Unlike the sun flames in hitman reborn or a healing-affinity based wish in madoka magica, it seemed that moon hunters did not get an extra boost. Nor did having a healing charge give a hunter an extra boost either. But Saya wished it did, very badly, at the moment. She clutched her stomach as she made her way out of the dorm room, wincing at the bruise. Even the slightest brush against her skin was painful.
Then he shouldn't have hit you so hard.
Prompto referred to her most recent spar with Marcus. It was evident that the other moon hunter hadn't intentionally given her such a painful hit, it just happened that way. She had tried to tell Prompto that multiple times but her weapon refused to listen. But it was a good lesson to learn from sparring. She nlinked, refocusing her gaze. She should get some breakfast, first.

Sigh. This shoulder wound--when was it going to get better? At the very least, it didn't seem like the monster had done anything particular to it, so it should heal like a normal injury, but...
But still. It ached, and the fact that she couldn't even use that arm without causing pain to shoot from her shoulder was quite the bother. Eva's lips were shaped in a grimace as she gingerly touched her injured shoulder with her left arm.
Just focus on getting better, Chara urged, her voice encouraging, At least it's not anything serious, right?
Her weapon's words earned a small smile, but Eva was still clearly unhappy. It had been a few days since the mission, and she was starting to get a little impatient. Considering that she had been in nursing school, Eva knew better than anyone else that it would take time and care for an injury to heal. Emitting a little sigh, the girl pulled on a small, lop-sided smile. "Well...it doesn't matter. Let's get some breakfast, shall we?" Without waiting for a reply, she head down towards the cafeteria.

It was actually closer to lunchtime than breakfast but Saya considered the first meal of the day as breakfast no matter what circumstances. Since the cafeteria was out, Saya decided to dine instead. it was a rare and expensive thing, considering hunters did not make what anyone would term.. a 'large salary.' She sat down, in the cafe, wincing as she sat on a stood and laid her plate down. She nearly dropped the plate, when she lifted a leg to seat herself properly. Her hand clutched her waist, understanding why people cursed at times like these. But it didn't mean Saya was going to say those crude words .. Although, she was tempted.
Saya had picked the kiddie meal, with apple juice and everything. She was in the process of poking the little beverage with a straw when she spied someone familiar walking into the cafe.

Mmm, cafeteria food. And by "mmm", Eva really meant, "God this is terrible but we don't have anything better to eat". Of course, by this point, the girl was rather used to the subpar food that was served at Deus Ex. She supposed that she shouldn't be picky though--after all, food was food, and they were offered enough to survive on. It could have been worse.
For her morning--or nearly afternoon--meal, Eva settled with a not-so-complete breakfast of a piece of toast and an apple. Truth be told, the girl wasn't all that hungry. What her body craved more than food right now was sleep, but she knew that Chara would undoubtedly nag at her if she tried to skip out on eating so...food first, nap after.
With her toast hanging from her mouth and her apple clasped in one hand, Eva started back out of the cafeteria, intending on finding a nice place to nap once she was done her food. What she didn't expect to see what a very familiar face standing in front of the vending machines. With a little grin, she removed the toast and called out to the other girl.
"Hey, Saya!"

[LETS JUST ASSUME SAYA ONLY HAS APPLE JUICE AHH THIS IS SO OLD KAI I AM SO SORRY I FORGOT ABOUT THIS~ <3]
"I want pa thai. I want white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. I want rice krispies. I want honey chex cereal." Saya grumbled, in a rare moment of peevishness. The area had been empty when Saya arrived but she hadn't realized Eva had entered.
"Oh! Eva! It's a pleasure to see you again. You're looking quite well." Saya tried to regain her lost composure while Prompto mulled over her words with a solemness not usual to his crisp manner.
Pa ta.. Honey chex.. what?

