I know there aren't actual rulings on this question. But how would you use cards like Blaze Fenix, the Burning Bombardment Bird in a free-for-all? Would you send the total of all cards on the field to both opponents? Target one opponent and do the total of each cards on the field excluding the cards the opponent that's not involved has out? Or do total damage for each card on the field to one opponent?

It makes more sense to me to involve every card in the effect and target one opponent. but that seems like over kill.

I'd say it counts every players' cards. That's how it would work in a team duel.

That's what I thought, but my friends argued the point, and said it was unfair...(Note: Outside of tournaments, my friends and I play with 4000 to have more of a challenge while also improving our skills) But even so I thought Blaze Fenix would count every card on the field.
