem to mind, leaving him outside of his pokeball so long as he wasn't in the way.

He followed her today, down one of the hall of HQ after she had gotten off duty, He didn't know where she planned to head now, but he didn't care, he just followed her wherever she wanted to go.

Aulus was Not Pleased.

He was, in fact, furious.

As soon as he'd left Alex's quarters - apparently his friend had work to do, or maybe had just wanted some space but hadn't wanted to say as much - he had started his hunt.

Faleen.

He'd quite liked her until he'd had that little conversation with Alex, but in the space of a few heartbeats she had jumped high up on his s**t List. How dare she. How dare she? His hands had started to shake soon after he left his friend's room and were now balled into tight fists as he strode down towards the robotics labs.

Tried to stride.

Despite the fuel of red hot anger the best he could manage was a determined limp; his leg was playing up, and that was the least of his worries with cracked ribs and the huge burn on his back. Now was no time to go and curl up in his quarters though, he had a woman to find.

As it turned out he didn't have to go all the way down to the labs and either blag his way through to wherever she was or start hitting people. No. Here she was walking towards him now. Aulus stopped dead in the middle of the floor, his rage making the other Agent look smug, conceited, hateful, cruelly indifferent to the feelings of other. Words stuck in his throat, wouldn't come out, but his feelings were quite plainly etched into his scarred face, and blazed in his red eyes.

"Faleen."

The presence in the hall up ahead had caused Faleen to glance up from her tablet, and it was the look that greeted her that drew the Agent into a abrupt stop.

She knew Aulus, not very well, but she had worked with him before on missions, she had talked to him before. He was a gruff individual, but he was a sturdy Rocket, and from what she knew, was now Hayes' partner.
that alone would have made her want to avoid him for the time being, but with the way he was looking at her, she felt her stomach clench.

She had never had this kind of anger and fury directed at her from this man, and it left her frozen in place for a few seconds. Her eyes widening in surprise.

"Uh... Agent Aulus... Is everything alright?" she asked somewhat nervously, since she seemed to have a lack of things to really say.

The Umbreon next to Faleen slit up alongside his master, fixing Aulus with hard red eyes.

Aulus shot her a look of disgust, his fists starting to shake by his sides now and his face going not red but white with fury. He wanted to hurt her, beat her into a bloodied pulp, he wanted her to suffer!

Alex wouldn't want her hurt.

Running that fact over and over in his mind was all that stopped him trying to smash her face in, and somewhere under the rage that fact frightened him. Anger had always come easily to him, he'd always had a temper, but this... this was different.

"No," he hissed out eventually, "it is not alright." Her neck was quite slender. He could squeeze the life out of her if he wanted to, just get Tortie to hold off her Umbreon and-

Alex wouldn't want her hurt.

Faleen knew that look, and she could see the red eyes glaring at her growing darker.
Her own surprise slowly shifted into a more serious caution, one she usually adopted when she was dealing with a murderous dark type pokemon.
She couldn't help but take a half a step back.

"..." This wasn't a pokemon, this was a team mate, and he was looking at her like he wanted nothing more then to leave her bleeding.
It scared her.

"Whats wrong?" Not daring to take her eyes off of the man, He had been one of the ones taken by the Galactics, she knew he and the others were put through some pretty horrible things.

Umbreon's fur bristled, but still he just stood by his Master, taking a step forward before a nudge of Faleen's foot drew the Pokemon back.

She didn't know.

She didn't even know.

How was that possible? Did she care so little that it had slipped her mind in just a week? Aulus took a shaky breath and fought for control, for all that she was a hateful b***h she was a teammate and a useful one and she had come to rescue them and Alex would not want her hurt.

"Is that not obvious?" he snarled after some moments. "Can you really not work it out? Can't even hazard a guess, Faleen?"

It did not register with Aulus that he hadn't even got the full facts of what had happened out of Alex before he'd left; logic was long seared away by raw emotion. Somebody was hurting Alex. He had to make them stop. It was his fault! Screams rang in his ears and he could see hazel eyes blank and distant and lifeless. A month flashed through his mind in a moment, and then he was staring at Faleen again. No more. Alex didn't deserve any more, hadn't deserved any to begin with and here she was tearing out his heart and she didn't even care!

There wasn't any denying it when he said that, there really wasn't, as badly as she didn't want it to be brought up again, She knew he knew, and she knew why he was upset at her. her eyes widened again at this.

It brought what happened back, it brought what it felt like to hold, and be held by him, but with it, it brought back the fear.

Faleen seemed to flinch back before she could catch herself her jaw clenching tight, making reply difficult. Not sure what she should say or even if she could. No, her face just flushed a deep pink and she turned her head away from him.
"I..."
PostPosted: Sun Apr 01, 2012 3:39 pm

She was ashamed? That was what it looked like to him, was it because she actually cared or was it just that she was embarrassed to be called on it? His blood sang and his muscles screamed and his fists itched. "What's wrong Faleen? Meowth got your tongue? Nothing to say at all?"

He didn't know what he was actually going to do.

