She had come across the flyer while lurking about at the maul. The bright colors and flashy words that were sprawled across the equally as bright and flashy paper filled the ghoul with such excitement she felt as if her entire being was vibrating.
A new dance club had opened up in Halloween town and their grand opening was tonight. It was speculated to be one of the most amazing nights ever.
Mei had to go. The need to enthrall herself in all the loud, pumping music. The colors and bright lights. All the people gathered together to just dance the night away until one was sore and exhausted clawed at the surface of her skin.
There was really only one problem though. She didn't have anyone to really go with her. And going to a dance club was never fun going to alone. Having at least one other person to dress up and go dancing with was a necessity in these situations.
She let out a small sigh as she walked along the hallways of the school. Her attention clearly focused on the flyer in her hands as she read the words over and over again. Staring at the pictures of all the happy people dancing.
Mei needed to dance.

The first couple days after the Trials had been the worst, but as it got further into the past Mitzi found herself more and more able to act normal, to get back into the routine of studying and practicing and having fun. Still, she found it better to keep busy, to not give herself too much time to start thinking. That seemed to always lead somewhere bad. So for once she was actually headed to the library, to pick up some more study material. Better that than doing nothing. On the way, she spotted the jiangshi she had met the other day in Nurse Cricket's first aid class. The other ghoul seemed very focused on something in her hands, some sort of flyer, so the Reaper called out to get her attention. "Mei! How're you dong?" She walked over and tried to get a peak, curious what had the other ghoul so interested.

Mei looked up from the flyer as the familiar voice called out to her. She smiled at the other ghoul brightly, remembering her from the First Aid class. The Jiang Shi was glad to see a familiar face.
"Mitzi hey! I'm doing alright. How have you been?" She looked back down at the flyer in her hands then back to the Reaper. A little light bulb going off in her head. "I was just looking at this flyer I found for a new dance club that's opening up tonight. It sounds like a scream." She turned the flyer about so that the other ghoul could get a good look at it.
"I don't suppose you know anyone who might want to go do you? I kind of want to check it out but really don't want to go by myself." A hopeful expression took hold of her face.

The Reaper took hold of the flyer, examining it more closely. "Oh, hey... this sounds like a lot of fun!" Even if the undead ghoul's excitement hadn't been so infectious, Mitzi still would have been interested. "I haven't been to a club in ages; you're right, it's not as fun to go alone. Why don't we go together? I even know a couple other ghouls who might be interested, although it's a little short notice, they may already have plans." She was already pulling out her eyePhone and looking through her contacts, to see who might be worth texting.

A wide grin spread across Mei's face. She would have hopped up and down as well if she didn't have some control over her excitement. "That sounds like a great idea!"
Mei hoped the other ghouls Mitzi mentioned could go with them, but if not that was ok too. They could still have a really great time just them. Plus she could get to know the Reaper better. "I need to go change into something more appropriate. You see if your ghoulfriends can come and I will meet you at the front of the school in a few hours, yes? We'll get a taxi to take us there or something."
She didn't give Mitzi the chance to answer before she took off down the hall, turning around to yell behind her as she ran off towards the Undead dorms. "Don't be late!"

"Sure thing, see you then!" Mitzi was already texting away, sending out messages to several friends she thought might be interested.
Two hours later, the Reaper was waiting for Mei out near the front of the school. She'd showered, changed, and done up her hair and makeup, and was all ready to go. As she spotted the Jiang Shi, she waved. "Everyone else already had plans for the evening, so it looks like it's just us. But that means we can dance all night long!"

Mei had spent most of the time between then and now getting ready. Doing her make-up, picking out the best dancing outfit and styling her hair.
She ran along the sidewalk, the heels of her shoes clicking hard and fast against the concrete. The ghoul waved to Mitzi as she quickly approached, slowing to a stop in front of the Reaper. "Oh well, just means more fun for us!" Mei was slightly disappointed but it was pretty last minute. But that wouldn't spoil her fun.
"Alright then. I called a taxi so it should be here right about...now." The ghoul flagged down a taxi that pulled up to the school near where they were standing. "Come on lets go!" Without thinking for personal space, she grabbed Mitzi's hand and lightly pulled her towards the waiting car. "The night is still young and I want to get my dance on sooooo bad."

