User ImageBusara couldn't remember a time when she was happier than she was right now. Well, maybe when her parents had been alive, but that had been a different kind of happiness. Gazing lovingly at her children, she finally felt like she had actually gotten what she'd come here for in the first place. The pregnancy had been more than a little unnerving for her, but she had taken the new experience in stride. In this case, the ends definitely justified the means. Busara was feeling a peace that she hadn't felt in a very long time. She felt like she could finally enjoy being here in the lands that she'd been calling home for some time now. Even though she had been relatively settled here, she had still felt as though she were missing some vital chunk of her life. It had made her restless and unsure of her own decisions. But now, looking down at the small faces, she couldn't so much as think of a coherent reason as to why she had been so doubtful of the direction that life was leading her in.
"Come little ones, we're going to see your home," she spoke softly, ushering the cubs out of the den and into the pride's lands for the first time. They were big enough to be brought out now.

User ImageNabila stayed close to her mother, unsure of the world outside of the den. She wasn't afraid though, along with her mother her siblings were also with her. As they exited the den together, she looked out into the pride lands in wonder. Her life up until now had consisted of eating, sleeping, and playing with her sisters and brothers when she wasn't doing either of the previous two. She squinted her red eyes as the sun rays spread across the earth before her.

User Image Uli peeked out, red eyes quite wide. He'd played near the den mouth before, yes, but never really gone outside it. His paws pressed into the dirt, and then grass, slow and cautious. Finally, he scurried, soon hiding under his mother and peeking out. With his own gray coat, much the same shade as Buscara's, the cub started blending in with her. The easiest way to spot him was the black mask on his face, as he took everything in around them. The world was so LARGE, and he suddenly felt so SMALL!

A voice suddenly tickled the back of Uli's mind. Look at this big wide world... All for the taking! Shove over so I can attack something!

Uli squeezed his eyes shut, shaking his head and scratching his ear. Mentally he yelled at the voice to shut up, for the moment ignoring it in favor of sticking close to his mother, brother, and sisters. He paused, looking around for his brother. Did he vanish into the grass, or was that his imagination?

User Image Aiyetoro walked out of the den in no real hurry to leave it safety, but knowing it was time. Behind her mother, sister, and brother she sat looking up at the big open world. She gave a small smile, thinking on how nice it was, so nice, so open.

Aiye's ears flicked at some flying thing that buzzed around them and she turned her head to watch it, before he eyes roamed over to the den that was so much smaller now than it seemed everything else around them.

She turned to look at her mother and smiled, showing her liking of the world outside the den. She wondered what they would do and who they would meet briefly.

Keeping a close eye on the cubs, Busara slowly began to climb down the short distance between the side of the mountain to the ground level. She would have brought them out sooner, but she had been afraid of them falling down the bumpy slope and hurting themselves. So, she had waited until they had developed a little more strength and dexterity and could manage the climb down. Busara descended the uneven mountainside until she felt the softer grass of the ground beneath her feet. Making sure that all the cubs were accounted for, she headed out into the lands. The sun was warming the rocks that laid around the corner from the large den where everyone slept, and there were already a few residents lounging on them. Pausing, she looked under her legs to see the small boy hiding there. "Ulimi? Are you alright?"

Nabila, at first, looked uncertain about the downward climb to the ground. She had never really done to much climbing, especially going downward. However, once she looked at her siblings, she puffed up her chest and marched forward. Tentatively putting her paws on the rocks, she gradually hopped from one rock to the next. She nearly tripped a couple of times, but she caught herself and managed to get the rest of the way down. Once she felt level ground beneath her paws she felt relived, and once she saw the magnitude of space before her, she immediately thought of the fun adventures they could have out here. Turning to Aiye, she said smiling,"Look how big everything is!" Nabila laughed as she hit the grass and began to run around in excitement.

Maneno'makali wasn't the first at her mother's side, though she certainly didn't want to be the last. The dark furred offspring pushed out of the den's entrance, blinking her golden eyes in the sun's light that now came down to greet her. She'd played in the mouth on more than one occasion, but she never disobeyed her mother in an attempt to go farther. Today would be full of firsts and she was keen to experience them.