Eva was smiling as she made her way over, momentarily forgetting about her injury. It was only for a second, but that short lapse was long enough for the girl to instinctively lift her free hand to wave, only to wince at the shock of pain that shot through her shoulder. Bad idea.
She took a moment to recover, and then laughed, her expression faintly sheepish. "Hey, Saya. How's it going?" She paused then, her gaze slowly trailing down and falling onto the box of apple juice. Raising a brow, she emitted another laugh and gestured towards the juice--this time, she used the correct hand. "That's not all you're having for lunch, is it?"
Good food here was scarce through, that was true. As an intermediate trainee now, she could--in theory--go out sometime to store up on some real food, but she didn't want to go alone. There was still something about warping around by portals that made her uneasy. What if she got herself stuck somewhere, lost and alone?
"The selection here isn't very good, I'll admit, but--ah." Something suddenly hit her. It wasn't really lunch, but..."Want some chocolates? I've got a box back in my room."

Saya looked down at her apple juice, a reluctant silent taking over the moment. She wouldn't quite meet Eva's eyes because .. that really was all she was having for lunch. Saya couldn't help that she was a picky eater, although she would probably learn soon enough that being picky meant keeling over from exhaustion.
Saya's eyes lit up like a child on christmas day. Eva was like a godsent angel if she had chocolate because chocolate just fixed everything.
"Eva, you have real chocolate?"
Saya's eyes were practically shining, the box of apple juice empty at this point. Did Eva see the other two apple juice cartons next to her?

If Eva noticed the juice boxes, she didn't say anything about them, having been caught off guard by Saya's eager response to the offer of chocolate. Laughing, she lifted her finger to her lips. "Yeah, I got a pretty big box as a gift a while back. Shall we go get it?"
Considering the other girl's reaction to the mention of chocolates, Eva was sure that she didn't even have to ask. She jerked her head in the direction of her room, before taking a few steps down the hall, motioning for her to follow. "There's no way I could finish a box like this on my own, so I appreciate the help."
Chara, on the other hand, did not seem entirely pleased that Eva was offering Saya chocolates for lunch. I don't think this can be considered an appropriate meal, She scolded, her voice dripping with disapproval, If it were a healthier snack, then fine, but chocolates?
What's the harm of having a little treat sometimes? It's not like we get to enjoy ourselves often, Eva replied cheerfully. When she arrived at her room, she ducked inside and head straight for her desk, walking back out with...a rather large box of chocolates, really. She held it out to Saya.
"Go ahead and take as many as you want."

Saya's forehead wrinkled as she looked at all the chocolates. She didn't like dark chocolate so she had to take care of avoiding the ones that looked like dark chocolate. She really liked milk and white chocolate ..
"Eva .. Do you mind if I pack some home? Just like one or two so I won't spoil myself all at once?" Saya asked, the type who obviously saved the best for consistent times. She was probably the type who gave herself a treat once in awhile, versus all in one sitting.
"I wish you could taste chocolate Prompto! It'd be nice if you could."
"Suppose I could share taste buds with you .. Wouldn't we get in a lot more arguments if I wasn't a sweets person?" Prompto replied with a dry drawl, seeming to eye the chocolates intently.
"Oh."
"... Do you not like sweets?" Saya asked, her voice laced with curiosity.
"I didn't say that."

It was a fortunate thing that Eva's chocolate preference lay with dark chocolate. She picked up one of the dark chocolate ones at random and popped it into her mouth, savouring it. Considering how rarely she got to have any junk food these days, even a single piece was blissful.
Shifting the chocolate to one side of her mouth, she nodded at Saya. "Mmhm, go ahead! It's probably a good idea to save a couple for those days that you really need it anyways." God knows that Eva herself needed a pick-me-up on some days more than others.
Leaning on the doorframe, Eva emitted a sigh, lifting a hand to gingerly touch her injured shoulder. Just when would this injury heal, she wondered? It was such a hindrance having her arm unusable like this. Hoping to focus on something else, she turned her attention back to the other girl with a smile.
"So, how has everything been going with you lately?"
And so the rest of the day would be spent in idle, friendly chatter between the two girls.