The Reaper ghoul was a little surprised when Mei grabbed her hand, but didn't really mind, following the other ghoul with a slight amused smile on her face. She even picked up her own pace to be beside her by the time they reached the taxi, her smile growing as she picked up on the Jiang Shi's excitement. "Of course, of course!" she replied, laughing a bit, as they got into the taxi. It didn't take long to get to the club, and it was good they were arriving early, as the two ghouls were clearly not the only people enticed by Mei's poster. There was a bit of a wait even just to get in, but at least it didn't take long to check Mitzi's bag and jacket. And then it was into the club. The purple-haired ghoul looked around in awe as they walked in. "This is amazing, Mei! Good call!"Yayoi I'm going to be mean and make you describe it. xd

The bright flashing lights.
The deep, thumping pulse of the music.
Mei was in near sensory overload as they entered the club. She could feel the music vibrate through her body. Looking towards the dance floor there were ghouls and boils of all races. Dancing, bumping, grinding, just having the time of their lives as they moved to the beat of the music.
The ghoul felt in her element. This was one of the things she LOVED to do. "It is amazing!" She replied loudly so that Mitzi could hear her over the music. Grabbing the other ghoul's hand again she lead her out onto the dance floor. The tiles of the floor changed colors and patterns in time with the music.
As she guided them both towards the center of the floor, she released Mitzi's hand and started dancing. Throwing her arms up in the air as she joined the rest of the collective dancers. A large smile on her face. "Come on Mitzi dance! This is what we came here for!"

The jiang shi didn't have to tug very hard; in fact, she was barely leading the other ghoul as they headed out onto the dance floor. Mitzi was grinning from ear to ear. She had been needing this, a night out, dancing, the lights, the people, the boils, everything. Before they even were out into the middle of the dance floor, she was swaying in time to the music, and as soon as Mei dropped her hand Mitzi was getting into the groove.
She knew this song, and started singing along. As much as for now she was dancing with the other ghoul, she started eyeing the boils around them, looking for the cutest one who looked single (or at least snag-able). No point going to a club and not finding a hot guy, even if it was just for the night.

At that time Mei really had no serious interest in any of the boils who were also at the club. If Mitzi felt the need to hook up with one of them well that was her prerogative.
Mei just wanted to dance.
Her body and movements kept in time with the beat of the music, even as the songs changed right after one another. She could feel the heat of all the living creatures beat against her cold dead skin.
Dance competitions between pairs of people seemed to break out everywhere. Everyone showing off their fanciest moves. And the ghoul got swept up into the moment. She began showing off her own dance moves as dancing on lookers watched, hooted and hollered.
Out of no where, a tall zombie boil jumped out of the group and started dancing with Mei. They spun around, ground up against each other. Mei laughed as he took a hold of her hand and spun her around before they broke contact again and continued their dancing.

Mitzi was always interested in boils. Never not interested in boils. Right now she was also interested in dancing, of course, and so any boil who could dance, who was there and was dancing, and particularly who would dance with her? Major plus.
Her parents had only "let" her learn more classical styles of dance. She hadn't had much pop dance experience, only occasionally when she could sneak out to the clubs back home, but she didn't let that stop her. She'd picked up enough that the zombie girl was not entirely showing her up.
She was not, however, about to let Mei be the only one to find a boil. Especially when the zombie ghoul wasn't even really trying. So when she found herself next to a demon who had been eyeing her back, she was more than happy to take his hand. He pulled her into a flurry of steps that she had a bit of trouble keeping up with; she was panting, but laughing, as she did her best to follow.

Minutes seemed to slip away with all the dancing. And soon several hours has passed.
Mei glanced up at the neon lighted clock and frowned. She really didn't want to leave but it was getting late and they might get in trouble if they tried to sneak back onto campus in the middle of the night.
She picked Mitzi out of the crowd and lightly took hold of her arm. Talking a little bit louder so that the other ghoul could hear her. "Hey! Its getting late! We should probably head back to campus now so we don't get in trouble for being out till Jack knows when!"

Mitzi hadn't even noticed the time passing; this was exactly what she'd needed, a night of fun where she wouldn't be thinking of school, or the Trials, or really anything heavy at all. So she was outright surprised when Mei came over and got her attention. She almost snapped at the other ghoul for distracting her from the hot boil she'd been dancing with, but once she figured out what the jiang shi was trying to tell her, she looked up at the clock as well.
Jackdamnit, they really ought to get going.
The boil had already moved on, so Mitzi just followed Mei towards the edge of the dance floor. It didn't take long for her to pick her things up, and she was glad she'd brought a coat, as it had indeed gotten chilly out. She didn't mind the wait for a cab, though, as they could till hear the music from in the club. "Thanks for bringing me, Mei!" she told the jiang shi, with a quick hug around her shoulders.
