User Image It had been a long search with nothing to show for it. She had tried and tried to find Aziz, but either she was highly unlucky or he and his pride were farther away than she thought. She had found no trace of him, and that meant she would not get to join the handsome male in his pride where dancing was not normal. She had been looking forward to spreading a love of music and dance in his pride, as well as hanging around the charming male that she had first met as a juve, but things were not going to work out that way it would seem.

Mwezi'Nuru had finally given up and gone back toward the pride lands at which boarder she had met Dah. He had been a very nice lion and they had gotten on very well. Well, more than very well... That night had been wonderful. She really had to wonder at herself that she had not decided to just stay then rather than going off chasing Aziz whom she did not even know the location of! The best she could hope for would be Dah forgiving her now that she had found her way back. She really hoped he would forgive her for leaving.

Mwezi set herself at the boarder, near where she had had first met Dah and looked around. Perhaps he would come out if she waited long enough. If not, she could always ask someone that did happen along if he was around or would speak with her. She did not really want to invade the pride's lands without permission. They might not appreciate it, especially from a 'strange female' that dances. Duh had made it clear dancing was not normal in his pride either. She could always spread it there.

He had easily gone back to his old ways, which usually meant spending the day alone in it's entirety. Most of him was content with his way of doing things, the way he'd chose to live his life, but he could not shake that little inkling that something was wrong. Every so often his thoughts would whisper of the young lioness with the beautiful clouds that coated her paws. Thoughts that went mainly ignored, because part of him was reminded a time in his life where he was both extremely happy and extremely troubled. A time when he'd been around that lioness' age, actually. He smirked and shook his head a little because the thoughts had come around again.

It was foolish, being young. You knew everything and would listen to no one, and anything in life that did not go the way you expected it signified the complete end of your wold as you knew it. The conclusion made a full laugh rumble from his chest as he roll over from where he lay. He'd been lounging in the grasses of the pridelands, watching the sky. Perhaps it was that which got his mind to linger on the random meeting that at least felt like it'd happened ages ago.

Dah moved leisurely through the pridelands, a rarity in itself due to the fact that others were more willing to leave you be if you looks as though you were doing something very important and you couldn't stop to talk. It had been a mistake though, obviously. A few times he passed singular lions and lionesses, lounging like he'd been doing earlier. Once he passed a slightly larger group of younger lions, chuckling about some female sitting at the borders all stone-like and generally looking 'weird' in the act. He'd not cared very much until one remarked that she'd been quite pretty, with the moon and clouds that graced her pelt. A little shocked, as he thought he would never see her again, he moved toward the borders to have a look for himself.

Brow raised when she finally came into view he snorted, not sure what to make of the situation. "Well, look wha' the winds blew in." He called out, a mischievous grin on his maw.

Mwezi's ears perked up at the familiar voice and she turned her head to look at him. Her voice was just as sweet as always when she spoke. "Hello, Dahabu. I thought perhaps you would not mind seeing me again." She returned the mischievous grin, not something she would normally do. "Unless some prettier female has come along to swept off her paws by your charm. In which case, you would have no need of myself." She did think he was charming, but she had gotten the picture on their first meeting that he usually was not charming with others.

Mwezi rather liked his mischievousness and his smart comments. Dah was so many things that she had never really had to deal with before. She had kept to herself back in her mother's pride. Her mother had been sweet, but absorbed in dancing. Mwezi had taken up the same, so this male was very different. Even Aziz had been more serious and proud, where as Dah was fun. The lioness reached out a paw to touch one of his ears. "I missed you... and the further away I got, the less I could remember why I was leaving."

Mwezi's bangles clicked as she put her paw back down on the ground. She hoped she was not going to be turned away by Dah. Part of her was afraid that he was mad at her for leaving in the first place. Another part of her feared he had never wanted her to stay. And then another part, the biggest part, was what brought her back here. It said that they had had something special and he would be happy to see her. She nuzzled his cheek affectionately and then drew back shyly.

