Steeeeeeeeeetch. Flick. His tail snapped behind him as he stretched his small body out, mid stride. He was bored and lonely, and unsure what to do with himself. He rolled his neck, alone. He traipsed through the woods, wondering where he should go, what he should do. He found a small streamlet and pranced through it, letting the ice cold water dance over his legs and hooves until they went near numb. He stepped onto the grass, then shook himself. He trotted on, letting the damp keep him cool until he heard a sound that didn't belong to the normal forest ambiance. He stopped, tilted his head, ears perked forward. Grinning as he focused on the sound, he stretched once more then trotted over to meet his next new friend.

Paelor tromped along the path, bobbing his head to the tune that was playing through his mind. No one else would hear the music, he knew, but he had that blasted song stuck in his head, and he couldn't for the life of him remember where he'd heard it before. It was like one of those songs where, after just a few notes, you were hearing it for weeks. He even caught himself humming it softly, trying to identify it. It was a familar tune... maybe one he'd heard as a foal? Nah... maybe sooner than that? A basket? That was a stupid thought. How could he remember something he heard in the basket? Nah, it was probably something he'd heard as a foal. A lullaby maybe? It had the tone of a lullaby. Except peppier. A playground ditty maybe?
Dum dum dum do dum dum.... ugh! He shook his head sharply, trying to knock the tune loose....
Nope, still there.

He trotted onto the path, hearing the humming. He grinned as he spotted the tricolor mini with the awesome bag and the cool eyes. Terran stopped to stare, awed at the imp. "Hi!" he said, finally, cheerfully. He trotted a bit closer to make friends.

Paelor stopped humming and froze, just barely managing to keep from jumping. Now where in the blazes had THAT fella come from? He hadn't been there a minute ago. Had he been so distracted by that stupid tune that he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings? A quick, subtle glance around and he nearly cringed. Nope, he hadn't been paying attention to where he was going. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. He was going to get himself killed if he didn't keep his head. And that started with paying attention with the fellow in front of him.
"'Ello," he greeted, putting on a friendly smile as he sized up his new "friend." The other soq looked poor... but gullible. Not much profit and not much challenge. Eh, but looks could be deceiving.

He grinned. If he had been a dog, his tail would have been wagging. His eyes danced happily. "I'm Terran. What is your name?" he asked, trying to remember to be polite. He was just happy to not be alone any more! Friends made life wonderful!

"Paelor Tae Tasi, at yer service," he said grandly, giving a sweeping bow and his signature smirk. This fella had easy mark written all over his pinto hide. Though, easy mark didn't mean much if there wasn't much to get from him. He'd have to see for a few moments, just to make sure that this fellow wasn't actually some sort of devious con artist.

"Paelor Tae Tasi," he repeated in an awed whisper. "You have such a cool name!" he gasped. "Should I have a longer name like yours?"

"Don't muc' matter, does it? Yeh got th' name yeh got," Paelor shrugged, a bit thrown by the other soquili's enthusiasm. Terran had looked like a full grown fella, but he was acting like a hair brained colt. Either he was an incredibly moronic fella, or he was a genius. Paelor wasn't sure which.

"You can't change your name?" he asked, then blinked. "Not your name, I mean. I love your name, I meant in a more general way. I can't change mine? Can I just introduce myself differently? Or would that be lying? I guess that would be lying, huh? I don't want to lie. So I guess I'm stuck with my name? I guess?

"Oh! A nick name! That could work! How do you get a really cool nickname?" he asked. "Is yours a nickname or is it your real name?" He danced from hoof to hoof. "My brother has a cool name too, but I don't know if it's a nickname or not. I never asked him."

He'd heard of folks like this... those who were physically adults but mentally children. He'd never thought he'd ever meet one, though. He didn't much care for children... they were small and dull and loud and sticky. Ugh....
"Yeh earn a nickname," he said, carefully. "And nah, Paelor's my real name."

"Earn one! I can do that! How do I do that?" he asked, considering. "I'll do anything for a nickname as cool as yours." he blinked, "As cool as your real name, that is," he clarified quickly.

He leaned back on his haunches a bit, pensively. Since his new friend didn't know, it didn't matter that he didn't either, but he already said that he didn't, so what should he do now? Should he ask Denji? He wavered, usnure.