Here he'd been, storming down to find her and... and he didn't know what he was going to do. He couldn't hurt her, no matter how he wanted to, and nothing he could say would make things better. He couldn't just let her walk away though, he had to do something, maybe find out why she'd done it or or something! He felt sick, and he could hear the pounding of his heart. He had to do something. He couldn't stand to be useless, helpless to stop the pain. In his mind now there was little to no distinction between there and here, anger and growing panic made them one and the same no matter how senseless that was. He couldn't fix it. He couldn't make this better. His heart beat faster and his fists clenched tighter and he stood his ground waiting for an answer, but half expecting an attack.

While Umbreon seemed bristled that this man was speaking to Faleen that way, the women herself didn't seem to be all that defensive with the way she was being treated.
While normally a very composed women, she was far from upright and straight forward right now, and she couldn't seem to look at him just yet.

She didn't expect to be confronted about this, especially not by Aulus... but that only meant one thing really, if Aulus was upset about it, and Hayes talk to Aulus, then that would mean- "He's upset?" he asked, in a low voice.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 01, 2012 4:02 pm

"Oh, no s**t Sherlock!" Aulus snapped, fists now clenching and unclenching spasmodically. "After all he went through," the scarred man went on, his voice dropping back to a dangerous hiss, "After all that pain, why did you feel the need to hurt him more? Haven't you even got the spine to look at me when I'm talking to you?" His ears were ringing now and he was starting to feel... not right. Control. He needed control because he could not afford to hurt her. Despite all the b***h had done, Alex would never forgive him if he hurt Faleen.

Hayes was upset... She had known it by the look on his face when she had closed the door, something she had tried to rationalize, but when she was hearing it, she couldn't just try and hide it away with work and logical thinking.
Her chest was starting to hurt again.
She had upset him.

He made a comment about looking at him, and he was right.
The Agent shifted, turning her eyes back onto the enraged man, leveling her hazel eyes onto his furious red.

"... It was never my intention to hurt him... I didn't-"
She paused, staring back at him for a few seconds. "I didn't know what else to do. I just... reacted... I couldn't do it."
her hand tightened on her tablet.

He supposed he should be glad it wasn't malicious, but it didn't make him hate her less. "Intentions are all very well but actions have consequences," Aulus snarled. She'd hurt him. "He cares about you," he'd say no more than that for the sake of Alex's privacy, "he's been though hell!" Just reacted: thoughtless, careless, awful woman. "Couldn't you have thought for even a second before you reacted? You didn't know what to do? What about him, just back from that, couldn't you have considered him before yourself? You, you hurt him!" The accusation was no louder than his previous statement - if anything it was softer - but the words fairly crackled with emotion, and his voice shook slightly.

Faleen listened with her quiet stance, though slowly her brow tensed.
Something he said seemed to strike a chord, or several things he said did.

"That's quite enough." She snapped in a very strained voice. She sounded like she was trying to put back up her professional tone, but it kept getting overwritten with anger, or sadness.
"For the last month, the only thing I ever did was consider what was best for him, you don't think I knew what they were doing with all of you, with him? After the way we slighted Galactic, none of us were disillusioned!
Sleepless nights and hours upon hours pored into every possibility ever scrap of information that might lead to a clue, all the while knowing that every second, every hour that went by, terrible things were happening that we had no control over." She took a step forward "You don't think I was right there in the front lines at any hint of his location, Was right there to present my value, as to be placed on the recovery mission-."

She broke of, taking a shaky breath but not looking away from Aulus. "You certainly have no right to accuse me of not considering him before myself, No right! "
she sounded forceful now, pointing a finger out at the man.
Her face only turned red as she talked, and through her own struggled, looked as if she was holding back tears, either it be angry tears, or tears from regret and guilt.

After all that, and she still hurts him... The look on his face was suddenly plastered into her mind again.
"..."
PostPosted: Mon Apr 02, 2012 11:24 am

He hadn't expected that, and had no idea how to deal with it. Breath catching in his throat Aulus took a half step back before he caught himself and planted his feet firmly on the ground; what was he doing, backing off from her? When she took a step forward he tensed up but didn't move this time, though he twitched slightly when she jabbed a finger at him.

When she finally stopped he found it impossible to speak for a few moments but eventually he managed to draw breath and martial his thoughts to go on. "I have every right," he replied, his voice now tight and strained too. "I didn't see any of that you're on about; all I've seen is what you did since we got back, or the effects of it anyway! I've spent the last... the last... however long it damn well was trying to protect him and just when I thought we were safe you had to go and, and, and-!" He ran out of words there and stood rooted to the spot in the middle of the corridor, his only movements shaking fists and the rapid rising and falling of his chest as he took ragged breaths.

There was a time that Faleen allowed the two of them to stand in the strained silence, Where the breathing was difficult, and words were hard to catch and form as they buzzed around.
Still, Faleen refused to look away from the red eyed man.
Never look away from red eyes, less it grants them an opening to attack. A thought drilled into her head of training red eyes pokemon.

"I would appreciate it then, if you don't go running off in a manner such as this with biased, or incomplete knowledge."
Her fist clenched, but she said this as 'too the point' as she could.

"As for Hayes..." She paused again. and seemed to be stuck here.
What could she say? what could she honestly say?
She was sorry? she didn't mean to?
What would be the point of that, it wouldn't change what she did, or change how confused and lost she felt about this whole situation... about him.

Faleen looked as if she was trying to say something, anything.. but words wouldn't come, leaving her standing stiffly, red faced.