Ah, she definitely had the first bit right. He did not mind seeing her at all. She had grown, too. Her limbs had lengthened just a bit and she looked fully like an adult now, before when they'd first met she'd still seemed to have something almost young about her being. Now? Well now she somehow felt more graceful and refined, even just after one look. "Eh, did ya?" He purred out playfully, but the grin never left his face. Still, a little back and forth banter always made for a good time in Dah's opinion. He was a little surprised of her second comment, and his laughter showed this, along with his slight amusement. He wasn't one to win the females over, though how could she know that? Somehow he'd done something right with her. So right that she was back! "Aye, nothin' like that. More like they be runnin' off when they see me." He joked, smiling.

When she touched his ear he leaned his head into her paw, nuzzling it slightly. Ah, he missed her touch. Her words... her words made him happy. So she had missed him... "I missed yeh too." He said softly, half wondering why she'd left in the first place. She could have stayed here with him, he wouldn't have minded. He would have enjoyed that, really. But how could he put this in such a way that wasn't embarrassing? He supposed he shouldn't be embarrassed at all, she'd openly admitted that she'd found something about his company that she enjoyed.

She moved forward and nuzzled him, and he shut his eyes for a moment. When she drew back he opened his eyes again and moved forward, nuzzling her back. "So stay..." He whispered, tail flicking. His eyes met hers, waiting for her response.

Mwezi liked how Dah reacted to her. His jokes made her smile even if it had taken a little to become accustomed to him the first time they met. The lioness grinned and licked his nose. "I would not say running away. More like side stepping covertly." She still remembered their first meeting and how gruff he had been, so she could tease him a bit on that account. Not that she wanted to change him, mind you, just tease him a little. She had never been one for teasing before, but this male brought out interesting qualities in the very sweet female.

She gave him a shy little smile as she watched everything about him. It was nice to know she had been missed and that he wanted her here. Not just his words, but the way he moved said it. His movements might not tell the story as gracefully as hers did, but she still got the point in the end. She felt her cheeks get hot when he nuzzled her back. "If you will have me, I plan to stay this time." She could get lost in those eyes that were just a few shades darker than her own. They held such warmth and depth to her.

"I am a better huntress than I was before... but I am still an excellent dancer. You would be amazed how many things can cross over from one to the other." She remembered his teasing her about dancing being impractical and her eyes sparkled as she told him this bit of news. Her voice was still as sweet as always but now there was that little nettling in it that she had kind of learned from Dah. The poor male had taught her something and she was using it on him.

He was glad she wasn't put off by his comments, usually meant to be taken lightly but others refused to note that memo. Mwezi was different, she reminded him somewhat of his first love. Ki was a lot more crude though, much less graceful. He swallowed when she licked his nose, purring contently.

Of course he would have her! He was surprised out how strong his urge to protect her, and to keep her, was! He wanted her to be his, fully and completely. He found himself chuckling when she brought up her dancing, raising his eyebrows a little. "Well, perhaps I can see some of these dancing-hunting concoctions." He teased, though part of his words were also serious. He wouldn't mind watching her, regardless of how impractical he thought dancing to be.

He shifted, glancing back towards pride rock. "Will... you really be staying?" He asked, hoping this wasn't some sort of game or teasing. "I should show you to the royalty, you know."

Mwezi gave a soft purr and thought of how nice it was to be wanted like this. Dah wanted her to stay, to keep him company for the foreseeable future. That was... well the only word that came to mind was wonderful. She could have a home, a pride, and cubs with him. She could easily see all these things with this male, and she was sure the cubs would have no problems with being meek and shy as she had been when she was little. She could not see Dah siring meek cubs or letting any he did sire stay that way.

"Perhaps I will allow you to watch me dance, if you behave, Dah." Mwezi looked slightly smug as she spoke to the male. The good feeling of being wanted was getting to her a bit. Her eyes sparkled and her paws were growing restless from excitement. She wanted to find a den, snuggle up to Dah, and enjoy the fact that she didn't have to be alone anymore. "I do want to stay with you, Dah... I really do. If you need to show me to the royalty, then we should get that done, if you really wish me to stay."