Her brow furrowed as her vision adjusted to the change in lighting, but her expression was certainly one of pleasure as she picked her way on oversized, unsteady paws in an effort to keep up with her pale furred mother and her slew of siblings.

"Uli?" She brushed against her pale brother's side, before becoming somewhat distracted by what Nabila pointed out. It was all so big... The sky and the terrain seemed to stretch on in an endless fashion. She found herself wishing her eyes were stronger, so she could see farther. She wanted to see and to experience all of it.

Uli blinked, noticing the concern of his mother and sister. One ear twitched as his mind fully came back to itself, before he smiled at them. "Oh, I'm fine!" His attention was quickly grabbed by a butterfly, drifting on the wind. The cub wiggled, before taking off after it and swatting. For the moment, that Other Self was buried in his mind, resigned to watch from the inside out as Uli enjoyed himself. He jumped on a boulder(More a rock, though - It only looked like a boulder from his perspective), jumping after the butterfly. But momentum and gravity worked against him as he found himself tumbling in the dirt and grass instead, finally coming to a rest on his back, upside down, with his hind paws in the air as he leaned on a rock. Red eyes opened and closed several times as he processed what had just happened.

Aiye nodded at her sister with a small smile, she did feel inclined to give a verbal responce, but that didnt make what her sister said any less true. She'd followed her mother over the bumpy slope and now she sat watching her siblings going about.

She looked to her mother and gave a small smile before getting up and walking off to inspect a grasshopper bouncing about. She watched it curiously, laughing softly as the bug landed right on her nose, making her go crosseyed trying to look at it.

She looked to her siblings with the grasshopper still on her nose.

While she wasn't overwhelmed by the addition of the five cubs to her life, she certainly was realizing that she would be doing a lot more work from now on. Her eyes nearly spun as she kept all of the cubs in her sight. She laughed warmly at their antics and was happy to see that they seemed to be enjoying the new expansion to their world. Busara stood there for a moment, and watched her children explore and play before she began to move forward again. Slowly she approached the long stream that ran through the length of the pride lands. It laid only a short distance, well a short distance for her, away from the base of the mountainside. Gazing up into the sky, Busara saw the birds that lived in the area lazily circling overhead while the world came alive in the wake of the new day. Stopping at the stream, Busara laid on the soft grass and stretched out in the sun to watch her children play after warning them to not get in to the stream.

Nabila was quite possibly having the most fun that she'd had in her short period of existence. The small girl loved new things, and this was the most excitement that she'd experienced up until this point. When she turned and saw the lopsided position that her brother had worked himself into, she laughed and said, "Uli how did you get upside down? C'mon lets go!, " before hopping off after their mother. When Busara stopped and laid in the grass, Nabila saw this as her opportunity to explore the surrounding land. It was like she had only ever lived in a tiny tiny part of her entire home. Running up to Maneno, she recruited her sister into her exploration, after playing for a few minutes first of course.

Oh, he was NOT getting left behind, especially by his sisters! Rolling himself over and flopping in the dirt, Uli scrambled up and chased them. As their mother laid down, he spied the stream... A little too late, at that. He found himself skidding, scrambling to grab onto anything he could. His paws flailed for a moment, before he found himself landing in water that was thankfully very shallow. Uli sat there for a moment, blinking, before he looked at the water and smacked it with a paw. Well, this was fun! He looked back at his littermates, all grins. "Check this thing out, it's fun!" Why didn't their mother want them in the water again...?

Maneno stuck close to her mother's heels, curiously taking in the new, expansive world that they were being exposed to. Uli seemed fine enough, or at least that was what his response had been to her concern and she was fine to believe him. What did he have to lie about, after all? He seemed to be enjoying himself and she giggled as he tumbled. The grasshopper on her sister's nose was equally hilarious and a grin stretched across her face, nearly ear to ear. The stream, however, was most fascinating.

The youngster stamped her paws on the muddy banks as her mother slipped in the cool water. She wanted to join, but wasn't about to disobey her mother's instruction. Uli's antics caught her eye again as he splashed the water's chilly surface and she pressed up near him, splashing a paw full of water at her brother.

"Take that!" She squeaked loudly, a declaration of a water-fight-war.