He just chucked at Mwezi, nipping her ear. He wasn't one to think too hard about the future, but he thought his future with the lioness could be a wonderful one. She seemed eager, just in general, and he really liked that too. It felt... well good to be feeling needed or wanted or whatever. His tail flicked and he smirked. "Be'ave? When do I not?" He teased more, then nodded his head toward pride rock.

"It's this way. I think Yeh'll like 'em." He meant the royals, as well as the other pride members. Pridelands lions were not known for bad manners or being unfriendly. The majority of them were super pleasant to be around. Even though some had a tendency to be cranky or a little socially awkward; Dah believed himself to be among that number. "And after I could... er... show yeh my den." Or would she want he own den? Well that would be silly, wouldn't it? He'd just invited her to stay, and he had meant with him. So she'd want to stay in his den, wouldn't she?

Mwezi giggled at Dah. Such a silly question to her. Dah was always teasing and sometimes being grouchy. "I think the question should be when do you?" The lioness stood and started to follow Dah's lead. She did take a moment of distraction though by flicking her tail at Dah's nose. She grinned a little smugly at getting him with her tail. She had to admit that Dah brought out rare moods with her. This bold and playful manner certainly was not her normal! She had just flicked him on the nose with her tail and didn't regret it. Her mother would have certainly been surprised at this from her shy, meek and sweet child. Mwezi rather liked it herself.

"They must be wonderful lions, but I am sure I will not like them as much as I like you, Dah. You are special." Mwezi'Nuru could not keep her eyes off Dah. Everything about him was so fascinating. He was so gruff and yet so sweet at the same time. His words had funny accents in them, though she would never tell him that, and he rarely showed any embarrassment. She did not miss his hesitation over the last comment and she thought MAYBE that might be a little tiny sign of insecurity. Even so, it was a small one. "You mean what will be our den?" The words were soft and the lioness couldn't help fishing for a little reassurance that he DID want her.

His nose twitched and he sneezed as her tail tickled across it, and afterwards he laughed. He picked up his pace, playfully butting his head against her side in a little push. He may have brought out Mwezi's bolder side, but she brought out something softer about him. He was quite pleased how well he clicked with her, how they seemed to get along perfectly.

His gaze warmed at her sentiments, a purr escaping him. "Bu' not as special as yeh." He replied sincerely, nuzzling into her side. There was a moment of awkwardness, which in itself was new and exciting, when dens were brought up. As she asked her question he stumbled a bit in his haste to turn towards her. He didn't seem to pay himself any mind though. "Oi! Of course!" He exclaimed, perhaps a bit too loudly. He coughed, lowering his voice, "I mean, tha's what I'd like. If yeh'd also want that." He explained, tail flicking.

Mwezi allowed herself to be herded along by the headbutts to her side. She loved the contact and half danced away from each 'hit' to make it look more convincing. He was not trying to harm her, and she not only knew it but found it amusing to play as if he might be setting her a little off balance to tease him. She did love how they could tease back and forth and it was all in good fun. Mwezi had never really clicked so well with anyone before. Aziz might have been all charming words, but she could not think of him has being this much fun. She had definitely made the right choice coming back here.

Mwezi ducked her head a little in embarrassment when her comment threw Dah off guard. She smiled in spite of it, though. "Of course I want to share a den with you, Dah... I came back to be with you, silly." She poked him gently with a paw. "Lead on to the royals, so we can get to that den." Her paws could use the rest, and there was much about having a mate that she was excited to get to with Dah. She did want to get some rest eventually, though.

He smiled softly and nodded, deciding he'd like to spend the rest of the day in their den once all of the meetings were done and over with. He felt like he could talk with Mwezi forever, and he wouldn't mind doing other things besides talking either. Be it hunting or cuddling, he wanted to do these things with Mwezi by his side.

He just chuckled about her enthusiasm, nodding. He was starting his new life with Mwezi, and it felt wonderful.
